1)  A Trailer Of  "A League Of Nobleman"  With English Subs.

 

 

As you can see from the Trailer above,  Song Wei Long and Jing Boran  started off as Opponents.  Each trying to outdo the other, to solve the mystery before the other does.  They were suspicious of each other.  Assistant Minister of Rites, Lan Jue hated Zhang Ping.

 

But subsequent events led them to cooperate and later become "Best Buddies".

 

Note:

Every time I look at the Title, I can't help picking out the  Grammatical Error.  A League means "A Group".  So it has to be "Noblemen" - a plural word.  China should engage a Language Specialist to assist them in Translations, as well as in coming up with impressive English Titles

 

Song Wei Long still has the bad habit of ending his sentence in a "whisper".  But acting-wise, he has made a marked improvement again.  Good job!  

 

 

 

 

2) For Upcoming Dramas of  2021,  DataWin the research company has  compiled the Data.  The results on the Popularity & Public Anticipation are : 

1)  "Immortality" . 

2)  Song Wei Long's  "A League Of Nobleman"

3) Jing Boran's drama with Liu Yi Fei - "Records of Nanyan"

 

But if you study the chart carefully, you will notice that:

Overall Appeal (First Column) :  Both "Immortality" & "A League Of Nobleman" are actually level with 0.64 points    

 

Actors' Popularity (Second Column) : "A League Of  Nobleman"  scores higher points 

 

Other Factors (Last Column) : Immortality" scores 23%.  "A League Of Nobleman" only manages 8%.  That means the public interest for "A League Of Nobleman" lies mainly with the 2 male leads, and the Overall Appeal.

 

But in my heart,  "A LEAGUE OF NOBLEMAN"   IS NO 1 :

a)   The Visuals are "Stunning".  So "Cinematic".   Makes me feels like I'm watching a Movie! 

b)   The Music is so "Exciting".

c)   The Colour-Contrast is  "Impressive".

d)   The Actings are "On-Line"

Song Wei Long  is more spontaneous and cheeky as a young boy.  Look.  How heartily he laughs when somebody told him he is Handsome.  But as he grows up, he becomes more reserved and cautious, because of the unpredictable way Society reacts to his words and actions.

The Trailer Of  "A League Of Nobleman" Is Eye-Catching ! 

 

Following the popularity of "The Legend Of Fei", the trailer of "A League Of Nobleman" rushed into hot searches.

 

In just a few days, the official account alone has 120,000+ reposts, and the reading volume of related topics exceeded 60 million and continues to rise.

 

"A League Of Nobleman" is the first "forerunner" in many delayed dramas in the second half of 2020.

 

 

 

 

"A League Of Nobleman" not only chooses the characters close to the original, but also puts great effort into costumes, makeup and props. Although the shooting took less than three months,  the layout of the scene is already a visual feast of antique buildings.

 

The trailer of "A League Of Nobleman"  earned enough popularity and reputation in terms of time and quality.

 

Even then, it still faces many difficulties, among which are :

1) the collision with other upcoming BL dramas 

2) the obvious comparisons

3) the competition for ratings of other TV series 

 

In any case,  "A League Of Nobleman" is a rare period drama of conscience.

Although handsome or not handsome are only in the Eyes of the Beholder, the editor is still surprised that Song Wei Long only ranked 9th.

This is an actual experience shared by one of  Song Wei Long's fans.  She said some time back she was in the airport and saw  Song Wei Long.  It was raining heavily. So there were not many fans waiting for him. 

 

That day happened to be her birthday.

 

They were in the Security Checks Area:

Fan : Long Long, can you sign an autograph for me? It's my birthday today

SWL: Sorry (The fan said even when he turned down your request, he'll turn and look at you politely in the eyes).

 

After passing the Security Check, the fan was about to leave.  SWL was still collecting his possessions when ...

 

SWL: emm.... please wait for a while.  I'll sign for you

Fan : I was so surprised to hear these words coming out from the mouth of a Popular

         Actor.  He is really very kind, cares about his fans' every little request and will do

         his best to fulfil it.  I was in a daze and suddenly blurted out: "If you don't trust

         me I'll show you the sfz".  After SWL has signed for her, she said : Thank you.

 

SWL: No problem (The fan said he said it in a  very distinct and sincere manner)

 

         She said that SWL put the cap back on the Marker Pen properly before returning

         it to her.  But SWL accidentally left his Air-Ticket in between the photos when he 

         gave them back to her.

 

         When he discovered that his air-ticket was missing, he turned over his things,

         looking for it. But at last realised that he had left it with her.  SWL turned around

         and asked her:

 

SWL:  My ticket......

 

The Fan want to thank Song Wei Long for giving her a very unforgetable 20th birthday.  She wants to let everybody knows that Song Wei Long is really a very nice person.  Worthwhile to be his fan.

It is only wise for the Producer to have the Script of "A League Of Nobleman"  revised.  The original content is strictly a BL Story, which is forbidden in China.  

 

Had the Producer retained the original script, the drama will never see daylights.  So the Scriptwriters changed to a "Dual Detectives Story".  Which I think, is genius.

 

Da Feng Gua Guo should be wise enough than to attack the Drama time and again.  

 

I kind of support China's policy.  Because if a country is too "lax" in all matters, the people will definitely descend into "decadence" - like what has happened to the rest of the world.  Absolute Freedom also comes with a Price.

 

As we know, films can  easily influence us without even we realising it.  Even little children will ape what they see.

 

One very good example is Song Wei Long himself.  He just saw Jet Li's movie "Shao Lin Temple", and then went crying and demanding from his parents to go to Shao Lin.

Da Feng Gua Guo Is Sorry For What She Has Said About

Song Wei Long

 

At last, Da Feng Gua Guo, the writer of the novel "Zhang Gong-An" ("A League Of Nobleman") expressed remorse for what she has previously said about  Song Wei Long. 

 

It was long overdue.  It was an indirect apology. But it is still an apology.

 

After posting her opinions on the drama on 19 December 2020, she made another post later that night.  She said:

 

"I was told that my remarks had an impact on  a certain Star.  Indeed the Star has been reviled by a lot of people.  I said before that this Star is not fit to play Zhang Ping. 

 

I felt I was very irrational at that time. and I had no right to oppose him.  I'm sorry."

 

But the damage has been done. When Da Feng Gua Guo demonised Song Wei Long, the news was all over the media and internet.  Even until today.    But none reported her apology. No, not a single word.  They prefer "Scandals":

 

-  Song Wei Long's new girlfriend

-  Song Wei Long's face breaks out in Pimples

 

Is there not a single conscientious,  professional reporter left in this world?   Where is the voice of Truth, Courage and Reason?
