Jo In Sung, there's an actor with such a good personality. Textbooks of celebrities attending award ceremonies.

spacer.png
The 42nd Blue Dragon Film Awards ceremony was held at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, on the 26th. Ryu Seung-wan is delighted with Jo In-sung

It is the "Standard of Attending the Awards."

In the season when various awards ceremonies are held at the end of the year and New Year, participating celebrities can use Jo In-sung's "quality" as a textbook, which shone the 42nd Blue Dragon Film Awards.

The movie "Mogadishu," starring Jo In-sung at the Blue Dragon Film Awards, won as many as six awards, including the Best Picture Award, Best Director Award, Best Supporting Actor Award, Art Award, Most Audiences Award, and Jeong Jeong-won Popular Star Award.

Jo In-sung, who dominated the audience by playing the role of Kang Dae-jin, a disaster officer who united with snob grit in "Mogadishu," using "perfect" Konglish. With Kim Yoon-seok and Heo Joon-ho seriously weighing in, he played a perfect role in instilling laughter, vitality, and tension in the story development, making him more likely to win the award than anyone else.

Unfortunately, however, Jo In-sung did not hold the trophy in his arms, but throughout the awards ceremony, he enjoyed the stage with his top star dignity.

spacer.png

Jo In-sung, who stepped on the red carpet with Kim Yoon-seok on the awards day, made a heart pose in front of the photo wall, first pleasing the photographers. As if encouraging Kim Yoon-seok, who usually looks serious, to create a large heart pose together, creating a pre-ceremony atmosphere.

In addition, when fellow actor Koo Sang-hwan of "Mogadishu" receives the Popular Star Award, he is the first to give a high five and show a violent reaction. When Kang Hye-jung, CEO of Oeyunaegang, the producer of "Mogadishu," expressed her feelings about winning the Best Performance Award, she also drew attention with fierce applause and cheers that seemed to mobilize all his facial muscles.

Not only this, but during Oh My Girl's "Dolphin" celebration performance, even a "sexy cute" image of imitating the Dolphin dance was captured on camera.

Jo In-sung previously drew attention at the 2017 Blue Dragon Film Awards with a bright smile and fierce reaction at Mamamoo's celebratory performance.

The way Jo In-sung truly enjoys the awards ceremony is compared to some who are obsessed with the trophy. It is also in stark contrast to the appearance of trying to find out whether or not to win the award through the agency in advance, decide whether to attend accordingly, or leave the awards ceremony in a hurry if the award fails.

spacer.png

Spoiler

spacer.png

In fact, Jo In-sung is a famous actor who is also a mood maker in the movie scene. He is famous for taking good care of his seniors and juniors and encouraging his colleagues even when the atmosphere is down. Therefore, in the case of the movie he starred, it is famous that many actors are involved in the release promotion schedule. From the perspective of a public relations company, Jo In-sung is a very grateful actor.

A staff member who worked with Jo In-sung said, "Isn't it a born celebrity style?" His face was small and white, and when I first saw him, his style was no joke, so it was hard to get close to him. The style of being as simple as anyone else and taking care of everything from the youngest to senior staff is unusual. "I wondered why there were so many people around me, and I can see the reason when I see it from the scene," he also said.

Meanwhile, Jo In-sung has confirmed his appearance in "Moving" produced by Disney+, a world-class streaming service. Directed by Park In-je, director of "Kingdom" Season 2, "Moving" is a superpower action hero in which children living in the present while hiding their superpowers and parents who have hidden the painful secrets of the past face the huge dangers of the times and generations together.

Jo In-sung played Kim Doo-sik, a veteran agent with flight capabilities, while Ryu Seung-ryong, Han Hyo-joo, and Kim Sung-kyun confirmed their appearance.

Well Go USA has announced that they will be releasing the acclaimed action-drama Escape From Mogadishu on Blu-Ray and DVD on January 18, 2022. The film is currently available on Digital. Internationally-acclaimed, award-winning director Ryoo Seung-wan (Veteran, The Berlin File) brings together a stellar cast, including Kim Yoon-seok (The Chaser, The Yellow Sea), Huh Joon-ho (Kingdom, Illang: The Wolf Brigade), Zo In-sung (The Classic, The Great Battle), Koo Kyo-hwan (Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula, Netflix’s Kingdom: Ashin of the North), Joung Man-sik (The Swordsman, Rampant) and Kim So-jin (The Spy Gone North, The King) for the riveting story of rival diplomats from North and South Korea who become trapped as a civil war rages in Somalia. The film is South Korea’s official submission for Best International Feature at the 94th Academy Awards.

Synopsis: Dramatically constructed based on actual events: when civil war explodes in 1991 between rebel factions and Somali government forces under dictator Mohamed Siad Barre, rival North and South Korean diplomats are trapped in the capital city, surrounded on all sides by what would emerge as some of the deadliest fighting of the conflict. With no aid from either Korean government—and no means of communicating with the outside world—the diplomats’ only shot at survival may require uniting with bitter adversaries to escape.

Bonus material include production documentaries and a making-of featurette.

5 Dramas Without a Love Triangle

Love triangles have become a classic element incorporated into popular Korean dramas, leaving viewers in competition for their favorite partner. But there are also dramas that say no to the love triangle, giving viewers many moments of consolation because there will be no more moments of regret for any character and we will not be left suffering because they leave us the secondary lead even lonelier! Let's see the list ...

It's Ok, That's Love

Bringing together the two most popular faces in the Korean film industry:  Jo In Sung  and  Gong Hyo Jin  ,  'It's Ok, That's Love' '  is a drama about people suffering from mental illness and in need of appeasement. The series is a gentle love story between  Jang Jae Yeol  and  Ji Hae Soo  , two seriously traumatized people who find themselves amid the hustle and bustle of life and try to overcome their illness together. The drama gives us not two, but four romantic couples !!

Korea’s Hit Political Dramas

True Life Political Tales and Fictionalized Election Stories Draw Big Crowds

Elections are serious business in any country, but in Korea, politics have also proven to be good business for the film sector. Stories about political events, many of them true-life accounts of major events in modern Korean history, have consistently to be significant draws at the box office over the years.

These stories cover the breadth of South Korea’s relatively short history and feature characters strutting through the halls of power but also the citizens whose lives are most affected by their era’s political currents.

Below is a list of the all-time most popular political dramas at the Korean box office, followed by a brief primer on other Korean election dramas ahead of the political contest 2022.

The King - 5.32 million viewers

The Scorsese-esque prosecutor saga The King (2017) from director Han Jaerim chronicles the rise and fall of an ambitious prosecutor played by Zo Insung. Zo plays Park Taesu, who comes upon from humble origins and impresses hotshot prosecutor Han Kangsik (Jung Woosung), from whom he learns the ropes and how to twist the constitution to their benefit.

The story is structured around Korea’s presidential election contests, which take place every five years, showing how corrupt prosecutors stand to gain or lose from these hotly contested elections during Korea’s evolving political landscape.
