Guest piano_lady
Thanks, blackheart021! Definitely made my day! Here are the BV-related photos from the site Seoul Drama Awards 2009 I went to Daejeon, a city in the middle of South Korea, on Saturday afternoon to attend a Korean friend's wedding. She was a former student when I was still doing the lucrative "phone teaching" more than three years ago. I went there by myself and when I returned to Seoul, I decided to drop by Kyobo Bookstore in Gwanghwamun. I took the 704 bus from Seoul Station (I took the KTX to and from Daejeon) and got off at Sejong's Cultural Center. I didn't immediately go to Kyobo Bookstore when I noticed the plasma mounts in front of the cultural center. A crowd had gathered at the steps to the theatres watching the big screens. The banners of "Seoul Drama Awards 2009″ were all over the place and in the newly-opened Gwanghwamun Plaza is an exhibition featuring the popular dramas shown last week, including the Kim Myung Min-starrer "Beethoven Virus." ^^ a fan poses with a violin at the Beethoven Virus exhibit ^^ "young and nice" Gun Woo's room ^^ a wall display featuring Beethoven Virus ^^ Du Rumi's violin in her room ^^ a fan gamely poses for the camera while seated on Kang Mae's chair Being a Korean drama fan, I didn't have to think twice about spending some time exploring the exhibits. I just love the "Beethoven Virus" exhibit featuring the rooms of Kang Mae, Gun Woo and Rumi.

Guest piano_lady
reposting from MyungMin International Lee Ji-ah to visit Japan to attend the International Drama Festival It has been understood that Lee Ji-Ah is going to Japan after the drama 'Style' (SBS) ends. She, together with Lee Jae Kyu, director of popular drama that was broadcasted end of last year, “Beethoven Virus – Symphony of Love and Passion” (MBC), will be visiting Japan late this week to attend the “International Drama Festival in TOKYO 2009” which starts on the 19th. Lee Ji-Ah was known in Japan, but her popularity improved after “Beethoven Virus” was broadcasted. Besides, if “Style”, co-starring Ryu Shi-Won who is highly popular in Japan, is broadcasted, she will become even more popular. At the end of last year, “Beethoven Virus” created the “Kang Mae Syndrome”. If it wins the Best Picture Award in the International Drama Festival, it is expected to be recognized in Asia as one of the Best Dramas. Guest chiahooi
Hi piano_lady, thx for d warm welcome! *touched* Ya, BV had started airing in Msia since October. Ratings were not reviewed by local press, so I've no idea, sorry about that, but the slot is a Golden Hour slot, so i'm sure there would be a lot of viewers including ajuma in Msia... haha... I started watching BV bcoz of classical music and Nondame J-drama, I've read about some reviews stating that BV was not pro enuf as they used pro cd in d show (coz the members r not pro according to the story, compare to Nondame using non-pro cd), but I'm not too agree about that, I think v should really appreciate of the casts' efforts of learning something new and made the skills of playing instruments as real as a pro, that's enough for me... So, what I want to say is don't compare the two drama, as Nondame is a bit of fantasy and BV is more to reality. (as stated by some of the replies here too!) I'm joining MMI, see me around n start bugging u, mayb, haha..
Guest piano_lady
Hi chiahooi! Thanks for the info about BV I heard that they excluded a lot of scenes...and the Malaysian version is dubbed. The original version (with Kang Mae's voice) would have been much much better. I am curious to know how the famous "Dong ddong oe ri" line was delivered in Chinese.. Anyway, yeah, do join us in MMI! I don't mind your bugging me! Hahahah!!

Guest chiahooi
Hi piano_lady, yes, BV is dubbed in M'sia, including all korean drama that aired on the same slot. It's not change its policy although many viewers left comments on the forum and ask for original sound of drama. T_T They might think that K-drama is a bit draggy, all K-drama would be cut of some scenes... T_T Haha... that "Dong ddong oe ri" sound as 'yi dui gou shi'... not that 'powerful' in chinese right? Guest zung21
I have gained more interest and knowledge in classical music after watching this drama. It brings classical music close to daily life routine yet deprives classical music from any amateur purposes . I really like the way this drama educates normal people how to approach classical music: use your utmost imagination to feel the music. Classical music is made for one who truly cherishes its rhythm with one's heart. Very well written script . The conductor is profoundly an interesting character , he brings everyone to their extreme's . I can relate to my previous team in my former company. I do have arrogant bosses, ignorant colleagues and it was the pain in the neck to work harmoniously together yet if we stroke for the same goal, we would archive it. Myung Min performance is remarkable. If the whole crew represents each instrument within an orchestra, Myung Min certainly is the best conductor harmonizing them all together. After listening to Liber Tango: Astor Piazzolla acted by Hee-Yun Jung(Ok-Suk Song) on cello, I'm seriously gonna take cello lesson next month . Very inspiring ! The deep vibration of a cello really breaks my heart into pieces. I read somewhere that in a orchestra, if the piano is the king, the violin will be the princess and the cello will be the queen, I think it's very lovely comparison Thumps up ! @winwetty: thank you for your CD list, I spent whole night listen to those tracks !!!
