Go to Forum 0 | Reply 0 Actor Kim Ji Hoon opened up about almost debuting as an idol group member at SM Entertainment.

On the September 25 broadcast of SBS’ Strong Heart, Kim Ji Hoon stated, “I studied quite a bit and was at the top of my class, but I suddenly wanted to be a celebrity. That’s when I auditioned at SM Entertainment and I made it.”

The actor added, “I went to the recording studio and sang a song, but my singing was so awful. I knew I wasn’t a good singer, but it was so much worse in the recording studio. When I would sing at a karaoke, I thought I was pretty good, but the recording studio exposed everything. I wanted to hide, but there was nowhere to go.”

Kim Ji Hoon confessed, “SM Entertainment wanted to make a group like Taiwan’s F4. The members would be made up of four guys who went to good schools, sang well, and were good looking. Three members from Korea’s most prestigious universities and I got together for a photo shoot, and all we had to do was record. They wanted us to debut in two months, but it was a complete failure. There were no vocals. All four of us became actors instead.”

mydeercloud Kim Ji Hoon reveals story before Super Junior’s creation when Donghae & Leeteuk were in a group called ‘Smile’

Kim Ji Hoon said “I think Leeteuk and Eunhyuk are amazing. Before Super Junior was created, a group named ‘Smile‘ was formed. Ultimately, it didn’t come to fruition but Leeteuk and Donghae were members in that group.”

Leeteuk confessed, “‘Smile’ was supposed to be the match to TVXQ. I always greeted people brightly and said, ‘Hello, I’m Smile’s Jungsu.’ We were just about to debut, but we didn’t. We didn’t know that South Korea would make it to the semi-finals at the 2002 World Cup. The soccer passion was so hot that we figured we wouldn’t gain attention even if we debuted.”

It would be better if he is the 1st lead. Any way, I respect his decision. Will certainly follow this new drama.

dear alex, wntrsky & all --- i was under the impression he's the lead? oh no! well anyway, the genre on this drama is a lot better than the other one he backed off from right? we'll support him unconditionally i'm sure!
we miss u here alex, i kinda thought you must be busy! i was too & didn't get to come here for a while! thnx for sharing the yummy pix! oh he's truly an eye candy, u can never get tired looking at him! hahaha

hi annyeong my dear friend alex --- thnx i will surely check it out! it's nice to see you here, how hv u been? sorry i've been absent for a short time but whenever we can we'll pass by here right? this a.m. i happened to stumble upon his drama on chinese station GEofDIL & i was so happy to get a glimpse of that drama! it's probab in the middle of the drama already where his wife left to go home to her parents but i didn't get to see the beginning as i was late in flipping the channels! i know u mentioned u hv d/loaded it or u bought a dvd but i can't recall exactly now

i'm sure our guy is busier now coz his drama shld be commencing in Jan 2013 so let's hope we get to watch that then eh? see u here again soon! take care!

Pictures from the first script reading of "The Pretty Boy Next Door" have been revealed.

The upcoming tvN drama "The Pretty Boy Next Door" has confirmed a cast of Yoon Si-yoon, Park Sin-hye, Kim Ji-hoon-I, Park Soo-jin, Ko Kyeong-pyo, Kim Yoon-hye and more.

While the first script reading took place on the 21st, the cast were so engrossed in their roles that apparently it seemed like the real thing.

Yoon Si-yoon and Kim Ji-hoon-I were greeted warmly by the people on site as it's their come back for the first time in a while and Park Sin-hye also brightened the location with her air of a goddess.

Enrique Geum (Yoon Si-yoon) and Oh Jin-rak (Kim Ji-hoon-I) created a funny moment by holding each other in check to have Ko Dok-mi (Park Sin-hye) all to themselves.

Producer Jo Moon-joo said, "The script reading went well thanks to the actors and actresses analyzing their characters well enough beforehand. I feel we are going to make a good result because of the concern they are putting in their work and their teamwork".

Meanwhile, "The Pretty Boy Next Door" is based on a popular web-toon called, "I Sneak A Peek At Him Everyday". It's a romantic comedy that reveals the 'sneak a peek' psychology in a fun and comic way.

Dear hibiscus23, thank you for your photos and news. I have read them but I was too busy to post them here. 2013 seems to be a good start for us as his fan. I'm interested to see him in a comedy drama. I have watched Strong Heart Ep 147 and I love the way KJH revealed his pass with SM Entertainment. Even guys think he is so handsome. For me his look is so close to perfection. He does not look like typical Korean. If I don't know that he is Korean, I would have no idea about his nationality.
I have DVDs of GEoDiL. KJH is soooo awesome. He is flawless.
I'm not sure about the name of this variety show but it seems to be the recent one. KJH is so handsome here.
