The girl is still in shock from discovering her mother on the floor with a slit wrist. After he asks for her name, she introduces herself as Yoon Seo-jung. She pulls out a letter from her mother that says to find Dr. Do at Geodae Hospital should anything happen to her. I got so caught up in this weeks episodes, that I forgot. Omo it's going to be hell week this week and the week after the best 2 episodes yet. That does make nervous since the last time a network made a best episode promise one was delayed and then a lot of drama about when the next would air.

halluuu chingus...im new on this thread...but ive veen reading all the comment since the 1st ep. tbh i start watching this drama because of the cast  seo hyun jin...im in love with her since lets eat 2. her act is super natural. yoo yeon seok..im in love with him since jeju gatsby..;) but the amazing pilot episode makes me in love with the drama...just didnt realise  that 1 hour past so fast..

im a medical doctor..still a gp..working in ER..the scenes of this drama is so real ( the nagging senior nurse , but all of us love her  ), the young cute nurse  the hectic during weekend and calling reffered hospital or specialist for patient refferal. but some of the case just exagerated..maybe because they are resident so they can perform such treatment..but normally they not do that in ER  and theres no such cute doctors at my work place :(((

i just wish the PD would put more romantic scene..since our OTP so sweet together

From what my understanding is that on 29th Nov that special ep is a summary ep of all the eps 1-7 for those to catch up or have missed the previous eps. Then ep 8 will follow. That PD note was a parody that PDnim put together and it has more pics but I didnt post it just the link.

What can I say Im been selectively biased 

 

The collaboration surgery scene.. as I recall in the previous Doctors drama they would have some real trained doctors to teach the actors/ actresses the techniques and medical terminology used. Infact it was the surgery scenes that took most of their time in shooting as they want it as accurate as possible esp given the time restraint of live shooting. I gather here wouldnt be any diff. I do hope they have more experts in the field to help the actors/ actresses and I hope we get a making vid of some of these surgical scenes too.... AGAIN SBS u

Please no love triangle... Mr Cute (IB) doesnt look at SJ that way. Its more sibling like relationship. Esp the way how they tried to convince TK who was responsible in performing the surgery of the taxi driver. Im glad Mr Cute owned up and from that scene I felt that he also did it because he didnt want SJ to take the blame so he wont owe her anything. I think he feels a lil resentful towards SJ whom his father introduced her as a "noona" - which could mean both real or not real sister. Back then his father's affection of her was so noticeable that he too became a doctor to get his father's acknowledgement.

TK was so smart in bringing IB to Doldam. This will indeed prolong Director Do plan in building a new Sanatarium there. But the Director is just as cunning dispatching most of the General Surgeon team there to I gather find any means possible to bring down Doldam starting with SJ.  If SJ is his daughter this Director is ... is it possible that he never knew of her existence until her mother tragically committed suicide? I dunno can he be "human" esp the way that he looks at her... such conflicting emotions. I cant hate him becos dam I love his acting.

I think the voices in her head will be triggered. Hopefully he will see why she's been holding back and they can tackle it together. ONE MORE DAY TO GO!!! YAY!!

New BTS of DJ and TK

I love the bromance here. TK is teaching DJ and his way of acknowledging DJ skills is diff  In their collaboration scene you could see that TK does indeed admire DJ skills and he could trust DJ in running the ER when his away - though he forgot to check if DJ was there before he left. I believe his method of teaching is one that I could describe as "you gotta be cruel to be kind" Yes his harsh on DJ and SJ but its his style and if it works why not?? It's his harsh words that is bringing out the best of them... Eg him constantly reminding SJ that she's "just" an orderly made her finally step up... and how proud was he (plus Nurse Oh) when they were talking about her. 

As for DJ I think his weakness is his own confidence in his skills... fear of table death, fear of his lack of experience in his field. It's his fear that making him rely on others (SJ and TK). TK is teaching DJ to trust in himself so he can become a better doctor and one whom will always try his/ her best without regret.  How true is TK words (from DB recaps) 

 Teacher Kim imparts a few words of wisdom—when a patient dies on an operating table, it isn’t the grief that haunts surgeons long after, it’s the guilt of feeling like they didn’t fight until the end trying to save the patient. “Regret drives a person crazier than failure,” he adds.

@supergal99 and @lavender2love you two are so creative and ermmm imaginative. I'm feeling blue and your posts makes me laugh, laughing is the best remedy. 

@Kasmic thanks for your kind explanation, I'd love to see how they summarise 7 episodes in one hour.  But still I think there would be a love triangle, as can be seen from their latest chart, there's a pink line between DIB and YSJ and the new china girl and KDJ  

Since someone mentioned about DIB being jealous about SJ (probably receiving attention from Dir Do in the past) when i look at the chart again, is seems plausible since there is also a purple line connecting Dir Do and TK which also means Dir Do has also been jealous of TK because of his skills and popularity etc.

I translated a chinese drama review on RDTK for sharing. I feel many are like this writer who discovered RDTK appeal after trying it out and that many viewers got sick of medical dramas bec there were so much of it this year. But once they give it a try, they will find its charm, that also explains the rising ratings, plus I hope many more would give it a try like she did.

i have been absolutely so busy this last week, i even worked in week-end , i just had half day free yesterday ( saturday) and i took this occasion to catch with RDTK, well i could watch only episode 5 and then i faal asleep because of night duty

it was a very strong episode, and it showed us the progress of the relationship between TK and DJ, it's much better, since he understood him while they were in the OR at the same time. i believe that this kind of tumor is very complicated, it's not easy and hemi hepatectomy in real life is done by senior surgeons sometimes by professors it's a very difficult and delicate intervention and not anyone can do it. i somehow agree with TK about running and CT scan ...etc but as we can see they were in hurry since it was very urgent and they couldn't check the patients medical history and of course as long as he saved the patient it's ok, but i think that the purpose of TK blaming DJ was to make him believe that he can be better and that he should perseverate. he needs to know it

i'm gonne try to watch episode 6 now and let's see, but i just hope that the romance with DJ and SJ will develope soon ; i can't wait anymore, that's why we all watch kdramas

Director Do might have another kind of a relationship with her mother...maybe even a blood one....don't remember was anything said bout SJ's mother past...maybe she went agianst her family when she married...maybe he's from her father side....just maybe...

Hi everyone . ..new member of this drama thread 

Actually I didn't think that I may see this drama when I heard casting news cause I'm not lead actors fan or Writer's fan...seeing some tweet about this drama ; it's  successfull rating and one short video from YYS on this drama and decided to watch... I was really excited with just see 2 eps and now more Existed !  this drama is really diffrent in many way...

Today I saw eps 3,4,5,6 together :)))   you can guess how much I like this drama amd excited  for upcoming eps...though this drama doesn't have that much love story as another ones may have...I like it so much..not Bcaz of techer kim or his mysterious life or Bcaz of DO family ...actually Bcaz of the character ' s Procces on this drama and their decision & relationship especially about lead male & female

I saw half of ep 1 and I said So it's good drama but when I ended ep2 I said it's a great one

I like how DJ who suppose to be drama Hero or at least one of Heroes does so many mistakes and he isn't Sooo nice & completely man

At first I expected him to refuse VIP Guy cuz he had exactly the same experience in past & it was the reason he became Doctor but he disappointed me 

Then when that person's daughter Cried so much I expected him changing his desiceion  but he disappointed me again 

Then I expected him winning about VIP guy and then see his regret after seeing anther one Die but not...

Then I expected him when he saw teacher  kim's ability want to work with him but he didn't 

Then I expected him changing  his thoughts after seeing YJ at hospital . still nothing 

Then I expected him to even not thinking about back to hospital with lies .. but he wanted to go

Then I expected him forgetting doing that caz of so many ill people but he didn't 

And at last he did his first step after seeing that mother's crying 

And I expected him a lot but he didn't most of them ..

Same with SJ ...I really didn't expect her to refuse his BF propose Bcaz of DJ's confession 

This is mystery still ... why she had BF whom she didn't like enough ? 

I didn't expect her saying I miss you too to DJ 

And So many else .  

But she did  

But he did 

It helped me leave that Dreams and imagination and be more Realistic . .

So more than DO family story and Hospital strory I'm Excited too much for their another decision . ..and their love story..though it's not that much I like their love ... and waiting for their good days...days that she can be with him without any distrub Sound ...

So I really like this drama much and Don't know why there isn't so much International Fan for it... though Korea rating is Soooo good again

Excuse my rambling but yeah Im making up for been away  here. .kekeke.

Too continue of my previous post and going forward Im looking forward to see how TK will apply his widom to Mr Cute-IB. His an intersting character one I will def literally enjoy peeling his layers off (hahaha!) no seriously he seems like a person whom def has the skills, knowledge and most importantly the confidence (which is what DJ and SJ lacked) of a surgeon. So i was wondering what does he lack that TK can instill on him. is it empathy of his patients- no I think not as we saw he performed the surgery hence choosing saving a life over protocol. So he does have a sense of empathy or righteousness that a doctor would need. Then could it be that he doesnt have the passion? Ive noticed the emphasis on his hands (as someone else point out too) TK would look at his hands and at 1st he thought he was a pianist. I wonder does this indicate that IB lacked is the passion of being a doctor. I did predict (as did some others here) that IB became a doctor to 1. follow his fathers footsteps and 2. to get his fathers acknowledgment or approval. Therefore perhaps he strives to please his father and not himself. He doesnt look all too happy either and I dont blame him esp if he doesnt have the passion for it. One can be a master at their profession but what good is that if they  arent happy. You could only live a life of pleasing others to a certain extent b4 you scream and cry and wake up. Transferring IB to Doldam would be a gr8 career move for him. Esp seeing how poor and tragic some of these patients are as compared to the VIP  patients in Geodae. He has lived a life of luxury and became a snob rich character -whom can blame him right being raised up under the wing of Director Do.  DJ comment b4 he got punched (ha he deserved that too) is right lets see how good he is without his father's support. As in Doldam there is no hierarchy all doctors are equals and so are all the patients. They r so understaffed and under equip that the doctors are tested on all areas of the med field. TK Is going to b more busy now. cant wait for tonight.
