JANG KEUN SUK AS LEE CHANG-HWI IN THE DRAMA "HONG GIL DONG"

Lee Chang-hwi also has arrived in Korea from China at the beginning of the series. He seems cold and calculating, as he also has a dark past in which his older brother, the current king of Joseon, tried to murder him. Chang-hwi is planning a revolution, in which he tries to overthrow the king and takes his place as, he believes, the rightful king of Joseon. He coincidentally bumps into both Gil-dong and Yi-nok. Both Gil-dong and Yi-nok help Chang-hwi realize what it takes to become a good king. He forges an alliance with Gil-dong and develops feelings for Yi-nok.

As the question of rightful succession comes into play, Gil-dong and Yi-nok are forced to take sides, all the while having to deal with their own personal problems: their love, Gil-dong with his father issues, Yi-nok with her murdered parents and their revenge.



IU as Kim Pil Suk

Kim Pil-suk is main character of Dream High 1. Kim Pil-Suk is played by the young actress Lee Ji-Eun. Kim Pil-suk first appears as a girl wearing a sushi mascot costume during the auditions. She is a girl with a beautiful voice and perfect pitch but is overweight. She likes to use her pink Guitar.

Kim Pll-Suk is madly inlove with Jason. at first she always give candies to Jason's locker. She is determined to lose weight for she thinks that Jason will also love her is she lose weight which she became. She became Jason's girlfriend at the end. She was jealous when Jason called someone (Julia his sister), and saying "I love you" and "I miss you", at  the same time Jason was jealous whenever she meets Song Sam Dong.

As personality, Jang Keun Suk has a big difference with most of Korean actors

IU confirmed for the lead role on upcoming drama, "Pretty Man"

Songstress IU is confirmed to play the female lead role on upcoming drama, "Pretty Man." 

On October 22nd, a press release confirmed that after recent discussions, IU will play the female heroine on "Pretty Man," alongside Jang Geunsuk and Lee Jangwoo. She will be playing the role of Kim Botong, an ordinary poor girl who has a big liking for JangGeunsuk's character. 

"Pretty Man" is a drama based on a comic book series by Chon Kyeyoung. It is a story about the prettiest man, who gains a lot of opportunities and money with his appearance. The drama is scheduled to start airing on November 20th after "Secrets."

IU has now been confirmed for her next production,'Pretty Man', meaning she'll be starring alongside the already confirmed Jang Geun Suk in the new KBS 2TV drama.

As mentioned before, IU will be taking on the role of Kim Bo Tong. Like her name which means 'ordinary' or 'average' in Korean, the character is an ordinary girl but has a lovable charm. She also crushes on the 'pretty man', Dok Go Ma Te (Jang Geun Suk), whom she fell in love with at first sight during middle school. Everything she does is for him, and she'll do all that she can to protect her love for him with her 4D ways. Reportedly, she'll find herself in a love triangle with him as well as Lee Jang Woo's character Choi David.

'Pretty Man' is a story about a man with a pretty face who manages to capture the hearts of females easily, and through them, he gains not only riches and power, but also later learns what's truly important in life.

The drama is set to premiere following 'Secrets' so you'll be seeing IU back on the small screen again soon! (allkpop)
