Based on a popular web novel and penned by “True Beauty” writer Lee Si Eun, “Lovely Runner” is a time-slip romance drama that asks the question: “What would you do if you had the opportunity to save your ultimate bias?” Kim Hye Yoon stars as Im Sol, a passionate fan devastated by the death of her favorite star Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok), who goes back in time to save him.

The newly released stills capture Ryu Sun Jae and Im Sol enjoying a date by the seaside. In one still, the two spend affectionate time together while washing the dishes. When Im Sol’s hand gets cold due to the cold water, Ryu Sun Jae warms it up with his breath. Ryu Sun Jae also pinches Im Sol’s cheeks, spending sweet time together.

 

 

Furthermore, Ryu Sun Jae and Im Sol unintentionally spend the night together. Another still captures Ryu Sun Jae supporting Im Sol’s head with his hand, and another photo captures them in what appears to be a scene right before a kiss.

Parts of Ep 12 had me laughing like a hyena, it's just too funny. Kudos to the writer. Time for some noble idiocacy from uri Sol, but it's just who she is, poor Sun Jae. I hate the evil guy but i m really excited to know what "final" future lies ahead for our lovebirds! 
 

Will be re-watching the hilarious and lovey dovey scenes to tide me till next week!

In an interview for GQ Korea's June Issue, Kim Hye Yoon discussed her role as Im Sol. When questioned about a moment where she truly felt like Sol, Kim Hye Yoon found it hard to single one out. Instead, she shared her favorite line from the character that immediately came to mind.

She revealed that it wasn't her line but Sun Jae's (Byeon Woo Seok). In a scene from episode one, Im Sol receives a call from Sun Jae, now an idol with ECLIPSE. Tearfully, she vents out to him about her struggle to find joy in life due to the perfect weather and her inability to walk. But Sun Jae comforts her by responding, "Let's live today because the weather is great today." This line resonated deeply with Kim Hye Yoon. She shared that when she felt disheartened, that single sentence served as a powerful source of encouragement for her.

 

She expressed that while it's difficult for her to fully grasp how deeply touching that moment was for Sol, the line served as a significant source of encouragement for her as well during times when she was down. So, when Sol walked towards Sun Jae on that snowy day, it felt like her breath had stopped. The person she had been dreaming of was right in front of her. Sol's 'bias' was walking towards her. That moment struck a chord with her deeply.

She revealed that her second favorite line is “Sun Jaeyaa,” which she says to call out to Sun Jae in the show and has become an iconic trademark. Even when Byeon Woo Seok goes out to other events, fans call him Sun Jaeyaa instead of his own name.

Amidst the ongoing success of tvN's Lovely Runner, the fictional band ECLIPSE is reaching unprecedented heights in their career with their music. Consisting of Ryu Sun Jae (portrayed by Byeon Woo Seok), Bae In Hyuk (played by N.Flying's Lee Seung Hyub), Hyun Soo (depicted by Moon Xion), and Jay (brought to life by Yang Hyuk), they've already released four tracks: Sudden Shower, Run Run, You & I, and We Will Meet.

Fans of both K-pop and K-drama can keep an eye out because they're revolutionizing music history.

 

ECLIPSE continues to dominate charts across the board. On the MelOn chart, the track Sudden Shower from Lovely Runner soared to number eight on the Top 100 chart. Additionally, another of their songs, Run Run, made its mark at number 76.

Sudden Shower, performed by Ryu Sun Jae (played by Byeon Woo Seok) and penned by him, captures the essence of his first love, Im Sol (portrayed by Kim Hye Yoon), whom he encountered in the rain. Originally featured in a show, this OST reflects his journey from hating the rain to embracing it with love because of Im Sol.

 

Even Byeon Woo Seok's agency was taken aback by the news, going so far as to post it on its official Instagram stories. Netizens were equally surprised, considering it's uncommon for both an actor and a fictional group to break into the top ten on a music chart, surpassing even real K-pop groups.

Recent reports indicate that TVN is in talks to organize an event to express gratitude to fans for their unwavering support of the drama. However, no further details have been disclosed at this time.

On May 17, it was reported that the hit tvN drama “Lovely Runner” will host a group viewing event for its final episode on May 28. According to the report, Byeon Woo Seok, Kim Hye Yoon, Song Geon Hee, and N.Flying’s Lee Seung Hyub are expected to attend the event.

In response to the report, a representative from tvN shared, “It is true that we are organizing a group viewing event for the final episode on May 28.”

They added, “We are currently coordinating the details for the venue, event format, method of participant selection, and more.”

Lovely Runner is gearing up for a special watch party event, with Byeon Woo Seok, Kim Hye Yoon, Song Geon Hee, and Lee Seung Hyub slated to join fans for the screening of the final episode.

 

A watch party for the final episode of Lovely Runner is in the works reportedly. Byeon Woo Seok, Kim Hye Yoon, Lee Seung Hyub, Song Geon Hee, and other cast members have been confirmed to attend the event.

A representative from tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama Lovely Runner informed media outlet Joy News 24 on the 17th that they are currently making final adjustments for the group viewing event scheduled to coincide with the final episode airing on the 28th. Details such as the venue, timing, and other arrangements are currently being finalized.

 

Based on a popular web novel and written by True Beauty writer Lee Si Eun, Lovely Runner is a time-slip rom-com K-drama that poses the interesting question: "What would you do if you had the chance to go back in time and save your ultimate bias?" 

Kim Hye Yoon takes on the lead role as Im Sol, a loyal and dedicated fan shattered by the loss of her favorite star, Ryu Sun Jae, portrayed by Byeon Woo Seok. Im Sol embarks on a journey through time to rescue him and stop his tragic fate from unfolding.

In other news, Kim Si Eun is set to play another leading lady who becomes involved with Kim Soo Hyun’s character in the drama. Knock Off will be directed by Uncontrollably Fond director Park Hyun Seok.

Based on a popular web novel and penned by “True Beauty” writer Lee Si Eun, “Lovely Runner” is a time-slip romance drama that asks the question: “What would you do if you had the opportunity to save your ultimate bias?” Kim Hye Yoon stars as Im Sol, a passionate fan devastated by the death of her favorite star Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok), who goes back in time to save him.

In the newly released behind-the-scenes video, the cast continues to show great teamwork while filming. Between takes, Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon can’t stop bursting into laughter as they playfully tease each other. After shooting the house scene where Sun Jae grabs a stick, puts Sol behind him, and leads the way to investigate a noise, Kim Hye Yoon jokes that Byeon Woo Seok resembles Harry Potter wielding the stick. This prompts Byeon Woo Seok to start playing around with it, adding to the lighthearted atmosphere. The video ends with a cute moment where Byeon Woo Seok, Kim Hye Yoon, Seo Hye Won, and Song Ji Ho are all seated on a couch, their heads resting on each other’s shoulders.

During the beach scene, Byeon Woo Seok, Song Geon Hee, and Lee Seung Hyub appear nervous about entering the sea in the cold weather. As they prepare, Byeon Woo Seok humorously says, “I have no thoughts right now,” and asks Lee Seung Hyub, “Do you have any thoughts?” to which Lee Seung Hyub jokingly replies, “What are ‘thoughts’?”

Byeon Woo Seok’s professionalism also shines in the bed scene with Kim Hye Yoon. Along with the director, he offers numerous suggestions to make their movements look natural on camera. Additionally, his considerate nature is evident when he protects Kim Hye Yoon’s head while helping her up after shooting the scene where he falls on top of her during a strawberry-eating scene.

Previously, Im Sol decided to remain in Dampo alone to protect Ryu Sun Jae from serial killer Kim Young Soo (Heo Hyung Gyu). Toward the end of the broadcast, Im Sol shed tears as she looked at the train that Sun Jae was on, and at the same time, Kim Young Soo was captured getting off the train.

The newly released still images feature Im Sol, who has returned to the age of 34. Im Sol spreads her palm to catch the falling snowflakes with empty eyes. Soon, Im Sol bursts into tears as if she has remembered her first meeting with a 34-year-old Sun Jae.

OMFG I ALMOST GOT A HEART ATTACK. The writer amazes us yet again. This plot is getting interesting in a new direction that i didnt expect and i am in shock now. BUT i m sure we are running towards a HAPPY ENDING NOW, with fun and love along the way... omg omg....

I love this drama, but this new future better be Sun Jae just playing with Im Sol - I'm not interested in a blank slate/no memories Sun Jae learning to love Im Sol all over again for the last 3 episodes.  So how is he playing her? ...

When Sun Jae fell into the water after being stabbed, his watch flashed first. I'm hoping he time traveled further back before he died, and knowing Im Sol would never stop trying to save him, he allowed her to believe they never had their first meeting. 

 

Just as Im Sol retains her memories of all her trips to the past, Sun Jae has all his memories with Im Sol likewise intact.  He was just waiting/running - as he once said - to meet her in the future. 

 

 

I'm really not going to like it if it turns out he doesn't know her.
