    Ahhh, haven't read about it! Agree, let's take it with tons of salt, unless he or his team confirms it. Casting rumors can mean: a) his PR team's work; b) the production house trying to use his name as clickbait.

    Modern Cdramas are great this year! Have you tried one of those suspense/thriller/mysteries of the iQiyi light series? They're only 12 episodes per drama. My personal recommendation: The Bad Kids and the Long Night. There's also another dark series that I really love, not part of the Light series but only 16 eps called A Murder in the Horizon Tower. Also, please check out Crossfire starring Lu Han and Wu Lei, about two gaming teams from different timeline (1998 and 2018), there's time travel element.

     

    And while we're at it, not Cdrama but Taiwanese dramas: Someday Or One Day (highly recommended!) and The Victim's Game (the latter is available on Netflix).

    Wow, different cities? It can be quite tiring. May he stay healthy! Isn't Wu Lei filming Chang Gexing at the moment too? (I only remember they have the booting ceremony for the drama).

    You know what, I just googled "male 90s hairstyle" -- and I think Arthur's hair in My Best Summer as the adult Yu Huai  is representative of that era :D

    OMG, I can barely keep my excitement! I'm thrilled Arthur will be taking a modern drama. His movies are all modern, but drama is a whole different spectrum. The topic is interesting too, quite different. China has been improving a lot with their modern dramas -- I watch more of them this year than historical dramas.

    Great to have With You director on this! I remember you really liked the drama back then @tothestars, and of course it got very high douban rating. Let's hope they will have a good reputable writer, and it's like 50% of the project is almost guaranteed LOL.

     

    I think that's probably why Arthur grows out his hair -- most likely for the 90s hairstyle. I actually don't love it, but normally Arthur looks great in any kind of haircut.

    Sadly on today Tencent Industrial Conference Pers, there is no Immortality and this upcoming drama. 

     

    I don't know why it and Immortality aren't included. But perhaps they already secured financing company and other sponsors, especially for Immortality. Usually the purpose of this kind of events is to get sponsors for dramas/movies. As for the new drama (Our Era?), are we sure this is Tencent? Cdrama rumors mentioned Sugarmedia --  it's probably the production house. Remember earlier rumors say this is a project of Beijing Film Academy?

     

    Oh well, anyway... what alarmed me the most is actually the rumored starting date -- tomorrow! While I'm happy for another show with Arthur, I hope it's not true, as Arthur just came off filming a gruelling project. A month from now is sufficient enough!

    Galore of incredible looking Arthur! The black combo with some metal decorations makes him look fiercer, which is a plus because somehow his face is a little softer this time. (Maybe the hair style?)

     

    And look at the crowd out there! They even packed the bridge only to watch him. And their shouts! LOL :D :D:D 

     

    My favorite one is actually when he folded his sleeves up to his elbow. I think he always looks great in folded-sleeved shirts.

    Yes, I do too! @tothestars Also maybe because it's a splash of colour in an otherwise monotone batch (only black and white). He was also laughing in that picture, and that is heartwarming. :) 

     

    While I LOVE looking at these pictures, at the same time I couldn't help feeling a bit of regret that due to his commitment to Tissot, he had to miss the BFA anniversary event. I mean -- there could've been an opportunity of seeing Arthur in tux! But anyway, the styling for the Tissot event is pretty good. A happy fan here! :)

    I first read about it on a gossip forum, brushed it off until later someone posted similar info in a cdrama discord with a little more details.

    Re: Joy of Life 2. I think they haven't even started shooting? I'm guessing the earliest timeline for its broadcast is 2022. But who knows if they can pull some strings and expedite the process!

    Ladies, you might have read about it too -- there's a rumor in multiple sources that Arthur will be filming another movie shortly. The other cast is Wu Lei, Chen Daoming, Wu Gang (Yaayyy!! The Joy of Life gang!), and Hai Qing. The movie is said to be based on a book titled 我们的时代, and it's basically about the journey of young enterpreneurs in the information technology. It's supposedly a project of Beijing Film Academy, and shooting should start sometime this month. 

     

    Like all rumors, let's take it with a ton of salt :D -- until any official announcement is made.

     I wonder how much truth is there in those stories -- they sound soap opera-ish :D. I didn't watch Ashes of Love, but I saw the BTS and they seem to have a lot of fun . Deng Lun and Yang Zi have been friends for years prior to Ashes, so I kinda doubt that "falling in love on the film set" thing. If anything, her closest guy friend has always been Zhang Yishan.

    That's cool! Didn't know the company also made posters of Joy of Life & Longest Day in Chang An. Yeah, big investment from Tencent, I hope the show will deliver!

     

    I made a second look on Arthur's posters, and I'm pleased to see different expressions for different characters -- especially Taxian Jun, compared to the other two. For styling my preference is Mo Ran (the one in blue, right?). I'm confident he'll do great in portraying Taxian Jun -- intense characters are his forte, and he's effortlessly cool already. I'm curious about the other two. IIRC Mo Ran is the disciple one -- how about Mo Weiyu?

    Honestly I thought the posters look... too generic? They look like a dozen other xianxia posters. But based on what I read on social media, the posters show a lot of elements from the novel, so they're quite creative and definitely make the fans happy, and that's the most important thing at the moment. They'll probably release new posters closer to the airing date (Spring 2021?) to entice general public and show other important cast (Chen Yao, Zhou Qi, etc.)

    I read the synopsis on A Virtual Voyage, and it does look really good!

     

    I'm proud of him too!!  I know Arthur will do his role justice -- and yeah, Mo Ran is the main character, together with Chu Wanning. I think they're going to go the bromance/soulmates route, which is fine with me. But regardless, I'll be watching the drama to see Arthur playing three different characters, and I can't wait for that! (Who knows I'll like the story later :))
