Ahn Jae-wook to make a comeback with new album

Top actor and singer Ahn Jae-wook will make a comeback as a singer after 2 years and 8 months. Entern, Ahn’s management agency announced “Ahn Jae-wook will be returning to the singing stages on November 11th in time with the release of his 5th album, “Sounds Like You.” An official of Entern said, “Breaking away from the heavy and dark colors of his previous music, Ahn will be appearing in a new image. The album is filled with sophisticated and modern melodies that are fresh and delightful.” However, the main theme of Ahn’s new album is ‘Loneliness.’ Entern said “Listeners will be able to feel the sensation of watching a film that matches to the lonely atmosphere of autumn.” Consisting of a total of 15 tracks, the title song of the album is “Doorooroo” written by Jeon Hae-sung. The song is a subtle combination of cheerful and yet sorrowful melodies. After the release of his new album, Ahn Jae-wook will focus on performing in various music shows by major local broadcasters.

The Garden of Heaven (HK Version)

Kim Young Ju (Lee Eun Ju) is an unsuccessful make-up artist. Despite her numerous attempts, Young Ju is unable to find work and is finally forced to become a club girl to help pay the rent. During her first night out, she meets Choi Oh Sung (Ahn Jae Wook). Scared of having Oh Sung groping her, Young Ju continually tells him "I wont' have sex with you" and "don't grab me suddenly." Oh Sung, a successful and kindhearted doctor, finds Young Ju amusing and teases her by coming off as a pervert. As the night ends, Young Ju realizes that he's really down to earth and even runs his clinic free of charge for people who can't afford health care. SYPNOSIS:

Oh Pil Seung (Ahn Jae Wook) became an orphan after his mother died and has led a life of poverty. He left Busan to search for his father in Seoul, but unfortunately found out that he also has died. He did, however, find his grandmother. Rejecting Pil Seung’s mom because of her marriage to Pil Seung’s father, his grandmother has no one left but Pil Seung as family. Wanting to mend things up before her time, she asks Pil Seung to stay with her before her time comes. Pil Seung, who has never known his grandmother, happily agrees as she’s his only family as well. But luck is about to come his way as Pil Seung discovers that he is the only heir to Korea’s wealthiest conglomerate, Choigo Merchandising Company.

Pil Seung finds himself in unfamiliar territory as he’s lavished with thousand-dollar suits and expensive cars. He’s suddenly the CEO of the biggest company in the country with every single one of his board members looking to rid him and take over his chair. Wanting to give up his life of luxury for his regular-Joe ways, Pil Seung feels a duty to grandma to carry on the family business, but it also means that he must learn new ways of doing things. As if his new wealth wasn’t enough trouble, Pil Seung is also the new most eligible bachelor and women are swarming over him. Can he find true love; someone who would love him for him and not his money – and carry on his business?

DRAMA CHARACTERS INFO:

Oh Pil-Seung (28, male) (Ahn Jae-Wook)

He is a lazy bum. He hates taking responsibility and is not suitable for having a regular life style. He is not a hard worker and has no plan for his life. Then one day, when he woke up, he found himself as an heir apparent of a top-notch logistics company. As for English, he can speak hello, thank you, how are you and oops only. The books he read in-depth are the comic book entitled ’fearful baseball team’. The six months of working at a pier for a cargo unloading company is all about his career. He doesn’t use his head except for knocking other’s heads in fights. Surrounded by top-class elites, he is forced to lead them as their boss.

Bong Soon-Young (26, female) (Chae Rim)

She is the manager of a large discount store. She can die for her love. She cannot hide her feelings. Whether she likes or dislikes it or whether she feels embarrassed is all there on her face. Whenever reading boy-meets-girl comic books or watching similar films, she tries to change her into a feeble, classic and pretty female character she saw in books or films, but to no avail. Nevertheless, she waits for her love of destiny and wants to fall in love with a prince on a white horse back. So far she has dated with 19 men but all of them have dumped her. Now she is about to start her 20th one-side love toward Jae-ung. Then a guy stands on the way disturbing her love and he is such a headache. He is Oh Pil-seung, who is least educated, makes little money and has no house.

Yoon Jae-Woong (29, male) (Ryu Jin)

He is a young and competent elite person. He leads a team in the planning office of a top-ranking conglomerate. With IQ 170, he has been called as a genius. He has never yielded the top place in school to others from primary school to university. He doesn’t know what is a failure and the bitter taste of life. The life has been always smooth to him. There are lots of women who admire him. Yet to him woman is a temporary partner he can dump anytime when she is no more needed. From the date he was born till now, he has pursued No. 1 in his life. Then one day he falls in love with a woman who is too ordinary and makes mistakes all the time. The man (Jae-Woong), who has dumped women all his life, and the woman (Soon-Young), who has been always deserted by men, will make a romance.

Noh Yu-Jeong (29, female) (Park Sun-Young)

She is a chief secretary supporting Pil-seung. She is so perfect that men feel inferior to her. Her work is seamlessly perfect and she is strict in managing herself. She gives no room for guys to approach. The fact of the matter is that she is so humane and has many flaws. She is afraid of getting hurt and always worried about being useless. To hide her concerns, she makes redoubled efforts to look strong. She is a university alumnus of the successor of Chairman Shin and has engaged with him. Over night, however, she lost her fiancé. Then she got an order to transform ignorant Pil-seung into a person suitable to become a head of a large company.

An Jae-wook to Return to TV after One-and-a-Half Year Absence

Actor and singer An Jae-wook will appear in a TV drama after a one-and-a-half year absence. He will play the role of a successful businessman who was adopted by an American family as a child in the drama to be aired on KBS TV2 in May following “Spring Waltz.” This is the first drama he will appear in since his role in “Oh Pil-seung & Bong Sun-young” in Nov. 2004.

His character Hyeonseo is an executive at a large hotel chain who is posted to Korea, where he falls in love with a woman and meets his biological mother. The heroine has not yet been cast.

Hwang Ui-kyung, the producer of the drama, said, “I will make it light and interesting so that everybody can enjoy it. There will be romance not only between young couples but also middle-aged couples.”

As a singer, An released his fifth album last November and is planning a concert in Japan in March.

Actor/Singer Ahn Jae-wook Set to Captivate Japan

Korean actor and singer Ahn Jae-wook may now captivate Japan after he

consolidated his status as the pioneer of the Korea Wave, or Korean pop-culture

craze, in China. Ahn is now in Japan to give his first concert there at the NHK

Shibuya Center in Tokyo on Friday.

His popularity in Japan was already apparent as soon as he arrived at Narita

Airport, where some 1,000 Japanese fans greeted him with cries of joy. Most of

the fans had sunflowers in their hands because they had previously discussed

giving the Korean singer the flower that matches his image. Ahn waved at his fans

with a big smile.

Ahn's first album in Japan, 'Sounds Like You' released by Pony Canyon is receiving

a good response, and his first concert will serve as an opportunity to demonstrate

his appeal directly to fans there.

The Japanese press and music industry have also shown keen interest in Ahn, who

is expected to gain as resounding popularity in Japan as in China. As a positive

sign, tickets for his concert were sold out only 15 minutes after going on sale, and

some were traded at more than W400,000 (40,000 yen) on an internet auction

site.

Ahn will return to Korea on Saturday after the concert Friday.

However she is really a workaholic assassin. He walks in just as she has completed two kills but, undeterred, professes his love for her, much to her indifference. He follows her through her next kill and finds an amnesia-inducing drug which he slips it into Nana's drink, blanking out her memory and then afterwards telling her that she is his girlfriend. But without memory, she is not the same person anymore…

3/21/06 – Ahn Jae Wook, Lee Bo Young, and Oh Yoon Ah will costar in the Monday-Tuesday romance-comedy drama “Wild Beast and Witch”, aka “Mr. Goodbye”, scheduled to be aired by KBS2 on 5/15 following the final episode of “Spring Walltz”. Their roles form triangle love relationship.

AJW plays the role Yoon Hyun Su who is an adoptee and grows up in USA. Then Hyun Su is appointed as a top manager of a hotel chain and is assigned a job in Korea. Lee Bo Young plays the role Choi Young In who is cute, bright, and innocent and works in hotel as a concierge. Oh Yoon Ah plays the role Kang Soo Jin. Soo Jin is Hyun Su’s ex-wife and raises her son by herself. The start of the filming in Korea is scheduled around the end of March. As to the filming portion in USA, AJW will shoot the drama at Las Vegas around 4/8 and 4/9.

3/1/06 – Ahn Jae Wook and Park Sun Young, who collaborated in KBS2 drama “Oh Bil Seung Bong Soon Young (aka “Oh! Feel Young”), will each lead a drama scheduled to be aired in May. Both dramas will be broadcasted on Monday-Tuesday time slot competing with each other. PSY will lead the SBS drama “She’s Too Perfect” while Ahn Jae Wook will lead the KBS2 drama “Mr. Goodbye”.

Originally, SBS planned to broadcast “She’s Too Perfect” during weekends. Then SBS decides to switch the broadcasting dates between the Monday-Tuesday 100-episode historical drama “Yungaesomoon ” and “She’s Too Perfect”. It also shortens “She’s Too Perfect” from 20 episodes to 16 episodes and will start broadcast the drama on 5/29. AJW’s drama “Mr. Goodbye” will be aired on 5/15.
