Jo In Sung reportedly considers appearing in movie “Hope”

20230306174633002crrv.jpg

Actor Jo In Sung’s side revealed that he is considering appearing in the movie “Hope”.

On March 6th, Jo In Sung‘s agency IOK Company told Xports News that it is “one of many works offered and currently under review” regarding whether Jo In Sung will appear in the movie “Hope” (directed by Na Hong Jin).

“Hope” is a science fiction film about what happens when aliens visit a rural village. It also drew attention as it is the first work that director Na Hong Jin, who has been loved for movies such as “The Chaser”, “The Wailing” and “The Medium”, will be in charge of directing after 6 years.

Meanwhile, Jo In Sung approached the public with a more familiar image through tvN’s entertainment program “Unexpected Business 2” last year.

Besides, in the movie “Smugglers” (directed by Ryu Seung Wan), which was confirmed to be released this summer, he will meet the audience as the smuggling king who opened his eyes to the smuggling business during the Vietnam War.

7 K-Dramas And Films That Use “Flower” In Their Titles

From bud to bloom, flowers are often seen as a metaphor for life, a confession of love, and a caress of hope. Their fragrance radiates happiness, drawing one into its healing embrace. From cherry blossoms to camellias, edelweiss, delphiniums, and orchids, each have had a significant role in K-dramas. The language of flowers plays a key role in the narrative, depicting the many emotions of love, passion, grief, agony, and even destruction.

Since spring is in the air, what could be more perfect than to revisit seven K-drama and films, which weave in the word flower in their title?

“A Frozen Flower”

A-Frozen-Flower.jpeg

A king, unable to birth an heir to the throne, requests his lover to impregnate his wife – can it get any more scandalous than this? The King (Joo Jin Mo) is married to Queen Han Ik Bi (Song Ji Hyo) of the Yuan Dynasty. The two have no children and are constantly under pressure to produce a crown prince. While the King is in love with his military commander Hong Rim (Jo In Sung), he asks his lover to get his wife, the Queen, pregnant. However, the King’s best laid plans go awry when the Queen and his military commander fall in love. All is fair in love and war, and a bloody resolution could well be the only solution and the fate of those involved.

“A Frozen Flower,” loosely based on the reign of King Gongmin of the Goryeo Dynasty, does not completely adhere to historical facts and uses cinematic liberties to fictionalize people and events. It made headlines for its bold theme and explicit scenes. The film highlights several socio-political issues, from the status of women in medieval Korean society to the topic of homosexuality in royal courts. “A Frozen Flower” has several plot twists and weaves in suspense and drama, and the stars of the film are in sync with the turmoil of their characters, giving well-nuanced performances.

*** Comedienne Kim Ji-min talked about the time when Jo In Sung left a great impression on her when she guested on March 27 on SBS' television show 'Same Bed Different Dreams: You Are My Destiny 2'. Kim Ji-min said, "A few days ago, Jun-ho (her comedian BF) and I went out for a meal with Cha Tae Hyun and his wife. Toward the end of our meal, Jo In Sung joined us. When I said, 'Wow, he's so good-looking!', my BF got so jealous. On my way out, I had to pay for my valet parking service, which was 3,000 won. Upon finding that out, Jo In Sung took 10,000-won bill out of his wallet and gave it to me. He was like, 'You don't need to give me the change.' I was impressed, and I said to my BF, 'Isn't he just amazing?'"  After listening to her story, all female hosts and guests could not agree with her on being fascinated by Jo In Sung more. They commented, "Wow, that's truly so awesome of Jo In Sung to do so though! He's incredible indeed!", making her said to her BF, "See, Jun-ho? All girls are with me!"    :Ohboy3:

*** In a recent interview, Director Na Hong-jin claimed that "HOPE 2023" has more big budget spectacle scenes than "Alienoid" , which is the current cost leader in South Korean film. He said that the upcoming movie is not envisioned as a series despite his concept of multiple parts and stories. However, he also admitted that the movie may end up being distributed by streaming services, regardless of this theatrical intent in the design of the story. It is not yet known when or where  the movie will be made available to public audiences. I hope we get to know the schedule soon.   :Woah:
