BTW, just curious to know whether Bobby Kim's concert in Manila - with KMJ as a guest - will cancel or not??? considering a big flood here.  Wanna say sorry to Filipino for such a big disaster like this..wish everything will be back to nornal soon.

Kim Min Jong showed his newly moved-in house for the 1st time

Kim Min Jong has never showed his house to public before. Since debut, there were many fans who wished to see daily life of Kim Min Jong and sent in their requests for Kim Min Jong’s house interview.

But Kim Min Jong who so far politely declined all these requests, had for the first time invited Magazine ML for a visit to his house. In the cozy apartment, we had a chat with Kim Min Jong and his mother.

The most beautiful person in this world is my mother whom I love so much

Kim Min Jong returned home from school and he greeted Magazine ML team with a bright and fresh-looking face that looked like just had a good wash up.

Wearing a short-sleeved T-shirt and light purple training pants, Kim Min Jong looked much more comfortable and at ease in the cozy house compared to at filming sets or other interview places.

In the past, he has been living in Jamwondong, he moved into new house at Nonhyundong for only slightly more than a month. His usual house at Jamwondong was a bit small, the structure of the house was not very convenient so he had thought of moving to new house.

At end of March, his elder brother had his wedding ceremony and it was perfect timing to move house this time. His elder brother moved to his new wedding house nearby. In Nonhyundong apartment, there are his parents, second sister and youngest child, Min Jong. In this way, four family members live together.

Right beside the front door of the house was Min Jong’s room, it looked just like an ordinary University student’s room with simple finishings. A single bed made of raw timber, a small set of mini audio system, a TV set, a built-in wardrobe and a small drawer set. Besides these, there were no other furniture. His clothes were few, unlike an entertainer who had made debut a few years ago. But his mother had converted the veranda into dressing room for his use.

When moving into new house, the biggest headache was how to bring along those fan letters and all sorts of gifts received from fans. The fan letters were tidily packed into paper boxes and gifts from fans were carefully wrapped up to prevent any damage.
All these stuffs were enough to pack fully one big truck, another moving-house truck need to be called in. Not even a piece of fan’s letter was thrown away, all of them were packed nicely in the storage room.

Those fan letters which came in daily were arranged and placed at one side, after Min Jong had read them, his mother will placed them in scrapbooks. His mother’s sincerity is enormous.

Moving into new house, the happiest thing is having two rows of built-in cabinet installed at one side of the wall.
Compared to other entertainers, he received especially lots of colourful paper-made cranes, paper crane eggs and paper turtles. He displayed them nicely in neat order on the cabinet. Just a look at them, it seemed there were more than 50 bottles.

Books that he read when he was a child, a basketball from fans (his fans signed autographs on the ball and sent to him), baby shoes, necklaces from fans which he loves to wear during program shows, all these are items which gives him strength and motivation.

To take care of his health, his mother prepares vegetable juice for him every morning

On days when there is no filming schedule, Min Jong wakes up at around 9am. This school term, he returned back to school attending filmography classes at Seoul Art University. On days when there are filming schedules, Min Jong wakes up at around 7am and rushes to filming set.

He does not have a single rest day and he always returns home very late in the early morning after filming. So, his mother prepares vegetable juice for him on every mornings and sometimes brews tonics for him. But if Min Jong drinks, his mother’s sincerity would go to waste.

Min Jong is exactly like his mother. Not just his looks, even his character is same as his mother. His mother’s friend who came over for a family visit today made this explanation to the reporter.

We can say love for one’s child is an endless love. His mother described Min Jong as the kindest among her four children and the one who most understands his mother’s heart.

Under severe family condition, Min Jong never strays from proper path and is able to grow up healthily and as a kind boy, his mother is very grateful for this and loves Min Jong unreservedly.

When Min Jong was attending national school, his father who owned several landed properties made a mistake by being guarantor for a friend and as a result became bankrupt.

Their family situation became very drastic overnight. In order for four children to continue schooling, his mother has to start working to earn money.
That year when Min Jong started attending middle-school, at evening time he returned home from school. He quickly ran to his mother’s side and declared proudly: “Mother, I have replaced the charcoals.”

His mother felt grateful and satisfied that her son had finally reached the age of being able to care and think for his mother. Opening the cover of the stove, young Min Jong looked funny placing the charred pieces of charcoals at the bottom and putting the red-burning pieces on the top.

He is kind since he was a small kid. His elder brother and sister enjoyed playing balls or going over to relatives’ house to play but young Min Jong would always stay at his mother’s side to help her matters.

His mother kept a small shop to have earnings to send four children to school. Sometimes she needs to settle some matters at home and she will leave her shop, leaving young Min Jong to take care of the shop. Fearing that relatives around his age would come into the shop to grab titbits and cookies away, young Min Jong would safeguard the shop obediently. However, his elder brother and sister appeared and each grabbed a pack away, but he never made complaints to his mother because he did not wish to see his mother getting angry.

Looks and character is totally like his mother

Although we can describe Min Jong as his mother’s most beloved son but Min Jong is not brought up as a spoilt child. If he commit wrong once, he can be forgiven but his mother did not pardon him for the second time.

Because he is a young man who enjoys drinking, sometimes he came back home drunk. On such days, his mother prepares honey drink for him and warned him: “Make sure you come home early tomorrow.”  If Min Jong goes drinking again on the next day, then he will be punished.

His mother will not prepare vegetable juice for him in the morning, will not iron his clothes for him and also will not give him any meals for the whole day. But the number of days that his mother did not prepare vegetable juice for him was not more than 5 fingers in that 4 to 5 years’ time.

Just like how his mother cares for her son, likewise, Min Jong cares as much for his mother.
So thinking how this mother and son talked to each other in dialect during late nights is enough to make one smile warmly.

Waiting for her son who always comes home in early morning due to filming, Min Jong’s mother tries to keep herself awake by drinking 3 to 4 cups of coffee. In order not to arouse his tired mother who is dozing off, Min Jong crept into the house quietly.

Also, in order not to show a tired look to his mother, no matter now hungry he is, he will lie to his mother saying: “I had my dinner already. Mother, please quickly rest well.”

His mother said: “Initially I was against him becoming an entertainer, but besides this, he has no other talents, what to do? Moreover, he thought his decision was right and was stubborn till the end...”

The fortunate thing was that he was greatly popular but he reminded himself not to indulge thinking himself as more superior and also not to do anything that would cause everyone to be disappointed with him.

Like the kid who greets his elders ten times, twenty times whom he saw in his neighbourhood, he carries that same kind of disposition working as an entertainer.

But it was heartbreaking to see fans who came all the way from outside city areas and suburbs at midnight just to see Min Jong, waiting for Min Jong and shivering in the cold wind.

His mother find these schoolgirls pitiful, they have came from far away so she invited them into the house and also prepared tea for them to warm their bodies. But it was really impossible to do this all the time.

Since moving to new house, there have been a few schoolgirls waiting and looking at their house from outside, before leaving they took away all the socks which were hung on the laundry line for drying, so on the next morning they had to iron wet socks to make it dry for wearing.

These schoolgirls are just like her kids, Min Jong’s mother wished that they do not wait to see famous star and shivers in the cold wind.

Min Jong’s mother attends the temple to pray for her son’s health. In order not to forsake his mother’s sincerity, Min Jong is much more matured compared to children who are same age as him. And his words and actions are trustworthy.

Min Jong who easily reveals all his feelings through his big round eyes, sat beside his mother who said she dislikes taking photos. Sitting beside his mother and smiling, Min Jong seemed a kid.

In the middle of the interview, his mother made fun of Min Jong and talked bad about him. Kim Min Jong was embarrassed and said: “My mother really remembers everything.”

At the end of the interview, Min Jong needs to leave house at late night again to do recording for his 2nd album. He said he needs to stay overnight this time. Min Jong said he cannot eat too full when he has recording but his mother forcefully fed him food.

Looking at both mother and son, it makes one feel once again that a mother’s love is the most beautiful thing in this world.

Listening to music, Kim Min Jong arranged the lyrics which came to his mind in the morning and noted them in his memo.

Kim Min Jong playing his guitar, practising the songs which are going to be recorded in his 2nd album. Besides acting, music is another way that he expresses his inner self.

In this world, I love my mother the most. Anyone can almost immediately identify them as mother and son due to their close resemblance in looks.

A fan sent Min Jong a scrapbook with his photos. Min Jong enjoys his own photos in the scrapbook.

It has been long time since Min Jong sweeps the floor of his room. Min Jong arranges his own bed and tidies his own room. But his mother usually sweeps the floor for him.

A two-row built-in display cabinet in Min Jong’s room. It was perfect place for gifts received from his fans. He displayed them nicely in neat order. Compared to other stars, he received especially lots of such coloured-paper cranes, crane eggs and turtles. Cute baby shoes and a metal can that can make sounds and shake at same time

@kesf  Whao.  KMJ is really a good boy of his mom.  He resembles his mom.

I'm not sure that he still lives in this house 'coz it's been 20 years already o_O.  His face doesn't change 'coz I think he might not have any (or very least) surgery (glad to know that his handsome is REAL not fake).
