Im Siwan Transforms Into Jeon Mi Do’s Student For Cameo Appearance In “Thirty-Nine”

“Thirty-Nine” has released a sneak preview of Im Siwan’s upcoming cameo!

“Thirty-Nine” is a drama about three friends who met in their second year of high school and are now on the verge of turning 40. Son Ye Jin stars as Cha Mi Jo, the head dermatologist at a clinic in Gangnam; Jeon Mi Do stars as Jung Chan Young, an acting teacher who once dreamed of becoming an actress; and Kim Ji Hyun stars as Jang Joo Hee, a department store cosmetics manager.

Previously, Jung Chan Young was creating a bucket list for her loved ones when Cha Mi Jo asked if there was anything she wanted for herself. After much thinking, she added her wish, which was to finally muster up the courage to begin her acting career. In a flashback, it was revealed that Jung Chan Young had no choice but to become an acting teacher after getting involved in a car accident that occurred on her way to her first filming.

The newly released stills share a glimpse of Jung Chan Young on the set of her acting project. Cha Mi Jo, Jang Joo Hee and Kim Jin Seok (played by Lee Moo Saeng) visit with a snack truck to show their full support. Everyone looks excited and nervous about this new opportunity for Jung Chan Young.

The next stills share a glimpse of Im Siwan’s cameo appearance. In the drama, he will appear as Im Siwan, a top star who was once Jung Chan Young’s pupil.

Jung Chan Young and Im Siwan participate in the project as co-stars. Both of them are fully immersed in their characters, and Jung Chan Young looks especially eager and passionate as she clearly proves her accumulated acting experience. When filming is over, the two actors reunite as teacher and student, and they share a warm embrace that tugs the viewers’ hearts.

In particular, Im Siwan will showcase mixed feelings about the reunion with Jung Chan Young. On one hand, he’s happy to reunite with the teacher he’s always been grateful to, but on the other hand, he’s heartbroken to say goodbye to her.

This episode of “Thirty-Nine” on March 24.

I like him since The King in love drama. He acted so well. ❤

Sadly, haven't watched any kdrama with him since then. What drama with him I should watch next?

Thaaanks :)

@hohoemi"The King In Love" is a good drama. Try to watch "Hell is Other People" - he's with Lee Dong Wook in this drama. When you find more time, you may also try "Run On", then his latest one, which is "Tracer".   :allgoodlol:

*** Im Si-wan wrapped up his latest TV series "Tracer" on a high note. He said that it wasn't easy for him to portray such an unfamiliar role, so he looked at the script over and over again to get used to it and was finally able to nail the role. He said in an interview shortly after the finale of the series. He even met with former National Tax Service officials to familiarize himself with their daily duties and work routines. He added that the drama taught him that he needs to take on challenges in order to feel a greater sense of achievement.   :twerk2:

[PICK] The 5 Best Reality TV Shows Starring Bigtime South Korean Actors

Imagine what it would be like to see celebrities in a totally different setting from their fancy everyday city life. More and more reality TV shows are beginning to carry out their episodes revolving around big actors and actresses. Those famous stars who we get to see in mountains, seasides, or quiet hanoks would often reveal their humane side that we never expected to see from them. Perhaps it’s why Cha Tae Hyun and Jo In Sung’s Unexpected Business 2, which showcases the growth of rookie mart clerks, is gaining huge popularity among viewers. So without further ado, let’s take a look at five of the best reality TV shows that feature our all-time favorite actors.

tvN’s ‘House on Wheels

House on Wheels is about a group of celebrities inviting guests in their tiny portable home to travel around bits and parts of Korea. The show introduces beautiful hidden places in the country featuring the stars getting used to the ever-changing weather and environment. Although their place is not spacious, the hosts wish their guests to have a memorable stay at their home. The show sometimes rewards us with a hearty laugh by showing their guests being more driven than their hosts. The series aired its 3rd season just recently, starring Sung Dong Il, Kim Hee Won, Yeo Jin Goo, Im Si Wan and Gong Myung. The episode where the Reply cast members, Hyeri and Jung Eun Ji, guest appeared received an explosive response. The show also made headlines when Hotel Del Luna stars IU and P.O came to see Yeo Jin Goo in his cute mobile house.

*** It's confirmed that Im Siwan and AOA Seolhyun are teaming up for the first time in a new K-drama "I Don't Feel Like Doing Anything" under StudioGenie, which is confirmed to be released on November.  I'm happy that after "Tracer" he is already booked for another series this year. The drama depicts the story of a 28-year-old lady who declares one summer that she will take a break from work and everything she's been busy within her life.   :Fist1:
