I believe hat JBC played KPJ, like some you said he does like the mistress but she isn’t chaebal material. I think JBC wanted it all, a loving wife, a child and a mistress. He wanted the life his Fake father had. We all saw how heartbroken he was to finding out the truth. Remember everyone they smiled to each other like they have a secret among themselves. Remember how the last time they met that scene was cut short. I believe we will have a flashback of that particular scene. JBC know his mistress will leave him if she knew the truth but he told NMH to test her and she past in flying colors. She knew about the flight and the exact moment to meet in the back room.
I agree with some of you that JBC’s son isn’t his son. I think the woman is really pathetic to stay with a man who is married. If JBC was th father of tha child then he would have gotten the mistress pregnant again or his wife would have gotten pregnant. The mistress is truly disgusting especially since she kept feeling a bad when NMH was so nice to her. The Mistress seems very calculated and manipulative. The reason why think JBC is infertile because of Kdrama logic. In these Kdrama the children are the one who pay for their parents sins. So infertility is perfect karma for JMR’s son to get.
I have a theory about KPJ’s parents. I think JMR tricked his father into marriage why because I see the locket he had as child is a pair?? I think KPJ’s father was seeing his mom already then She herself got pregnant. The husband being stuck getting married to that woman under false pretenses made him go back to his ex. JMR told PJ he couldn’t forget his PJ’s mother. He continued to see them and they had a mother child. I dislike woman who are mistresses because it is always the kids who get hurt.
I feel that NMH needs to grow up and I am shocked that she did not quite get the drift finding a champagne and glass smudge with lipstick.

Anyways, so first she was tested by KPJ with revealing the identity switch. Then by JBC for not being a real jang. I keep wondering who else can reveal the truth to her besides JBC and KPJ. Definetly not JML since she seems like a major compulsive liar. And the mistress on knows so much as her own secret but nothing else like KPJs revenge plan. The only one who I think may spill the beans in order to get NMH on his side is JYCs dad. He seems to know about her dad and KPJ working together so it doesn’t seem too far fetched. And she knows how much BC has rivalry with YC and if she knows later on about KPJs agenda and wants revenge on him too, then she could help YCs side. That’s a twist I am considering.
Right now I don’t think JBC and his mistress are keeping in contact just for the kid. I think that may have been the excuse for them staying close five years ago but now fer sure it’s full on infidelity, affair mode. Their mood was certainly the same as it was before NMh was in the picture and they would meet inside the boat to hook up. Part of me feels like the recep was with a poor guy, got preg and now is holding JBC accountable while also maybe holding real feelings for him cause of being a chaebol and stuff. I do think NMH needs to wake up and open her eyes.
I do wonder why JML was ale to marry KPJs father if he already had KPJs mom since KPJ is older than JBC.

Yeah but I think after NM and JBC got married, he may have kept in touch with recep solely to know about kid. I don’t think he actually started hooking up with the recep again until something happened in his marriage that made him run to his little baby mama. Or it’s possible that he’s just been hav8ng an affair the whole time ever since they got married. I just had the impression that JBC was concerned about the recep pregnancy but he wasn’t actually still interested in the recep or having any ideas to hook up with her again.

Right now it looks like he puts NMH in the same position JMR once was in. Ive been wondering about this. One scenario I have in mind is that NMH had a miscarriage and this may have been what ignited the affair between JBC and the recep. After that, NMH hasn’t been able to get pregnant. Now I’m also thinking that possibly the baby isn’t even JBCs, now what a lovely twist that would be?! I’m thinking this because why could the recep getregnant so easily with his baby and not NMH? Unless she has fertility issues.

now I have a few scenarios in my head. We know by now like you said that revenge is KPJs priority. I don’t know what he did in those five years but it was definetly to clean up a few messes like JBCs true identity as not a jang and JMRs secretary possibly being his mom’s murderer. As we can see from the past episodes, Just when KPJ thinks he has everything planned out and he knows the scheme like the back of his hand, a hurdle comes his way. First it was finding out NMH was the girl who saved his life. Then JBCs fling turned into a teen mom segment sans the teen part. And then we find out that his puppet- scarecrow JBC isn’t a jang. I don’t think this will be the last of it and we will see many more obstacles his way. Part of me enjoys seeing KPJ struggle to succeed with his revenge because I don’t think he fully deserves it.
Now probably cause I’m a girl and I relate more to female leads, I have a soft spot for NMH. I don’t think she will find out the truth until it’s for KPJs convenience. Unless he pulls another stint like last time where he sent her the file revealing who JBC was to see if she could stop it. I think he may resort to that for his revenge or sympathy for her if JBC continues having an affair on her. KPJ may feel slightly responsible since he’s one who concocted this whole thing.

If NMH didn’t know KPJ was her childhood crush then she will probably figure it when he comes and saves her cause he shouldn’t have known where she was,

GUYS!!! I’m pissed. I can’t believe NMH and JBC are already married, and he’s still in contact with his baby mama. To make matters worse, KPJ hooked up with his step mama!!! Usually I’m all for those taboo pairings but not this time. She’s part of the reason your mom and bro are dead dude!! I don’t care what kinda revenge you have in mind, you’re justifications are useless. Like I’m seriously done with KPJ.whatever reasoning he has behind his actions are essentially just selfish and irrational. If there was one thing he didn’t lie about and he’s aware of is that he is indeed broken and ruined. That’s why this is so damn entertaining to watch. I just feel really bad for NMH, but the again her ignorance is frustrating as well. I guess for me seeing the manipulative and horrible side of humanity in general through this show irks me.
@sava2sava I totally agree that the father of JBC is the secretary and that’s why he had even more motive to kill those three.

Mal-ran is suspicious, clever of her to do a DNA test, can't wait to see what's the result.
I am just puzzled why KPJ wants to put his family tablet in the temple for mal-ran to see, that will raise her suspicion and get himself exposed.
KPJ may have put the tablet on purpose to play kind games with her. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

So we finally found out his plan. He intends to use the marriage as a way to gain BC favor from the public and company so that he can become chairman. Just so that BC can really be the scarecrow and PJ can work behind the scenes as puppet master. PJ intends to reveal who he is to JML. Now it makes more sense why he's using MH even if it doesn't me feel any better about him turning her into another tool involved in his revenge ploy even though she was the one who saved his.
I'm placing my bet on this dude being the one who pushed PJ and his fam off the boat during his father's funeral.

I hope the DNA results are tapered with and PJ thought ahead of time with his attorney, fixer style methods. Was Pj responsible for the leak that revealed he had bought shares under borrow names? I'm just wondering if it was planned by him or not just like JML is started to suspect his identity. Just how much is he in control? Fer sures he seems to have manipulated JML so well that she's in denial about him. Dude, does this cray step mama possibly have not so platonic feelings for him?

Jump to next scene right now. JML.. KPJ. Both these wonderful actors JH LMS have good good chemistry. What the! they're celebrating. Her pouring wine. she kind of caress his face, then he took her hand, and placed them on the champagne glass. Then there's flashback again back to when he was a child. I'm actually not sure what's going on right now with the scenes but it's there's a lot JML and it's end scenes already.

@Prettysup for question #3, I think the writers wanted us to think PJ was letting go of his love for MH by burning all her pics a the the end of the last episode. But knowing kdramas, that won't be the case at all and if anything he may just screw up has revenge plan because f his feelings for MH.
from the plot synpopsis, it seems like Pjs overall goal is to either become the new favorite over yi or take over haraboujis place and be the full on power. I know fer sires that those safes he has aren't for nothing. blackmail? Future intention to imprison each family member with the dirt they have on them? He must be intending to i prison BC for having to always take his place in jail those tw times (when they were young and then at the beginning of ep 1). I'm still wondering if it was JML/BCs mom who killed Pjs mom or someone else? May someone she hired? What an ironic parallel that now BC is following the footsteps of his father by having two women as well. Except the mistress/receptionist (don't know her name) seems more like JML and Pjs mom is more like MH.

I understand where you're coming from. Personally I am frustrated with PJ because it's like dude, okay maybe you nee MH cause of your revenge plan but doesn't saving your life from drowning kinda like omit MH from being included in your conniving vendetta?
I totally wouldn't mind if another, better guy for MH shows up in the drama. Or there is major character development for PJ before he ends up with MH.

They gave us a lot backstory already. I have two importend questions about the past right now - Grandfather or Stepmother - who ordered to kill the Mother and her Sons... and did Stepmother knew before that her Husband loves another woman - was it the deal from the start? As long as he was alive her second Family seemed to be save - and they trusted the person on the Phone...
I will learn the names soon - just started to watch and ended up watching all 4 Episodes in a row.

When BC says he's gone in too deep, does that mean he can't stop being the dog of JML and BC or that he's going to enact a serious revenge that will throttle everything and make him chairman of the company? I'm still confused why he chose MH as Bcs potential partner. Her dad lost the race so I mean I don't know if they wanted a loser cause it's easier to make them their puppet and it's just because she's the possible future presidents daughter. But it's like isn't old fashioned donating to his campaign better than involving an innocent person into a diabolical scheme?

If they do get married, I would prefer a contract marriage (with MH knowing The whole truth now like her dad is in on it and PJ investigated her prior to meeting BC). Otherwise, I hope she finds out right before the wedding, doesn't show up, and surprises all of us by coming up with a stellar plan that will take care of Pjs revenge and JMLs greed and her dads ambition all in one go. She seems like the only one capable of knocking any sense into anyone. At least that's why maybe PJ chose her. I really do ship both of them and hope to see more Mh and PJ scenes. So far it seemed like they took typical drama tropes and totally twisted them around. I didn't expect MH to find out the truth of their identities so soon or the progress of BC and MH to be so fast (was expecting the engagement by at least ep 6). So I am curious to see what writernims have in store for us.

I love that they air the show two eps in a row! I wish more channels did this semi Netflix style of airing. Anyways, I was slightly laughing when JML was all like are you MH's spokesperson?! To PJ. But on a more serious note, wowow. I was not expecting MH to find out the true identities soon, or for the progress to be engagement level now. To thicken the plot further, we've now added a baby daddy twist that may or may not be true. Honestly, I was thankful to the person who tipped off MH about the true identity of PJ and BC (was not expecting it to be PJ, totally thought it was the receptionist mistress!) and I hope same mistress sabotages the engagement with her pregnancy. I do not want BC and MH to get married. This is the first time I'm cheering for the evil female just cause I want MH to be spared from this god awful arranged marriage. I'm so disappointed in her dad. BC is a scoundrel and if there was any intention of ringing MH to the mix to somehow bring about a good influence on JML, thats what I hope too cause I can't stand that future monster-I mean mother in law either. I do pity PJ but he's not innocent either, like kidnapping BC when they were in HS for hostage money although PJ did know his true identity so maybe it was all orchestrated to get back at the mom. Is she the one who murdered Pjs mom and little brother? Or hired an assasin to get rid of them?
My my biggest question in all this throughout binge watching all the episodes so far is why NMH? Why did PJ choose her of all people as a candidate for BC? And to be apart of his revenge plan no less?
I mean some reasons could be I'm that her dad and using him as a political influence or she would have BC fall for her but why involve an innocent girl versus someone who deserves all the lies and manipulation? When he leaves the enevelope at the school, he does it with the expectation that her knowing half the truth (since she doesn't know her dads involved yet) she can put a stop to it cause he's in too deep to stop it himself. Now how exactly can she do that when she is just a middle school teacher wanting a normal life? Is it because she's not greedy or ambitious? You really think she can stop everything even after knowing her dad, the one she respects the most, sold her off and basically betrayed her? I tried to trivialization it by thinking that this was just another's method of an arranged engagement like we see among a lot of rich folk in kdrama. But at least it's consensual in a sense because both parties are aware of what theyre getting into since their parents told them. The father knows himself she's not into the hat. Then why let her get stuck into a web of leis for his careers expense?
I absolutely love this kdrama though. The story and characters are fascinating and I am so engaged in the show unlike a lot others so I look forward to future episodes and hopefully better development.

Loved the ep of woo tak and hong Joo that gave a lil fan service to their shippers. Poor mr choi. Omg I totally thought that prosecutor was with the young ms shin not the mom but it makes sense now after how he was during the transplant for the boy and stuff! I was anticipating more episodes (thought this was 40 eps) so it feels surreal that it's over. But I really enjoyed this show and how it wrapped up. Major feels man.

LMAOOOOO loved the pregnancy segment. This show is so amazing, in some aspects they may use traditional kdrama tropes but they totally turn them around into something else. This show is very fresh and original. Love the girl characters hair flips and the colorblind secret twist. I was expecting the secret to be something bigger and for woo tak to have some connection to childhood ahjussi but I'm actually quite content with how the writers dealt with everything. Like HJ and Jc's first fight. Their communication is goals when at the end after she hugs him she tells him that she just wanted him to find out so no one jumps to any conclusion. Like others here have said, there is a sense of real ness like the emberassng moments of them coming out in their robes saying I didn't shave my legs or snot. Yeah it's silly but it's so authentic too I love it.
OMGGGGG mr choi is ahjussi?!!! And here I thought it was the phone thief.
Who the heck is the real murderer? Lol the only good thing about them is now they're tormenting the lawyer which is great karma after all the craziness hes put others through. oh wow was not expecting it to be a girl. Once again writernims, never fail to disappoint.
Omg hong Joon thoug! Salajesayo!!! Ughhh can next week come any sooner? Can't believe there's only 10 ep left but everything is coming full circle and I wonder what other intense crazy stuff is going to happen since we have a few more ep left.
