I initially thought the same - like, they changed the usernames on purpose for easy viewing/understanding for their audience. But the whole conversation is fake. The show made it up. >.>;; (This is the same station that edited that positive dating video but used JG's quote about Milla at the beginning.)

I am in Korea right now, just left Seoul for Busan. The lady in charge of the placed I stayed at didn't think LJG was good looking at all but she said my son was very handsome so I think in Korea his looks does not have the same impact as it does for his international fans. I think it is his expressive face and eyes that makes him beautiful.

@violina In the US CM, Shemar Moore the actor who played Derek Morgan was the most nominated for Best Acting Performance. Derek Morgan was the character who went to Law School then worked as a Police Investigator & was a bomb specialist before joining the Behavioural Analysis Unit (BAU) of the FBI. I think based on the last info, LJG will be playing a version of this character. 

 

I think CM would be up against the second half or from ep 11 of Woman of Dignity in JBTC and I think in other channels would be variety shows, sports, news as you mentioned. 

 

Just FYI on CM-US, they have different writers and directors every episode. In fact in the recents seasons, some of the casts were either directors or writers of some episodes. E.g Matthew Gubler who played Reid directed Season 5 ep 16, Thomas Gibson (Hotch-Unit Chief) directed Season 8 ep 14, Joe Mategna (Rossi-Head Profiler) directed Season 9 ep 13, Kirsten Vangsness (Penelope) has written Season 10 ep 13. These are just some episodes that they've worked on.

I got home from a lonnnnnngggg day of work and saw that the issue-that-I-really-wanna-stop-talking-about has new developments. And KR fans are invading JG's IG right now, and blogosphere is back to being gossipy and mean and panicky and sad.

There's no real news flash in terms of public opinion: HB will never win the Woman of the Year award in JG fans' eyes. But if any of you JG Angels here are feeling all negative towards HB, and if you are ready to see the other side to the issue, please look inside the spoiler tag.

WARNING: I work in a crisis management team in an investment firm. Meaning, what I'm about to share is the uglier side of the PR world. It's gonna leave really bad taste in your mouth. So don't read if you wanna keep on having faith in humanity and the entertainment world. Remember, publicity game is ugly, but stars/agencies have to play it to survive.

DISCLAIMER: This is pure speculation and analysis, based on my experience in the field. I have NO inside info. Feel free to disagree, but please don't bash, yeah?

One more thing to clarify: This post is not meant to discredit JG's apology, which I truly believe comes from his heart.

People have misconceptions about publicity management (what you call PR spin); it's not about lying to the public... it's about showing the public the truth in the most acceptable/logical fashion. People are complex creatures and our lives are chaotic... When you talk about your life, you have to make it into a story, isn't it? --- Keep some parts out, re-arrange other parts, highlight certain parts, make light of some parts --- so that you can make sure people can understand what you are trying to say.

It's the same thing here. If we think our life is complex, JG's life is worse as a public figure. He has to create a narrative based on his true self so that we can "know" him in the most efficient and palatable way. So what the crisis team has to decide is based on JG's and HB's personalities, when to make which move so that they can be true to themselves and at the same time, salvage their public image.

Let me reiterate one of the points in the spoiler tag, so that the ones who didn't read it can see it. The uglier parts of the saga is almost over now. We're moving on to the recovery phase. If all goes steady, JG should be back online soon. (EDIT: "soon" as in end of May. I think May is going to be HB-centric.) If their strategy is close to what I have in mind, he'll be back just before CM promo.

@hiluna Double-eyelid & western looks are attractive to most Koreans. I've been to Korea more than twice and that's what I noticed. I also watch Korean variety shows & surprisingly they make fun of single eyelid.

LJG became popular in Korea because of his acting ability & being the pioneer of this thing they called Pretty Man. 

Btw, Pretty Men or Ipo Namja or Kkotminam Korean artists are all or most of them are  popular in Japan which is good as they can thrive further despite the China ban. That's one of the good things about having this kind of image.   

 

@zi4r Tks for the insightful post about PR. I trust JG marketing team that they know what their doing.Before joining Namoo, LJG has been in a one-man agency for many years. So I am sure he knows what he's doing and has developed the business acumen in him in all those times when his own company was solely managing his career. Based on what I read, he did AATM & Two Weeks under his own company. I think he also did a reality show in Japan. It's JG World for two seasons if I am not mistaken. He also continued to have fan meetings in SK, Japan & China in all those times. With his FM I think he partnered with an agency in each country to do the bookings & other stuff. So basically he knows what's his doing & just like you said, I agree that we just have to trust him. I also think the most current ruckus will also pass before CM.

EXCUSE me.. PLEASE don't make International fans soompi members or those lurking here blinded by such analysis... Korean fans and some few intl fans close to them know many insights of JHB than the most other intl fans. They are having headaches and hurting for him. Can't we give our hands to help them in waking JG up..?

How can it be thought he was considered as a figure to look better in this issue? Due to the timing, he suffered all these backlashes from general public while she is only irritated by his fans.. also the reason is not jealousy or shipping. Fans believe she is a manipulative liar woman controlling JG and his sister, based on her consistent attacking hints towards them since 2015. 

And what sure is, he doesn't have intention for marriage yet. He loves his career and maintains his image so much, wants to establish his existance in acting industry deeper which he used to answer in interviews lately. How would he take risk to himself just to publicize his relationship at this high time??

The conclusion is she has been preparing these collections for a long time with her colleagues.

See how she didn't like to wear mask on their dates, the parking garage always being hers, and that restaurant owned by her brother in which she invited JG for friends gathering there before its opening ceremony.. JG trusted her to attend there as the restaurant was still not known, but it's how she backstabbed him. Then her companions helped her in anonymously sending the paparazzi photos-alike collection to Dispatch ON TIME after being invited as guest to Happy Together. She thought this is a perfect timing for her to make a topic more widely as a guest, without considering and caring of JG's career or image. All she cares is, she badly wants to become the wife of a famous actor and ignite her popularity. This shows she doesn't care or love him.. so.. he also doesn't deserve this greedy creature..

That's why fans knowing her cringe-worthy deeds are trying to pull him from the mud.. I'm not here to bash any opinion, just to alert you not to close your eyes ANYMORE, to join the army in fighting for JG's bright future and happiness.

3. No Name yet - a fan who love him as an artist. I am sure of myself I am in this category  Feel free to refute my claim anyway. I won't mind.

5. The Undecided - who loves him but hesitant because she also loves other actors

6. The Newcomer - someone who knows little about him and doesn't know yet why she loves LJG. She probably have only watched a video of him dancing TT.

7. Feel free to add (Maybe the delulu or loony)  

 

I believe LJG is aware of the many types of fans. Didn't he say to the fans 'don't fight' in one of the fan meets.

Not knowing a person personally doesn't mean you have no idea on that person. I've been following him and his related people. I was always disappointed by her nasty moves to hurt fans since the rumoured times. Now after this mess, I've known many Hajunse also feel the same way. So I'm suggesting you to reconsider with your thinkings. Note that I'm not asking you have to..

Do we really need to meddle his personal affairs? LJG is mature enough to deal JHB. Don't worry too much. This is the first time that JHB has publicly spoke about the relationship, I believe it would also be the last. 

 

So just relax. Better love LJG as an actor or artist. Don't dwell too much on his personal life and even his business affairs. For his business, he has his own company and Namoo who'd take care of it. Why take the complex route by worrying unnecessarily things beyond your control?

You know what? I dont give a hoot about his personal life. He can date, marry and have babies with whoever he wants. He is human like you and me. They are in the entertainment industry. So many layers behind the curtain that we, including you and me doesn't know. So, yeah. I think calling her manipulative JG and his sister is too much. They are not children that HB can manipulate easilly. JG is a very smart young man. I believe he know what kind of girl he wants to be his girlfriend.

I can balance my life and in supporting JG. I love him both as an actor and a person so I don't want him suffering these ups and downs. This time JHB made him suffer big once again. Former times were by his people but this time he received a public critisms bcuz of her greediness. As you only love him as an artist, you wouldn't know the feelings of such fans as me. So don't bother reading my posts.
