keke.. I'm bored right now.. so I thought I would just give a heads up to people who haven't watched or deciding to watch this anime. (: One of my favorite anime and it's still ongoing! WOW since 1994 or 97 too.. I think? Last movie was quite good too (: but ehh.. I'm only on ep151! <.<

Synopsis;

Kudou Shinichi is an extremely popular 11th-grader who dreams of being the world's next Sherlock Holmes. The son of a famous mystery novelist and lovely actress, Shinichi has made a name for himself as a brilliant detective, always helping the police solve baffling mysteries much like his idol Holmes.

This obsession with crime-solving tends to grate on his pseudo-girlfriend Mouri Ran's nerves, though. She can't help but feel a bit threatened by Shinichi's dangerous lifestyle...and by the popularity it brings. So she jumps at the chance to get Shinichi alone on a "date" to an amusement park where, much to her dismay, a murder occurs that Shinichi *naturally* solves.

However, when Ran and Shinichi split up for just a short time, Shinichi witnesses a suspicious negotiation between two mysterious men in black. He is caught eavesdropping, and is poisoned by the two men and left to die. However, rather than killing Shinichi, the poison reverts him back into an elementary-school boy!

Bent on finding the mysterious men in black again, and discover a cure to the poison, Shinichi takes on the name Edogawa Conan and lives a double life as "Shinichi's cousin," in order to keep his survival a secret from those that poisoned him. He is taken under the care of Ran and her father, Kougoro, a burnt-out, divorced detective who is past his prime. On the road to finding those mysterious men in black, Conan and his friends solve case after case, all while keeping his true identity a secret.

i've been reading the manga since i was about 6 ? i cant remember :x but im still reading it now [ im currently 14 years old .. thats 8 years with DC ]

i always get freaked out by the victims' faces =_= & i cant read it at night otherwise i end up with nightmares T^T

There is no actual episode where Ran knows that Conan is Shinichi.

However, throughout the series she suspects it.

He does try to tell her once he sees how much pain she's in not knowing where he is.

But when that happens something always interrupts him.

And when Ran is absolutely sure it's him, another 'Shinichi' usaully appears.

And I totally agree with you. I've watched some episodes when Ran suspects Conan...

but there's always an interruption. I guess that's why the anime is still running.

Yeah sure no prob.

Shinichi wouldn't reveal it because he doesn't want to put her in danger.

So I don't think he would do that unless it was absolutely necessary. I mean the professor

and everyone tells him this to begin with.

this anime/movie/manga is my all time favorite...but because i havnt read/watch it for a long time...sue to my study and drama addict...lol...anyway i just recently continued watching it again and i got hook again haha...right now i would like to know where i can watch all conan episodes or download it...oh and i hav watch all the conan's movie too...it was awesome...well, but i dont like episode 6 and 7 tho...but then after that it is really good...that made me watch for only 1-2 days hehe...

Yea true enough, Ran still dont knows Conan is Shinichi. If she knows, the story will end already. That why is still not yet known, until the writer haas not story to write... then come out this...

Well yeah, Hagase told Shinichi from the start.

BUT ARGGH :/ Hate it when they always get interrupted.

LOL. It just makes the audience, well me, get so excited.

But one good thing is that at leats Conan has Haibara on his side...

Haha I've seen all the episodes that has been subbed (English)

It's pretty random though. Because this series is mostly episodic (each episode can be watched without understanding the entire story) many of the subbing groups sub random episodes that they prefer.

If you really want to know. I've seen 1-198 and the movies and bits and pieces of the 200s, 300s, 400s, and 3 of the 6 OVAs.

I don't think having Haibara would make much of a difference since most of her advice to Conan is to run away or to hide from the organization. The best she could probably do is try to find a cure for their current states.

I guess I'm a coward for saying this, but Detective Conan really scares me. T.T I like the plot and characters, but whenever I watch it I replay episodes in my head and it gives me the creeps.

I so agree with you. You can understand any episodes w/o watching previous eps or whatever. Except if you watch the ones that has two or three parts
