@celyw thank you for the casts' update, but Lee Sang Yeob is not Kang Chi's friend, he's been cast in Gu Family Book's competing drama "Jang Ok Jung, Lives in Love
Finally, Script Reading Pictures! Thank you, alysanne. Seung Gi looks younger here, can't wait to see his on-screen chemistry with Suzy.
More casting news from dramabeans

  • We know that Lee Yeon-hee was previously cast in a cameo role for Gu Family Book, but now we know why: She plays Lee Seung-gi’s mother. Okay, this sounds sweet, and much better than I was fearing (she has very little draw for me as a romantic lead, but I’d like to see her working other emotional angles in her acting). Her character loses her father when he’s accused of treason and made a political scapegoat, after which she becomes a gisaeng. She escapes her father’s killer with the help of a man she then falls in love with, later giving birth to our hero. Hm, if she’s a human character, then isDad the gumiho? Nice twist on the ole gumiho lore. [source: Asiae]
  • Lee Sung-jae (Rascal Sons, A Wife’s Credentials) will be playing that archvillain in Gu Family Book, set to make lives miserable all around. He plays a man born into poverty who rises through the military ranks and is now an ambitious man who tramples others to further his own goals. Will his formidable political powers hold up against our half-gumiho hero’s mystical powers? More importantly, will our hero have any powers? [source: Review Star]

Try96 says Lee Yoo Bi aka Choco from Nice Guy is in the cast.  First love?  She's cute and a decent actor, especially for one so new and another singer.  I hope they all sing for the OST.
Seunggi does look younger, but he usually does when he's not dressed like an ajusshi.  :)  He and Suzy look good together.  Can't wait to see their chemistry.

Yup, I agree, SG does look younger. Probably because this is a casual setting, so no make-up and and stage/camera styling?  I think they purposefully made him look a little more mature in TK2H so he can look distinguished as a prince/king and he can match up with Ha Ji Won...not that she looks old, ever! LOL.  They'll probably make sure his styling is sort of age-appropriate here so that he can match up with Suzy.

I've seen a lot of different title for this drama (in english). Which one is the closest to the meaning? I prefer Gu Family Book (GFB) because it much shorter to write...LOL

@mei_sk: I think the closest translation is The Gu Family Book.  This is also the translation that LSG mentioned in an interview before.  Apparently, the "Nine Houses" translation is also being used because Gu = Nine.  But the "Medical Novel" thing is definitely nowhere close.
