[News] Han Ye Ri Shows A Softer Side To Her Character On “Switch”
SBS’s upcoming drama “Switch” has released stills of Han Ye Ri tearing up in spite of her usually strong character.
In the drama, Han Ye Ri plays the role of an enthusiastic prosecutor Oh Ha Ra who goes by the motto “Move forward now and think later.” She is a confident, capable woman whom no barriers can stop.

The released stills, however, show Han Ye Ri looking into space and slightly tearing up. In her usual short hair and a formal suit, she has her arms firmly crossed as she stands outside. Because Oh Ha Ra is generally bright, bold, and full of confidence, this soft side to her casts a new light on her character.

The said scene was shot on February 25 in Yangpyeong County. While Han Ye Ri spent time listening to the instructions carefully, she also cheered up the staff by giving them a big smile every once in a while. After discussing the scene with the director, the actress stepped up to the set and immediately began tearing up once the cameras began rolling, surprising onlookers.

Han Ye Ri has reportedly been boosting energy to the set with her constant smiles and positive attitude. Although the scene was short, she remained committed and tried her best to give it her all.

The production staff of “Switch” shared, “Han Ye Ri has been fully portraying the bold, confident character of Oh Ha Ra. Since being cast she really feels like Oh Ha Ra herself.” They also asked viewers to look forward to the reason why Oh Ha Ra became so emotional.

“Switch” featuring Jang Geun Suk and Han Ye Ri premieres on March 28 at 10 p.m. KST. You can watch it on Viki!

[News] Jang Geun Suk, Han Ye Ri, And Jung Woong In Feature In New Photos For “Switch”
SBS has shared new character stills for their upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “Switch.”
Jang Geun Suk will play the charismatic and brilliant Sa Do Chan, who is smart enough to become a prosecutor but due to a reason that has not been revealed yet, becomes a conman instead. With both a legal mind and conman tricks up his sleeve, he prefers to only scam people with a shady past. The mischievous glint in Jang Geun Suk’s eye in his new photo is only a teaser for the interesting situations that will play out in Sa Do Chan’s life.

Alongside him will be Han Ye Ri playing Oh Ha Ra, a passionate prosecutor who overcame all of her obstacles with pure talent alone. She has been close friends with Baek Joon Soo since they were in school, and when he is attacked during a case involving a new strain of drugs, she stumbles upon Sa Do Chan, who looks exactly like Baek Joon Soo. Though she hesitates at first to work with a conman, she strikes up an uneasy partnership with him to get revenge for her friend and solve the case.

Against the duo will be Jung Woong In playing Geum Tae Woong, the antagonist of the drama who is also the head of an art gallery. Although he is revered in the art industry for his intelligence and sophisticated eye, his art gallery is a ruse for the drug operation he runs in the shadows. He easily identifies his opponents’ weaknesses and uses them to get rid of anyone who stands in his way.

The production staff stated, “The new character stills are of the three characters who will lead the drama. Not only will Jang Geun Suk, Han Ye Ri, and Jung Woong In portray unique characters, but they will also be playing out a fast-paced story full of laughs.”

“Switch” will be the story of a conman suddenly becoming a prosecutor and using his skills to take down those who try to avoid the law. The first episode will air on March 28 as the follow-up to “Return.”

[News] Jang Geun Suk Is Excited Beyond Words To Go To Work As A Prosecutor In SBS Drama “Switch”
SBS’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “Switch” released new photos of Jang Geun Suk as Sa Do Chan, a genius conman who originally fails to become a prosecutor.

“Switch” revolves around the story of a conman-turned-prosecutor who makes criminals pay for crimes that prosecutors did not. Jang Geun Suk will take on two roles, Sa Do Chan, a swindler and wannabe prosecutor, and Baek Joon Soo, a prosecutor who follows the law to the smallest of details.

In the photos, Jang Geun Suk appears as if he’s dancing his way into the prosecutors’ office. He can’t hide his elated expression, and he is all smiles as he enters his new workplace. His cheerful appearance perfectly portrays the easy-going and lighthearted nature of Sa Do Chan.

These shots were taken while he was filming on February 27 at Asan in South Chungcheong Province. Clad in a stylish trench coat, Jang Geun Suk acted out exaggerated movements and humorous expressions that made everyone on the film set burst into laughter. The actor is known to meticulously choose the outfits for fashionista Sa Do Chan himself, and he also researched how to come up with the best expressions, gestures, and way of speaking to define his sly yet charming conman character.

A source stated, “Jang Geun Suk is the best person to play the role of Sa Do Chan, who crosses the line between a con artist and a prosecutor freely, and conveys a pleasant and cheerful feeling. Even the staff members on set are falling deeply for Sa Do Chan’s charms.”

“Switch” will air its first episode on March 28 at 10 p.m. KST.

[News] Jang Geun Suk And His Motley Crew Encounter Something Unexpected In New SBS Drama “Switch”
Jang Geun Suk, Jo Hee Bong, Shin Do Hyun, and Ahn Seung Hwan are ready to make viewers laugh as a motley team of fraudsters!

SBS’s “Switch” is an upcoming drama that explores the tale of the intellectually briliant conman-turned prosecutor Sa Do Chan (Jang Geun Suk), who takes it upon himself to capture criminals that others haven’t been able to.

In the drama, Sa Do Chan is aided by his team of fellow conmen: director Bong (Jo Hee Bong), who’s good at special effects makeup and talking himself out of trouble, So Eun Ji (Shin Do Hyun), a fraud actress who was originally a nurse and would do anything for Sa Do Chan, and Jeon In Tae (Ahn Seung Hwan), a genius hacker who lacks social skills and is known for his cynical personality.

In the newly released stills, these four conmen are surprised by something they see on a tablet. While they are usually bright and mischievous, they all look noticeably worried by whatever is on the tablet. Notably, Jang Geun Suk and Shin Do Hyun are dressed up as a pilot and flight attendant respectively. In one particular photo, Jang Geun Suk, as Sa Do Chan, ends up storming off with the other three staring at him.

This scene was filmed on March 13 in Ilsan. Each of the actors were met with approval when they showed up on set with their new “costumes.” Jang Geun Suk was reportedly very pleased with his pilot uniform, and couldn’t hide the smile off of his face. Known to be the “mood-maker” on set, Jang Geun Suk also made the rest of the cast and crew laugh with his comedic lines.

The four actors are said to have great chemistry together, and their teamwork will cause much laughter during the drama. The production crew commented, “All the actors have been passionately filming and have been a huge help in raising the end result of ‘Switch.’ Please keep an eye out to see what kind of frauds Sa Do Chan and the other three conmen may commit.”

“Switch” will premiere on March 28 at 10 p.m. KST, following the end of “Return.”

[News] Han Ye Ri And Jang Geun Suk Confront Each Other In “Switch”
SBS’s upcoming drama “Switch” released stills of Jang Geun Suk and Han Ye Ri engaged in an argument.
In the drama, Jang Geun Suk plays the role of a genius swindler Sa Do Chan, while Han Ye Ri plays Oh Ha Ra, a prosecutor full of energy and personality.

The newly released photos show Sa Do Chan and Oh Ha Ra going through an argument. Unlike Oh Ha Ra, who is nicely dressed as usual, Sa Do Chan is dressed in a hospital gown and is even hooked up to an IV. He stares at Oh Ha Ra in shock for a moment while she has her arms folded and keeps a straight face.

In the next photo, however, Oh Ha Ra turns to grab Sa Do Chan’s arm and stops him from leaving. The stills raise the question of why Sa Do Chan is receiving medical treatment and how the two came to confront each other.
This scene was filmed on February 25 in Yangpyeong County. Jang Geun Suk and Han Ye Ri were cheerful and energetic on set, holding onto their scripts and working together in delivering their lines during the rehearsal.

Moreover, the scene included an open conflict between the two main characters. When the cameras began rolling, Jang Geun Suk immediately fell into character with his usual smile wiped off from his face. Han Ye Ri also portrayed the subtle emotions of Oh Ha Ra who suddenly blocks Sa Do Chan from leaving.

The production staff of “Switch” explained that the stills were from a scene where the two characters unexpectedly find themselves in a conflict. “As much as the scene serves as a motive for Sa Do Chan and Oh Ha Ra to work together in solving a case, the two actors committed more seriously than ever,” they added.

“Switch” premieres on March 28 at 10 p.m. KST, following the end of “Return.”

[News] Jang Geun Suk Transforms Into Indie Band Guitarist For “Switch”
SBS’s upcoming drama “Switch” released stills of Jang Geun Suk fully transformed into a guitarist of an indie band.
In the drama, Jang Geun Suk plays the role of Sa Do Chan, a genius swindler who fails to become a prosecutor.

The photos show him disguised as a typical street musician, holding a black guitar case and wearing a leather jacket with his hair dyed brown.
As Sa Do Chan confronts someone on the street, he looks disapproving at first and then appears to be fully angry, opening his eyes wide and diving into a heated argument.

The scene was filmed on March 6 in Hongdae, which is an area famous for its street musicians. Jang Geun Suk came to set wearing horn-rimmed glasses and typical hippie-style clothes that Korean indie band members often wear. His readiness was received with cheers from the production staff.

Jang Geun Suk has been boosting the staff’s energy with his constant smiles and bright attitude despite the pressure of having to embody different personalities each recording due to his con-man character. He also monitors and reviews every scene in detail before moving on to prepare himself for the following scene.

The production staff of “Switch” shared that Sa Do Chan’s various transformations in each episode will be something to look forward to in the drama. “Jang Geun Suk’s enthusiasm in playing two parts as Sa Do Chan and Baek Joon Soo really stands out,” they said. “The staff on set are filming in high spirits as well.”

“Switch” premieres on March 28 at 10 p.m KST.
