  1. @dejun Thanks again for the translations!xoxo

Sharing short clips of Arthur interviews, with sub. (PS: this twitter handler is really resourceful, and I remember she (he?) was one of Arthur's defenders a few months ago when the WYB rumors were rampant on twitter).

Heheh... Arthur admits himself of being OCD . I remember CKG made him join the Smart Dad show, to help him learn the skill in dealing with chaotic situation lololol... but he seemed to be doing quite well there, no?

Yeah, actually the scene not require a truly physical stunt, it said that Yun Xi has to carry unconscious Arthur while climbing the 3799 stairs, you know our boy is so big n heavy, and... And arthur must stay in the position to make Yun Xi not too much burden, maybe his legs were cramps and get hit the stairs... Oh well... What a scene...

Arthur Studio has released news about the injury

Thank God he's recovering! Oh, so the sprain was caused by him having to strain his calf muscles for hours? It must've such a tasking challenge for both of them. I'm guessing they also put him in wires. I remember a BTS of Yiren & Dylan Wang for EN2, when Ning Que had to fight off people with Sang Sang on his back -- perhaps that's also how Arthur & Leo did it? Only it should be more difficult for the guys since Arthur is much bigger than Leo.

CFX n LYX both got hurt for the 3799 steps scenes, LYX got hurt in back and hands, while CFY got hurt in leg, we can see he walked a little limp.

Poor guys! I hope they'll recover soon! Hm, I think this is quite concerning for Arthur since not too long ago he injured his leg when filming a scene for CKG's movie. Remember he couldn't attend the Weibo Night because of that? Sure,  he's still very young, but IMO he (and Luo Yunxi and all other actors!) needs to do requisite preparation before doing any physical stunt, so as not to hurt themselves. The impact may not be immediate, but for a long term, if not handled properly. I also hope the production company has adequate safety measures and equipments. I'm still a bit traumatized after what happened to Godfrey Gao .

ahahahha ok then LOL, i believe if he didnt shoot HYX together with LoA airing... I dont think he get top 10 :phew:, but i dont know whether the rank is from the drama airing only or anytime... I think it is an anytime popularity right?

Heyyyy... don't underestimate our boy!  Yes, popularity rank doesn't always relate to drama airing. But if it's due to HYX, don't forget Yunxi is in it too. I haven't seen his name, though he seems very popular among the fandom. We'll see when his drama airs this week :) .

I was looking for it too.

Ladies, I watched those videos, and I realize there are even  more parts that got cut/missing. The ones I noticed include Arthur singing MBS ost to Landou, and the three of them (with Zhang Zifeng) visiting the horses stable. Likely there are more.

BTW, I definitely overlooked it the first time I watched those episodes, but Dylan Xiong was one of the guests in the subsequent episodes! I guess that's Tencent marketing, eh?

I don't think you have, but my memory could be fuzzy. I'd love to have the whole interview translated! More often than not, I really Arthur's answers in his interviews. They sound honest but still thoughtful.

Hmmmm so now he is somehow targeting for market 25-30s, mother and household? LOL

Hahahhahaha! He's an old soul & seems like a homebody, so I actually think the endorsement fits him! This is not the first time he endorses a mid-level brand. Remember the cosmetics line, skin care, and milk? (He had a very cute milk TVC).

Yes, Zhao Liying was also with Huang Bin! I don't remember if her contract with Omo was during Huang Bin time.

After read the twitter about arthur's IG deleted post, i was surprised since some of them are new! And then i checked to his IG, and omg, only few of posts right now! I wonder why.. Even there is no posts when he was shooting legend of awakening back then. Why arthur why... Only 2 posts related to ever night. Sigh...

Really? So it's a major deletion? Or perhaps they were not deleted but locked, so only him who can see those posts now. But yeah, I'm surprised too. He prolly want to restrict his social media so they will be work-related only, and it looks like he'd even gradually delete posts related to finished/aired projects? Anyway, while I love speculating, I just hope our young man remains healthy & can cope with whatever pressures and challenges he's facing now.

  7. Arthur's got a new endorsement, and that's for a laundry product. I'm sorry Arthur, but this really amuses me. Because, domestic stuff -- it's so apt!

PS. Is it just me or it's indeed quite difficult now to find interviews or articles about him like we used to have? In his past interviews we'd discover interesting things about him, including the quirky ones. I suppose because he's become more known to public and involved in big projects, his team is a lot more careful and selective. Honestly, the recent ones feel a little bland & more superficial :(.

I wonder how did he get them after being deleted hmmm? Or he like to capture all his IG LOL

If you remember, there are accounts that like to repost Arthur's IG & weibo posts. Or perhaps people use apps/programs to retrieve deleted pages -- after all most web pages are archived in the net! But I agree -- it takes determination and, um, passion to go that far!

Yes there are 3 eps with engsub of Arthur's part, i've seen them all, and cant found it hiks...

Ahhh, I see.. well, I have no idea then. I'll watch the other episodes and see closely.

My question is why CFY didnt do the same thing, like going happy camp, or sweet task for LoA with Cheng Xiao and friends... Hiks...

It didn't occur to me, but now that you mentioned I realize that yes, indeed, the promotion for LoA is quite minimal. The show has been doing quite well on its own legs -- the leads' popularity, and initial good words-to-mouth. I'm guessing it was also due to Covid-19, then the main cast got busy with their respective projects.

Hm, wasn't it in Arthur's own IG? If I'm not mistaken, this is his picture with Kim Jones (from Dior). Probably this is also one of those IG posts he deleted. (Someone made a Twitter thread about his deleted IG posts). Anyway, glad someone preserved that picture :).

Arthur is still so young, only 20 years of age.   Although I love to see him perfect his acting skills but I prefer to see his improvement in every production he's in instead.  Growth is what I enjoy seeing in actors that I admire very much.  @caranita  Just give him time to do so.  He has shown much improvement in LOA with the range of emotions on display.  I want to see him in good action scenes because of his youth like the ones he acted in EN1. :D

For goodness sake, let our boy enjoys his youth.  I wish I could be in his shoes right now, sigh... :tears:

Well said. I agree with you :)

After rewatching Back to Field, i just found out that cfy decided to play My Best Summer when he was 16 years old, it was 1st time cfy met helandou, and 2 years later they shot the movie.

Drama With You Liu HaoRan was aired 2016, so maybe back then after the success of the drama, they decided to make the movie version. Hmmm i wonder why cfy took the role instead of lhr, they had to wait for 2 years to shoot it. But it is all worth it yeah? Cfy was ready in 2018, and made a huge success!

Ahhh... so Arthur had met He Landou before? Did they say that they already offered the movie to him when he was 16? I'm curious whether it was before or after he was accepted for Ever Night.

I think it's rare to have same actors play in dramas and their movie versions. (Just based on my observation on the movie adaptations of My Sunshine, Peach Blossom, and Love O2O), so perhaps the movie producer just wanted to try their luck and -- like you said -- capitalizing on the drama's success. Arthur & Landou were unknown at that time.

BTW, here's a couple of Arthur's schoolmates' opinion about him! :D

    Yeah this one!

Yupppp! When I saw this picture, I was reminded about the similar one he took for Ever Night. I think I saw someone posted it on twitter which showed Alex commenting that this is what he has to do it everyday (working until midnight, even dawn). I looked up the original IG & couldn't find it -- maybe Alex deleted it?

Old interview, 170610, 17 years old Arthur 1st time in Dior Event

OMG thank youuuu!!! I love reading it, it's one of his old interviews which we discussed waaay back. I don't know when he decided he wanted to be an actor, but it's obvious that once he did he wasn't going back :D. Every interview back then and now shows his consistency. Behind that awkwardness in public and being childish & playful on set, there's an old soul and methodical way of thinking that we've been familiar with :).

Omg this part is really thrilling! Hopefully arthur can pull this one! Taxian Jun vs Mo Ran

    The chess pieces...

This confirms what I said earlier. This is a role which requires Arthur to display layers and a long range of emotions. His acting IMO has been gradually getting better and better from Ever Night to Legend of Awakening to MPMC. But objectively he still has a lot of room to improve. I trust he'll do his best to give the character justice!

  14. Had to stop in the middle of the finale episode (8), and all I can say that the show is haunting. It's a police procedural, but it's also about people, how they deal with their past, how they're trying to fix their past. I didn't recognize Ruby Lin when she appeared for the first time, and all I can say is: wow, this is very different from her typical roles (which I know of), and I never thought she had that in her :)

  15. Wow, many many thanks, @dejun! It's indeed a huge bonus.

I really like the interview. This is the Arthur whom we came to know and care about. I've missed interviews like this, when he shares deep and thoughtful observation about his roles. I agree with @tothestars about how Lu Ping differs from Ning Que, and how Arthur seems to always give careful and measured consideration in choosing his roles.

    Thanks again!

  16. I just "walked" down this forum's memory lane. I was a bit shocked to realize that I started participating here on page 11, which was early last year -- and here we are now, on page 140! To think that this forum only has 13 followers -- we sure are a chatty bunch with unlimited topics, aren't we? :joy: We even once speculated about which school he would go to after graduating!

Thanks for the warm welcome when I first arrived here, and big love to you all -- thanks for keeping the environment healthy for all of us to talk, gush over, share things, or even rant about this young man. (And some times about other actors too, LOL.) Here's to more happy discussions on Arthur (or drooling, since he's technically legal haha) and his upcoming projects! *cheers*
