Fan voting for Seoul Drama Awards opens on July 4

The Seoul Drama Awards 2013 will be opening online voting on July 4 for three categories: 'Netizen's Best Popularity Award', 'Korean Wave Drama Award', and 'Most Popular Drama OST'.

In 'Netizen's Best Popularity Award', fans are to vote their favorite stars from four countries, including Korea, China, Japan, and Taiwan, on the largest foreign Korean wave website, www.soompi.com or on Daum mobile application, MyPeople.

Korean actors, Lee Min-Ho, Lee Joon-Ki, and Song Joong-Ki are nominated for the award, where 166 actors and actresses from four countries have been nominated.

For 'Korean Wave Drama Award', 13 dramas including KBS' 'Big', MBC's 'Gu Family Book', and SBS' 'That Winter, The Wind Blows' have been nominated.

For 'Most Popular Drama OST', the voting will be held in Daum Music (music.daum.net) and 26 most popular songs from the 13 dramas nominated for 'Korean Wave Drama Award' have been nominated.

The ceremony will be held on September 5 in MBC TV.

By now everyone has probably heard the sad news - both Won Bin and Jo In Sung have recently been taken off the market.

As thousands of women around the world mourn, attention has turned to another Korean 'national treasure,' Kang Dong Won.

Across the internet fans are urging the actor with the piercing glare to remain single so that they may hold on to some kind of hope.

The news confirmed on July 3 by Eden 9 that studly actor Won Bin is, in fact, dating fellow actress Lee Na Young severed the heartstrings of many fans, forcing them to react in a rather odd way.

On fan pages and online communities across the internet comments have been left for the actor's close friend and heartthrob himself, Kang Dong Won, begging him to stay a 'public treasure' so that everyone can enjoy without torment.

What initially began as a joke, the term 'Kang Dong Won Public Treasure' soon rose to the most searched for phrase on Daum.

The trend continues with fans posting things like "Now that Won Bin and Zo In Sung are gone, all we have left is Kang Dong Won" and "Please Kang Dong Won, if you date, keep it a secret!"

"Kang Dong Won, follow in George Clooney's footsteps and be the ultimate bachelor for life!" said another fan.

Half joking and half serious, one post even read, "But Won Bin, Zo In Sung and Kang Dong Won must pass down their DNA for the sake of human kind."

Kang Dong Won has yet to respond to his fans' pleas, but we are sure he is enjoying the positive attention!

In the upcoming episode of ‘We Got Married’ global edition that will be shown on July 7th through cable channel MBC every1, Emma Wu (Gui Gui) and 2PM’s Taecyeon will be heading to a theme park to mark Chilseok (Korean traditional festival).

At the theme park, Emma thought of Zo In Sung and Song Hye Kyo in SBS TV drama ‘That Winter, The Winter Blows’. She then asked Taecyeon, “Let’s do it like in the drama, and have a cotton candy kiss photo.” But Taecyeon was clueless about it since he hasn’t watch the drama yet.

But they did eventually do it but the distance between the two was too wide due to the huge cotton candy. Emma then used her hands to make the cotton candy smaller, before the two snapped a photo of their cotton candy kiss.

The episode will also show Taecyeon and Emma relieving their stress through riding the rollercoaster and having fun with the water theme park attractions, and a surprise event for them.

SBS drama “That Winter, the Wind Blows” had it all – skilled and beautiful main actors Song Hye-kyo and Zo In-sung, top scriptwriter Noh Hee-kyung, and critically acclaimed producer Kim Kyu-tae. These three main elements came together to produce a drama that was not only strong in story but also visually mesmerizing. If you were a fan of the drama, you may have images that are still lingering in your mind. And many of those images will be set in the below locations that were key to the drama.

Oh Young lived in a magnificent house, befitting her status as heiress of a billionaire. You can guess how big is was from the fact that her maids and butler lived there too, and Soo and Jin-sung (Kim Beom) had their own rooms in the house although they entered Young’s life very suddenly. This house, with its beautiful European castle-like figure, is the arboretum Jade Garden in the Gangwon Province. If it seems familiar, it is because this was the fourth drama that has been shot there. As a place where Hwang Jung-eum and Noh Min-woo’s “Full House 2″ and Jang Keun-suk and Yoona’s “Love Rain” were shot, the place is becoming a new tourist spot for Hallyu fans. Young’s house was the visitors center of Jade Garden. The visitors center was where Young also greeted the mailman and injured Soo’s face by swinging her stick at him. However, while in the drama, the house was full of European-style furniture, in reality it is a souvenir shop that sells small gifts. And a restaurant, cafe and event hall are on the second floor. You think it won’t be fun to go there anymore because it’s different from how it was in the drama? Jade Garden is an arboretum. And they are prettiest in the spring.

The place that Oh Soo came up with his detailed plan to pay off more than 6.8 million dollars he was wrongly accused of stealing from a gangster, was not a dingy room in the basement of some building, but a coffee shop full of the sweet aroma of chocolate. And none other than the Nonhyun and Cheongdam branches of coffee shop franchise De Chocolate Coffee. But in the drama, the coffee shop didn’t serve just as the place where he set up his secretive plans. It set the stage for a variety of scenes including when Hee-sun (Jung Eun-ji) exposes Soo’s identity after becoming jealous of his feelings towards Young, when Mu-chul threatens Soo, and the place where Oh Young has her school reunion. Do you remember the scene where Soo and Young fed each other chocolates while sitting side by side to watch TV? That chocolate was from the chocolate set that De Chocolate Coffee prides itself in.

The year is riddled with news of celebrity romance and weddings. Won Bin-Lee Na Yong, Kim Tae Hee-Rain, Yoon Gye Sang-Lee Na Hee, Zo In Sung-Kim Min Hee are just a few examples. Ki Sung Yueng-Han Hye Jin, Jang Yoon Jeong-Do Kyung Wan, Seo Taeji-Lee Eun Song took the next step and went from dating to marriage. Topstar couple Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung are to be married this coming August.

It began with Kim Tae Hee and Rain. On January 1st, an entertainment medium released a photo of Kim Tae Hee and Rain on a date and reported that they had been dating for three months. According to the report, "They became close after shooting an ad in November of 2011 and their contact became more frequent after March when Rain was assigned to be a soldier. From September on they were a couple." The two admitted to their romance and became the first couple of 2013.

On February 22nd, Yun Gye Sang and Lee Na Hee admitted to their romance. Although rumors of their relationship spread in January when it was discovered that they left for Bali on the same day, at the time they denied the rumors, saying "They left separately for different schedules." But in January, it was revealed through their agency that "they are getting to know each other." Yun Gye Sang and lee Na Hee first met last year during the Pusan International Film Festival and became friends through mutual acquaintances.

On March 27th, soccer star Ki Sung Yueng admitted to his dating actress Han Hye Jin. He revealed the relationship through Twitter and said in an interview at Incheon Airport before departing: "It's not like a crime and I wanted to be open about it. On April 16th, H.O.T's Tony An and Girl's Day's Hyeri admitted to their romance. The two started dating in March with mutual interest and overcame the 16 year difference in age. Tony An and Hyeri had known each other through entertainment programs and started dating when Tony An pursued Hyeri during Girl's Day's comeback season.

On April 24th, news spread of Zo In Sung and Kim Min Hee's romance. The two met earlier in the year by coincidence and kept in touch, starting to date through mutual interest. Through the agency they announced that they had been "dating for 4 months." Zo In Sung had previously said on an interview about the final broadcast of 'That Winter, The Wind Blows' on SBS that he didn't have a girlfriend, surprising fans with news of his romance with Kim Min Hee.

On April 22nd, singer Jang Yoon Jeong and KBS anchor Do Kyung Wan announced their marriage. 'Jang Yun Jung's husband', KBS 35th class anchor Do Kyung Wan is currently working as a MC on 'Morning Forum-Saturday Family Calls' and 'Live Tong'. The two met through broadcast and maintained a serious relationship before deciding on marriage. They tied the knot on June 28th.

On May 16th, singer Seo Taeji announced his wedding with actress Lee Eun Sung. They met while shooting the music video of 'Bermuda Triangle' from Seo Taeji's 8th album, released in 2008. They have not revealed specific dates for their wedding. It has been revealed that they are currently preparing for their married life with Seo Taeji's parents at a newly built house in Seoul's Jongro-gu Pyongchang-dong.

On June 20th, soccer player Park Ji Sung and SBS anchor Kim Min Jee revealed their romance. Park Ji Sung said of their relationship: "We met for the first time in 2011 and started dating this May. We don't have plans for marriage yet."
