I have always criticised Su for being naive and Ep. 11 was her wake up call but at the end of the day, this was a girl who wanted to make soap and make others look good. She never belonged in the palace in the first place.

I think that is the point to this story. Go Ha Jin is transported back to the past to help put the history to itself. She will help Wang So become Gwangjong. That is the main reason.

But, in the process, they fall in love. They are not suppose to because their love will ultimately doomed. Because SHE WAS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE THERE.

That is why, they need 1000 years to finally meet again

their worst mistake is TO FALL IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER

This drama has been full of WS yanking HS around everywhere. And I might be reading too much into this again..... but look at that!

WS yanks HS away from his mother... but it is HS that was maintaining the grip on his hand all along afterwards..... then, he reaffirms his grip in such a reassuring fashion. Sigh... I am taking this as a sign that at least this one episode would be kind to us and the OTP. Please, drama gods, I am begging you.....

@zi4r SIGH.. I'm sighing with you as well. I love that part. The handholding part. Anything to do with So's hand is sexy as hell!

IU is freaking gorgeous! The still of So resting his head brought me back to a similar scene from Empress Ki that I loved (Ta Hwan & Sueng Nyang)

In the scene with Queen Yo harassing Soo in front of Jung, I was so disappointed with Jung for just letting it happen. He did speak up & move towards his mother but he remained behind her at all times. Where King So (love being able to say that!) enters the room & immediately puts an end to his mother's rant at Soo & places himself between them. He protects Soo. Jung just seemed to hope for the best... As indecisive as Wook... there is said it lol

I think so too - I feel like if Hae Soo didn't go back in time, the history we will know is the one where Gwangjond heartlessly killed his brothers to get the throne and maybe wasn't into the social reform that we know him for- With Ha Jin going back in time, she changed it such that it wasn't just bloodbath galore and he became aware of his social responsibilities to his people (Remember Hae Soo scolding him about how he should take responsibility for others in Episode 2). So when Ha Jin came back, the only history people knew was the one with a better view of Gwangjong's rule - poor girl, though - Tortured, heartbroken

Just finished watching ep 16. My gosh, Eun and his wife's death scene and the song that played during the scene was soooo sad. Literally, these two poor things didn't have any desire to get the throne or had any hidden agenda to dethrone anyone. Heartbreaking scene, for sure.

Turns out our prediction is correct, Hae Soo was the last person that saw wang yo and held the important information about his last decree to whom he would abdicates the throne to. IF he really did gave it to wang so, I could imagine the heartbreaking pain he felt in his last breath to undeniably realized his mother true intentions, how foolish of him to think that at least his mother still love him even just a bit after all the sacrifices he made for her, when in reality she was never truly care about his well-being. He was nothing but a tool for her own ambitions. Even in his sickbed and dying moments, all her mother could think about was jung! He felt deceived and betrayed by his mother, he might gave it to wang so out of spite. Though with the long list of evil deeds he committed so far, it serves him right to suffer in his last moment, but I still find it pitiful.

I wonder whether this scene happen before or after the coronation ceremony. Judging from his kingly attires, it should be after, and he is already their king at this point. But there's something off with the way evil queen and wang jung addressed him, they still treat him as wangja not respect him as their paeha. I know they both still stuck in denial phase, but that just a stupid move from them. It is unacceptable treatment for a king that put them at risk to be punish accordingly. Maybe wang so's words to his mother that get her stutter in response is probably on the same sentiment? He coldly put them back to their position and subtly remind them his standing that their fate relies completely in his good grace right now so don't provoke him?! If not for the decree the palace should be covered with brothers' and nephews' blood by now. He probably said bitterly that he is also her son, technically her position as queen dowager did not change, so why she should feel threaten and resist to accept the royal decree. But then her mother said never call her that title because she was never consider him his son?

Gosh...I wish my korean vocabulary is rich enough to understand every words and nuances in that scenes.. Hopefully some korean friends in this thread could give a correct translation?

I read somewhere that it hasn't happened yet since all the kissing scenes' clothes have been different. Hae Soo is touching Wang So's shoulders here, and Soo's clothes seem to be black.
