tvN’s “Queen of Tears” is now the drama with the third-highest ratings in tvN history!

 

On April 7, the popular romance drama starring Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won soared to its highest viewership ratings yet. According to Nielsen Korea, the latest episode of “Queen of Tears” scored an average nationwide rating of 19.0 percent, making it the most-watched program of any kind to air on Sunday.

 

Not only did the ratings mark a new personal best for the show, but “Queen of Tears” has now overtaken “Reply 1988” to achieve the third-highest ratings of any tvN drama to date. At present, “Queen of Tears” has only been bested by the smash hits “Crash Landing on You” and “Goblin,” both of which managed to break the 20 percent mark.

@backstreetboysfan tvN dramas are popular in and out of Korea. The channel has quite a lot of hit dramas on its record. The channel keeps on having high ratings with interesting plots and Hallyu actors in its cast. I believe this. Queen of Tears has overtaken Reply 1988 and become the 3rd highest rated drama in tvN having a 19% numbers. It started with 5.9% and reached impressive ratings of 19% with episode 10th, placing Reply 1988 on the 4th spot.

@Magician  thanks for sharing this. The candidates were chosen among television shows, OTT programs, and films that aired or were released between April 1, 2023 and March 31, 2024. For series, candidates were chosen among programs that have aired at least one third of the series as of March 31. Productions that were excluded last year because they were released during the screening period were also included in this year’s pool. The ceremony is scheduled to take place at COEX and will be broadcast live via JTBC. (2) of my predicted nominees for Best Actors in TV were included on the list : Kim Soo Hyun and Im Siwan. Good luck to both of them. But, I wonder why Wonderful World is not included in Best Drama. Well, I guess Moving or Concrete Utopia  will get the Daesang award because they are both considered successful and have cultural impact. Fingers crossed.......
