The newly released stills depict Han Ji Pyung in various moments of his daily life. He is wearing different suits in all the photos, and his fashion reflects his youthful tastes and unrestricted perspective.
In another still, Han Ji Pyung has a boyish and playful smile (see top image), which is a contrast from his cold and expressionless face when working. Gong Yoo, Bae Doona, And Lee Joon Confirm For Upcoming Series Produced By Jung Woo Sung
Gong Yoo, Bae Doona, and Lee Joon have officially confirmed for the Netflix Original series “The Sea of Silence,” to be produced by Jung Woo Sung.
“The Sea of Silence” will be a sci-fi horror thriller that is set in the future, where desertification has left the earth with food and water shortages. A special team is tasked with retrieving mysterious samples from an abandoned research station on the moon.
Bae Doona will be playing Dr. Song Ji Ahn, an astrobiologist who joins a team working to discover the secret behind an accident that took place at the research station.
Gong Yoo will be playing Han Yoon Jae, a team leader who takes on a critical mission of retrieving samples from the research station. He puts the safety of his team members above all else and is not afraid to make personal sacrifices. Because his mission values the samples more than the accident that happened in the past, he frequently butts heads with Song Ji Ahn.
Meanwhile, Lee Joon will be taking on the role of a talented engineer named Ryu Tae Seok. An elite employee of the Ministry of National Defense, he decides to volunteer for a dangerous mission to see some action outside of the stuffy building he works in.
The story is an expansion on the short film of the same name by director Choi Hang Yong, who will also be helming the Netflix series. Penning the script will be writer Park Eun Gyo of the film “Mother.”

With a heavy heart I hv decided to part ways with Soompi . In recent times, the lack of communication by parent company with those in senior leadership , removal of our Administrators & many features without warning or consultation was really disappointing and disheartening. It is being written by Park Hye Ryun (“I Hear Your Voice“) and directed by Oh Choong Hwan (“Hotel Del Luna”), both who previously worked on “While You Were Sleeping.”
Suzy will play Seo Dal Mi, who dreams of becoming Korea’s Steve Jobs. She’s an adventurer who doesn’t own much, but has a grand plan for herself. She also has experience in a wide range of part-time jobs and is a person of great vitality. The character is expected to mesh well with Suzy’s bright energy.
Nam Joo Hyuk’s character Nam Do San is the founder of Samsan Tech. He was once the pride of his family as a math genius, but for the past two years, he’s been going nowhere with his company’s investments. It turns out that Seo Dal Mi remembers him as her ‘cool first love,’ and he decides to begin a startup in the hope of turning Seo Dal Mi’s misunderstanding into reality.
The role of Han Ji Pyung, who begins a startup company to pay off his debt, will be played by Kim Seon Ho. A team leader at SH Venture Capital, his astonishing investment skills and sharp tongue earn him the nickname, “the Gordan Ramsay of investments.” Though he’s prickly to most others, he’s softer than anyone to one special person who granted him a great favor in the past.
Lastly, Kang Han Na will take on the role of CEO Won In Jae, who has everything society respects: the educational background, beautiful appearance, and money. She considers her background as a second generation chaebol a weakness and does everything she can to create success on her own and be acknowledged for her skills. However, she ends up being used and thrown away by her father, and in order to stop being a disposable piece on her father’s chess board, she throws herself into a startup.

I am not even sure I can find all of these Drama, but I will look..
ah, I see that Viki still has "The Great Protector," "Perfect Couple," "The Glamorous Imperial Concubine," and "Strange Hero Yi Zhi Mei." Also a more recent film "Reset." As I said, I have my "homework" cut out for me.
I have only seen him in "Love Me if You Dare" (My first Drama watching him), and then "The Imperial Doctress" followed by 'Ruyi", and "At Dolphin Bay." (I was so thrilled to find it on Netflix.) I am watching now "Battle of Changsha."
ah, I did watch most of "Romance of Red Dust" with Shu Qui... I love her too, but I did not like this Drama at all.
I am glad to see that Netflix now has also "West Side Story;" and also the movie "Hide and Seek.

I have not seen any of the films that Park Cheol worked on, and I have only seen one Drama written by Kim Ji-Soo; But it so happens that this Drama - Medical Brothers - is one of my all times favorite.

Jung Il-woo in talks to lead new historical drama ‘Bossam – Stealing Destiny’
It seems like Jung Il-woo is in for a busy year! According to a source from his agency, HB Entertainment, the actor is looking over an offer to star in the upcoming historical series Bossam – Stealing Destiny (literal title).
Set during the rule of King Gwanghaegun in the Joseon dysnasty, Bossam – Stealing Destiny will tell the story of a person who accidentally abducts Princess Soo Kyung.
Jung Il-woo was offered to play the male protagonist Ba Woo, a matchmaker of widows who have lost their hopes of getting remarried to a lineup of potential new husbands. When he was still young, someone set him up for a conspiracy. He was able to run away, but since then, he had to go around in disguise and live in poverty.
Jung made his small-screen debut in the 2006 family drama High Kick. In 2011, he played his breakout role in the romantic fantasy series 49 Days. That same year, he landed his next lead role after 2009’s Moon River in the rom-com drama Flower Boy Ramen Shop. He went on to take part in the critically acclaimed project The Moon Embracing the Sun in 2012. Currently, Jung portrays the male lead in JTBC’s inspirational rom-com series Sweet Munchies alongside Kang Ji-young and Lee Hak-joo.
Spearheaded by PD Kwon Seok-jang of Avengers Social Club (2017) as well as screenwriters Kim Ji-soo of the upcoming Birthcare Center (2020) and Park Cheol, Bossam – Stealing Destiny will be a tale of love and life that bravely confronts the maltreatment on women and the less fortunate members of the society during Korea’s olden times. I was really impressed with him in CITT and sad with the ending and how they didn’t give him enough aired times at the end of the drama. Park Hae Jin Talks About Acting In “Kkondae Intern,” The Kind Of Senior Actor He Is, And More
Actor Park Hae Jin participated in an interview to discuss his latest drama “Kkondae Intern” and his career.
“Kkondae Intern” is an office comedy about a man who finally gets sweet revenge on a former boss who once made his life miserable. Park Hae Jin stars as Ga Yeol Chan, who becomes the head of the marketing team at Jun Su Foods after moving up the corporate ladder at lightning speed. Kim Eung Soo stars as Lee Man Shik, Ga Yeol Chan’s boss at his former company but now his subordinate at Jun Su Foods.
First off, Park Hae Jin shared his thoughts on the conclusion of “Kkondae Intern.” He said, “I’m sad that it’s about to end. Usually, I feel bittersweet after a production is over, but I feel more sad this time because it ends at episode 12. I didn’t get to see all the narratives of the characters, and I was also curious about the story of Namgoong Jun Su [played by Park Ki Woong]. Still, I think this work seems to have been a life-oriented drama.”
When asked about how he noticed the popularity of this drama, he answered, “I realized that the drama was receiving a lot of love through online comments and news articles. I think viewers thought more deeply about the drama and they empathized with it a lot. I’ve never worked at a company before, but I tried to show a dramatic performance, and when I saw the comments saying, ‘It felt like I was looking at our company,’ and ‘Yes, it was very tiring,’ I realized people were going through a rough time at work.”
Park Hae Jin also talked about how his character’s personality suddenly changed. He admitted he had a tough time with that, saying, “There was a scene when Ga Yeol Chan exploded after being driven into a corner. I couldn’t relate to the character, so the ending of episode six was hard for me. He had a different tone than the beginning, and it was a time when Ga Yeol Chan was cornered. In reality, I don’t really experience that kind of irritation, so I worked harder to portray it.”
Park Hae Jin also talked about the kind of senior actor he is. He commented, “Actually, I think I’m careful when it comes to giving someone advice about acting because I’m busy acting myself. In my opinion, ‘acting’ is the process of putting pieces together for the picture we will make at the end. While doing this work, I thought I should become a good senior to my juniors.”
The interviewer pointed out that he seemed like someone who would take care of his junior actors a lot, and he answered with a laugh, “I’m always hungry on drama sets, so I try to share what I have. I feel awkward when someone thanks me. I try to be careless about sharing because it can feel like I’m showing off. I do appreciate it if they can feel my sincerity.”
When asked if he now has more confidence about acting in comedies, the actor explained, “I don’t suddenly have confidence about it, but I’m trying to find my own humor. I’m convinced that good scenes come from good reactions rather than acting comically up front.”
Park Hae Jin also talked about his chemistry with Kim Eung Soo, saying, “‘Kkondae Intern’ focuses on bromance. Every drama has melodrama on it, but I think it was good that there was none in this drama. A memorable bromance scene is when I drag Kim Eung Soo by the hand. It’s a romantic scene, but it seems to have been well expressed as bromance. Kim Eung Soo’s reaction was at its peak.”
When asked about a possibility of a second season, Park Hae Jin replied, “There wasn’t any talk about a second season. There were people who wanted to make it happen, so if the opportunity comes, that would be great.”
Lastly, the actor shared what he thinks is a kkondae (a term that describes an older person who is often condescending or uses their age to justify their actions). He said, “It’s someone who forces their own thoughts on others and who believes they’re absolutely right. I think it’s also someone who thinks they’re an open person. There may be people who have different opinions from me, but I think the person who says, ‘I am absolutely right’ is a kkondae.”
The final episode of “Kkondae Intern” aired on July 1.

Lee Joon In Talks To Join Sci-Fi Horror Drama Alongside Gong Yoo And Bae Doona
We may be seeing Lee Joon’s return to acting soon!
On June 15, it was reported that Lee Joon would be appearing in the upcoming Netflix original series “The Sea of Silence” (literal title). A source from his agency Prain TPC stated, “It’s true that Lee Joon has received an offer to appear in the drama and he is currently looking over it.”
If Lee Joon accepts the role, it will be his first drama since 2017’s “Father Is Strange.” He is said to have been offered the role of Tae Seok, a man with a military background who is intelligent, soft-spoken, and caring. He gets along with everyone on the team but if they really think about it, they don’t really know anything about him.
“The Sea of Silence” will be a sci-fi horror thriller that is set in the future, where desertification has left the earth with food and water shortages. A special team is tasked with retrieving mysterious samples from an abandoned research base on the moon.
The upcoming series will be based on a short film of the same name by director Choi Hang Yong, who was highlighted at the 13th Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival in 2014. Choi Hang Yong is set to direct the series, with Jung Woo Sung participating as a producer. Other actors who are in talks to join the series include Gong Yoo, Bae Doona, and Lee Joon Hyuk.
“The Sea of Silence” is set to begin filming this August.

Breaking: Jung So Min And Lee Joon Confirmed To Have Broken Up After 3 Years Of Dating
After dating for three years, Jung So Min and Lee Joon have parted ways.
On June 26, Dispatch reported that representatives for both Jung So Min and Lee Joon had announced that the couple had broken up. According to the report, one source stated, “The two recently broke up,” while the other added, “They’ve decided to remain on good terms and cheer each other on as fellow actors.”
Later that morning, both stars’ agencies confirmed the report. Lee Joon’s agency PrainTPC stated, “Lee Joon and Jung So Min recently broke up. Lee Joon is planning to greet the public soon through a good project,” while Jung So Min’s agency Blossom Entertainment similarly confirmed, “Jung So Min and Lee Joon recently broke up. They have decided to remain colleagues.”
According to Dispatch, sources close to the two stars commented, “They spent a lot of time apart. Since they were both busy, they grew apart from one another. They ended up deciding to focus more on their individual work.”
After starring together in the KBS drama “Father is Strange,” Jung So Min and Lee Joon began dating in October 2017 and went public with their relationship several months later.

ah, @angelangie... I loved both. And I agree with you about his character in Ruyi's Palace. And I love his pairing with Zhou Xun, whom I also love.

Soo Ae In Talks For Her First Drama In 4 Years
Actress Soo Ae might be returning to the small screen!
On June 23, a source from the drama industry told Ilgan Sports, “Soo Ae will be playing the lead role in the drama ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’ (literal translation).”
The lead role is that of Ha Young Eun, the leader of the design team at a fashion label. She is a cold-hearted realist but is also smart and prioritizes safety above all things. Her biological age is 38, but as a designer at a fashion label, she manages her body and follows the trends in order to maintain a youthful and beautiful appearance. She is clear about reaping the rewards for her own work, and doesn’t waste time getting emotional over men.
Soo Ae’s agency, Huayi Brothers, stated to multiple media outlets, “She has received a casting offer for the drama and is positively reviewing it.”
If Soo Ae accepts, it will be her first TV drama in four years. Her last drama was in 2016 with “Sweet Stranger and Me.”
“Now, We Are Breaking Up” is written by Je In (“Misty“) and directed by Lee Gil Bok (“My Love from the Star“). The drama is still in discussions about broadcast date and details.

Lee Sang Yeob Talks About His “Once Again” Character, Experiencing Career Slumps, And More
Lee Sang Yeob has participated in a interview about his recently concluded hit drama “Once Again”!
KBS2’s “Once Again” aired its finale on September 13, scoring impressive average nationwide ratings of 33.6 percent and 34.8 percent for its two parts.
In the drama, Lee Sang Yeob stars as Yoon Gyu Jin, a man who re-experiences love after getting a divorce from Song Na Hee (played by Lee Min Jung). As the two went back and forth between heartbreak and love, Lee Sang Yeob and Lee Min Jung received lots of love for their excellent chemistry.
Although he typically creates his characters as he acts as them, Lee Sang Yeob explained that he wanted to portray “Lee Sang Yeob’s Yoon Gyu Jin” this time. He elaborated on this, sharing, “I wanted to gradually mesh into my character. I wanted the fighting in the drama to appear like real-life fighting and I even wanted my breathing and my sighs to appear as my own. Starting from the middle, I think my image really came out. I don’t know if the writer did this intentionally, but Yoon Gyu Jin was a character whose style of speech matched my own.”
Lee Sang Yeob also picked Lee Min Jung as his best acting partner, calling their experience acting as a couple very special. He commented on her husband, sharing, “It’s not that I didn’t feel conscious about Lee Byung Hun [watching me act with Lee Min Jung], but I heard he watched our drama well. Since he was watching my acting, it was very fascinating and an honor.”
He continued, “Through this drama, I was able to experience morning sickness, divorce, and reconciliation. I wanted to calmly portray our reconciliation. With that, I naturally began thinking about marriage. That’s when I realized that consideration you don’t speak up about is not consideration at all.”
“Once Again” concluded with a happy ending for all characters, of which Lee Sang Yeob shared, “I really like this happy ending. All the characters matured. Through ‘Once Again,’ I also matured and got the opportunity to think about happiness. I think this drama really showed the people in it well. Although our actors acted well, I believe our writer wrote very well too.”
Early this year, Lee Sang Yeob simultaneously appeared in SBS’s “Good Casting” and KBS’s “Once Again.” The actor commented, “I wondered whether that was possible, or if it was even allowed. Viewers could get mixed up between Yoon Gyu Jin and Yoon Seok Ho, and since they were both my acting, I worried about whether they would see them as the same. However, it was a relief that people saw both Yoon Gyu Jin and Yoon Seok Ho individually and positively.”
After spending the first three quarters of 2020 very busily, Lee Sang Yeob revealed his need to recharge, feeling as if he’s run out as an actor. He shared, “I’ve been thinking about what I should fill that with. These days, I’ve been resting and slowly looking at my face again. I think I need change.”
Lee Sang Yeob made his debut in 2007 in the KBS drama “A Happy Woman” and is now in his 14th year as an actor. He confessed that when he wasn’t well-known, he thought of himself as an actor who couldn’t provide joy. Although he’s fulfilling his desires as an actor now, he revealed that he still experiences slumps the same. Since he was never satisfied with himself, he believes that is why he was able to become as tough as he is today.
He added, “I think it was good that I didn’t rest and kept acting. I am pretty proud of myself for not giving up. I think the endorphins I feel on set have become my driving force. Also, I use the sense of achievement I feel while acting to comfort myself. I do believe that I’m enjoying my time well, but I’m still always overcoming a slump.”
