On a recent broadcast, panelists discussed Chinese actress Zhang Yuqi, who reportedly gained fame after receiving plastic surgery to look like Song Hye Kyo.

After showing some side-by-side comparisons, panelists were shocked and impressed by the similarities between the two actresses. Even netizens chimed in on the similarities between Zhang Yuqi and Song Hye Kyo, with many complimenting the Chinese actress on her success.

Choi Jung Ah, a panelist on the show stated that Zhang Yuqi specifically asked the surgeon to make her look like Song Hye Kyo.

She stated, “Zhang Yuqi went through facial shape readjustment and double eyelid surgery in Korea and began acting again in China as the second Song Hyekyo and is now top class.”

[+ 414, – 24] It’s a feat to look like Song Hye Kyo even after plastic surgery. There’s a ton of people who can’t even come close to Song Hye Kyo after plastic surgery. She really is pretty now even considering plastic surgery.

This is totally unfounded.  If this had any evidence, Chinese newspapers would be all over it because plastic surgery is still not as common and completely accepted like it is in Korea (thankfully).  Korean newspapers have more leeway in printing this because it is more difficult for them to be sued internationally.

 

Claiming she copied the Korean actress and had surgery, which also implies her beauty is not natural, is just another example of the Korean inferiority complex remedied by their incessant need to be the “original” and “innovators” of Asia (claims to invent everything) and delusions about being "the most beautiful”.  Koreans know inside that their beauty is artificial, which is why it is always such a touchy subject for them.  It is also why they are always so boastful about being not just good looking, but the best looking in Asia.  But whether through surgery or a lot of makeup or deceptive clothing, they know it’s for most Koreans it's artificial.

 

Thus, they have to hate and make excuses when reality rears it’s ugly head and puts them in their place.  Just look at those “Koreans react” videos online.  When they see pretty people from another nation in Asia that they know a Korean will never look like, they make comments like “That does not look like a typical [person from that country]”, or “That person must have gotten surgery”, or “That person has to be mixed [race]”.  The mixed race comment takes the person out of competition for being a good looking Asian and then they can fall back on the Gaijin complex they inherited from Japan.

 

Personally I don’t think they look very much alike.  Maybe in a certain angle slightly.  (As a personal opinion I think Zhang Yuqi’s face has more defined features and she looks more like a sexy woman as opposed to a cute teenager)

wow as expected overload of beautiful photos of SHK , as usual she is in her classic fashion style , some may find it way too simple , old fashion or conservative but I guess its  the safest fashion statement for her rather than seeing her in ultra high fashion or avant garde attire besides she doesn't have too much frills in her outfit , its her super beautiful face that must stand out and not to be overshadowed by what she wears or with too much accessories ! well as usual she is super overly beautiful at least for now she opted for printed dress rather than the usual white dress!

Exclusive: “Descendants of the Sun” Press Conference

With the much-anticipated “Descendants of the Sun” premiere coming right around the corner, the drama held a press conference on February 22. The main cast including Song Joong Ki, Song Hye Kyo, Jin Goo, Kim Ji Won, and SHINee’s Onew introduced their characters and answered questions from reporters. Director Lee Eung Bok and writers Kim Eun Sook and Kim Won Seok joined them as well.

Song Joong Ki expressed enthusiasm for his role and the drama. He confidently asserted that he knows the drama is fun and asked viewers to look forward to it. Likewise, Song Hye Kyo shared how impressed she was with the script before deciding to take the role. Although they will be main focus of the drama, many are interested in Jin Goo and Kim Ji Won’s romance as well.

Jin Goo made spectators laugh with his soldier-like stance and image. Actress Kim Ji Won also revealed her thankfulness to be a part of the drama as she previously worked with writer Kim Eun Sook in “Heirs.” Kim Ji Won said she’s happy to be able to try out different types of characters and hair styles.

Onew was definitely the mood-maker at the press conference. With his comical entrance and bright energy, he made everyone smile. He thanked his seniors and fellow actors for taking care of him on set. Ever humble, Onew also commented that he thinks he has room for improvement and hopes to become a better actor with his following projects.
