What I suspect is that after JH's incompetent and sloppy display in the kitchen in The dragon club, his wife probably decided that he needs to start learning basic cooking and to contribute in the kitchen, so I guessing he was assigned breakfast, where he can cause the least damage :joy:

    I think if I'm not wrong, the subtitle said "toast" & he said he wakes at 6am so it's gotta be breakfast. Haha!

     

    Do you recall, many years ago in 3D 2N (I think), he said his wife doesn't eat the things he cooked. Now I know why. Would you eat the things he cooked when it landed "other places" first before it landed on the frying pan? LOL.

    Ya you're right. It depends very much on which unit being posted to & what's the vocation. Of course if being posted to Commando, Infantry, Artillery, Armor.... :sweatingbullets: Medics also depends what type of medics. If combat medics also have to go to battlefield. Those who are very free ones usually aren't the ones at the front line.

    I definitely agree. I feel the guys really need to do military to "grow" up. At home too comfortable. Only when in the battlefield (during training), eating those combat ration, build your own latrine in the field, didn't shower 5-7 days....all the tough training stuff, is a good experience for the young chaps.

    I do believe his fear of water is real. I'm wondering if any of them even get motion sickness. Afew hours of sitting like this is enough to get motion sickness cos is a yacht. The yacht movement is more obvious than being in a big ship. It may look like quite nice sitting like this overlooking the sea. But in real, if any disaster were to happen, there's nothing left right centre front back except the sea. :blink:

    Actually I also wonder why he is so into the Kinsey thingy. But that's probably the only reading material available in the military? Hahaha! IDK about SK military, cos the guys could enlist any time before they turn 30. But in my country, all guys (fit or unfit) have to enlist when they completed their Junior College (as in the year (not the month) they turn 19) or completed their Polytechnic (the year they turn 20) for 2 years in the military before they're allowed to pursue a University degree. Only with exception cases (case to case basis) an excuse is allowed for delayed enlistement. So you see, all these young chap guys together, what do they talk about? No one is gonna talk about physics or math....

    Is this your 1st time watching MF? If you see my profile pic, it's a pic of Pil Joo. I love him with sleeve rolled up! Hahaha! And MF is my top fav drama. 1 always have one question, is it the drama is designed like this - as in people walk in & out of Pil Joo's bedroom as they please. I don't recall many people ever knocking the door first.

    Exactly! I wanted to get his autograph since he's really so near but I had no stationery with me at that moment. If I had, I would say please autograph at the back of my tee shirt. Ahahaha! Really you know, when that person just suddenly is infront of you, you get confused not knowing what to do!

    Thanks so so much for the spoiler. I got my answer. I more or less "seen" the movie. Last night I heard the radio station introduced the movie (DJ did a good job like almost telling the whole story) & @azureblue7gave me the answer to what I wanted. Save me $$ of going into the cinema, hahaha!!

     

    As for the translation, I wanted to translate but when I watched the interview, my gosh, the words were so SMALL that it takes a toil on my Old Flower Eyes :isannoyed:I need magnifying glass!

    but what bad for me are plots and his characters though. I have no problem with his acting. 

    I might consider IRIS2 good if they have a good ending but since they made him die so...  

    I guess all of us here have no problem with his acting. If we have, we wouldn't be in this thread. It's the plot that doesn't make sense or don't know what kind of storyline that is. I voted WOL as my 1st choice! Other choices of mine were TMWYS, Gaekju, Tazza & Robbers.

    Ok folks, I'm surprised that FTLY is picked as one of the "worst drama". I thought only @Prettysup& myself doesn't really like the storyline of FTLY.

     

    WOL still top the list, FTLY got the same percentage as BPP, TMWYS, Voice, Gaekju, Chuno, Robbers, SSBG. No one picked Iris as one of the "worst drama" to my surprise.

    Thank you so much for this poll! I'm so happy that WOL top the list (hahaha)! My wicked mind hope it stayed top of the list :D This drama is everything wrong for me. Probably because I (we) just crossed over from MF where PJ was such a formidable person, in WOL, Chil Sung character was so inferior to PJ + I also thought JH acting wasn't as good as he was in MF, the same for Lee Mi Sook. Chil Sung character was (to me) a cartoon gangster. The FL of the drama irritated me alot, not the actress, but the character in which she acted as. I literally fast forwarded to Chil Sung scenes only. And I wonder why did the writer make Chil Sung meet the Vet 4x & nothing else after that?? She said if they meet 5x she would take it that they are destined to be together so what's the point of meeting 4x when the writer didn't have the intention to make them together??
