Was very happy with the fact that SHK won twice an acting awards through online voting in different annual awards as she really deserved it! ... but somehow I'm a little sad 

Does anyone know if Drama Fever Awards hold a ceremony in NY? If so, When is it gonna happen?Do they give trophies to the winners in different occasion? I mean some winners will be accepted the trophy through ceremony and some winners will be accepted through message video speech.  Kyo didn't make a record video as her message speech unlike other celebs who won an awards also. If Kyo didn't make it? Does it mean she's going to receive her award through ceremony soon? Ahhh really clueless to this DFA! Moreover, I know Soompi don't do but only through video for message speech.In Soompi, Sadly,Kyo wasn't able to do so as well. Song Hye-kyo supplies Toronto Museum with Korean guidebooks

Actress Song Hye-kyo and professor Seo Kyeong-deok who have been supplying Korean guidebooks to major museums and art galleries around the world, supplied them to the Royal Ontario Museum.

ROM in Toronto, Canada is one of the best natural history museums in the world that withholds over 6 million unique collections and it is one of the most important places to visit when visiting Toronto, Canada.

The Korean guidebooks that are being supplied this year are second in issue since 2015 have been redesigned. It introduces the collections in the museum and details about the museum as well.

Professor Seo claimed, "There are still many museums and art galleries in the world without Korean guidebooks. We want to aid in the convenience of Korean tourists who visit them".

"There are also many foreigners who don't know that the Korean language even exists. Placing Korean guidebooks in world famous museums like ROM will help to promote our language as well".

Song Hye-kyo said, "When I visit a foreign country museum but don't see a Korean guidebook, it's inconvenient. I will work harder to improve this".

The two have been supplying the New York Modern Museum, Boston Art Gallery and others with Korean guidebooks and video guides in Korea.

Seo and Song have constantly been working on supplying Korean language aid to provisional government office in China, Shanghai Yoon Bong-gil Memorial Hall, Ahn Chang-ho Memorial Hall and historical sites related to Korea in Tokyo as well as other Korean Independence movement sites.

someone spotted SHK attending the VIP premiere of  Song Yoon Ah husband's Movie, "Merciless", for sure she just sneak in directly inside the theatre and didnt pass the red carpet and photowall coz i havent seen her during the red carpet coverage just like with the other k stars like her labelmate PHS! can't remember when was the last time she attended the VIP premiere passing thru the red carpet coz usually fans would know that she is there when someone inside the theatre or k media spotted her , i guess she doesnt want the spotlight on her , she just wants to be like an ordinary moviegoer supporting the movie!

PRESIDENT MOON JAE-IN ON THAAD AND HALLYU: EFFORTS ARE ON TO LIFT CHINA’S BAN ON K-POP, K-DRAMA

Newly elected South Korean president Moon Jae-in has vowed to champion the cause of Hallyu stars and reinstate K-pop in China, where it has been banned for almost a year.

The Korean president has promised to discuss the situation with the Chinese government, and if all goes well, the blanket ban on Hallyu will be lifted.

Trouble between China and South Korea brewed last year when the latter agreed to deploy Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), a U.S Army anti-ballistic missile system. Unhappy with South Korea’s decision, China retorted by banning all things Hallyu. As a result, South Korean movies, dramas, and music albums were banned.

The situation remains the same even today. Nearly 31 South Korean entertainment projects were stopped, canceled, or delayed between March 16 and April 15, and the numbers only continue to grow.

This has led to a fall in ratings, and the South Korean entertainment industry suffered a huge loss.

A week ago, president Moon Jae-in met with a few South Korean artists at SM Town at Coex Artium in Seoul.

Kim Young-min, CEO of SM Entertainment, who has popular labels such as Girls’ Generation, Super Junior, and EXO, was also present at the event.

The president also met former teen pop star Kim Min-jong, Lee Teuk of the boy band Super Junior, and songwriter Kim Ea-na.

As reported by Meng News, Moon Jae-in stated that Hallyu has been the target of THAAD, and he aims to do his best to fix the issue by having discussions with China.

“China is such an important, big marketplace for Hallyu. I know many are experiencing difficulty because of the THAAD,” he said.

 

According to a report by Korea Herald last August, China’s state-owned CCTV reported that the Chinese State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television has instructed broadcasting firms to ban South Korean celebrities from making appearances on television entertainment shows.

This led to the cancellation of several fan meetings. Hallyu stars Kim Woo-bin and Bae Suzy, who played the leads in the K-drama Uncontrollably Fond, had to call off their fan meeting in China.

Recently, even So Ji-sub had difficulty hosting his fan meeting in China. The Hallyu actor, to commemorate his 20th anniversary since debut, had planned to do an Asia tour to have a meet-and-greet with fans. However, he hasn’t gotten a go-ahead from the Chinese government.

The agency planning his fan meeting said, “In China, events sometimes get delayed or canceled. However, this fan meeting was planned earlier on, so we didn’t have any kind of problems before.” The agency is guessing that this is another rebuttal against THAAD.

“The situation worsened, so the fan meeting may be canceled entirely,” they said, according to a report by All K-Pop.

After the ban, Hallyu singers like Psy and Hwang Chi-yeol, appeared on Chinese shows with their faces blurred out, or completely edited out.

The talent agency that manages actors like Lee Kwang-soo, Kim Beom, and Kim Ji-won had to endure tremendous losses last year.

“The company has earned not a penny from China due to the political row over THAAD. We did occasionally receive inquiries for advertisements until the end of last year but no contract was actually signed,” said Lee Jin-seong, chief of King Kong by Starship, according to a report by Korea Times.

Actors like Park Bo-gum, who starred in Moonlight Drawn By Clouds, and Gong Yoo and Lee Dong-wook, who starred in Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, and Lee Min-ho, who played the lead in Legend of the Blue Sea, were also the victims of the THAAD fallout.

Actor Song Joong-ki, who captivated the Chinese audience in the K-drama Descendants of the Sun, was also a victim of the Hallyu ban. According to news website Sporela, he was zeroed in to play a role in Zhejiang TV’s upcoming wuxia drama Legend of Shushan but was dropped at the last minute.

A handful of A-listers, including Jun Ji-hyun, Song Hye-kyo, Kim Soo-hyun, and Park Hae-jin were not as affected as the rest of the community. These stars appeared in outdoor billboards and printed media. None of them appeared on television though.

Among other top-tier stars who remained active in China over the past few years were Kim Tae-hee, Song Seung-heon, Rain, Kwon Sang-woo, Son Tae-young, Lee Joon-gi, Kim Ha-neul, Park Si-hoo, and Kim Beom.

Hopefully, after the newly elected South Korean president Moon Jae-In holds talks with China, it will be business as usual in Hallyu town.

According to fans who saw her new haircut in person, her short bobbed hair accentuated her sharp and clear facial features, and made her face look even smaller than it already was.

They also explained that her haircut gave her a more sophisticated and elegant image, compared to when her hair was longer.

This is hardly a new hairstyle for her, as Song Hye Kyo sported short hair for a while in the 2008 KBS drama, The World That They Live In, and she seems to have returned to the short bobbed cut with bangs.

Published: Just now Song Hye Kyo and her mother were revealed to have been blackmailed and threatened by someone she had worked with.

 

In a recent episode of Channel A’s celebrity investigation show, Poongmon Show, it was revealed that Song Hye Kyo’s mother had received a letter in January 2005, blackmailing her for ₩250 million KRW (approximately $223,507 USD).

 

The letter claimed that the blackmailer had prepared large vats of hydrochloric acid and hallucinogens to pour on their bodies if they didn’t send him the money.

“If you don’t send me 250 million KRW, then I’ll pour acid on you and Song Hye Kyo’s body.

If you don’t want to see your daughter’s body rotting and melting for the rest of your life, then you should really think about it.

I’ve already prepared large amounts of hydrochloric acid and hallucinogens.”

Upon receiving the letter, Song Hye Kyo’s mother immediately moved Song Hye Kyo from her house to a different location and reported it to the police.

Following a police investigation, it was discovered that the blackmailer was her previous manager – whom she lived with for three years.

According to police reports, Song Hye Kyo’s mother wailed uncontrollably upon finding out who the blackmailer was.

 

Song Hye Kyo’s mother initially believed that someone who had asked her family for financial help may have been the culprit.

Upon finding out it was her daughter’s own manager, her mother refused to believe it and claimed, “That’s just not possible. I don’t believe it.“

The panel members also couldn’t hide their shock, especially because actors and actresses usually consider their manager as family and often spend all of their time with them.

Despite the previous manager’s threats and blackmail, Song Hye Kyo’s mother expressed that she didn’t want to press charges because she believed he would never have done such a thing.

According to sources, Song Hye Kyo’s previous manager was let go from the agency for not reporting the commission he earned from her photo shoots and spending it randomly.

After he was laid off, he struggled financially and moved around, sleeping at various Korean jjimjilbangs (public baths).

During his struggles, he claims he thought of Song Hye Kyo and how well she was doing and resorted to blackmailing and threatening her and her family for money.

Beauty wonderland event with Song Hye Kyo will be held in various programs such as beauty class introducing beauty tips and correct usage of cosmetics ▲ question and answer time for Song Hye Kyo to answer directly to fans' questions and a quiz event to present beauty products. 

The Shilla Duty Free Shop invites 100 people to 'Beauty Wonderland with Song Hye Kyo' through a lottery for customers visiting Seoul and customers participating in Facebook events. 

A total of 40 people (including one accompanying person) are selected from the lottery at the Seoul branch. After purchasing more than $ 1, you can apply for entry at the information desk in the reception desk until May 12 by receiving the application for attendance at the information desk on the first floor of the basement.
