and go back to rewatch scenes! Im officially a retarded watcher  

 

Plus, i already have a list of scenes that are really unnecessary and annoying, adding nothing to the plot, and if they wanted they could cut them so to give more time to the ending!

First of all that Medicine King's daughter-the one who has a crush on JC. Totally useless character! She's not competing anyone, she is just hanging there to fill the scene!

pf! What a waste of screen time!

 

Oh! I finally had the chance to focus on Le Bo. What a great character (and an actor).

He acts and reacts like a cartoon, yet so deep feelings behind his drunk-silly-joking-hysterical figure! I love him! Does anyone notice a hilarious and full emotional moment, on ep16, when he s talking with JC in his peach forest, JC says: i know about LX's true identity, Le Bo sits down suddenly and says: "what do you mean i dont get it" trying to hide his agony!

In all his scenes he has that over-humorous cartoon style emotions, while trying to hide his precious secret in front of everyone! I 'd so much like to watch more scenes with him. After all, if it wasnt for him, we wouldn't have our LX alive by now!

 

 

 

I really like the fact that we’re having healthy discussion about this series.  Being able to discuss about what we like and what we don’t like.  

I actually okay with the Medicine King’s daughter, there’re 3 characters that I feel are not adding anything to the plot.  Zhong Hao’s adopted son and Bao Qing, I have no idea what are they trying to do with their scenes together. 

The introduction of QY”s mortal husband, if the chemistry between QY and YF are there, then the mortal husband play a role in it but the chemistry between them are just meh so it just becomes unnecessary.  

I feel there are more chemistry between QY and JC than QY and YF; I really like the 2 conversation they had.  One was JC’s point of view for staying with LX and QY’s point of view why LX needs some time for herself.  They’ve a mutual friendish relationship.

I'm up to episode 35 now, I can't force myself to  watch 36 again with subs because JX is really really testing my patience. imma wait til they sub til 40...

 

speaking of episode 18, do you guys love that little part at the end between QY and LX as much as I do? it was so cute. their relationship is so pure and sisterly, LX hugging QY, QY comforting her and teasing her about her love for JC...and that little part at the end when LX said JC is so nice to her and QY goes "Silly girl" idk, that just melt my heart. QY is seriously such an awesome motherly kind of character and LX is adorable as always.

Did anyone notice the look Jiuchen gave Lingxi at the beginning of Ep5? Right affer they came back frm the hall where Lingxi stood healing Jiuchen's hand?

 

That is the start of thawing the ice for our stoic GoW. Lol..

 

Anyone has any insights as to why he would held her hand and leas her out of the hall? It couksnt be the norm for him as according to Lingxi, all the other females were gawking....

So, lets do it the way i suggested in the first post. 

 

We can discuss 10 episodes a week starting from 1-10 until next Friday.

Next Friday we'll go to 10-20 etc

Like a marathon kind of. Whoever watched more, than the discussed ones each week, he just has to wait until we all come to the point he is up to now.

I think that the main reason he grabbed her hand when leaving the hall, was for her not to fade out. He was already checking her while she was warming his hand, and saw that she was

exhausted, plus he was furious with everyone there, so he just grabbed his "belongings" (including her) lol

and left the hall!

My observations/questions from episode 1:

1. the last thing JC sees before he takes his last breath is a baby. And the first thing he sees is a beautiful woman (the baby all grown up). I'm amazed that he didn't stop her from leaving his presence when she woke him up at Chang Sheng Hai. Wasn't he curious?

 

2. Why did JC lie for LX when TianJun asked him if he saw her at Chang Sheng Hai? Did he do it with the hopes of saving her and then getting her to work for him in FuYinDian to keep her close??

 

3. I love it how LeBuo's explanation as to why the beast was so comfortable with LX was because the beast is a male and has a crush on his beautiful daughter. He is so comical.

That very first moment he was awakened, i think that the last thing he would care about was to know her whereabouts. He was in shock-that's normal- and the only thing matter that moment was to regain himself again and get out of there.

 

For JC 's lie to TianJun hm maybe he didnt want to get anyone in trouble (her in particular) until he finds out himself why she was there, who is she etc

@Kittles I don’t think he remember seeing the baby. Because he keep recalling the battle.

As for lying to Tian Jun, I think he want to investigate first. The way he look when he woke up was confusion. He did say some where that he want to investigate her. With JC I feel like he likes to keep everything to himself until he understands more.

Le Bo is the best dad!

In episode 9 it started so funny with JC, YF, and SM talking about LX. Especially JC express after the explosion. Watching it again with full sub I finally understand why LX went to get that magical cauldron. 

Can someone explain who proposed a trial for JC in episode 9? I could see some of the sub.

This episode shows how JC place his responsibility above all and struggle to keep his moral, but I think at the end when LX give him that knot he realized that she’s the baby he saved long ago. I think that he had demon aura after all that killing, but baby Ling Xi was the one who brought him back to the light. You can see the dark aura disappear from him.

Yeap i've watched it with subs!

 

In ep15 when he locked her in that cold dungeon to freeze, it was his duty so to destroy every demonic aura inside her, no matter who she was. 

But thinking the whole story (there where he's meditating afterwards), he remembers how she always believed in him, when so many people in heaven were accusing him of killing thousands of heavenly soldiers during that war (the possessed soldiers).

He made all the connections, LX as an innocent baby who just happened to be there and receive the demonic aura-even a bit of it-

the fact of her innocence and pure kindness, and his feeling of justice turned around and made him decide not to sacrifice an innocent kind hearted person.

I think he felt responsible for her from the start. Maybe the fact that he couldnt block the whole demonic energy that got into her as a baby due to his injuries and weakness at that time,

was a crucial factor too in his decision to save her.

 

I cant recall the exact moment that he realized she was indeed that baby! Do you remember when that happened? Maybe when he talked to Le Bo? 

 

(yeap, here we still discuss the episodes we watch now) 

@Vals Stor I think in the ice room when she give him back that longevity knot. Because his face bright up, as if he realized something. 

Also after he kill all those possessed soldiers he has demonic auras around him too, and I think it’s Ling Xi who brought him back and dispersed his demonic aura.   

@CatWhiskers I hope your son doing better. Since school started a lot of kids are getting sick.

I think someone mention episode 21 or 22 when Heavenly emperor visited JC after LX was captured, it was then that JC told the emperor his ideas. But I was thinking what if that’s when the emperor told JC about the cauldron, and how his shifu keep saying LX must die. That’s how JC came up with the idea to save LX? Because right after JC talk to the emperor he went to SingMi to ask about the cauldron.

2 more things I just realize that LeBo never realized that Ling Xi is his junior’s daughter. This whole time he was mourning for his junior’s loss but didn’t realized his closest relative is right next to him.

Lastly, are Chang Yan and Qing Yao biological brother and sister? He some time he call her sister instead of senior sister.
