I'm up to episode 6, but I can't find it with Eng subs anywhere. Does anyone know where I can watch it? I've tried all the usual streaming sites, but it's all been taken down

I just finished the drama. I watched it because of Jang Guen Suk. It was decent. I really dislike Bad Gun Woo though, I dunno if it is the translation that I couldn't sympathize him or if I was too in love with JGS that I can't get over how unattractive KMM was to me. The ending was kinda mediocre to me, I almost didn't realized that it end.

Overall, worth watching for JSG and my favorite piece that played was with Cello Ahjummah. That piece made me all giddy inside, I loved it.

I just found the Directors cut version of BV . I did not even know there was one. Wow.

I heard they may have added more scenes previously unseen. Anyone bought it?

Regarding the Directors Cut DVD, yes there are some deleted scenes there -- most of young Kang Mae when he was still a student. I will try to make caps of it

I just finished the drama. I watched it because of Jang Guen Suk. It was decent. It was exactly the opposite for me. I couldn't stand the touchy-feely JGS character, and I loved KMM's character. One of my favorite K-Dramas of all time.

wow is it too late to jump on the beethoven virus bandwagon?

i totally agree with you chuck slavi^^ while i love jang geun suk, just because he's hot, he was nothing compared to Kim Myung Min. It takes a LOT of skills to play an evil character in a loving way (kinda like Meryl Streep in Devil Wears Prada) he's like the korean male version xDDD JGS played his part well as a growing music student but perhaps it's just that his character wasnt written as dynamic as KMM's so i wont hold him up to too much scrutiny

Besides KMM, the simple relationships within the ochestera was simply endearing...yes they played the shoot for your dream card a little too obvious in the beginning but as the drama unfolded they're side relations and how they interact with each other was so refreshing, compared to the angst of the 3 leads

I especially loved Yi Deun and the grandpa story, simply touching...

I am just at Episode 14 but I find that it is not keeping my interest although I told myself I should finished this drama. I watched it because of JGS ! I don't like some of the characters in this drama and it annoys me alot. I know that this drama is about relationship between your seniors, friends, man and woman etc but I find it rather 'dry'. I usually like the character of the female lead however not this one because I find that she is not being sincere in the beginning when she dated the younger Gun Woo and then decided that she likes the older Gun Woo. The younger Gun Woo has to find out the hard way...eavesdropping !..I felt so bad for the younger Gun Woo. My poor JGS ! I will try to finish the drama this weekend.

Kim Myung Min will be making his comeback to the small screen in the 16-episode MBC miniseries "Beethoven Virus" (Script Hong Jin Ah, Hong Ja Ram; PD Lee Jae Gyu), set to air in July. Kim Myung Min will be playing Kang Gun Woo, an orchestra conductor in his 40's. His character is an elite conductor with a very bad reputation, and who will do absolutely anything in order to create the very best music. But due to his self-righteous and stubborn personality that makes him think only his thoughts are correct, he is unable to form good relationships with those around him. Also, he is an elite conductor who insists that classical music is made for nobility only. Gun Woo is a 'workaholic' and has a very troublesome personality, and thus seems similar to the character of Jang Joon Hyuk in the drama "White Tower". Kim Myung Min has gotten the opportunity to harden his acting skills by playing another unique character. "Beethoven Virus" draws the story of people who've been abandoned by music, and have abandoned music themselves, and who create an orchestra and encounter many difficulties. This story will concentrate on classical music, and thus brings to mind the popular Japanese manga "Nodame Cantabile".

Lee Ji Ah will playing the role of 27 years old "Du Ru Mi", a frank and lively talented girl who plays the violin by the ear. She may seem womanly and elegant on the surface but she is tomboyish girl who even dares to share adult videos with her male friends. Jang Geun Suk will be playing "Kang Gun Woo" a person who is gifted musically with the perfect pitch and will form a love triangle with conductor "Kang Gun Woo" who has the same name as him and Du Ru Mi.

Synopsis

Two musicians who retired from their musical careers for different reasons join together with a demanding and difficult genius conductor to form an orchestra against all odds. Although it requires a lot of hard work to form their orchestra, they keep chasing their dreams of doing what they love the most in the world and this gives them great satisfaction. Three young and old people with different personalities and life experiences gather together under a common dream and they find love and the room to forgive each other as they eventually earn each other’s respect.
