And as promised, more news!  Here's the first look at Our Bachelors' first veggie shop in Donggyo-dong, all kitted out and ready for opening!  (The twin weather vanes on top add a nice homey touch, dontcha think?)  According to the news reports, the producers are hoping to make this film shoot as realistic as possible, and have enlisted the help of several organic farms to provide the produce and other products the boys will attempt to sell and stay afloat for the six months they've been alloted.

The PD-nim explained that it was not difficult at all working with the various local and provincial governments to acquire the products needed, as it turns out to be wonderful publicity for each of the vendors featured in the Show (like what they did with the 'ugly apples' featured in Episode 12).  I'm wondering if they're going to keep this set as a REAL Chonggakne store after the filming wraps -- talk about a tourist destination!!  I'd visit that place in a heartbeat!!

EPISODE 13 MINI-CAP, Part 1:

And we're right back where we left off in Episode 12, with Crazy-Mom-to-Be ripping Ga-on a new one for seeing that bastard Tae-yang and keeping it a secret from her.  Ga-on tells her that Tae-yang doesn't know her real identity right now, and pleads with her to just leave him be.  Of course, Crazy-Mom-to-Be is more worried about having her secrets come out in the open -- he's already met with Fake Dad, fer chrissakes -- and demands that Ga-on stop seeing him and find a way to kick him out of his store.  Ga-on says she can't do that... that has been Tae-yang's dream all his life.  Crazy Mom-to-Be gets up and slaps her, screaming at her the whole time and threatening to take care of Tae-yang once and for all because he knows all their family secrets.  Ga-on pleads with her that it's not what it seems, but it falls on deaf ears and that if Ga-on can't take care of things, then she's going to do unspeakable things to that bachelor.  Then Crazy-Mom-to-Be decides to get all maternal all of a sudden and tries to wipe away Ga-on's tears, as she says she needs to count on Ga-on now.

Next we see Tae-yang at the gosiwon, going through some cell phone pictures of the construction at his store-to-be with a big smile on his face.  He puts up the phone to send Ga-on a video message, which we see her watching in the relative safety of her secret room.  He tells her that he's scared about waking up in the morning to find out that getting his own store has all been a dream -- he's been pinching his cheeks all night.  Tell him everything will be fine, and then he can sleep peacefully.  With tears running down her cheeks, she asks Tae-yang what to do... help her figure out what to do....

Back at the store under construction, Tae-yang is hanging the Fresh Men sign on the back of the truck, having collected it again from the Tosa.  The hyungs all applaud and Ho-jae asks what powers of persuasion Tae-yang used to get the vehicle returned.  Chan-sol says it's because they're doing so well now that the Tosa wants to ride their coattails.  We flashback to Tae-yang bringing a box of stomach medicine to the Tosa, because now that Tae-yang has his own store, that his tummy might hurt a bit.  Finally Tae-yang is successful in making the Tosa laugh, but he wonders why Tosa requested Tae-yang to visit the Market today?  They both sit and the Tosa pulls a set of keys out of his pocket... to the truck he confiscated the week prior!  Tosa tells him that he's going to need a truck if Tae-yang is to get his products from his Market, to which Tae-yang asks if he's been reinstated to trade there?  Tae-yang asks him why the sudden change of heart, as the Tosa tells him he may need Tae-yang more in the future.  As Tae-yang falls all over himself thanking him, the Tosa tells him that the time will come when Tae-yang will finally learn who it was that insisted on him being kicked out of the Market.

Flashback over, Tae-yang complains to the boys that they don't have the time to waste standing around.  They hop off the truck and go inside the store to start working.  To a montage of the Chonggakne Yachaegage March, we see them unfurling a banner saying that they open for business on 1 February 2012 (hee!), see them mopping the floors with the pregnant Jung-ah carrying buckets of water to them (which the boys grab from her as Chan-sol scolds her for the heavy lifting), Tae-yang attempting to explain to Tae-in that she can't erase the board and write things her way (and Tae-in throwing a hissy fit when she doesn't agree) and then goes over to Jung-ah to help wipe down the display racks... lots of stuff to do before they open!

Next we see Ga-on back at the Market, but not dressed to work.  She's giving her notice to the two Goofy Guys!  Because their little Underling has grown on them, they ask her to reconsider quitting.  As she thanks them profusely for their assistance and she wanted to learn more from her sunbaes, she says that some personal issues have come up that keep her from staying there.   and gets ready to leave, they tell her that she can hold her head high as an auctioneer at the New Springs Auction Market (but who's going to change their light bulbs in the ceiling now?)  As she departs, the Goofy Guys get all teary-eyed and let out a loud aissssssh...

Ga-on returns to her room and pulls her work jacket out of her bag.  She flashes back to Crazy Mom-to-Be telling her to quit her job at the Market in order for her to not run into Tae-yang any longer.  She gets a message from Tae-yang with a picture of the banner announcing their Grand Opening and asking "don't we look cool?," which makes her smile for a few seconds.  Ga-on then gets a phone call, and when she says "it's me," we fade to...

Our hyungs pasting up flyers on light poles and placing welcome bags with green onions on the doorsteps of the neighborhood.  Chan-sol, Woo-bong and Ho-jae enter a local restaurant to pass out a welcome bag and ask them to take good care of them, but is met with some resistance from the owners, crabbing at them about how they don't need the Mok Yeong vegetable store in their neighborhood.  Chan-sol gets snippy with the owner's comments, as the other two drag him out of there while apologizing profusely.  They come across another group of vendors in the street, and as they approach with greetings, they just turn around and walk away.  The boys are wondering what the heck is going on...

Back at the store, Tae-yang and Ki-young (no more Scruffy Guy, folks) are polishing fruits, as Tae-yang sees the others return with their heads down and depressed.  Tae-yang runs out to find out what happened, when Chan-sol says that the neighborhood is not welcoming them nor the new store at all.  Woo-bong tells them that they have the reputation of being rich brats who got their own store for free.

It was Seul-woo who was calling Ga-on, so we see them meeting at the same cafe again, when Ga-on asks how his mother is holding up.  Seul-woo explains that there wasn't much the lawyers could do and she's going to turn herself in to the prosecutors tomorrow.  Seul-woo then asks Ga-on for another favor... could she be his girlfriend, just for today?  We then see Imo in her office crying, when there is a knock at the door.  As she collects herself, it's Seul-woo and Ga-on arriving.  Imo is quite surprised to see Ga-on there, as Seul-woo explains that he finally seduced her as Imo requested.

Seul-woo says now that Ga-on has been seduced, he can get his Monster back, right?  Imo calls him a brat and tells him to go earn the money to buy it back himself.  When he protests that wasn't their deal, Imo pushes him aside and properly greets Ga-on.  She lays it on thick about how Seul-woo chased her into submission.  But Seul-woo wants to know from Imo what it is that she likes so much about Ga-on?  Imo says that Ga-on has everything that Seul-woo doesn't have.  (Ooooh BURN!)  When Imo starts listing several qualities, Seul-woo complains loudly for her to stop... and then asks if Imo is reassured now, to which she is.  She can now go into jail without having to worry about Seul-woo anymore.

It's nighttime now at the Store, and Tae-yang turns on the illuminated sign.  The hyungs head upstairs to see that basically a dorm has been set up for them by Jung-ah as an Opening Gift.  They thank her profusely and go over to the beds they've picked to test them out.  (And all my fantasy dreams have come true -- THANK YOU WRITERS!!!)  Chan-sol is particularly touched by what she's done for the boys, and as Jung-ah tells the boys she's still going to keep watching everyday to make sure Chan-sol does well, he opens his mouth to say something... but she grabs his hand and looks at him with a "don't you dare" stare.

PLOT POINT:

HOLY CRAP I JUST FIGURED IT OUT!!  Remember the reason why Chan-sol was expelled from Idol School?  He got a girl pregnant... would Jung-ah be the one, but they're posing as brother-and-sister to not have any of the other hyungs look down on him?!?

Ho-jae says that he's the only one that can't stay at the dorm, because if his mom finds out he's selling vegetables, she's gonna collapse from the stress.  So don't worry about him commuting back-and-forth; just worry about how to make the Store a success in 6 months.

Later on, we see Tae-yang and Woo-bong downstairs polishing up more fruits, when Tae-yang tells him that opening a veggie stand has been his whole goal in life so he can just keep on with that, but it's different for him and Ho-jae and Chan-sol.  What the heck are they thinking about on the eve of their Grand Opening?  Woo-bong hopes that if Tae-yang succeeds at this Store, that their lives will all be different too.  But after thinking that he's a loser by working hard, he now feels proud when he looks at the store... and isn't that enough?  (And poor Changwook-ssi looks so exhausted in this shot that my heart hurt watching him).

Seul-woo and Ga-on walk out to his car, where Seul-woo offers to drive her home, because he needs to give his car up the next day.  (Right across the street is a marquee for the Cafe Stanford Buffet, which gave me a bit of a snicker since I live so close to Stanford University.)  She gets in his car, as Seul-woo starts tearing up and apologizing, but Ga-on says it's okay and she understands that he held back quite well in front of his mother.  When Seul-woo crabs that he's way too childish, Ga-on disagrees and says he's way more mature than she'll ever be.  He made his mom smile until they parted, and she has never learned to do that yet.  Seul-woo says the only thing he wanted to do for Imo in the end was to make her smile.  Ga-on wonders out loud if she can send him away like an adult too... which leaves Seul-woo with a hunh? look on his face.

Tae-yang is upstairs at the store, putting together a nice little fruits box for Ga-on, with a love note on top saying she is his first regular customer.  He says that he's sure she will appreciate this present from her boyfriend...

[Commercial Break #1]

Tae-yang in his truck arriving near Ga-on's neighborhood.  He calls Ga-on and leaves a message that he's on his way to see her, so please wait for him.  Tae-yang enters a conbini and grabs two coffees out of the rack, when we see Secretary Yang enter as well.  Yang's face goes all white when he sees Tae-yang, and runs back to the car to tell Crazy-Mom-to-Be that he saw Ga-on's chingu inside.  When she asks who, he says the guy she wanted kicked out of the Market!  She orders him to take off right away, but as we see Tae-yang leave the conbini with coffees in hand, he looks up and sees her face in the car window.  OH POOPIE!!!  Tae-yang does the slow burn of recognition, and flashes back to when Crazy Mom told Tae-yang to never see Jin-shim ever again for punishment of Ga-on's death.  He drops the coffees and takes off running after the car.  When Secretary Yang tells Crazy Mom-to-Be that he's following them, she orders Yang to lose him.

In the meantime, Ga-on comes out to meet Tae-yang by his truck.  She looks around, and not finding him there, looks inside the front seat where she sees the fruits box and the note for her on top.

Tae-yang catches up to the car at a stoplight, and as they attempt to speed away on a right-turn arrow, a group of schoolkids walk in front of the car, basically pinning them in.  Tae-yang starts banging on the window for the ajumma to open up -- it's Han Tae Yang, remember me, Jin-shim's friend?  As Yang punches the gas, Tae-yang runs in front of the car and stops them from leaving.  Crazy Mom-to-Be gets out of the car and they glare at each other in the freezing cold.

Ga-on is still waiting by the truck, as she pulls out her phone to call Tae-yang.  Crazy Mom-to-Be and Tae-yang are at a cafe, where she's giving him hell for suddenly appearing in front of her again after all this time.  Tae-yang apologises and asks if she is doing well?  Crazy Mom asks him how dare he ask how she's doing and rebuffs his apologies because he's living quite well these days.  Crazy Mom-to-Be flashes back to Ga-on telling her that Tae-yang doesn't know she's really Jin-shim in disguise, and cannot even fathom that she's Ga-on at all.  When she asks him what ever happened to Jin-shim, Tae-yang tells her he doesn't know because she disappeared, didn't Crazy Mom know that?  Crazy Mom said when Ga-on died, she left that town and never looked back.  Tae-yang says that since Crazy left around the same time Jin-shim disappeared, maybe that Jin-shim had gone with Crazy Mom.  She smirks and asks him how he came up with that preposterous idea?  Tae-yang mentions that Jin-shim really liked Crazy Mom, and he thought Crazy Mom liked Jin-shim as well.  When she yells that she wasn't in a frame of mind to even think about Jin-shim, Crazy throws down the hammer -- if Jin-shim suddenly appeared again, what would he do?  Tae-yang looks up and says he has to meet her, so if Crazy Mom happens to see Jin-shim in the future, would she mind telling her that Tae-yang is waiting for her?  Crazy Mom has had enough, and tells Tae-yang that if she was Jin-shim, she wouldn't be glad to see Tae-yang at all, because he ruined her life by not letting Jin-shim go off and live with Ga-on's family.  And by the way, if Tae-yang ever runs into Crazy Mom again, act like he doesn't even know her.  She gets up to leave with Tae-yang staying behind at the cafe...

When Crazy Mom-to-Be returns to the car, she tells herself to calm down and only think about the baby.  Secretary Yang asks Crazy who this Jin-shim is that Tae-yang keeps talking about, and Crazy Mom-to-Be tells him to shut the hell up unless he wants to see his family living on the streets.  BEEEYOTCH!!

Tae-yang finally arrives back at the truck to find Ga-on there.  He apologizes for being late, and when Ga-on asks what happened, he says that he ran into someone he knew.  She sees that he's in obvious pain, and again asks who did he meet?  He looks up, and when she asks again, he doesn't answer.  Finally Ga-on puts two-and-two together...  (Oh crap, I see where this is headed now...)

Gotta stop here.  See you in Part 2!

EPISODE 13 MINI-CAP, Part 2:

Imo and Seul-woo outside the local jail, as apparently Imo is going into  the slammer as part of a plea bargain.  Imo keeps apologising, as  Seul-woo is beside himself and says Imo has nothing to be sorry about, as Imo attempts to put on the brave face when she says she'll be fine -- but be careful, because that girl (meaning Ga-on) family is not going to accept him.  Seul-woo crabs that she needs to stop saying she's sorry.  They part ways, but then he turns around to run into her arms sobbing.   Dan-bi comes up running to see Imo off before she's taken inside, as Seul-woo and Imo stand there hugging and crying.  After she's taken inside, Dan-bi and Seul-woo are sitting on the steps talking, as she attempts to get him to leave now.  Seul-woo says he's been no help to his mother as evidenced by her having to go to jail.  Dan-bi says everything will be fine but he has to be strong now, right?

Back out at the truck, Tae-yang and Ga-on are talking.  He reminds her of his friend Ga-on that has the same name as her, but died.  Well, Tae-yang ran into her mother today, as Ga-on sits there stunned.  Tae-yang says he feels so horrible making her feel bad again by appearing in front of her again.  Tae-yang has repeated over and over how he would apologize if he ever saw Ga-on's mom again.  He asks Ga-on what if Jin-shim were to come back into his life?  When she says really?, he replies that he's always wondered what he would do but also keeps thinking that something bad has happened to Jin-shim... that maybe she can't contact anyone?  Ga-on gets snippy and reminds him that he has a lot to do with the store opening the next day.  He should go and deal with that, as she stomps off leaving him teary-eyed on the back of the truck.

As Tae-yang returns later to the Store, he sees the fruits gift box and realizes that he forgot to give it to Ga-on.  We see Ga-on sitting on the stairs to her house, thinking about their conversation.

Crazy Mom-to-Be is waiting for Ga-on to return home by pacing up a storm in her bedroom.  When Ga-on enters the room, Crazy Mom-to-Be demands to know if she met Tae-yang earlier, to which Ga-on could only respond with an "I'm sorry."  It was her idea to meet; Tae-yang didn't do anything wrong.  Crazy Mom says that she needs to take matters into her own hands now.  Then Ga-on drops to her knees begging Crazy Mom-to-Be to leave Tae-yang alone.  Crazy Mom-to-Be sinks into a side chair and orders Ga-on to leave her room.  She can't believe what Ga-on just told her, and reminds her that doesn't she think about her Fake Dad at all?  Crazy orders her out of the room and breaks down in tears.

[Commercial Break #2]

Back at the Store, it's Opening Day!!  Lots of hustle and bustle as Tae-yang and Woo-bong throw open the windows (while the Chonggakne Yachaegage March plays in the background.  The hyungs all line up in front of Tae-yang, and then Scruffy Guy... erm, I mean, Ki-young comes out all shaven and designer haircut and everything.  RAWR!!  Another montage of the Three Stooges going through the neighborhood around the Store taping up flyers and passing out welcome bags containing green onions.  We then see Tae-yang selling some strawberries and Woo-bong waxing poetic about an onion.  Everyone in the Store looks happy to be there, and as some residents walk by with welcome bags in their hands past Chan-sol and Ho-jae, and they look happy.

An ajushii pops in and the boys hand him a green onion bag.  Tae-yang explains the concept that when you buy green onions in bulk, they tend to go bad fast.  So every time that someone visits their store, they will always get a free green onion.  When an ajumma complains that isn't this enticement for them to buy other things from their store, Woo-bong pipes up and says even if you're there to browse, you'll always get a free green onion... and be treated well by the Bachelors!  Seems that the green onion idea was Ho-jae's as he claims to be a Marketing Genius.  Chan-sol claims it was his pretty face that brings in the customers, as Ho-jae waves a green onion in his face and tells him to give it a rest.

(Note:  This part of the storyline is actually true, and taken directly from the Lee Young Suk biography.  He claimed the only way to get ahead in such a cutthroat business was to make himself stand out from other vegetable markets in the area by offering an item for free that every housewife uses day in and out.)

We return to Dan-bi's apartment, where Seul-woo is on the couch coughing and feverish.  Dan-bi is wiping his brow with a wet cloth, as Tae-in watches nearby.  Tae-in asks if wouldn't it be better if Seul-woo went to the hospital, as Dan-bi tells her he's not that sick... he's just sick in the heart.  Tae-in asks what will happen next with the house up for sale, Imo in jail and Seul-woo left to basically pick up the pieces?  Dan-bi says she doesn't know, and says it may be best to wait until Seul-woo gets his strength back again.  As Dan-bi gets up with the water basin to go refill it, Tae-in sits besides Seul-woo and takes his hand.

Back at the Store again, some ajusshi storms in with a carton of oranges, dumps them on the floor and yells at Our Boys that they sold him a rotten case of fruits!!  When Tae-yang comes over to investigate and asks who sold him the fruits, Woo-bong says it was him and that he pulled the carton out of the storage room.  When Tae-yang offers to replace the oranges with another carton, the ajusshi gets even more steamed and says to forget it and he wants a refund.  When the boys go back to the storage room to check the stock, they see that ALL the produce they've been provided is either rotten or not of the best quality.

(Note:  This is a true fact stated in the Chonggakne CEO's biography, as he ran up against this situation time and time again.  The process is called "sopak," when good-looking produce is wrapped around really bad produce just to get rid of their stock quickly... or to punish someone instead, as was the situation with our Bachelors.  Usually this process is rampant in the more dubious farmers' markets around Korea, but major kudos to the PD-nim for bringing this detail to light.)

The hyungs then go back to the Market where they bought their stock and complains to the ahjumma running that area.  She tells them to get basically get lost.  When they confront another of the vendors where they received rotten produce, they're all thrown out on their butts with produce flying all around.  Ki-young wants to go after them, but Tae-yang stops and calms him down.

Woo-bong then goes to apologize to the ajusshi that dumped the bad oranges with a large bag of good oranges, but the ajusshi refuses them outright and pushes Woo-bong into the street, oranges flying everywhere!  As he picks up and brushes off the oranges, a hand extends one of the oranges to Woo-bong.  He looks up, and while tinkly-type fairy music plays in the background, sees a pretty girl face staring back at him.  (This would be Seo, as played by Kang Ye Sol -- you might remember her as her character Lee-dan from "My Princess.")  Woo-bong takes one look at her, and he's in love!!  (More tinkly music confirms that...)

Later that evening, we see the hyungs back at the Market as the (fake) fog arises around them.  They all line up and pull out box cutters... then like the Seven Samurai (minus Two), they walk in a straight line to the vendors to pick up their produce for the day... but this time, they're not taking ANYTHING without inspecting it first!!  (Hence, the knives.)  When Tae-yang cuts open the box of romaine that is designated for their store, he finds it in varying states of decay.  When he refuses to take it and demands a better shipment, the ahjumma throws a bucket of water in his face!  Ki-young is inspecting the case of grapefruit that he's given -- same deal.  When he pushes it back to refuse delivery, he gets a punch in the face for his efforts!  Ho-jae refuses his watercress shipment, and get pushed into a pallet-load of veggies.  Chan-sol refuses his ugly apples, and gets chased out of the Market by an ahjumma wielding a flyswatter (hunh?).  Woo-bong refuses the shipment of mandarins, and he gets salt (!!!) thrown on him!!!  Basically this is the treatment they get due to opening a Mok Yeong Group store and forcing the Market (which has been there longer) to lose long-time business...

As the boys return to the Store Dorm, all depressed and wet and beat up, the hyungs wonder if it's all worth going through, as Tae-yang says he's been through worse.  The boys are almost at the end of their rope and head upstairs to get some sleep, as Tae-yang joins them with tears forming in his eyes.

Back to the Crazy Hotel, where Crazy Mom-to-Be is in bed resting.  Ga-on has arrived back home and comes in to say goodnight and not to worry -- that she will never see Tae-yang again.  Mom smirks into her pillow.

The next morning, Ga-on goes to the Store but finds it not open for business yet.  As she turns to leave, she hears Tae-yang calling out her name as he and the others return from another market with the day's produce.  Finally Tae-yang introduces her to the hyungs as his GIRLFRIEND, and the boys take that opportunity to tease him about it.  Tae-yang attempts to take Ga-on on a tour of the Store and dorm, as the boys follow them and stare.  Tae-yang attempts to wave them off, as Ki-young pulls the sliding glass doors shut and nods to leave them alone.  As Ga-on looks around, she sees the fruits gift box sitting next to Tae-yang's lunchbox on the counter and gets a pang of regret.

Dan-bi and Tae-in are at the grocery store picking up provisions, when across the way she sees Fake Dad and flashes back to the incident at the orphanage on Christmas Day and recognizes him as the guy who was carrying Crazy Mom out after her little nervous breakdown.  Tae-in asks Dan-bi who that man is, and when Dan-bi says he's the head of Mok Yeong Group and Ga-on's father, she goes over and confirms that with one of the workers.  Tae-in starts across the room in his direction...

As Tae-yang and Ga-on are sitting at the kitchen table talking, she gets a phone call from Seul-woo that she decides not to pick up.  It rings again and as she answers, hears dead air on the other end.  On the third time it rings, Tae-yang takes the phone from her and answers it himself.  Seul-woo is drunk as a skunk and calls out for Ga-on to come join him.  We then see Tae-yang and Ga-on at the bus stop on their way to get Seul-woo, with Tae-yang asking her why it is her job to go get him?

Tae-in walks over to talk to Fake Dad, when she is intercepted by his assistants from coming any closer.  She explains that she only wanted to ask Mr. Mok a question about his daughter, and Fake Dad nods to let her be.  When Tae-in asks Fake Dad if Ga-on is his daughter, he replies in the affirmative and is stunned by his response.

Tae-yang and Ga-on arrive at a local dive bar to see Seul-woo slumped over the table and passed out.  Tae-yang attempts to wake him up, and then as Ga-on tries to do the same, Seul-woo finally wakes up but falls into Ga-on's arms and drunkenly calls out her name and tells her he loves her!!  Tae-yang looks on with extreme anger in his eyes... and we end Episode 13!

PREVIEW:  Ga-on tries to explain her relationship with Seul-woo to Tae-yang.  Tae-in meets up wtih Crazy Mom-to-Be.  Seul-woo visits the Sing Sing Man Store, but is dragged out by Tae-yang.  Tae-yang runs after Ga-on for an explanation, but she brushes his hand off her arm.

It was a tough decision what to put up for the Episode 13 Teaser Picture, since most of my screencaps give away major portions of plot... and then I realized that I need to share the love a bit wider around Our Hottie Boys.  So here's a non-spoliery shot of Scruffy Guy all cleaned up and transformed into... drumroll please... Jung Ki-young.  YUM!!

EPISODE 14 MINI-CAP, Part 1:

Triple Macchiato with extra cream?  Check.  Large box of kleenex nearby?  Check.  Heart about ready to be broken into a gazillion pieces?  CHECK.  Alright, let's light this candle!!

We return to the scene of Seul-woo all passed out at the dive bar.  Tae-yang attempts to awaken him, as he drunkenly calls out for Ga-on and then falls into her arms, saying he loves her. Tae-yang pulls him off of her onto the floor, as Ga-on is mortified and Tae-yang is pissed.  We see Tae-yang piggybacking Seul-woo out of there, and he angrily tells Ga-on not to touch Seul-woo.

Back at Dan-bi's, Tae-in is lost in thought, but asks about Ga-on again.  Dan-bi gets miffed why she keeps mentioning Mok Ga-on, while Tae-in asks how old Ga-on might be, realizing that Choi Ga-on would be the same age.  Dan-bi gets all pissy and tells Tae-in her brother and Ga-on are obviously dating, to which Tae-in asks if that is right?  Hmmm...

We see a half-naked Seul-woo (helloooo abs!)  finally waking up, and then rolling off the bed onto the floor -- Tae-yang has taken him back to the Bachelor Dorm to sleep it off.  He wonders where the hell he is, as he looks around the dorm and when he sees himself half-naked in the mirror, is shocked as he tries to cover himself.  (hee!)  Seul-woo looks over and sees one of the Fresh Men down jackets hanging on a chair... and puts it on as he slowly makes it down the stairs from the dorm to the Store.  Our Boys are arranging the produce for the next day's sales.  Tae-yang strides over and hands him a water bottle, as Seul-woo tries to figure out why he's there.

Tae-yang asks him if he remembered anything from the night before, as the hyungs tell him he must have really been out of it and give him a hard time about throwing up and peeing out the window, but especially over yelling out for his mommy in his sleep.  Tae-yang drags him back inside, telling Seul-woo caused the most trouble with him.  Tae-yang wants to know Seul-woo's intentions towards Ga-on when they have no ties to each other, when Seul-woo tells Tae-yang that's not true... they are tied together now because Ga-on is helping him with his recent troubles.  If Ga-on had not told Tae-yang that in the first place, he would have punched out Seul-woo, but he'll let it go for now.  But it's the last time, as Seul-woo tells him that they'll see about that.

They hyungs have their noses pressed up against the window watching them fight, as Ki-young hangs back.  Chan-sol says it sounds like Tae-yang has got himself stuck in a love triangle and they get all jealous.  Tae-yang reminds Seul-woo that Ga-on is his woman, as Seul-woo says hearts can change in an instant.  Seul-woo is not backing down, though, and they get into a huge stare-off and start walking towards each other... just as the boys fall through the front door onto the floor, which basically stops their almost-fight in its tracks.  We then see Ho-jae and Chan-sol escorting Seul-woo out the entrance and tell him that for their hospitality, Seul-woo is going to have to help them with their produce picking up tonight.

A repeat of the foggy-night scene from Episode 13, with Our Bachelor all brandishing box cutters again... this time, they drag Seul-woo out of the truck to have them join them at the Market.  And with a single AJA here they come... walking down the street... and arrive at their destination.  As the boys all walk through the Market, they're being pelted with water and veggies and such, with most of the projectiles hitting Seul-woo because he's the tallest of the bunch!  They stop and listen to Seul-woo's protests, as Woo-bong and Ki-young slap five to Tae-yang in support.

Second Mom and Dan-bi are at the Tosa's office bringing him lunch./dinner/breakfast... oh hell, I can't tell anymore what the actual time is thanks to all the jumping around.  Tosa chows down, as Second Mom asks if it's good because Dan-bi cooked it for him.  In his roundabout rough way, he says it's a little salty but thanks her.  And she thanks him in return for letting Tae-yang getting the truck back and return to the Market, which gets a harrumph from the Tosa.  Dan-bi pours Tosa some soup from her thermos, because the Tosa can never eat rice without soup.  He likey his soup...

Outside at the Market, we have the long-time vendors having a stand-off with Our Bachelors over why the vendors won't sell them their produce.  The Market Vendors call them psychos for wanting to inspect the produce first, but Tae-yang says yeah, we're psychos for not going along with the sopak (hiding the rotten stuff inside the good stuff) boxes.  Seul-woo asks what the hell Tae-yang is doing, but is shusshed by Woo-bong saying this is when Tae-yang goes in for the kill..

Tae-yang jumps on the back of a forklift, just as Second Mom and Dan-bi are leaving the Market.  With a freakin' huge wad of cash in his hand, Tae-yang tells them that the Fresh Men can pay for their outstanding produce, and promises to (1) always pay in cash; and (2) never discount their prices upon reselling them at Sing Sing Men.  Tae-yang asks who's with him -- it's a first-come, first-serve basis.  The vendors slowly raise their hands one-by-one.  Second Mom and Dan-bi witness all this, as Second Mom sees Seul-woo with the hyungs and begs off by herself, telling Dan-bi to go meet up with Seul-woo.  Dan-bi protests, but Second Mom runs off, and as Dan-bi yells out to Tae-yang in greeting, Seul-woo yells back to Dan-bi himself.  AWKWARD!!

We see our boys paying for playing -- inspecting the boxes of produce before Ho-jae turns over their cash to the vendors.  Seul-woo and Dan-bi stand off to the side watching, and then later in Dan-bi's car, they talk about what the hell it was that they just witnessed.  Seul-woo wonders how they can survive with not buying at a discount at all?  Dan-bi starts singing Tae-yang's praises for being a good businessman who can look ahead and do a bigger deal... at least that's what Tae-yang told her appa.  Seul-woo asks if she might be having a crush on Tae-yang, she agrees.  Dan-bi has something up her sleeve by asking Seul-woo to continue to hang around Tae-yang, so in a roundabout way, Tae-yang might be able to help out Seul-woo as well.  Seul-woo says he ain't having any of that.

Back at Casa de Loco, Fake Dad comes downstairs to find Crazy Mom-to-Be sewing baby clothes.  Fake Dad picks up one of the jumpers, and says that he remembers when Ga-on was that tiny a baby... and then drops the bombshell that he ran into a chingu of Ga-on's from when they were growing up at one of his grocery stores the other day.  When she asks who that might be, Fake Dad said he thinks her name was... Han Tae-in.  DUN DUN DUNNNN!!!  Crazy Mom-to-Be drops her sewing and just stares at him.  Fake Dad would love to talk to Tae-in again sometime to hear how Ga-on was while they were both growing up.

Crazy Mom-to-Be drags Ga-on into her room and grills her about Fake Dad meeting Tae-in, to which Ga-on is stunned and says she hasn't seen Tae-in at all.  When Ga-on asks her what she's going to do, Crazy Mom-to-Be says she is going to take care of this once and for all, and because Ga-on is such a softie, orders her to stay out of it.

Back at the Fresh Men Store, we see a montage of produce just flying off the shelves, now that they've received carte blanche status from the vendors at the Market.  The neighborhood ahjummas all come over to flirt with Tae-yang as they pay for their purchases.  After a rousing chant of "If anything the Fresh Men sells you isn't fresh... then we won't get married!! Thank you for your purchases!", we then see Dan-bi and Tae-in in the Store Kitchen.  Dan-bi is making a salad with romaine, chili peppers, vinaigrette, sesame seeds... oops, sorry for drooling all over my keyboard there.  When they think they've finished, Dan-bi looks around and says there's something missing... when Ho-jae shyly enters the kitchen to hand her a bowl of strawberries, as a small halo of light forms around his head.  (LOL LOL LOL inside joke for those who will get it!)  Tae-in assembles a salad with strawberries as the garnish... and we have the title picture from the credits right there!

The hyungs are setting out the two salads for tasting purposes to showcase their produce for sale.  The three cutest of the hyungs (Tae-yang, Ho-jae and Chan-sol) charms the ahjummas lining up to take a taste.  When the neighborhood ladies signal their approval, Tae-yang turns around and gives a thumbs-up to Tae-in and Dan-bi watching from the kitchen.  Then Ho-jae turns around and gives them a double thumbs-up!  Oh, that boy is in love... sigh.

Back in the storage room at the Store, Tae-in asks Tae-yang about Ga-on.  Tae-yang basically tells her to not treat her like her sister-in-law yet, when Tae-in asks if they are really dating and does he knows who her parents are?  When he says he does and she gasps, Tae-yang says he doesn't care who her parents are, because he only looks at Ga-on.  It's a big deal for him to like anyone else after Jin-shim disappeared, so Tae-in better know what that means.   As he walks out with a case of apples, Tae-in's phone rings.  When she picks it up and the voice on the other line asks if it is Tae-in, then says it's Ga-on's mom and don't tell her brother, but she wants to meet with her.  OH POOPIE!!  We then see Crazy Mom-to-Be in a cab on her way to the meeting destination.

Back at the Store, Dan-bi is looking around the kitchen for something.  Tae-yang catches her in a state of panic and goes in to find out what's going on.  She tells him she thinks she lost her late mom's ring that she took to wearing lately.  He tells her not to worry, that it will turn up and to think where she might have left it last.  When she flashes back to taking it off while she washed the vegetables for her tasting salad, she remembers putting it on a tray which the boys ended up filling with veggies for a delivery.  They run from store to store looking for it, searching through various delivery trays, to no avail.

As they leave the last store where a delivery took place, they walk away down the street back to the Store with Tae-yang (ever still the optimist) telling Dan-bi it will turn up soon -- he feels it will.  He then looks over to a recycling cart loaded with cardboard, and as he runs to it and rifles through the contents, he sees Dan-bi's ring underneath a stack of newspapers headed to the dump.  As he picks it up and gives it back to her, Dan-bi looks at Tae-yang gratefully... and then blushes.  At that moment, an ajusshi runs up to them to berate them for thinking about stealing his recycling cart.  As Tae-yang attempts to apologize, Dan-bi grabs his hand and pulls him away from the crazy ajusshi down the street (they're still in Hongdae, BTW) and into an alleyway to hide.  Away from the crazy man, she suddenly realizes that she has Tae-yang's hand in a death grip and slowly pulls it away, which thanking him for finding her ring.  He aw shucks away her comment and says he would have done that for anyone -- especially her for helping out at the store -- and makes his departure... with Dan-bi running after him.

Tae-in says that she’s surprised to see the ahjumma again, but that she hasn't changed one bit and recognized her right away.  Crazy Mom-to-Be says let's cut to the chase -- why was Tae-in bothering Fake Dad so much?  Tae-in says she thought it strange to find out her daughter's name was Ga-on... but the Ga-on she remembers died 12 years ago.  When Crazy spits out a so what, Tae-in said that Fake Dad was glad to meet someone from Ga-on's home town and that they should meet up.  So Tae-in drops the bombshell -- who is the girl who is living as Ga-on now, as Crazy Mom-to-Be just stares at her.

[Commercial Break #1]

We see Ga-on wandering by the Store but hanging outside, as the hyungs (minus Tae-yang) all decide that she’s so pretty and Tae-yang is so lucky.  Even Scruffy Ki-young nods in agreement.  Tae-yang runs out after changing out of his Fresh Men uniform and apologizes to his bros for taking the afternoon off and he'll be back before dinner.  The boys just wave him off and send him on his way.  Tae-yang stops in front of Ga-on and then crushes her in a big bear hug, to which the hyungs all giggle and get embarrassed at Tae-yang’s sudden show of affection.

They head over to a restaurant, where Tae-yang says he hears the pasta is really good there.  Chan-sol was the one that told him that girls like to eat pasta on a date.  (Really?  News to me.)  He also apologises for always just eating ramyun or noodles with her, as she just sits there and stares at him.  When the waitress arrives, Tae-yang says it's their first time there and he wants two of their best dishes.

And we’re back at the café with Tae-in and Crazy Mom-to-Be, where Tae-in demands to know who exactly Mok ga-on is.  Crazy tells her it's none of her freakin' business, when Tae-in tells her it so is her business, because that woman is dating her brother!  And as Tae-in pressed further, she tells Crazy that its obvious they needed to meet for a reason... why does Tae-in make Crazy so nervous, hm?  Tae-in then throws down the hammer and reminds Crazy that when she left town, someone else left town at the same time... someone who was close to Ga-on... and Crazy knows who she's talking about, right?

The pasta meals have arrived, and while Tae-yang is chowing down, Ga-on is just picking at her plate.  When Tae-yang asks if she doesn’t like the meal, she drops her hands into her lap and calls his name.  She tells Tae-yang that she's starting at her father's company next week and quit the auctioneer job.  He then tells her now that he's opened his own store, it's time for them to get serious about their relationship.  Ga-on says that won't happen... as Tae-yang stares at her, she can't do that because she is going to be the successor of the Mok Yeong Group.  And then she drops the bombshell by saying that they should not see each other any more.  She doesn't want to apologise to Tae-yang for giving him false hope that there might be something permanent in their relationship... when there isn't.

When Tae-yang asks her what the hell she’s talking about, she runs out of the restaurant, as Tae-yang chases after her and grabs her arm.  She cuts him down by saying she doesn't want to date anyone she keeps feeling sorry for... removes his hand from her arm and walks away.  Back at the Store Dorm, we see Tae-yang sitting in the dark stunned as stunned can be, as Woo-bong comes up to check in on him.  Woo-bong reports back to the hyungs downstairs that that he didn't ask what happened because it's not the right time, and then Tae-yang runs down the stairs and out the door.

Outside Ga-on’s house, Tae-yang picks up the phone to call her, but she isn’t picking up.  He stands there on the bridge to her house until the sun comes up the next morning, realizes she’s not coming back and he tears up.

This is as good a place as any to stop...  I need to mop up my own tears right now anyway.  See you in Part 2!

EPISODE 14 MINI-CAP, Part 2:

Dan-bi is getting dressed and spots her late mom’s ring on her finger in  the mirror, as she flashes back to Tae-yang finding it for her (and then flashing that signature smile at her).  She smiles, as we pan away to Tae-in sitting in a chair thinking about the conversation she had with Crazy Mom-to-Be earlier that day… and then the scene that we didn’t  see earlier, when Tae-in gets up to walk out after Crazy Mom-to-Be threatened her and Tae-yang.  Even though Tae-in doesn't have a shred of evidence, all she has to do is tell Fake Dad that Ga-on is dead, and he'll figure out the rest.  Crazy reminds her that it was Fake Dad that got Tae-yang his store, so if she doesn't want to see that bastard of a brother on the streets, she'd better shut her piehole.  Tae-in gives it right back to her, asking if Crazy is threatening her?  And if ajumma continues to richard simmons her off, Crazy's gonna be in a world of hurt.  When Crazy asks what it is that Tae-in wants, she says she's gonna think about it... and in the meantime, don't richard simmons with her brother, because when he finds out the truth, things are gonna get ugly.  The only thing Tae-yang wants in life is Jin-shim... and he'll stop at nothing to get her back.

Crazy Mom-to-Be is contemplating Tae-in’s words herself while at the beauty salon, as Ga-on asks how her meeting went with Tae-in.  Crazy lies and says nothing much happened, but don't get mixed up with them again, okay?   Then the hairdresser walks in and asks what needs to be done there with Crazy, pretty much putting a halt to that conversation.   Crazy states that the services needed are not for her; it’s for Ga-on –  she needs a new style for her new position at the Mok Yeong Group.  We then see Ga-on in the stylist chair getting her hair snipped off short  again, as she flashes back to the time when she was still Jin-shim getting her hair chopped off to assume Ga-on’s persona.  She tears up as the stylist works her scissors.

Back at the Wacky House, Crazy and Secretary Yang are looking over some surveillance pictures he's taken of Tae-yang.  When she comes across a picture of Seul-woo, she asks what that is doing in the picture stack.  Yang tells her that he’s a chingu of Tae-yang’s.  The rest of the pictures are all of the other hyungs, and Crazy orders background checks on all of them.  So it’s obvious that Crazy has a vendetta brewing against ALL our Bachelor Boys!

[Commercial Break #2]

We see Woo-bong wandering around one of the neighborhoods, still passing out welcome bags with flyers and green onions.  He flashes back to the day before when he met Seo and she said she lives in the neighborhood.  Woo-bong gets a big poop-eating grin on his face, hoping to see her (and the tinkly fairy music plays again).   Woo-bong returns to the Store, when Ho-jae asks where the heck he’s been, Woo-bong says he was out drumming up business.  (The look on Chan-sol’s face tells us otherwise.  Hee!)  The phone rings, and Ho-jae picks it up… a lady on the other end asks for a home delivery that one of the bachelors promise they do, and when Ho-jae starts to apologize that she may have the wrong information, the person on the other line said that he was really tall and good-looking (!!!).  Woo-bong grabs the phone out of Ho-jae’s hands and says he’s the one she’s looking for.  Did she ask him for a veggie delivery?

We then see a montage of Woo-bong picking out various fruits and veggies to make a delivery to Seo.  Ho-jae tells him to put back the Asian pear because she only asked for vegetables.  LOL!  Chan-sol asks him where he's going, but declines to answer any questions.  Woo-bong runs out with the veggies and (eventually) arrives at Seo’s fourth-floor rooftop apartment, where she's tending to some plants in a tiny garden.  After she asks if it was too hard going up all those steps, she takes the box from Woo-bong’s hands… but not before a little skinship happens!  W00t!!  She goes inside with the veggies, while Woo-bong has a cute little gigglefest waiting for her to come back out and pointing out that there's only women's clothing on the clothesline.  (Lots of tinkly fair music now!)

Woo-bong walks back on Cloud 9 over his good fortune.  In his hand is a small camellia plant, which Seo has gifted to him in a flashback as a Grand Opening present.  As he walks back to the shop, plant in hand, he happens to glance up to see Seo looking down on him from the rooftop and waving bye-bye.  Woo-bong bows, but when he looks up again… she’s gone.  And he still has the biggest smile on his face!!  (I just LOVE to see Kwang Soo smiling like that.  Warms my heart...)

At the Mok Yeong Group Headquarters, it’s the big day that Ga-on will be joining the Company full-time.  Fake Dad walks in, with her a respective three steps behind, now sporting her "Protect the Boss" hairstyle.  Everyone bows in greeting, as she heads up to her office where the sign reads  “Marketing Manager.”  She sits down and gets straight to work.

At the end of the day, the car is there to take Fake Dad and her to lunch.   They converse about her first day so far, and then Fake Dad asks if she wants to stop by their new store.  When she asks which one, Fake Dad says it's the one that the group won in that contest.  When Ga-on doesn't respond, Fake Dad asks if it's because Tae-yang was bothering her?  At least that's what Crazy Mom told Fake Dad... and because of that, Crazy must really hate the guy.  Ga-on tells him not to think like that, and she hopes that Tae-yang doesn't get misunderstood because of Ga-on.  Fake Dad says that he really likes the guy and he's interesting.  Ga-on says that they should go together to the Store because she wants to take a look around as well...

Back at the Store, Tae-yang is staring into space as an ajumma comes in with a box of green chile peppers, complaining that they have no taste.  When  Woo-bong asks her who it was that sold the box, Tae-yang comes over as the owner and apologises, and goes back to the storeroom to replace it.  In there, Tae-yang tastes a pepper and agrees that it has no taste whatsoever, and apologises to Woo-bong for his mistake.  Woo-bong asks him why he’s so out of it – what happened with Ga-on, as Tae-yang flashes back to her removing his hand from her arm at their parting.  Tae-yang starts tearing up and proceeds to chomp down on the rest of the pepper, as Woo-bong attempts to stop him.  (Good call there -- eating a spicy pepper is a good way for Tae-yang to mask his tears at least…)  Tae-yang says he doesn’t know what happened, as Woo-bong joins him in chomping on his own chili pepper so he can join Tae-yang with tears of his own.  Ah, the bromance...

Next thing we see is Fake Dad and Ga-on arriving for an inspection of the Store.  As Fake Dad looks around, the boys look stunned as Tae-yang comes out of the storeroom and sees Ga-on standing there all corporate stiff-looking.  They stare at each other for the longest amount of time, when Tae-yang suddenly snaps out of it and goes over to her.  She formally says hello to Tae-yang (and we can visibly see him flinch), and explains that this is part of her job –  accompanying her dad on store inspections.  He formally says hello to Ga-on as the other boys are still standing there staring, finally realizing exactly who Ga-on turned out to be...  The other hyungs just watch helplessly, when Fake Dad comes over to greet Tae-yang and compliments him on the store so far.

It is absolutely painful to watch Ga-on go all jondaemal on Tae-yang, trying to keep up the false pretenses in front of Fake Dad, as she explains to him that she knew that Tae-yang’s store would do well even so soon after opening.  Then Fake Dad drops the bombshell that he will be dealing with Ga-on from now on since she's the head of Marketing, and they're going to be working together from now on.  Tae-yang looks like he's almost ready to pass out from heartbreak, when Woo-bong interrupts and says they need to put together a gift basket for the Chairman since he's visiting... and pulls Tae-yang away in time.

Tae-yang flirts with an ajumma who comes in all dressed to the nines, and when she asks if they should go on a date together, Tae-yang asks if they aren't already on a date... as the other boys just shake their heads.  Later that evening, we see Tae-yang going through the store, polishing and cleaning and sorting and everything, just to keep his mind off Ga-on.  Chan-sol watches him working away, as Tae-yang shakes his head to keep himself awake.

It's been a few days after Tae-yang and Ga-on's last meeting, when the hyungs are unloading the truck with that day's produce purchases into the storeroom.  The boys are worried that it's taking a toll on Tae-yang because he doesn't eat or sleep anymore.  Tae-yang picks up several boxes and heads inside, as the other boys hang back and worry about him.  Woo-bong says just let him be to figure things out.  As the boys enter the house with their own boxes, Woo-bong sees Tae-yang passed out on the kitchen floor!!  Ki-young throws him onto his back and they take his off to hospital.

We then see the boys arrive at the emergency room with a still-passed out Tae-yang.  An IV drip later, Dan-bi and Tae-in arrive to Chan-sol telling them he passed out at home from exhaustion.   When Tae-in rips into Chan-sol asking how the hell this happened, in his own anger he spits out that it had something to do with a woman dumping him.  Ki-young attempts to stop him from saying anything further, but then quietly says that Ga-on broke off their relationship.  The girls are speechless.  When Ki-young and Chan-sol return to the Store, Woo-bong and Ho-jae ask what happened, and they say he's going to need to stay a bit longer and that Tae-in and Dan-bi are at his side now.  Woo-bong says it will be alright because he's Tae-yang, and let's work hard, dammit!  They open the store to several customers streaming in...

Tae-yang is still passed out in the emergency room, as Tae-in attends to him.  She stands and says she has to go get a few things for Tae-yang (yeah, right...) and asks Dan-bi to keep an eye on him until she gets back.  We see Ga-on in her office working away, when her phone rings with Dan-bi on the other line.  When she asks Dan-bi what she wants, Dan-bi tells her that Tae-yang collapsed and is in the hospital... but Ga-on cuts her off with basically an 'I don't care' because they don't have that kind of relationship anymore and hangs up on her.

At the jail, we see Seul-woo there to visit his mom.  Imo tells him he didn't have to come, and he looks like heck!  Isn't he eating and sleeping properly?  When Seul-woo complains that he's the one visiting, she complains about having too much time on her hands now.  She says that he should find a place close to Dan-bi's so they can get through this together, when Seul-woo says why ask about her?  Seul-woo says he's in too much pain and will make things better for Imo; he's trying to stand on his own two feet now.  But Imo surprises him by saying that she's going to be in for the long haul -- apparently her crimes were so severe that no attorney could get her charges lessened.  Seul-woo pleads with her to figure out how to lessen her sentence, because even a day less would stop his heart from breaking.  They both dissolve into tears and press hands through the dividing wall glass.  Seul-woo leaves the visiting room to hear his phone ringing, and when he asks who it is....

Back at the hospital, Dan-bi has left to get some water and when she returns, she finds Tae-yang has disappeared.  When the nurse says he was just there a few minutes ago, Dan-bi searches the hospital to find him.  We find Tae-yang waiting outside Ga-on's house, cold and visibly shaking.  Ga-on walks up and sees him there, and attempts to just walk on by, but turns around and asks Tae-yang what is he doing there?  He struggles to his feet, and you can see he's absolutely beat up and broken.  He tells Ga-on he's hurting... he's hurting so much... and we fade out to end Episode 14.

PREVIEW:  No preview; just a recap of Episode 14

Let's just say that I am really glad I have an office with a door that I can close, because big gulping sobs were coming out of my mouth after this ended.  I'll put up something happy for the Episode 14 Teaser Picture and try not to think about it any longer...

I haven't looked in the previous 13 pages but does anyone know to what extent the plot resembles the true story of Lee Young Suk? I'm guessing only the whole business venture of the Fresh Men is real but I saw on DramaFever from comments that part of the whole Ga On/Jin Shim/Tae Yang story is real too?

I would think this whole mom making a girl pose as her daughter is too drama-like to be something that really happened in real life but...does anyone know? I tried Googling Lee Young Suk for anything on his biography but I've found absolutely nothing.

Anyways, I'm really liking this drama every week and I think everything is getting better and better. I've seen people complaining about how the plot's going down and also people annoyed by Hwang Shin Hae (actress who plays Ga On's mom). I personally think her performance is frightening and believable, and like I've said before - I'm really glad Wang Ji Hye got the lead female role for this drama. She has so much potential and I really cannot wait to see what she can really show us once all the ish hits the fan later on. Ji Chang Wook is also doing a great job and he really comes off as charming.

Annyeonghaseyo, chingus!  Just popping for a few minutes to let you know that the links on the first page are all up-to-date!  Thanks to a new uploader (kamsahamnida!!), the softsubs are current through Episode 13 and all three parts of the OSTs are available.  I'm still fixing the broken links from the last Soompi Crash, so bear with me a bit longer.  And as always, please PM me if you find that any of the links in this Forum are not working.

Sigh.  I wish those commenters on DramaFever would drink a big cup of STFU (and I would go in and tell them that), but I don't want to start a flamewar of epic proportions with the uninformed...  The quick answer to BoAFriend's question is NO. What part of "BASED UPON" do these people not understand?  It's not a verbatim script -- the only storyline to this Drama that is absolutely true is the way the Tae-yang character started up his Vegetable Empire. I've read the Chonggakne Yachaegage biography in preparation prior to starting up this Forum, and the only true-to-life situation the production has 'dumbed down' are the almost-daily physical fights that the CEO got into while starting up his business.  I guess they thought it was too much violence for the Korean viewers to handle?  What wussies...

The hardscrabble life he and his family suffered while he was growing up?  Painful, but true.  The Monkey Scene from Episode 7?  Yup, he did that very thing to sell a surplus of bananas.  The sopak issues mentioned in Episode 13?  Ditto, happened to him in real life.  The way his store employees handed out free green onions to every customer that walked through the door?  True true true.  BUT EVERYTHING ELSE IS ABSOLUTELY FICTIONAL!!  There was no identity-switching, there was no love-line with a major corporation's daughter, Seul-woo's rival corporation never existed, there was no Scruffy Guy character, etc. etc. etc.  The other storylines are just written as 'artistic license' to boost the plot through the drama's scheduled 24 episodes.

Yeah, I'm a bit passionate about this Show, and I hate it when people spread false rumours to justify their reasons for hating the drama and its characters.  Everybody funny.  dry.gif

Alright, thanks. That really cleared things up.

I figured the whole fake daughter thing was too dramatic to have been real and was made up for the drama's purposes, but it's good to be clear on all that.

I have to say the crazy woman is one twisted b**** . How could she even blame him for her daughters death ?, the only person to blame is her. I really hope that she gets whats coming to her sooner , im sick of her blaming everyone but herself . I find her soooo damn annoying , how could she even say that to tae yand after killing his grandmother. Jim Shim really needs to stop being to blinded by her , does she actually think this woman has ever thought of her well being. Up until now the witch has only cared about herself and how she can keep her status. Please please let Tae Yang find out soon about Jim Shim aswell as Jim Shim finding out about how the crazy woman killed his grandma.

I really hope that Tae In will find out the truth and get her brother and JS tougether .

Well, THAT was fast!!  I wonder if the PD-nim heard my pleas for more OST submissions, because not a week after the last one, we get Part 4 dropped ovenight!!

To throw a monkey into the works (no pun intended), this offering will have TWO songs attached to it -- the producers decided to have sort of a 'man's perspective/woman's perspective' in looking at the Love Quadrangle set up for this Show between Tae-yang, Ga-on, Dan-bi and Seul-woo.  The first tune will be a ballad called 바라만 본다 ("Always Looking At You") sung by the band called Putsagwa (Green Apple).  The second tune will be a bossa nova-styled tune called 고백 ("Confession"), and it's sung by a relatively new singer named Barbara.  Link is on the first page, and as always, let me know if it doesn't work!

So according to the news feeds, there are seven separate songs for the BVS OST, and we've had (technically) five released so far.  I definitely know that the last one to be released will be the "Chonggakne Yachaegage March," with all the cast members participating in it.  Should be interesting to see what the other one ends up being, ne?  Should I be holding my breath for a K.will offering, perchance?

so i was in seoul a couple weeks ago and my friend and i were in the hongdae area and ran into some show that was filming.. these guys were dressed as snow white, the witch and dwarves. i only recognized one guy from running man, and so i thought it was that show... but after some investigating.. turns out it to be this show i believe. i have a few pics from it. didn't realize how long it took to shoot a scene! was probably there for 2 hrs and it looked like they shot 2-3 scenes only. I may be in one of them because they allowed the crowd to rush in.. so me and my friend walked in at the last second.. hope they use that part! haha

Yeah, what pluie say!!  If you were in Hongdae on 20 January, then you were definitely in the right place -- have you had a chance to watch Episode 12 yet?  I got a heads-up beforehand, and saw several of my buddies in the crowd -- I'm sure you're probably viewable as well.  I've already posted the pics my chingus took at the filming, so please post yours as well (just remember to keep the file size reasonable so as to not crash the Soompi Servers... ).  Kamsahamnida!!

And it sucks that most reasonably-knowledgeable people only know Kwang Soo for his "Running Man" series -- I've lost count on both hands and feet the number of times I tell everyone HE'S IN A DRAMA TOO, not to mention a few movies as well.  To that end, here's a few BTS shots that the news feeds have been circulating about his expanded role in the Show.

EPISODE 15 RECAP, Part 1:

We're back at the driveway to Ga-on's house, where Tae-yang is waiting for her to arrive home, and just like at the end of Episode 14, tells her he's hurting... his heart hurts so much, and she tells him to stop.  Tae-yang tells her he's been doing a lot of thinking, and how his heart must have gone deaf -- it can't hear a word she's saying.  Ga-on says she doesn't know any other way of telling him that she won't see him anymore... she's throwing the man Han Tae Yang away.  He doesn't understand why she's acting so coldly and asks why his heart isn't getting cold at all?  He wants the real reason why she's doing that to him, so why can't he be by her side?  Ga-on tells him to stop, that she was attracted to him because he was so confident... and that she could be the one that takes away his Store after all the hard work he's done getting to that point.  Because she was born into a family like that, could he possibly take care of someone like her?  She begs him to not make her feel ashamed to know him.  Ga-on walks off, leaving Tae-yang a blubbering mess outside, and returns to her bedroom where she opens up a sales report and starts reading that Tae-yang's store is actually doing very well... and then finally breaks down in tears.

Dan-bi is still looking around the hospital for the missing Tae-yang, when he returns and promptly collapses in front of her.  Back in his hospital bed, shaking like a leaf, Dan-bi attempts to reach for him but turns away crying.  At that moment, Tae-in returns and lights into Tae-yang for leaving like that because they've been looking all over the place for him.  She heard that Ga-on dumped him and why the hell did he go to see her?  Dan-bi tells her to stop and leave him alone because he needs to rest, and ushers away from his bed.  Tae-yang breaks down again (and we see a little bit of the old Baek Dong Soo 'chin wiggle' as he dissolves into sobs).

The next morning, Dan-bi is giving Tae-yang a ride back to the Store, and he thanks her for the ride.  As he gets out to leave, Dan-bi stops him to say since he helped find her mom's ring, she owes him one.  So if he needs anything, no matter how trivial, just give her a call.  He tells her thanks again and bye The hyungs are all lined up in the front entryway waiting for him.  Ho-jae says he should have stayed in the hospital longer, that they've had no problem running the store by themselves.  Tae-yang gets pouty and says he feels bad that they could go on without him!  At that moment, Ki-young asks Tae-yang if he's okay!!  (HE FINALLY SPEAKS!!!) Tae-yang says they must have been really scared to actually hear words come out of Ki-young's mouth, but that he's fine now.  Chan-sol says that Tae-yang doesn't seem recovered -- look at his face, as he reaches for it and is slapped away by Yoo-bong, who says if Tae-yang says he's okay, then he's okay!!  Tae-yang says enough and let's get back to work, OKAY?

Back at Mok Young ConHugeCo, Crazy-Mom-To-Be has made yet another surprise visit to the offices, dragging Ga-on with her.  Fake Dad is actually glad to see her this time, as there's someone there he'd like them to meet...  TAE-IN!!!  She turns around and greets Ga-on with unni, as Ga-on attempts to greet her back in return. Tae-in then says it's really nice to see her again... Ga-on.  Tae-in greets Crazy-Mom-to-Be and asks if she's been well, but Crazy is about to faint while telling her she's fine.  Ga-on asks Tae-in to go back to her office so they can chat, but Fake Dad wants them to stay and hear more stories about Ga-on as she was growing up.  Crazy just glares at Tae-in, as she says that she's been sharing stories with Fake Dad about she and her oppa and Ga-on when they were kids.  Crazy tells Fake Dad that they must have a lot to catch up on, so just let them go for now.  Fake Dad reluctantly agrees and that they'll meet again, as Tae-in says sure thing -- just invite me over to the house next time!  Ga-on takes Tae-in by the arm and drags her out of there, as Crazy sits down with Fake Dad to find out why the hell Tae-in is in his office.  Fake Dad tells Crazy oh, this-and-that, and basically that Crazy was good to her and her brother because they didn't have parents, and that she's always been appreciative of that.  Of course Crazy would do that... because she's the adult. ::snort::  But Crazy warns Fake Dad not to be too friendly with her, in case stories about her and Ga-on living alone would possibly pop out, and she doesn't want rumours to start.  Fake Dad says to ignore stuff like that because it doesn't matter now -- Ga-on has found a friend!!

Ga-on tells Tae-in how much she's missed her, but Tae-in confronts Ga-on and asks why she didn't contact her after she knew Tae-in met with Crazy Mom.  And also because she didn't want to tell Tae-yang, that's why she didn't acknowledge Tae-in either.  Ga-on thanks her for not saying anything to Tae-yang, but Tae-in rips her a new one over dumping him without telling him who she actually was.  Ga-on just pretended to be someone else and ripped his heart out yet another time... so now he's been betrayed twice -- once by Jin-shim and now by a woman named Mok Ga-on!!  Ga-on tells her she won't make excuses because what she did was wrong, and that Tae-in must hate her a lot, and it may be hard to forgive her... but asks Tae-in for one more favor.  Please don't come see her mom or dad anymore, because she's worried that both her and her brother are going to get hurt (as Tae-in flashes back to when they were kids and Jin-shim was piggybacking Tae-in at the hospital when their grandmother was sick).  Tae-in removes her hand from Ga-on's, and tells Ga-on that the ones who should be worried are her and her Crazy Mom.  She's different from Tae-yang, and she's not going to let a chance like this pass by.  Ga-on pleads with her to stop, as Tae-in tells her to stop pretending to be worried when they're obviously trying to get rid of her and Tae-yang!!

Back at Crazy Manor, Mom-to-Be is attempting to arrange some flowers when she can't even hold the scissors straight as Ga-on returns home.  Crazy Mom-to-Be asks what that beeyotch told Ga-on, as Ga-on says she just wanted to see her and that's all.  Ga-on told her to never come to the office again, but Crazy is still convinced that the Han Family is hellbent on starting a war with them.  Ga-on still pleads with her to leave Tae-in to her, and just concentrate on your pregnancy and think good thoughts instead.  Crazy echoes that, and says the only good thing happening to her right now is the baby.  (Ooooh BURN!)  But Crazy still wants to take care of Tae-in once and for all, because she's gonna get in the way of the baby too.  Ga-on tells Crazy that Tae-in is young and immature and acting emotionally now, but Crazy says nope, she's acting like she just hit the jackpot.  Wait until she sees the hand that Crazy Mom's going to deal her...

At the Store again (and to the Chonggakne Yachaegage March again), we have a montage of the hyungs (all except Ki-young, making like Hong Gil Dong again) getting photographed by the Marketing people for a new public relations blitz.  Lots of preening and posing from the boys as they showcase the fruits and vegetables for sale... but the photographer seems to like Tae-yang's face the most and concentrates a lot of snaps at him instead.  (Smart photographer!!)  Next, another montage of our hyungs at a clothing store getting decked out in suits -- and they clean up quite nicely, of course -- as the assistant tells them the suits are a present from the Chairman, so don't worry about paying him back!  We see the team arrive at the Mok Young HQ, with everyone (except Tae-yang) nervous as nervous can be.

In Ga-on's office, though, she is flashing back to the last sight of Tae-yang's face on the bridge to her house a few nights before.  The intercom wakes her up and announces that the Fresh Men have arrived for their photo op meeting.  She wanders over to the conference room, where upon seeing Tae-yang for the first time since then, cannot speak.  He takes the lead and formally tells her hello, which sets her back a step...

In Fake Dad's office, the boys are getting their picture taken with him but look really stiff and uncomfortable, as the photographer tells them to relax.  Yoo-bong attempts a thumbs-up in one of the shots, but the photographer says to keep their hands down... and is slapped down by Chan-sol.  The photographer tells Tae-yang that he needs to smile a bit more, as he looks over at Ga-on and gives the photographer a feeble smile. Finally the Marketing Team is satisfied with the shoot and they end it.

Meanwhile, Ho-jae is peeping into the Marketing Department when Chan-sol and Yoo-bong come up behind him with a slap and a WTF are you doing?  Ho-jae says he needs the hyungs' favor with something, as those three sneak into a cubicle inside and Chan-sol takes some pictures of Ho-jae and Yoo-bong looking all corporate and going over reports and stuff.  Ah, you know these shots are going to be sent to Ho-jae's mother to get her off his back about getting a real job, when Ho-jae drops the news that he's told his omae that he works at a trading company now.  That earns a YAH?!? from the other boys.

On the mezzanine between offices, Tae-yang turns to Ga-on and asks her if seeing his face is burdensome?  She tells him not at all, since it's for work.  Tae-yang tells her that he even thought about leaving the store because he has his pride as well.  But that would make life easier for Ga-on, and he's going to do that, because he needs to set his emotions aside and only think about the future of the Fresh Men instead.  He has to bury his pride because his friends are more precious than keeping his pride intact.  Ga-on sighs and says goo, because his shop needs to succeed even if it's just for the sake of good public relations for the Company.  And since Tae-yang is so resilient, he'll recover quickly from something like this (like her dumping him).  Tae-yang sighs and says something like that?  Hmpf, fine... our conversations will only be about work and work alone.  Ga-on then tells him that the best thing he could do right now is get rid of his personal feelings for her as he just glares at her.  As she turns to leave, we see Seul-woo arriving on the scene.  When Ga-on greets him with a 'you came,' we can see Tae-yang seething at this interloper as she takes his arm and leads him away to her office.

Back inside Ga-on's office, where she and Seul-woo are chatting.  He asks her why they broke up, as she says it wasn't fun anymore.  Seul-woo was the one that told her that one doesn't date Tae-yang for fun... when things got complicated, it stopped being fun.  Seul-woo says yeah, right... is she sure her Mom didn't have anything to do with the situation?  Ga-on says she's the one that made the decision, as Seul-woo says she did the right thing.  Leave him alone and don't look back.  He tells her to get ready to leave, because he thinks neither of them should be alone today and shouldn't think about anything except wandering around.  Ga-on reminds him that he was there to ask a question, but after he's seen what state she's in, he decided not to ask after all.  When Ga-on asks no really, what is it, he tells her he likes it when she looks at him all worried and stuff.

At Dan-bi's now, she's reading a magazine while Tae-in is on the phone with Ho-jae, asking what he's up to now.  The hyungs have gone to a noraebang to make Tae-yang feel better, but Tae-in tells him that doesn't sound like something Dan-bi might be interested in.  Dan-bi begs to differ, because they don't have anything better to do, right?  Tae-in tells them the both of them will be there... and then we see the four hyungs (minus Ki-young again), Tae-in, Jung-ah (Chan-sol's "sister") and Dan-bi all getting their karaoke on!!  A hilarious sight, with Yoo-bong and Ho-jae dueting first, then Tae-in takes a turn, then Jung-ah and Chan-sol... and then all seven of them in a line, with the hyungs jumping up and down and singing at the top of their lungs, while the girls all just look at them.

And then it's Tae-yang's turn at the microphone (THANK YOU PRODUCERS!!), and he decides to sing the saddest song of the night (not sure if they're going to call it "Rain" or "Tears," but I do have confirmation that it will definitely be included on the OST!!!) with tears streaming down his face as the room looks on in silence.  At the same time Tae-yang is singing, though, we see Ki-young right outside the noraebang door listening to Tae-yang sing while wearing his Walkman headset.  We also see Seul-woo and Ga-on walking somewhere, and they eventually ends up at a batting cage, where obviously it's her first time at one.  As Changwook-ssi keeps singing, she keeps swinging and keeps missing through her own tears...

Tae-in is outside the noraebang taking a call from Crazy Mom-to-Be, who tells her that she must be really impatient since Tae-in was the one who was supposed to contact her first.  Through gritted teeth, Crazy tells Tae-in that she wants to meet and talk, because she has some demands to air out first.  Tae-in is all "really?" with Crazy and hangs up on her.  Crazy pulls out her pre-natal book and tells her baby-in-waiting that her mom wants her to grow up healthy so she can keep those nasty people away from her family.

[Commercial Break #1]

Back at the Store, a ruckus is going on outside that makes the Fresh Men all huddle at the front window to watch.  The Store truck is being backed-up into the driveway by Ki-young.  Jung-ah is there supervising a move into... next door!  She's opening up a nail salon right next to the Singsingman Shop!  Tay-yang asks her if she's moving in, and she says she hopes the Fresh Men's customers become her regular customers too... and she'll come over and help out making meals for them too.  What a deal!  The boys are gobsmacked that she could even do that in her condition, and when Woo-bong asks where Chan-sol's sister's husband is to help, he can't even stammer out a response, but she replies instead that he's on another business trip.  Ho-jae mutters just how many business trips can her husband take when she's in such a delicate condition?  Tae-yang says let's all help, so the hyungs all grab a box and start unloading.

Chan-sol takes Jung-ah inside the (cold enough to see your breath) shop and asks why she's doing this... he feels so guilty, so let's just tell the hyungs the truth now!  (HA!  I CALLED IT!!)  She says that he needs to bear the stress, because once he opens his mouth, he goes from being the maknae of the boys to being 'heavy baggage.'  When Chan-sol starts protesting, they're interrupted by Yoo-bong asking where the chairs should be placed in her store.  Jung-ah pulls Chan-sol's lips shut and shusshes him to not say anything further and goes out to supervise the unpacking.

Later that day, various ajummas are looking at and questioning the produce selections our boys have for sale that day.  Each sale is met with a hearty "[insert produce name here] ONE  BOX!!" or "TWO BOXES!!" depending on the purchase.  (Just too CUTE!!)  They're all finally wearing the new cardigan uniforms that Tae-yang designed that we see in the Opening Credits and all the promo pics.  All of a sudden, Seul-woo walks through the front door.  Tae-yang takes one look at him and says, "follow me."  Seul-woo just sighs and follows him as the other boys stare on.

Tae-yang opens the door to the storeroom and tells Seul-woo to hurry up because he's too busy to deal with him.  Seul-woo tells him that he wants to start working (and living) at the Fresh Men store, because since his household went bankrupt, he has no other place to go.  Tae-yang is thinking it's a big joke, but Seul-woo wishes that were the case since he's in position to joke around right now.  Tae-yang asks him why he wants to work at HIS store, fer chrissakes!  Seul-woo tells him that since he had such a privileged upbringing, there's not much he knows how to do in life.  But he knows how to do physical labour, which would be the best for someone like him in his condition.  Tae-yang is not buying any of it and just glares at him, and then Tae-yang hauls on and belts him, saying that Seul-woo thinks the work they hyungs do is so silly?  So get your butt out of there, because Tae-yang had told him he would let him slide one time, and one time only.  Seul-woo gets up and lands a hard right hook into Tae-yang's face, but on Seul-woo's next swing (and a miss), Tae-yang decks him into the boxes.  Tae-yang gets one last shot in, but stops short.  Seul-woo asks why he's being hit, when Tae-yang said he doesn't know and Seul-woo tells him to keep hitting away and get out his anger... in exchange for Seul-woo working and living at the shop.  As soon as he figures out why he's been living like such a fool for so many years, he'll leave and never come back.  Tea-yang peels himself off of Seul-woo and kicks at him, telling him to get up and find his answer somewhere else, because in today's world, there are tons more not-rich people than rich people, like Seul-woo used to be.

We see it's evening now, with Seul-woo standing outside the Store in the cold.  The shop is closed and the hyungs are off to the Market for the day's produce and all pile into the Store Truck, but not before a few glares are exchanged between Seul-woo and Tae-yang.  The truck pulls away, leaving Seul-woo standing on the side of the road all bruised up.

Halfway point, and I'll stop here.  See you again in Part 2!!

EPISODE 15 RECAP, Part 2:

We're at the OB/GYN Clinic, where Ga-on has brought Crazy Mom-to-Be for her checkup and asks if she's done and how everything went.  Crazy says the pregnancy is progressing along just fine, even though Ga-on gave her such and shock, the baby is strong and must take after her -- this one isn't even born yet, and he's already dependable (oh, does she know that she's having a boy already?).  As they get ready to leave, we then see Second Mom and Dan-bi get off the elevator, where Dan-bi asks her why the long face -- did she receive some bad news from the doctor?  Second Mom shushes that off, and says she's in a really great mood because Dan-bi accompanied her to the hospital.  Second Mom accuses Dan-bi of acting just like her dad, which gets a sputter out of Dan-bi.  As they both look up, they run into Crazy Mom-to-Be and Ga-on across the hall.

The stare-offs of all stare-offs happen, and then continue into a nearby cafe where Dan-bi is surprised to learn that both their mothers have known each other for years... and then Dan-bi goes in for the kill -- she asks Ga-on if on the night that Tae-yang disappeared from the hospital, did he go to meet Ga-on?  Ga-on says that she doesn't want to talk about that at all, as Dan-bi says there are much better ways to break up than doing it the way Ga-on did, by turning Tae-yang into a blubbering mess after their (one-sided) breakup.  Dan-bi wants to make sure that Ga-on will not have a change of heart later?  Ga-on then asks Dan-bi why the hell does she care so much about Tae-yang, to which Dan-bi mutters that she doesn't know why she does care...

The other two mothers just sit at an adjacent table and merely stare at each other.  Second Mom is incredulous to hear Crazy Mom-to-Be tell her she's pregnant, but she still offers her congratulations.  Crazy Mom tells her she's somewhat apologetic and embarrassed that she's having a baby at her age, but Fake Dad is just over the moon with the news.  Now she starts rubbing it in Second Mom's face that she got pregnant when Second Mom couldn't, but Second Mom takes the high road and says that it's okay and she's come to terms with it.  Crazy then tells her that there are people in the world who keep saying that she stole Second Mom's spot as Fake Dad's wife, but now that Second Mom has stepped aside, she can then feel sorry for Second Mom's troubles now.  Second Mom reiterates that it's all in the past and she's happy living with Dan-bi as her daughter, so she doesn't want her sympathy and leave her the f*uck alone, kwaenchanha?!?

Later back at their home, Dan-bi serves tea to Second Mom and asks what the two moms were talking about over at their table, as Second Mom asks the same question to Dan-bi.  Dan-bi asks how the two moms know each other, when finally Second Mom tells Dan-bi that Ga-on's dad was her first husband, even though Ga-on was already born to Crazy Mom.  Dan-bi almost drops her teacup in surprise, as Second Mom said that was the reason why she never told Dan-bi anything because it would have been too much of a shock.  Dan-bi wants her to confirm that we are talking about the same man, right?  Mok Ga-on is Fake Dad's daughter... the Mok Young Group's Chairman?  Second Mom goes into the whole story of when she divorced Fake Dad, Dan-bi's appa was the only one that she relied on, because if she didn't, she would have been a dead woman by now.

Second Mom says that after the divorce, she went to a monastery to live but got really sick and decided to go to the mountains to die.  She was trying to hang herself from a tree, but Dan-bi's dad ran over to stop her from going through with it.   He bought her a meal, and then started visiting her every day, saying that if she did go off and die, there needs to be at least one person at her funeral. Second Mom said she collapsed again, but when she came to, she found out that the Tosa had agreed to be her guardian at the hospital.  That's when she decided to live a long life, especially because of Dan-bi, because she couldn't bear to see Dan-bi lose another mother.  Dan-bi accuses her of making her out to be the bad daughter, because she always thought that Second Mom just married her dad for the money.  Second Mom tells her she's sorry and gives her a big hug in apology, saying she was just too embarrassed to tell her that.

The Tosa is right outside the door, listening to their whole conversation and wipes away a tear.

[Commercial Break #2]

Our hyungs are unloading another load of produce, while Seul-woo just idly stands by.  He suddenly picks up a stack of boxes and attempts to walk inside, but is stopped by Ki-young who grabs them away from Seul-woo.  More standing around and looking helpless from him...  Later, we see the store closed for lunch as Tae-yang comes downstairs to lock up and sees Seul-woo sitting outside the shop still looking hopeless.  (Remember, he has no place to live once Imo's house was repossessed.)  We see a bowl of rice having several toppings added, as our hyungs mix it all up and get ready to eat some lunch.  Tae-yang is the only one not eating, though... and he slams down his spoon and nods to Chan-sol.  Chan-sol is all aw geez, do I have to at Tae-yang, but he goes out to bring Seul-woo in for some food.  As he chomps down on some bimbimbap, the boys all parade by him on their way back into the store -- Tae-yang just glares at him, Yoo-bong tells him to give up now; it's no use.  Ho-jae tells him none of the hyungs want to work with him, Ki-young (of course) says nothing, as Chan-sol pulls him back to say that Seul-woo should disappear before Ki-young gets mad.  Chan-sol asks Ki-young what his nickname is, as Ki-young answers ONG BAK (a famous Korean kickboxer).  LOL LOL LOL!!!  Chan-sol says for him to stop annoying Tae-yang, and they walk off to the store as well, leaving Seul-woo alone at the kitchen table with his food.

Dan-bi is visiting Imo at the jail, as she asks if Imo is dejected seeing her there instead of Seul-woo.  Imo says no, she's pleased that Dan-bi came to see her.  Dan-bi says oppa is doing okay, but he's crazy busy looking for a job right now so don't be upset if he can't visit her everyday like he's been doing.  Imo asks what job is he looking for, but Dan-bi doesn't know for sure but she's sure he'll say something once he gets something lined up.  Dan-bi then says that Seul-woo is a lot more focused than everyone thinks, so she doesn't have to worry.  Imo tells her that's exactly why she's worried, that Seul-woo is going to stop being such a precious son and less boyish (?).  Imo requests Dan-bi to keep an eye on him just to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid.

Yoo-bong is back at Seo's house with a fancy basket of fruits and veggies... and a large bouquet of roses.  He hesitates a few times before finally ringing the bell and traipsing up the four flights of stairs.  There we see Seo wiping away tears and asking Yoo-bong why he's there, when he says he's there with some extra fruits to share.  Yoo-bong comes up to the rooftop, and sees why Seo had been tearing up -- her garden has been vandalized!  Yoo-bong asks what happened, and she says she doesn't know -- she came home to find it like this.  She says to just put the box down and leave... which he does and leaves hesitantly, but then thinks better of it and turns around and fixes each and every plant back like it was before.  He says that not all of them will live, but he'll come by every day to check on them since he comes from a long line of farmers.  She tells him that she comes from the countryside too, to which Woo-bong says that she sure doesn't look like a country girl!

She asks if he likes tea, which he nods that he'd like that and she invites him in.  We see that there's been some damage done to the inside as well, with a broken mirror and busted CD cases.  She apologizes for inviting him in to her house looking all messed up, and he says it's okay but what the heck happened here and is she okay?  Seo says she'd rather not talk about that right now, and then notices Woo-bong's name tag that says "Stepson" and asks why?  Yoo-bong says that's the nickname that the other hyungs gave him at the Store, because he'll be the son-in-law to all the ajummas that buy produce from him.  Seo asks him what she should really call him, as he formally introduces himself as Nam Yoo-bong.  She says... Yoobong-ssi -- and then reciprocates by introducing herself as Kang Seo-young.  And they make kissy-eyes at each other for a few seconds (with lots of tinkly fairy music playing in the background).

Waiting at a restaurant, Tae-in is nervous and is being served another glass of juice by a waitress while waiting for Crazy Mom-to-Be to arrive for another "chat."  She takes a big gulp from the glass and gets annoyed that Crazy is late, and picks up her phone to call her.  But as she's trying to dial the number, her vision gets all fuzzy.  (OH COME ON WRITERS, REALLY?!?)  Next thing we see is the waitress coming in as Tae-in passes out.  The screen goes black for a few seconds, and then we see Tae-in waking up in a warehouse somewhere without her shoes on.  She trips and falls over a piece of furniture.

Outside of the Crazy Lady's house, Secretary Yang is waiting for Crazy to come out when he sees Ga-on walking up the driveway.  Big ol' grin on his face, he hops out of the car and asks if she was just now getting off of work (as it starts snowing harder).  Ga-on asks why he hasn't gone home yet, to which he answers that he's waiting for Crazy Mom to return home -- just in case she calls him, he wants to be on standby to go get her.  Ga-on asks why she went out without Yang, and he doesn't want to say anything, but... that maybe Ga-on should have an interest in what her mother is doing, but that he can't say much or his richard simmons is going to be fired on the spot.  Ga-on has her WTF face on now...

Back at the abandoned warehouse, Tae-in is attempting to find a way out by banging on the door and yelling.  When her efforts bring nothing, she stops and slumps down on the floor... and then the door magically opens to the outside, where she escapes and attempts running barefoot up a snow-covered hill to get away.

Ga-on is in her bedroom, on the phone trying to call Tae-in who is obviously not picking up.  She flashes back to when Crazy told her *she* would take care of Tae-in because if she doesn't do something rash, that beeyotch is going to get in the way of the baby that she's carrying too.  Ga-on then realizes...

Tae-in makes it to the main road and starts walking as a car comes up behind her and almost passes her, but then stops and signals for her to get inside.  She does without hesitation, and as she's thanking the person for stopping, she looks up to see... the waitress who served her the spiked drink at the restaurant!  As Tae-in tries to leave, the doors are locked and the car takes off.

(And this is where I threw my coffee cup at my monitor.  Fortunately, I missed the dang thing because I don't have the money to replace it right now.)

We see Crazy Mom-to-Be sitting having a cup of tea at another restaurant, when her phone starts ringing.  It's Ga-on, but she's not picking up.  Suddenly, the door to the private room opens, and Tae-in is dragged in shoeless.  Crazy tells the waitress she should at least have let Tae-in put her shoes back on -- and she does and leaves.  Tae-in yells at Crazy that she knows she's the one behind her kidnapping, but Crazy turns it back on her and says that those were the conditions she presenting to her, so whaddya gonna do about it?  Tae-in says she's going to the police and tell Fake Dad everything!  Tae-in will get great joy in revealing what type of monster Crazy Mom is, and will be delighted to see her absolutely humiliated!!  Crazy Mom tells her to bring it on, because she considers Tae-in a bug that she can just stomp on, and will ruin her in the most horrific way possible.  Tae-in says threats like that are never going to work, but Crazy Mom just gets up and tells her that there's an envelope in her bag.  It's a small consolation for seeing Tae-in shivering in the cold like a dog, so take it and never say a word to Ga-on or Tae-yang about what happened to her... because Crazy Mom will make dead sure that she will put her brother through the same things (or worse) that what Tae-in went through today.  Crazy gets up and leaves, Tae-in goes back home and collapses in Dan-bi's arms, as we see Tae-yang running out of the store towards their house.

Ga-on is now the one pacing in the foyer waiting for her Crazy Mom to come home.  When Ga-on asks where she's been because she didn't take her car or driver, Crazy asks her what, are you the Family Police now -- can't she go out without having to tell Ga-on why?  Besides, she's tired and they should talk tomorrow

Tae-yang is at Dan-bi's by now, as Tae-in is resting in bed.  When he asks what happened, she says she doesn't know but there's something wrong with Tae-in's feet as he uncovers them to see a bunch of bruises and scrapes.  Tae-yang thanks Dan-bi for taking care of Tae-in, but Dan-bi says that Tae-in only told her she fell down.  And then Dan-bi says there's something weird after she looked at Tae-in's phone -- there's a bunch of phone calls in a row from Ga-on. Dan-bi didn't even know that Tae-in and Ga-on knew each other, that's why it's weird.  And who happens to just call when Tae-yang has her phone in his hands but Ga-on, who asks when he answers if she is alright... that nothing happened to her?  When Tae-yang answers, she's stunned and then Tae-yang asks how do Ga-on and his Tae-in know each other?  Ga-on says that they just happened to meet by chance.  Tae-yang tells her it seems Ga-on is concerned somewhat about Tae-in, and that's why she kept calling... because Ga-on would know that something did happen to Tae-in?  Ga-on asks Tae-yang if something did happen?  Tae-yang says yes, something did happen and wants an explanation from her right now!!  She tells him that she doesn't know what happened, and that she was concerned because her phone was turned off.  She stammers a goodbye and hangs up... and finally puts two and two together.

The next day, we see Tae-yang running across the Mok Young lobby.  Crazy Mom suddenly appears at Ga-on's office to take her down to Fake Dad's office which, of course, Ga-on forgot that she had to go to because she was so lost in thought.  Crazy asks her what's up, as her face looks like there's something she wants to get off her chest to Crazy Mom.  They get ready to depart, as Tae-yang reaches Ga-on's office door. They both reach for the handle of the door at the same time... and we end Episode 15!

PREVIEW:  Apparently they confronted each other, as Ga-on is near collapsing in the elevator on the way to the lobby.  Tae-yang confronts Tae-in about her last encounter with Ga-on.  Crazy Mom has a hissy fit over her plans unraveling.  Ga-on is on her way home, with Seul-woo kinda stalking her from behind.   Tae-yang asks Tae-in what it is that she knows about Ga-on that she's not telling him.

Ouch.  This was a hard one to plow through and watch, mostly because there were several WTF?!?!? moments where I was scratching my head.  Makjang doesn't even BEGIN to describe this episode, dammit!!  But I'm still keeping up this Episode 15 Teaser Picture -- MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!!  Changwook-ssi gets a chance to sing again (the song is called "Rain"), and I need to find out if it will also be included on the OST.  Not wasting any time waiting, I have sampled and have it on heavy repeat on my iPod right now!!

Regardless... SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!  wub.gifwub.gifwub.gif
