yup it's funny but i noticed the same pattern in the previous sbs drama (doctors) in the mon-tues lineup. ratings would drop, not significantly, but still by a decimal percentage or a couple of percent in the even numbered episodes. that being said tho there can be a number of reasons but i don't think lack of interest is one of them. mdbc articles are always on naver's front page after the episodes air and i remember once a good chunk of the trending articles were all about the drama.

ratings are great and tbh they are important but i never really cared for them. this has to be the one drama that i want to consistently improve with regards to that aspect bc i genuinely think the cast and crew deserves it. i don't know if they can break 30% but at this rate anything is possible. 

i'm a little late on joining in but i've been watching the drama since ep 5 aired and i'm really satisfied. not that i had many doubts to begin with given the stellar cast and promising source material (i've read a bit of the web novel and liked it a lot). 

don't know what's going to happen next but i think i can handle it with the idea of a happy ending promised. does anyone know how the web novel concluded?

In the almost 15 years I have been watching K-drama, I have never seen such beautiful use of hand movements including Ra On's dance. In so many scenes, the hands have been used to show the great longing between the couple. Never knew hands could be so romantic.

Today's episode went by really fast.  Prince Yeong got rejected like 4 times.  That must some kind of record for a love rejection in one episode.  It's interesting though that Yeong is unable to answer Ra On's concern about how could she stay by his side when she's been hiding as a eunuch and plus her "poor" background.  Love the prince but when it comes to RO he only thinks using his heart.  Surely, he knows he can't marry her.  She can only be a court lady or his concubine.  Would he want RO stay with him like this?

Anyways, where did Ra On get the other hanbok?  Did she buy it off screen?  The color is pretty though.  Poor YS needs to go shopping with her if that's the case, he needs a new outfit too.  So according to this story, Ra On was the first to use hand language...I teared during this part though because Yeong doesn't want to give up on RO and it seems like he finally found a way through her heart. 

Congrats on the ratings.  Well deserved.  I actually thought it would get a 22% rating today.  A 30% might not be impossible afterall.  Anyone want to take a guess on the cliffhanger for episode 10?  I'm making an early bet (based on the previews) that either the rebels will take Ra On or it has to do with wedding.  Like maybe Yeong asking Ra On to tell him not to go through with it.

And Kim Yoo Jung..... PD-nim made her appearance as a woman so classy in the end of episode 9, without disturbing her status as a teenage actress.

I am going to miss that free-spirit boy Hong Sam Nom character, the little rascal who talks and acts so friendly towards CP and friends. I miss her shouting at CP "Hwacho Seosaeng" - I miss her boyish voice saying "Yee, Joha" or even when she's swearing - LOL

I really adore the relationship between CP and the princesses. Awesome big bro! Our Crown Prince deserves the best oppa certificate for sure.

We can tell he loves his little sisters when he's being protective over them. When princess received the letter from the unknown man, he took matters into his own hands worried that she might being played and got her heart broken.

I'm glad we finally see some interaction between CP and the adorable little princess in episode 9 and he cares about her the same way as he cares for Princess Myung Eun. He looked agitated when they couldn't find the little princess, scared that anything bad could've happened to her. 

 

He knows how to comfort his little sisters when they're upset or sad. And he has special ways to make them listen to him 

 

The brotherly gesture when he spoon-feed the Princess and secretly tried to comfort her by giving the list of bachelors for her to choose lol, it was so sweet how he pampered her like that.

And I seriously melted when little princess gave him that bright smile, she looked so happy and comfortable around him.

 

 

I wish we will get some interactions between Princess and little princess in coming episodes. Or maybe with three of them in one scene.

This CP really set the bar so high for all the men out there... his forlorn looks, his bracelets, his declaration of love. I think i will eventually get high blood pressure, diabetes and heart attack all at the same time. 

Ok... Just for fun...let me ask you all.  If you were Ra On and you know that CP is going to get married to someone else, would you still stay on by his side? 

As for me, I don't think i would. I would be so heartbroken and its too painful to see my love marries another. I am also possessive so I don't think I can stand the thought of him spending their nights together.

one of the reason why i like this drama is bec. Bo-Gum & Yoo-Jung portray those emotional scenes even just with their eyes, those expressive eyes,  they can easily deliver all the feels trough the bones.

I agree with you...both of them portraying the emotion very well.I always get tear up when they had emotional scene plus  with the sad bgm that blend very well with the scene

The writer n director deserve the praise as they able to show the best quality of acting for the actor and actress..
