Hi my fellow gogumas...Firstly, my heart goes outto the people of Japan, I cannot imagine how traumatic this catastrophe has been to our Japanese friends, in general, and our Japanese gogumas in particular, let's all pray for the situation in Japan to recover fast.

Today's episode is worth our spazzing, still daebak, especially when they were having the discussion about the unfortunate lost scarf incident, but after last week's episode that has been labelled 'mother ofall episodes', I understand why some of us may feel that it's"just ok".  I agree with so many of you that Yonghwa looked very guilty and felt really bad for realising that the scarf was missing from his luggage a little too late.  And naturally, Seohyun would be disappointed and sad that her hard labour of love seemed unimportant.  But, I loved seeing how they approached the issue, with a wee bit of cynicism (Seohyun), a great deal of justification and showing remorse (Yongwa), lots of teasing and humour (both), and what we love best-----------> having enough skinship and eyeship to last us till next Saturday.  I am glad to see that despite her young age, Seohyun doesn't behave like how young girls would typically react if the boyfriend loses that special present.  She didn't cry, nor did she pout the whole day and she could still smile and laugh during what could have been a very tensed moment.  But then, whose heart wouldn't melt when such a great looking guy uses his eyes, hands and head to pacify you!!  If it were I, I would immediately knit him another scarf and would even add in a pair of gloves!!  And knowing guys, shopping is such an arduous affair, but Yonghwa willed himself to do it in his effort to make her feel better.

And I hope everyone, gogumas and hamburgers alike, realise that it is normal for people to make mistakes.  It happens in any relationship, it doesn't mean that you care less or love less.  Yonghwa and Seohyun had shown us that, and making up after a conflict is the best part!!  Sharing my own experience, about 10 years ago, I lost my two boys at a shopping centre when they were 7 and 5, respectively, and only after 40 minutes did we finally find them.  Looking at Yonghwa's expression reminded me of how I felt during that unforgettable incident.  I felt bad, careless, irresponsible,regretful and sad, and I couldn't forgive myself for quite some time.  Idon't know how to put my point across, but I really felt that losing Seohyun's scarf affected him badly, too, almost comparable to how I felt then. Yeah, yeah, some gogumas might say, how could I compare losing a handmade scarf to almost losing your kids, it doesn't make sense!!  But the preview also clearly indicated that he still felt very sorry thus wanting to be better for her and giving her a present (I think it may even be something he personally knitted!!!).

On another note, do any Joongbo shippers like myself notice so many parallels between Joongbo and Yongseo?  I'll just list them in the spoiler:

   • Hwangbo - boiled chicken stuffed with rice, ginseng and red dates, and boiled onion drink for Hyun Joong's insomnia

After watching this episode that I've been fearing since I saw a preview last week, I was afraid to see reactions by some of the fans and netizens. I found myself just avoiding going to the fan forums that I usually go after an episode because I can't bear to see Yonghwa getting mercilessly bashed yet once again for him being human and for being a gentleman. The bashing last week was bad enough. I can't even imagine how bad it will be this week.

My heart broke for Seohyun when Yonghwa admitted that the scarf wasn't with him anymore. I can totally understand how upset she might be. I would have been upset, too. However, I do understand Yonghwa's situation, too. He didn't misplaced it. He wore it around as he promised.

During the hectic times between rehearsals, interviews, and performances in Japan, Yonghwa entrusted someone to put the scarf in the bag for him. How many times have we done that ourselves? Sometimes, it becomes necessary to ask and trust someone else to help us out with taking care something we cherish in life when things are hectic and busy. It seems like this is what happened. Yonghwa couldn't take care of the scarf that he wore at the time because he was rushing from rehearsals to interviews to concerts so he asked someone to put it in the bag for him and somehow the scarf got lost in the process. This kind of things happen all the time in life and it could happen for anyone.

No one, I mean, no one is perfect in this world. To error is human. Making mistakes doesn't make one a bad person. It just makes them human. It is how one acts about those mistakes that makes a difference.

Let's think. Yonghwa didn't have to say that he lost the scarf on air and on a national TV broadcasting no less. He could have pulled Seohyun to the side and told her that he no longer has the scarf, off air. He could have just told Seohyun that he would tell her later and just suggest shopping date for the day without telling her on air.

However, that is not the route he chose. He has been on the receiving end of "online bashing" for nearly everything he does or say in this past year enough to know that some netizens would have a field day with this particular mistake of his. Still, that didn't stop him from being honest and admitting his mistake, on air, on nationally broadcasted program that would likely be seen by fans all over the world. To me, that takes courage. To me, that makes him an honorable man.

To me, it made him more of a man that he was honest about his mistake so openly, even knowing how much he will disappoint someone that he cares about.

I want to ask those who are bashing Yonghwa for losing the scar this: Have you never lost something in your life, something that you cherished and treasured, unintentionally no matter how careful you were not to lose it? I am sure many of us have. I know I have. If you never have, let's imagine that you did. If you did, would you have a courage to come on a nationally televised variety show and admit to the world that you made a mistake and lost that and, in doing so, you are risking many people to be disappointed in you? I don't know if I would be that courageous. Sometimes, being honest is the most difficult thing to do, especially if you are having to do it with thousands of people watching and judging.

To be human and to be perfect is impossible. That is the reality, folks. That is the one truth in life that will never change. Expecting someone to be perfect and never make mistake is being completely unrealistic. It is how one handles those mistakes... that is what sets an honorable man apart from a dishonrable man. I hope people think about this carefully before bashing Yonghwa for losing the scarf.

To those who are bashing Yonghwa for losing that scarf and belittingly him for that, I wanted to say this: By focusing on something smaller, sometimes you end up losing sight of things that are more valuable and precious and things that are truly important in life.

Sure, it would have been much better if he didn't lost the scarf at all. However, he did. That won't change. Kick him around all you want for being human. Beat him up all you want for not taking time between interviews and such and putting the scarf in the bag himself instead of asking someone he trusted to do it for him. However, let's also give him credit for being honest and doing all he can to make up for his mistake.

If I was someone close to Seohyun, I would be glad that she has someone who can be honest about his mistakes even if it meant disappointing her than for her to be with someone who thinks he can be perfect all the time.

Next week's episode will bring tears to my eyes. I can tell that already...

im so sad right now.. it was the only thing which lifted up my mood because of news bout the ending of our couple..

On another note, do any Joongbo shippers like myself notice so many parallels between Joongbo and Yongseo?  I'll just list them in the spoiler:

1. Taking care of their shillang's health with nutritious food
   • Hwangbo - boiled chicken stuffed with rice, ginseng and red dates, and boiled onion drink for Hyun Joong's insomnia
   • Seohyun - ma drink, bee pollen for chord nodules

Anneyeong Unnie!  It's been awhile, nice to see and read your post.  Hope you're doing fine together with the rest of your family.  Sorry to cut your post by the way, and I agree with what  you've posted in the spoiler, and to be honest, I have started to rewatched  the Ssangchu couple, my biased in the 1st season and yes, I've noticed the similarities of the missions and events that our goguma couple is now doing, in fact they also did skating.  The only difference I think with the two pair is that with Ssangchu the activities/missions that they do always comes out hilarious specially with HJ's 4D personality and HB's boyish personality, while our fave couple here when they do their missions, it always comes out romantic and cute   And as whole, these two pairs are both gorgeous and just so lovable.  No wonder I'm shipping them

Thank you guys for sharing the news..but really though i wasn't putting much hope on them performing together tonight. I'm not sure maybe because there was no official announcement about it from MBC, or maybe i just missed it? but hey cheer up everyone at least they were on the same stage tonight and had probably met up with each other back stage, who knows :-)

This may sound like a fanfic but...

maybe oneday in years to come when both of them are separated by time and have taken different path in life, the scarf would reappear again, i dunno how but its just my imagination, either yonghwa or seohyun finding it again and it sort of reminded them of the time when they were in the midst of falling in love with each other and how much they meant to each other. Maybe just maybe everything happens for a reason eh? we will never know.:-)

I think MBC & the organizer maybe already try their best for this couple to perform, as it requested by their fans.

I think also, the arrangement was made by the organizer (maybe MBC also) & not confirm by their perspective companies. I believe this couple also would love to perform but it unprofessional to put their performance in between other artist also, right. & I don't think our couple would agree to that. They are professional enough not to act like that.

But as we know, Yonghwa still got to attend to his MC task tomorrow for his last Inki.

this is my first post in second thread, but why i feel so down today. just hope they have duet, but then nothing. i feel sorry for Thai Goguma. and i feel my hope for yongseo together just lessen. why, seeing their schedule like that, clashing each other, i dont know they ll have time for each other anymore. i doubt about that. the  thing i can support now is their invidual actitivities, but why i feel less meaningful when i support them when they are toghether. just like the support feeling have to divide 2.

yes, we fans have no right to argument about their relationship, but what they gave us in 1 year make us hope. make us confused . why i am like this today.   iwish Snsd come back soon with strong image and better album. i wish hyun wil show more her ability. Yong has a lot of chance to show his ability now, i want will have too.

most of the time, people will talk how perfect yong or hyun is, but today we see the inperfect side of yong. and i like it. it is quite tired when everything you do people said that perfect, and they will expect too high about that. while Yong and hyun are just normal young people. i hope they show more their inperfect side because this is the way you learn about relationship, but now we have no chance anymore for this. depressed mode.
