He kinda indirectly confessed his feeling to her at the shipwreck because his feeling for her is still there and he wanted her to know. She asked him "Have you being bewitched by beautiful thing before?" He replied "You should know". I'm pretty sure she does. And eventhough she said she's not curious about his thoughts, she does based on that question alone. I melted away with their screen presence. Such a cute (child-like) couple at times and yet they are both leaders of their own teams.

I saw the ratings when I got home and it was insane! The last time a drama went well over 20% was Yong Pal and that was months ago! DoTS managed it within 3 episodes too! It's too amazing I screamed in joy XD.

I really enjoyed this episode. There are so many smaller details and breathtakingly beautiful shots with interesting angles. They just show the quality of a pre-produced drama. I really hope that with DoTS success the Korean drama industry could embrace a pre-produce mode instead of changing the storyline midway and messing everything up. I think DoTS may be the start of a new age!

 

Thoughts about today's episode:

As usual, the chemistry between Song Song couple is amazing...I'm glad that Shi Jin's take on a more mature side of his character as a soldier trying to protect Mo Yeon and all the villagers living in Uruk. I'm glad that their relationship is not at all cliche...both of them talk like adults - no hiding your feelings/disagreements just because you are in love/attracted to that person. I think the two of them will have to work out their differences/flaws in Uruk and built a mature, beautiful bond that could stand the test of time and tragic happenings like the deaths and violence we would see in later episodes

A totally swoon worthy Shi Jin in shades. He looks so good in them I can't help but fangirl  I really hope I didn't look like a crazy person to other people when I was watching the raw and trying to contain my squeals of excitement and joy.

I really enjoyed this moment between them as well. So glad he didn't ignore her just because they broke up. The romantic tension here is off the charts. Both of them still looked at each other with those eyes that just speak of the attraction between them. I'm surprised they didn't stick together like magnets  I admire their self control.

Shi Jin being his lovable teasing self. I loved that even though Mo Yeon is a very capable and intelligent Doctor, since she doesn't have too much knowledge of military stuff she fell for Shi Jin's joke. Her tears of desperation really show how much she cared for him

Somewhat common but no less enjoyable scene. Gets me every time! Please have more skinsship with each other Song Song couple!

LOL at Dae Young being concerned with Shi Jin's love life. Really love this bromance but I think Dae Young really needs to deal with his own problems first  Come on, Myung Joo is coming!

Shi Jin's apologizes for his not so funny joke! Way to go! It's actually not that common in Kdramas that the male lead directly apologizes to the female lead! Shi Jin really a true gentleman!

The way Shi Jin looks at the flag shows how much he loved his country. Even though he's thousands of miles from home he still carried memories of his home in his heart as he carries out his duties as as a soldier. I loved the way he gently holds Mo Yeon's shoulders and turn her head toward the flag. Really powerful moment where the leads are reminded of what they came here to do.

I believe this is the expression on every girl's face whenever they see a group of shirtless, muscular, sexy men running around. Mo Yeon, if you continue looking like this you are going to get Shi Jin jealous!

LOL Mo Yeon is not one bit afraid of you Shi Jin! I can see who will dominate this relationship in the future!  I also love that Mo Yeon use her doctor skills to purposely not find where Shi Jin's vein is and give him some sting!

I really like this character. Gutsy and kind of eccentric. I wonder how she and Daniel got acquainted with Shi Jin though. I'm sure we'll get an explanation once Daniel gets back into the picture. I'm looking forward to the Yi Hwa and Daniel's relationship.

More skinsship time! Shi Jin is always so gentle with Mo Yeon...look at the way he holds her hands

The deep blue waters....simply beautiful! I really loved their moment by the shipwreck. The talk about taking a stone and returning them to its original place gave depth to both the story itself and the characters' motives.

Can we appreciate how cool Shi Jin looks here. His gaze is unwavering, filled with determination to protect Mo Yeon. It really connects back to their conversation in episode 2. Human life or orders? Which come first?

 

For Dae Young and Myung Joo, I was so happy to see their backstory through flashbacks. The obstacle that stands in their way is not a small one, and I really hope nothing happens to the two of them (I saw so many comments predicting Dae Young's death ) I mean, the two of them have already been through so much in trying to get together. You can't go and kill them in the end right? Writer Kim, please have mercy on the Guwon couple!

I can see the determination in Myung Joo's voice as she faces off with her father. She is so straightforward about what she wants. Props to Myung Joo for telling her father straight that Dae Young is the man she loves. The writer is not pulling any cliches with the character dynamics in this drama!

One picture can convey a lot. The distance in rank between Dae Young and Myung Joo is great, but I'm sure it could be surpassed with love. Angst incoming!

The look on Dae Young's face is heartbreaking. So much mixed emotions- he loved Myung Joo too much to simply let her go, yet he knew in his heart that Myung Joo may be better off marrying a wealthier person whose life is not on the line all the time. Dae Young knows he can't bring Myung Joo the security an ordinary boyfriend could. Besides, even if he wasn't a soldier, his family is not wealthy enough for him to give Myung Joo a life of comfort she's probably used to. But, even though logically, he knew he doesn't match with Myung Joo, the love he has for her shows itself in the tension in his face. Him leaving Myung Joo is not of his own volition but a command he needed to follow.

First meeting of our Guwon couple! We can see from this scene that not only is Dae Young one of the kindest guys in the army, but he's also very similar to Myung Joo, in a way. Once he'd set his eyes on a goal he will reach for it no matter what...except for the girl he loves but can't love

One of the few funny Guwon moments before it became all angsty. I can't believe she just took off her clothes right there on the car! I bet Dae Young wanted to turn his head back XD. Hope we get moments like these for our Guwon couple instead of purely sad angsty ones with the two of them staring at each other with longing.

 

 

Conclusion: Daebak episode! The best one yet, IMO. Can't wait for what's in store for us in the next one! I see more angst coming!

I assume that the result would be more serious  in term of diplomatic. Cause the patient is not normal one but President of the country and his staff denied to operate. I guessed that the operation will be successful but SJ still get detention for not complying orders. That is why I dont really buy the scene. As a commander, he should think for the whole picture. What will be in worst situation and who will take a responsibility? How serious the result could be?  May be I think too much in this case. It is just a drama, dont take it too serious. KKKK

Who said that SHK is overacting? I love her cute expression and I believe that most of us have the same feeling. Dont listen to those negative comments, SHK, Keep fighting. Your drama will be the best one of 2016!!!!

so much to say for ep 3... zakynthos island scenery is awesome.

as always their bromance are cute, i can't stop grin at SJ x DY box conversation.

funny how DY and MJ bad mouthing SJ. didn't expect that MJ will have that cute personality,also that ghost or angel concept was funny

but i don'y get it why MY suddenly turn cold and curtly after they back from the wreck.

and i have a trauma over korean drama we-can-come-back-again-to-this-place word, it's usually indicate back at sad situation either one of them dead or sick 

and one thing make me wonder.

i just saw the rating when i got home and wow! such a shocker! it's 23.4% when it's only 3 episodes airing?! just wow. i expected for the rating to keep on increasing for ep3 but i never ever expect it to increasing this much! Congrats to DOTS team..they did bring us such an amazing drama and they deserve all the love they got so far.. i really hope the story will keep on going strong and not gonna lost in some mountain! wishing all the best for DOTS! i'm also happy that there's many positive comments from K-netz praising not only the Main actor/actress but also the whole team who making things posibble for DOTS awesomeness to happen..

It will be quite interesting when Daniel will come into the picture. I think MY doesn't know this Daniel is the same guy she had a crush on ( and MJ too if I am not wrong). And I really liked Ye Hwa. She is so fierce. I read in the character description she somehow saved Daniel. They are probably together since then. 

I love our puppy Kim ki beom. He and the cute nurse would be good together.This show is so well written that even these small roles have their own charms.

POV...being a doctor KMY must show her devotion in curing her patient no matter what your belief....it shown in the last scene of of ep. 3...when she told the bodyguard that she 's not trying to change their history but as a doctor she must save the patient first.....on the other hand SJ did the same ..He disobey order in exchange to protect  their citizen(not an ordinary citizen..he fell in love to KMY) that... if something happen to that PRESIDENT they put the blame on the doctor who operate on him...THAT'S WHY HE MAKE A DECISION AND IT CAUSE HIM TO BE SUSPENDED ON HIS DUTY.

KES is reallyyy genius, even in 3rd episode i still can see YSJ and KMY stay true to their characters. Usually in kdrama otp character will change almost every few episode maybe bacause live shooting they change story according viewers demand and resulting change of kdrama character. But in episode 3 of dots i can see YSJ and KMY in urk are still the same person from episode 1 and 2. If there's any diferrence such as in KMY that because her live as she knows it change, from years of being operating doctor that gets her career nowhere to hospital star that rarely operate and actually gets her career somewhere. 

KMY as doctor is change but i can still see she still holds her values in her heart, that's why she's upset when that sponsor-daughter's doctor tell her about how she is not a doctor thay she's not operating anymore only taking care of the VIPs. But yeah she is to sassy to be told like that so she response how that sponsor-daughter's doctor is the same because she has no ability. Lol

YSJ is upset at hospital in urk because the reason they can't work is KMY and YSJ's difference in value yet, here she is in front of him as beautiful if not more still resisiting his many attempts to get close to her because their values. But she said to him herself that she is not operating anymore, she doesn't try to save life like she used to anymore. I think that's why he is upset and frustated for her continous rejection because she is changed,  her values is changed (at least he thinks she is although he doesn't realize she still holds her value in her heart) but her rejection to him not. I think that's why he throws her words back to her face. YSJ, is the real question is, why does KMY change so much? And why does despite her changing you still get rejected?

Episode 3 is the start of our OTP love quarrel. YSJ is desperate and misunderstand KMY, and KMY make a high wall from YSJ to protect her heart from being disappointed and  broken because his job will disappoint and brake her heart, she's too mature to ignore it.

Oh, i love YSJ no bullshi* personality like when they are at shipwreck and she ask him if he has been bewitched? And he answer, he is and she knows it. Hahaha! And love how straightforward YSJ when KMY ask why does the ship become rusty like that and he answer, as if he himself is the ship, that the ship is rusty like because it is in a beautiful place. Awww YSJ, do you mean you know KMY will eventually be your downfall and you don't mind anyway? Hahhaha!

Can't wait for episode 4, soompi recappers fighting! Lol

Sorry guys.  Messed up a bit with quoting. But I agree with Trust71!  This drama is really a breath of fresh air Korean drama has not seen for a long time. All these releasing 2 episodes a week is killing me....T.T Originally I wasn't attracted to SJK (only knew him from Werewolf Boy and that was a good albeit sad movie) but I love SHK! I started out by watching it purely because SHK is in it. But who can resist SJK's charms?!
