In ep 8, it's quite obvious what the director's reason is for putting a random towel on ZZ's shoulder. But again, if we accept it as reality in the Addicted-universe, here's evidence that BLY has a tattoo! There should be theories on why BLY would have a tattoo.

Watching the Happy Camps fancams and gifs is fun AND heartbreaking at the same time. They're just too adorable and pure.

I don't sense the blatant fanservice from them unlike a few other "couples". They're just exceptionally comfortable around each other, and in JY case, he used to put up his guard against strangers so ZZ was usually his only attention at events and shows. I've read a detailed fan account for the Madame Figaro French/Chinese event, and without cameras in their faces, they were still very close and ZZ was the friendlier one, trying to hook JY into conversations with others, making him laugh and talk more comfortably.

Their intentional acts of holding hands etc. therefore aren't as endearing (not that I don't squeal at them) as a glance here, a subconscious smile there; or when one teases and the other gets shy, or the way they care for each other and seem to have their own body signals even without the "couple" label tagged on. They just enjoy each other's company and we enjoy them together. Why not, both of them are good-looking, and they're like kids fooling around in their own world most of the time. It's our childhood, youth and innocence we project on them.

I think that's why the ban hurts even more, they became martyrs for LGBT rights/artistic freedom against homophobic oppression and censorship, and I think it's unfair. They're not even LGBT activists nor making any political statement, when they met and acted last year, it was just a job, and they found a great friend in each other, and they playfully went along with the flow, being open-minded. But China is currently being on a censoring rampage, if even Apple and big stars have fallen under censorship, how can they, newbies and all, fight it? They may find independent successes, yes, the ban may be lifted, yes, they may meet again irl or even wishfully on stage, yes; but the scars are already cut, grown men stop being feely-touchy, sweet smiles become awkward handshakes, and even the closest friends drift apart; how much time left for these 20-something guys to be this close and this happy together?

It's devastating to accept that they may never interact like this again.

Sorry for bringing down the mood, I thought I wanted to see the 2 shows they filmed together as they are the last moments of them in unbridled joy, but now I don't think I can.

The hand writing seems quite familiarlooking ....especially the English words and the smile face, so i guess it is JY's.

I can totally feel you, and others might too.. i think somehow it violates basic human rights coz they should be able to play, talk, work and hang around with anyone they want geezz.....

 

I just hope all of them will find a way to still being close and true to each other. ANYWAY.. If ZZ and JY destined to be together like a damn-too-cute-to-be-true soulmate/bromance, they'll eventually manage any hardship and when being apart.. will reunite somehow

I love that bit about the photoshoot! That rings true to me, I can see JY being a little detached (for whatever reason, I'm not sure shyness is right for him, reserved is better), not easily connecting to others, while ZZ is super polite and attentive to everyone. He'd definitely want to include JY, if he can. 

It's so sad that ZZ can't be around anymore at such events, supporting each other like that. ZZ is the type of person who is really lovely to have around for anyone, but particularly if you're reserved like JY. It's freaking cruel to take that away from him! (Hopefully, ZZ can be there anyway, just less officially...)

I also very much agree with how much more interesting their 'real' interaction is, rather than the one which was just for fanservice. Each time I watch JY's body language in the NetEase interview, he's so completely ZZ-orientated, from start to finish. It's an uncomfortable interview (since the MC is bad) and JY seems to find security and ease by looking at ZZ and keep touching him with his legs. ZZ mostly does the same, looking at JY when he's trying to think of an answer, turning towards him etc, it's just a little less evident. 

I guess filming Addicted made them extremely comfortable with each other physically (disregarding all delulu-theories for a moment). They have no boundaries anymore, they know each other so well. They really were like a couple, living together. Imagine moving in with someone you never met, sleeping in the same bed. I'm still not over how drastic that is. Such an arrangement would either lead to hate or love, I say. And they don't hate each other, so...

ZZ magazine interview excerpt translation:

Interviewer: What's your bigger ambition, acting or music?ZZ: Acting. Because visuallly and auditorily I will be able to give the audience a more comprehensive and direct presentation. As a singer, I realize that I'm not a super talented one. Acting has more room for me to improve. Of course I'd like to do both, but I will not return to death metal rock, for it belongs to small group of people, and only a hobby of mine.

 

So for all this criticism, I think that ZZ accept his limits and doesn't pretend to be more. I think the promotional song is great and catchy, and if you understand the lyrics, perhaps you will be more acceptive. Most of his Chinese fans think highly of the song. The style is different from his album, bc it's an OST song, and I guess will not be a part of the album.  Of course everybody has his own music taste, so maybe it's just not the kind of music you like.

As for the Thai FM performance, it's obviously an emotional day for ZZ: anger, stress, regret... And he hasn't slept much prior to this, so he's not his best self. And if you've watched the fancam, it's easy to see there's problem with his earphone the whole time.

Although ZZ played in the band in high school, he is not a professional singer, but an acting major. His voice is not that unique and his singing skills not that great, but he recognizes so. To blame the management (Enlight or FengMang)  and ask him to practice more before the release is not very realistic. So my advice is: be patient and lower your expectations.

GH gave YM a bashing(more like sexual abuse) before returning him to YQ. Seeing how YM was crying, it reminded him of how he was back in high school. At night, YQ called for a doctor to check on YM and suspects that he might be suffering from erectile dysfunction. So he gives him some medication. A week later, YM realises that his ‘son' was not functioning(I hope you guys get this) and the doctor had YQ to help him hold YM’s son while checking on him. The doctor told him that he needs to lose his virginity before he can recover as this is a mental barrier. So YQ offers to help but YM rejected him immediately. YM thought that it might be YQ behind it and thus went to check on the medication but finds nothing wrong with it.

 

In the end, YM went for match-making in hopes to lose his virginity but the doctor hired by YQ dash his hopes as he asked YM how was his erection issue in the lady’s presence. YM returned to YQ’s apartment in dismay and as YQ was trying to cheer him on, YM said he heartfelt words to YQ. In which YQ was cursing in his heart because for the times he was genuinely being nice to YM, YM calls him a liar. And just when he is truly lying to him, he shows gratitude. Which makes him unable to put his heart down for this person. And that night, the two of them shared a room on YM’s request.(Nothing happened) 

 

The next day, YM stayed with YQ for his filming but went missing at night. YM’s doctor called YQ saying that YM might have went out to find a prostitute which blew YQ’s top and abandoned his night filming. He called the number YM texted from which YM explains that he requested to sleep together so that he will not have any sexual urge. And that when he said he felt better with YQ’s presence is also because he didn’t have to face his sexual problems, pissing YQ even more. However, what YM does know is that regardless of who he goes to, his problem will not be solved. So YQ wishes him all the best.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear, it wasn't the photoshoot with Figaro, it was the Excellence Awards sponsored by Figaro, where they took a photo with Gaspard Ulliel (I literally screamed). There's the video where ZZ was all giddy and JY had his cool face on lol. They were seated together at a table (oh those were the days) and a guest working in business who happened to be a fan came and talked a bit. JY at first was reversed, yes, but eventually opened up because ZZ in the middle didn't leave him out of the conversation. They didn't know many people there (big stars, business guests) so they talked to each other. At one point, JY said he hadn't decided whether to take a role, and ZZ asked "Oh that, not yet?" like they'd talked about it before.

I'm pretty skeptical of fan accounts and rumors (like the rumor ZZ cried backstage at Thai FM) without photos or videos but this one I believe, it's very detailed and specific.

Actually that stretch of time was when they were around each other a lot, it was events/photoshoots/interviews non stop with both. I think they're a bit attracted to each other, not in a sexual way but probably more than platonic, like no I won't richard simmons you but I'll hold you and sleep if you ask no homo haha. Professionally speaking, arranging them to sleep on the same bed isn't necessary and from a Western view it even violates HR codes lol; but it worked out, oh how too well it worked out. Oh and ZZ was the one who suggested they slept together (I might misread this part, it was in only one interview and never mentioned again).

At first, I was super excited about this, thinking that it was the theme song of the upcoming movie 誰的青春不迷惘 Yesterday Once More. It was the song for promo video instead.  In any case, I'm still excited as this is the third movie on youthfulness, following the 2011 box-office record-breaker, 那些年，我們一起追的女孩 You Are The Apple Of My Eye, and 2015 hugely popular 我們的少女時代 Our Times. It is great for ZZ to be a part of a movie that is expected to be as great as its predecessors.

Your post is splendid all along. But for the analysis of the "ban" part, I have a new view.

The series was banned from viewing the car accident episode, right ?

Remember Mrs Chai Jidan said the story was more or less inspired from real events. It reminded me of a Chinese movie I saw may be three years ago about a car accident implying gilded youths killing a poor man and fleeing away. And more recently, another scandal about a boy crashing his Ferrari in a Beijing hihway. And all these young rich Party's children going to study in the US (this for a good part of the following episodes of the series, which precisely were "banned").

Imagine some of the families implied and alerted by the airing of the series, completely upset at the idea of beeing identified (by their best "friends" actually, as it comes in these spheres).

I see here the tangible reason for the "ban". But now we are very far from that, as the series has become (due to the ban) a world phenomenon.
