There aren't alot of sad, tear-jerking animes that are truly touching. TT_____TT Recommendations would be appreciated. I'm not really into comedy [i'm not emo and all, but the comedy in animes suck ino].

I have one for you, if you haven't seen Kimi no Nozomu Eien (aka Rumbling Hearts) it's a tear jerker. You cry during the anime but the ending is happy.

I would recommend you Kilala Princess by Rika Tanaka and illustrated by Nao Kodaka.

It's really cute and interesting!

The girl Kilala finds like a guy named Rei sleeping on the grass and she finds him attractive and tries to kiss him, but he wakes up. He tells her hes looking for the Seventh Princess and Kilala tells him about a princess contest that her friend is in. Her friend gets kidnapped and Kilala and the Rei goes to different worlds to find her and they continue their search to find the Seventh Princess. First they go to Snow Whites world and yeaa~

I know it sucks when i explain it, but its a really good manga!

Hmm... well personally I didn't think Clannad, Air or H2O were that sad... >_> I guess it's up to the person's opinion...

But here's a few anime that I've seen and cried during...

ef ~a tale of memories and ef ~a tale of melodies - definitely one of THE best romance/sad/tragedy anime I've seen. It's very different in animation and story telling, but once you get past it, the story is REALLY well done =)

Honey & Clover I and II - a really realistic and sad anime imo.... it's about university students and what happens to them as they learn to grow up in "poverty" (like there's a running gag about how they never have money to buy meat) and it's just really touching to me... especially the ending of the second season

Sola - at first, this anime was very easy-going and kinda gives off a "happy-go-lucky" feel... but during the second half, it's a very intense tragic story that really made me cry at the end... it does have romance but it focuses a lot more on the sadness and bittersweetness of the characters.

Hope that helps =) Out of all these, I think H&C I and II were definitely my favourite ^^'' it's a MUST MUST watch and especially high ratings on ANN if you don't believe XP haha
