'Queen of Tears,' 'Physical: 100' claim top 2 spots of Netflix's non-English TV List

 

 

Two Korean shows secured the top two positions on Netflix's weekly ranking for non-English TV chart, the global streaming giant said Wednesday.

 

TvN's romantic drama "Queen of Tears" and the reality competition show "Physical: 100 Season 2 - Underground" landed at No. 1 and 2 on the chart, respectively.

 

The former clocked 4.6 million views and the latter garnered 4.2 million views during the viewing period from March 25 to 31.

 

"Queen of Tears," starring Kim Ji-won and Kim Soo-hyun, follows the story of a married couple who reignite their love amid a series of marital crises.

Here, Park Sung Hoon revealed that Kim Soo Hyun was the reason why he joined "Queen of Tears".  He also praised him for his incredible acting performances. Park Sung Hoon admitted that he is a long-time fan of Kim Soo Hyun. "Although he is younger than me, I have always been a big fan of his. I've watched a lot of movies and dramas he was in." He added that Kim Soo Hyun is such a great actor and it makes him admire him even more. Park Sung Hoon further explained that when he started appearing in series after doing plays, his reference for acting was Kim Soo Hyun's. Now that his dream of working with Kim Soo Hyun finally come true, the hosts asked whether his image has changed in his eyes. *** Major overseas media outlets are also highlighting the global popularity of the 'Queen of Tears.'  TIME is a reputable US media outlet, same thing as FORBES & additionally, The Straits Times is one of the most influential newspapers in Southeast Asia and Singapore's largest daily newspaper. I saw on Netflix that it says last episode is coming out on April 28. Waiting a whole week for a new episode is too much of a torture. I hate to be left hanging. The drama is very good.

Kim Soo Hyun revealed some of Kim Ji Won‘s secrets. - hahaha - He explained that Ji Won always “carries around her own body massagers.”  Park Sung Hoon revealed that she loves to snack, like chocolates or crackers so she’ll bring her own and even share with everyone on set!

*** Also, on April 4, when Netflix Content dropped the behind-the-scenes gossip from the set of "Queen of Tears,"  the actors were asked which role, if not the one they're doing right now, in the series would they want to portray. They all gave unique answers. Kim Soo Hyun said that he wanted to portray Hong Man Dae (Kim Kap Soo), the head of the Hong family and the chairman of the Queens Group. Park Sung Hoon, who currently plays the role of Yoon Eun Sung, said he wants to swap roles with Kwak Dong Yeon, who portrays the youngest son of the Hong family, Hong Soo Chul. When it was Kwak Dong Yeon's turn, he mentioned that he wanted to step into the shoes of one of his castmates, with whom he also feels jealous of. This co-star is said to be the most pampered on the set, and receives praise for even just doing the bare minimum. He is none other than Kwak Dong Yeon's on-screen son, Geon U!
