Hi akachibi.

Have you heard of UOT Kitchen? It's basically a theme generator (works with Gingerbread). You can change status icons, fonts, customize the color to hot pink... yeah. Once done, it will create a .zip file to download. You'll just have to flash it in recovery.

As always, make a backup if anything goes wrong.

More font packs (just flash .zip): http://forum.xda-dev...ad.php?t=801160

More MODs and themes: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=655

If your up for it and want to learn the hard, manual way. The link below may help you get started.

Are you into cutesy themes or something out of the ordinary. Give MIUI ROM a try. It changes the whole phones' look and feel. I've seen some really creative designs people have made over in China :). The ROM is inspired by Apple iOS and would be a nice refresh of your current ROM. I'll post some screens below.

THANK YOU SO MUCH OMG. You are such a great help!!! And yes I'm really into the cutesy kind of themes and customizations. I keep looking for different themes and stuff and seems like people are really into the SLEEK kind of designs... but I'm definitely really into the cutesy asian themes!!

I'm trying to make the theme on uot kitchen right now but how do I change the font of the status bar as well? Maybe it's already there and I'm just blind and/or stupid because I don't know where I can customize that ;_; ~!!

For the font packs, do they customize the ENTIRE system's fonts? Just wondering. Or does it only customize if we use Go launcher?

Again, thank you so much YoshiWorld!!! If you have any more cutesy-themed related stuff, please let me know! ^___^

There's a tab called "Fonts" > "Use this mod" > choose your font. This will actually change the whole system font. Not just the status bar.

Silly me made a mistake with the font pack link I provided. Seems it only works for older version of Clockwork recovery (2.x lower). Use this one instead (http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1194202). Also note, you may need to go into recovery and mount /system before you flash the font .zip file, otherwise it will not work. This will also change the system font.

If you get confused under "File Upload" tab. Leave everything at default. Except you will need to upload framework-res.apk (http://www.mediafire...udx22czmtanc9tp) from the button marked below.

I tested this myself today and everything seems to work fine so far. Changed icon color, font, and took away slick gradient off the status bar to flat black. Right side is customized.

Good luck! biggrin.gif

Oh BTW, if your using Mikfroyo, it's based off of Froyo, not Gingerbread.  Kind of outdated no? :)

I have a question, more, I need help.

I rooted my phone (samsung galaxy ace) a while ago. 2 days ago I wanted to flash it with a new version (my current one is 2.3.3) because I deleted the clock by accident and when I did it totally screwed my phone. I only got the symbol of the phone/computer and nothing more. It took me hours to get it work again, after flashing after flashing. Right now I'm back to where I was before the flashing and everything works fine. One thing I lost, though, I don't have the rooted permission anymore, which means I can't really back-up my old stuff with TB. How do I get the permission back? :/

I'm not aware of people being able to hack androids yet but about the app easy answer.

some of the apps are designed to run in the background whether you like it or not (one of the pitfalls of android's multitasking)

I have a HTC Thunderbolt and you will not believe the amount of apps that run there all the time that don't need to. Everytime I close it down it restarts up again. What phone do you have? I bet it has a bunch of bloatware you can't uninstall. my phone gets really laggy at times

the solution: root the phone and uninstall it (there by voiding your warranty) or suck it up (if it's just the music app, it's not worth it)

Stupid question, how do I use Miui themes on the HTC Evo 3D? I kinda wanna avoid rooting for awhile. I tried rooting my old EVO 3d but none of the roms flashed and i couldn't unroot it when i had to get it sent in for repairs :sweatingbullets:

Ah nevermind, i gotta root it

Hi everyone! I'm planning to buy a new phone next year and I kept looking to the HTC phones but my two of my cousins had them and they said it was completely laggy and used up too much battery in a day and I wanted to know, from HTC owners, what are your thoughts on the phone?

HTC used to be awesome. They just gone downhill the past 2 years (ever since the original Droid Incredible). Their financials are also showing their slump. The company is on the verge of going under (not to say they can't make a comeback). I personally would stay away. Not just for reason above (personally for me its reason enough), but I just don't see anything they currently have on the market to be compelling compared to what others (Apple, Samsung, Motorola, etc) currently have available.

1. Which phone you have
-Sony Xperia Tipo Dual

2. Three most useful applications
- whatsapp, line, facebook messenger (I use messengers a lot)
- maxthon cloud browser
- twitter
(I'm a social media enthusiast so I mostly use those kinds of apps and therefore find those the most useful)

3. Any themes you use
- Just the default xperia themes that come stock.

4. Version of Android Device
- 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich)

Can anyone tell me how the music player is for the Galaxy S3 and the Note 2?  My contract expires in April and I'm thinking about switching to android. I have an iPhone 4 right now so of course the music on it is great since apple does very well with the ipods but I was wondering about the androids. Are they good substitutes or should I buy an ipod when I get either the GS3 or Note 2?
