Finally unveiling what the top 0.1 percent visual looks like, Lee Min Ho filmed for the upcoming SBS drama, The Heirs.

The Heirs is a drama set for a October 9 broadcast, starring Lee Min Ho, Park Shin Hye, Kim Woo Bin, f(x)’s Krystal, CN Blue’s Kang Min Hyuk, Kim Ji Won, Choi Jin Hyuk, Im Joo Eun, ZE:A’s Park Hyung Sik, and more talented actors, drawing attention even before production began.

Lee Min Ho plays the character Kim Tan, the heir to Empire Group, who has everything in the financial world but born with pain he shouldn’t have to endure. He will be leading the 0.1 percent love line with Park Shin Hye, Kim Woo Bin, Krystal, and Kang Min Hyuk.

Lee Min Ho’s first filming took place outdoors on August 22 in Paju. As a member of high society, Lee Min Ho exuded charisma, sitting in a luxurious car.

As soon as Lee Min Ho came on set, his attention was on the script, preparing for the shoot and earning the respect from the staff members.

He also brightly greeted each staff despite it being their first meeting and started off the shoot by yelling, “The Heirs, fighting!”

More than anything, Lee Min Ho’s above par looks and carefully thought-out acting created the perfect expression of his character, showing Lee Min Ho has closely studied Kim Tan as he became Kim Tan on the set.

Even during the break time, Lee Min Ho did not let go of his script as he discussed with the director more about his character and the scene.

With Lee Min Ho’s passion for the drama, the first shoot continued with a good atmosphere.

“With his great looks, unique acting, and natural charisma, Lee Min Ho showed what an actor setting the trends in Korea was all about. Our anticipation for his acting has risen,” said production company, Hwa and Dam Pictures. “Please look forward to The Heirs, which is rolling out smoothly with lots of passion and fighting spirit.”

Meanwhile, The Heirs was created by Kim Eun Sook, writer of Secret Garden and A Gentleman’s Dignity, and Kang Shin Hyo, director of Tazza and Midas.

The Heirs is romantic comedy about high school students living in high society. Things get turned topsy turvy when the students meets a girl from lower class and romance unfolds. The drama is expected to become a hit drama in 2013.

itemprop="name"5 great dramas that started as manga

f4_jap_anime_38.jpg

It not so surprisingly turns out that many fans of Korean dramas are also fans of manga/manhwa! I know for a fact that I am. Here's a list of manga that got turned into live dramas! Be sure to check out the books if you've already seen the show. It's pretty interesting looking for differences!

1) Boys Over Flowers

Yep, that's right. The most well known Korean drama ever was based off of a manga called Hana Yori Dango. The series is pretty retro now, but it's definitely worth a read if you're a Boys Over Flowers fan. There's even an anime version! If you've been looking for a way to fill that emptiness after finishing the drama, this is it!

(skipped unrelated.....)

If you've never read manga before, it's surprisingly fun so definitely give it a chance. Or if you've just been missing your favorite series, don't forget to go back and read the original! Are there any series that you guys like in particular?

class="cb b15"The Stars Of "The Heirs" Praised For Their Talent And Charm

Filming for this season's moist anticipated drama is well underway. Already stills for the SBS drama "The Heirs" show that the lead actors Park Shin Hye and Lee Min Ho are working hard to bring their characters to life.

The first scenes that Park Shin Hye shot were filmed on Aug. 16 in a Gangnam-area wedding hall. Stills for those scenes showed her wearing an apron and pink rubber gloves to wash a large basin of dishes. Park plays Cha Eun Sung, a poor girl who has to work at menial jobs to make ends meet.

Park had no problem getting into character and earned praise from production company staff members who described her not only as an exceptional actress but a person who radiates positive energy on set.

"It's no wonder that she is praised for her acting," said a member of the production company. "She is certainly living up to her reputation as one of Korea's best actresses."

Meanwhile, her drama love interest played by Lee Min Ho is busy acting out his role as a rich young heir who has probably never had to wash any dishes. His stills show him carefree and well dressed, driving in an expensive car.

Lee Min Ho was also complimented for his congenial way of dealing with everyone on set. He and Park both like to make jokes and love to laugh.

The production company was also full of praise for his ability and on-set personality.

In "The Heirs," he plays Kim Tan, the heir of "Empire Group." To those who don't know him, he may seem to lead an enviable life but the character has problems that no one can see.

"His acting is exceptional and he has plenty of natural charisma," said a member of the production staff.

The filming takes place in California for three weeks this month with Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye already shooting scenes in Los Angeles and on Malibu beaches.

The drama will debut on Oct. 9. Along with Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye, the cast also includes Kim Woo Bin, f(x)'s Krystal, Kang Min Hyuk, Kim Ji Won, Choi Jin Hyuk, Im Joo Eun, Kang Ha Neul and Park Hyung Sik. The drama will focus on the love life of the heirs who attend an exclusive school and their friendship with Park Shin Hye's character.

Kim Eun Sook, who wrote "Secret Garden" and "Gentleman's Dignity," is the screenwriter. Kang Hyo Shin, who directed "Tazza" and "Midas" will direct.
