    Finally, I'm back! Done with all the corporate events at work, submitted my proposals for next year and caught up with ALL the dramas that I am watching...

    Terribly sorry for the long absence 미안해.

     

    Anyway, I am glad that finally Jianny will get more screen time now that she is "back".  And thank God that it was Hyuk who found her and stood by her side. Spoke sense to her and convinced her to head back. Think he is putting her up at his noona's place.

     

    DK is a complete mess considering he comes from a chaebol family.

    JS is a... whatchamacallit... pain in the patootie.

    The maknaes in the drama are a hoot to watch for comedic relief.

    The parents are disastrous; no trust whatsoever between each married couple.

    JT and SA are unfortunately forgettable, really.

    It would be interesting to see her morph into someone in that era.

    Also great thanks to @jeonghyang for the gifs! How in the whole world are you that FAST? ㅋㅋㅋ

     

    Thank you too to fellow recappers who do this without fail each week such as @uglypearl @yoyo_icecube @mushforbrains @Rania Zeid and @xxPeepsxx! My weekdays were so much fun, thanks to you guys! And now, I gotta find new drama(s) to keep me occupied :lol:

     

    To @gilaswan, I love reading your analysis! And ya, I get your excitement about today's "single" news. LOL :D

     

    This drama has been tremendously awesome for me. I know some may not agree about acting-idol being cast in such a high profile drama. But I love all the characters here. So, thanks to the actors who brought life to these characters, I enjoyed it immensely.

     

    Great cinematography, solid plot and storyline, love how they intertwine the different genres in one drama seamlessly, interject humour amidst the suspense, the SLS is strong in this one but I was not overtly disappointed at how WT did not get the girl.

     

    So many lessons to be learnt from this drama. I like how they set actual movie titles as the theme of each episode. And the OST is a winner too!

     

    Definitely one of my fave dramas in 2017!

     

    I certainly hope to see you guys in upcoming dramas. Till then, good night sleepyheads and live well :wub:

    Eomoni is now at WT's place, placing food in his fridge.

    She was drinking coffee and holding something, when a rider almost bumped into her.

    SW's classmate saved her and she thanked him.

     

    The murdered assistant's father was watching them in his cab.

    Apparently, JC's boss knocked into his cab but all is good.

     

    The barista girl was watching them.

    She then saved HM from getting the bouquet of flowers from being crushed.

     

    SW's gf was watching them and smiled.

    They are now at the garden wedding.

     

    SW's classmate was fiddling with his tie before he threw it on the ground.

    SW's gf then picked it up ala femme fatale style ㅋㅋㅋ

     

    It was Prosecutor Lee and Prosecutor Son's wedding.

    JC was sleeping when he heard HJ's voice.

    He wrapped himself in his comforter. 

    She is packing his books in a luggage.

     

    WT is in his apartment, unshaven and reading in the dark.

    HJ and JC came by to pass him books and food which Eomma prepared for him.

    HJ pinched him for saying something stupid ㅋㅋㅋ

    JC then acted all cute when he went over to play with Robin.

     

    Prosecutor Lee is in the bus as he loaned his red car to JC again.

    They were talking about a ring.

     

    WT is seen reading books... is he going to be a prosecutor too?? Heh :lol:

     

    SW ran to the mart to tell his friend some good news.

    SW then received a call from the gf (forgot her name. LOL!)

     

    So the notes on the window all came true, good news.

     

    Some time has passed.

     

    HJ hair is long now and they are setting the table.

    JC opened a drawer and found the notes when Eomma was making a comparison between WT and JC.

    Eomma is making breakfast, news about YB was being shown on TV.

    HJ woke up with a smile and most of the post it notes that were once on her window are now gone.

     

    She wrote another note and stick it in the window.

     

    HJ, Eomma, JC and SW are having breakfast.

     

    There was a shot of the new note (could not catch what it said... sorry!)

     

    HJ and JC are walking in the park, to work.

    Conversing when she clasped her fingers with his.

     

    YB is being interrogated by JC now.

    Still as sleazy and pompous as ever.

    Scene to when the younger Mr Choi woke up in the hospital...

     

    Saying that he needed to meet someone much later on.

     

    At the funeral parlour, they were paying their last respects.

    There was a paper bag which contained envelopes addressed to JC.

     

    Scenes alternating to that of the younger days.

    Last time, it was JC following HJ. 

    But now, it was HJ following JC.

    Back to the same room where he first met her and that baseball.

    JC was on the floor, crying.

    He looked up and saw HJ.

    She then sat beside him, just like how he did back then.

    HJ looked at him, inched closer and he burrowed his head in her chest to cry.

    Exactly the same, years ago when they were younger.

    JC passed the documents to Prosecutor Lee and stepped out.

    He saw YB and Mr Choi outside, YB shouting away.

     

    Mr Choi then saw a fallen red maple leaf and remembered the same lead falling from the sky when he was hospitalised.

     

    Then he saw JC walking towards him.

    Oh richard simmons!

    He gets knocked down by a car and JC is running towards him.

    His head is bleeding profusely.

    He remembers the time when he was hospitalised again.

    He opened his eyes and JC was cradling him.

    YB is taken away by the security.

    It was break time and JC's hand is still trembling.

     

    YB's lawyer said something and he left the court room.

    YB was calling out to him.

     

    HJ was running, looking for WT when she overheard the sunbae's voice.

    He was asking WT why did he do it.

    WT was explaining himself and began tearing.

    So did the sunbae and HJ.

    He put on his hat and saluted his sunbae.

    They then hugged while crying.

    HJ is crying too while standing from afar.

     

    YB is in the gents and washing his hands, telling his reflection that things are OK.

    His passport and air ticket fell when he dig into his coat.

     

    The female prosecutors are investigating and making a phone call.

    Looks like YB is trying to flee the country.

    Prosecutor Lee received a message and he started kissing his phone.

    Mr Choi approached them from behind and startled Prosecutor Lee.

    He thanked them and went his way.

    JC was just looking at him, walking away.

     

    Outside, YB approached Mr Choi and started shouting.

    Seems like Mr Choi is telling YB to admit his mistakes.

    Then he envisioned himself, talking to his younger brother.

    Mr Choi called out to JC and Prosecutor Lee.

    Telling them about how Lawyer Lee gave him a ride in the morning.

    While getting into the car, he saw a briefcase in the back seat.

    Prosecutor Lee then went to the female prosecutors to tell them something, YB was looking at them.

     

    WT is now taking his stand as a witness.

    JC handed out a paper with the two umbrellas at the murder scene.

     

    JC is asking him about the colour now.

    HJ looks worried and his sunbae was shaking his head.

     

    He is nervous as he remembers what HJ told him.

    WT then revealed that he is unable to differentiate the colours.

    Everybody is shocked.

     

    YB and his lawyers are sniggering at this.

     

    JC dropped his papers on the floor.

    His left hand was trembling when he bent down to retrieve the papers, before he used his right hand to do so.

     

    YB's lawyer was asking questions before JC intervened.

    WT is describing the umbrellas found at the scene.

    He pointed out that the tie that YB is wearing now is green, whereas JC's gown has the red robe.

    Prosecutor Lee then showed the pictures of the umbrellas on the monitor screen and everyone gasped.

    WT's description was spot on.

    @meechuttso  I'll be back soon enough, allow me to catch up with the last two episodes :wink:

    I finally watched Ep 20.

    There are so many things that I want to point out and get things off my chest.

    I will pen my thoughts here instead of the MGL thread (that place is like a ticking bomb!).

     

    My gut feeling was right about Jianny that she would run away.

    Yes, she worried a lot about what was going to happen to her parents.

    She even thought of begging for the Choi's parents mercy to forgive her parents, albeit all on her own.

     

    There were so many things which she did/achieved on her own and not many recognised that.

    And even if they did, it was far too late eg. DK realising that she wanted to ask for his help but all he did was RANT about his/her feelings and how they were not of equal societal status.

    DK, please grow up and be a REAL man for once?

    *sigh* <_<

     

    And Ji Soo, how do I begin with that girl?

    She is immersed in her five stages of grief and not thinking rationally at this point of time.

    And I cannot wait till she realises what she has done because assumption is the mother of all f**k ups!

     



    The five stages, denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance are a part of the framework that makes up our learning to live with the one we lost. They are tools to help us frame and identify what we may be feeling. But they are not stops on some linear timeline in grief. Not everyone goes through all of them or in a prescribed order. 

    JS is clearly in the anger stage right now. 

    And she would be even more devastated knowing that JA was/is Hyuk's first love.

    Oh Korean drama God, why make things so bloody complicated?

     

     

    I will share more once I am done with Ep 21 and 22 now that I have the time to concentrate on my weekly dosage of Kdrama.

    I thought it could be her.

    And the name saved in his mobile was Cutie, so it was difficult to pinpoint who.

    Then I saw this.

    Hahahaha... sometimes when the opposites always argue/bicker with each other so often, they always end up being together.

    But thank god for Prosecutor Lee, indeed a comic relief!

    Especially with his disguises... hehehe :D
