[News] Watch: Han Ye Ri And Jang Geun Suk Tease An Unexpected Partnership In 1st Trailer For “Switch”
SBS’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “Switch” has dropped its first teaser video hinting at interesting things to come for lead roles Jang Geun Suk and Han Ye Ri.

 

The video begins with Sa Do Chan (Jang Geun Suk) confidently walking with his posse while a voiceover says, “He’s a famous conman,” and “His IQ is 168. He’s a total genius.” The scene then cuts to Han Ye Ri taking down a suspect and introducing herself as prosecutor Oh Ha Ra.

Prosecutor Baek Joon Soo (Jang Geun Suk) is driving when a truck comes barreling his way, and a voiceover mentions that there exists a person who looks just like him. Oh Ha Ra can then be seen shouting Baek Joon Soo’s name and hugging Sa Do Chan tightly as she says, “This is a divine intervention.” Finally, she says, “We need this man,” and Sa Do Chan transforms into prosecutor Baek Joon Soo.

The production staff of “Switch” stated, “The drama will follow the story of a conman who finds himself becoming a prosecutor through an unlikely series of events. Jang Geun Suk will impress as two different characters, and he and Han Ye Ri will captivate viewers together.”

As the follow-up to “Return,” “Switch” will begin airing in March.

[News] Jang Geun Suk Transforms Into Two Different Characters In First Stills For “Switch”
SBS’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “Switch” has released its first stills for leading man Jang Geun Suk taking on two different roles.

“Switch” will begin airing this month and will follow the story of a conman-turned-prosecutor to send a satirical message about the fine line between right and wrong. Jang Geun Suk will take on two roles, Sa Do Chan, a genius who becomes a conman after failing to becoming a prosecutor, and Baek Joon Soo, a prosecutor who follows the law to the smallest of details.'

 

 

The new stills show Jang Geun Suk taking on the two different characters, using his gaze and expressions to go back and forth between the two. While Sa Do Chan laughs with a charismatic glint in his eye, Baek Joon Soo is cold and trains a sharp gaze on everyone.

 

The production staff of “Switch” stated, “As seen in the new stills, Jang Geun Suk has perfect both roles. We can confidently say that the energy that can be felt in the teasers will continue throughout the drama.”

“Switch” is the follow-up drama to “Return” and will begin airing this March.

[News][SBS Star] Who Are You? A Swindler? A Prosecutor? Jang Keun Suk in 'SWITCH'
Actor Jang Keun Suk's comeback on screen with the new SBS drama 'SWITCH: Change the World' is on fire.

On March 6, the behind photos of the drama were released online and illustrated Jang Keun Suk's successful change as an actor.

The drama intends to give satirical messages to the audience based on the setting that does not clearly define the boundary between the legitimacy and illegality.
Jang Keun Suk plays two completely different characters, a smart swindler named Sa Do-chan and a righteous prosecutor named Park Jun-su.

From the first teaser of the drama released on March 1, Jang Keun Suk is boldly taking steps out, and his actions indicate his renown as a brainy swindler.

 

But the scenes in the aftermath of his bold posture as a swindler suggest Jang Keun Suk's duty as another character in the show.

The scene in which the photo of the righteous prosecutor Paik Jun-su, for instance, changes to the one of the swindler Sa Do-chan, gives a contrast to Jang Keun Suk's two different roles.

Moreover, constant flippings of Jang Keun Suk's face from the one to the other further heightens the amusing plot line of the drama.
Jang Keun Suk's skillful change from his original character to the completely different role perfectly harmonizes with the storyline. His continual alterations of different roles deliver the unique qualities of each character.

The charismatic facial expression of the swindler Sa Do-chan and the perceptive eyes with cold, numb facial expressions of the righteous prosecutor Paik Jun-su further add tension in the drama.

SBS TEASES WITH BEHIND-THE-SCENE PHOTOS OF ACTOR JANG GEUN SUK AND THE TWO FACES HE WILL SHOWCASE FOR UPCOMING SERIES, SWITCH: CHANGE THE WORLD.
After dropping the trailer video, SBS threw in some stills to tease drama fans even more, showing Jang Geun Suk in dapper and geeky look.

The actor is praised for his immersion to the two roles he will play. His attention to details, in differentiating the gaze, emotion, and aura of the conman and the prosecutor he will portray, shows dedication for his new project.

 

Jang Geun Suk meticulously monitored the shot scenes, making sure that there will be no lapse for how he made visible difference to the two characters he played.

[News] Han Ye Ri Transforms Into A Charismatic Prosecutor In New Drama “Switch”
Upcoming SBS drama “Switch” has released its first stills of Han Ye Ri!
“Switch” will tell the story of a conman-turned-prosecutor named Sa Do Chan (played by Jang Geun Suk) and Oh Ha Ra (played by Han Ye Ri), a woman who overcame the societal obstacles of coming from a low-income family, attending a provincial university, and being a female prosecutor. It aims to send a satirical message about the fine line between right and wrong.

 

During her middle and high school years, Oh Ha Ra was falsely accused of stealing and was almost expelled from school. However, thanks to the help of her senior Baek Joon Soo (also played by Jang Geun Suk), she was able to be cleared of the false charges.

When her “savior” Baek Joon Soo declares that he wants to become a prosecutor and begins to study, she also follows in his footsteps and becomes a prosecutor as well.

 

In the stills, Han Ye Ri debuts a new look and confident appearance as she steps foot inside a building. After discussing it with the director, Han Ye Ri cut her hair in order to portray Oh Ha Ra, showing dedication to her role. When the actress first stepped onto the set with her new look, the crew members reportedly praised her and said, “[She is] the perfect image of Oh Ha Ra,” and “I feel like we’ve taken a current-day, individualistic female prosecutor and brought her to the set.”
Similar to how she was able to overcome societal obstacles throughout her life, in one particular photo, she also jumps over a physical obstacle of a security measure in the lobby.

 

After her first day of filming, Han Ye Ri said, “I had a lot of concerns before the shoot, but I’m joyfully filming with good actors, director, and staff. Please look forward to the drama ‘Switch.'”
The staff members said, “As we continue to film, we feel that Han Ye Ri is very different from other female prosecutors and is the perfect fit for the chic and confident Oh Ha Ra. Please look forward to Han Ye Ri’s appearance as the ambitious, tenacious, and strong-willed Oh Ha Ra.”

SBS’s upcoming drama “Switch” has released stills of Han Ye Ri and Jang Geun Suk’s unexpected meeting in front of the Public Prosecutors’ Office.
In the drama, Jang Geun Suk plays the role of Sa Do Chan, a genius swindler who has failed to become a prosecutor. Han Ye Ri plays Oh Ha Ra, an enthusiastic prosecutor of strong character.

The released still shows Sa Do Chan and Oh Ha Ra running into each other at the entrance of the Public Prosecutors’ Office. Both are surprised to see one another with Sa Do Chan especially looking taken aback. Oh Ha Ra steps up and pinches Sa Do Chan’s cheeks playfully, raising the question of what their relationship exactly is.

One still shows the two looking in the same direction as Sa Do Chan points to something and shouts.
The scene was filmed on February 24 and was the first scene where the actor and the actress worked together. After the script reading, Jang Geun Suk and Han Ye Ri came to the set with bright smiles and made small talk with the production staff, working to ease the tension before their shoot together.

In upcoming drama “Switch,” Jang Geun Suk plays the two roles of Cha Do Chan, a genius conman who tries and fails to become a prosecutor, and Baek Joon Soo, a prosecutor who follows the law by the letter.

 

 

In the first set of new stills, Jang Geun Suk takes part in a suspicious deal while surrounded by a slew of gangsters. Though the men clearly are trying to intimidate him, he confidently perches on the staircase while deep in thought.

In the second set of stills, he takes a phone call as he leads the very same gangsters through the front entrance of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
