This. This is what I'm saying. Look how different the vibe is between these two photos.
In their presscon photo, there's still this air of posing for the camera. And there was still a bit of stiffness and formality to their posture and body language, despite the fact that they were already quite comfortable with each other then.
In the second photo, you can clearly see that their body language is more relaxed and they're already leaning towards each other. But what's very telling to me are their facial expressions. Their smiles here look more real. It reaches their eyes. And you feel the happiness. I personally think that SSH is a lot handsomer in this photo. And SJH is just radiantly beautiful.
I dunno. Maybe it's just me and my shipper lens.

I almost answered back at someone who mockingly told me at the heonhye IG "What are you, 10?" when I tried to explain that it's quite common in K-Ent for celebrities to either deny dating rumors or evade questions pertaining to their personal lives. I had to hold myself back and remind myself that it's going to be a very long journey for this ship and along the way, we'll encounter people who will mock our OTP and shippers like us. This is mainly because overseas fans, for one, leverage their expectations of these couples to that of their own cultures and traditions. So when something goes amiss or does not come out as expected, like in the case of the M&M Q&As, people are quick to mock and criticize without so much as of a consideration that the event did not solely focus on one person or any of the guy's personal lives. And even if it did, SSH, being the K-Ent veteran that he is, would either have had the questions filtered through his agency or know how to answer without revealing anything that he might deem improper for the situation.
That being said, I'll be in this ship for as long as there are crumbs and for as long as he doesn't get paired with another actress who, heaven forbid, would have the same level of interaction with him as he did with our SJH.
Plus, oh my Victory Contents... still dropping DM photos a month and two days after its finale? I have never seen this with tvN! It feels like they're just seeking for validation and justification for another project for the two!
@Call Me By My Real Name I know right? And Victory Contents is so consistent in releasing these photos. I dare to hope that if things go fabulously when DM premieres in Japan and other countries, we might get them to release all the BTS clips in their files.
I personally think that one major reason why this drama didn't seem to be as popular as it should have been was because MBC didn't employ the strategies that networks like tVN do, which is to partner with the likes of Netflix and allow dramas that are airing in their local channels to be available simultaneously to a wider international audience via these streaming sites. Look what that strategy did to CLOY, and more recently, to It's Okay Not To Be Okay.
In any case, if DM eventually gets released via Netflix, I'm sure it will enjoy a fresh surge in popularity. SJH has already established herself through CLOY, and of course, SSH is already a well-known Hallyu star.
In the meantime, I just want to see them together again. There's just something about them together that gives me all the warm fuzzies.

Check out this MV to Paul Kim's song. It's such a nice song and suits them perfectly. I think I saw a shortened version of this in IG but this shows the whole song.
@hrkharis I initially thought that photo was edited too. I looked at their linked hands closely and thought, wow! What a brilliant edit! Turns out it's real! I can't wait for other photos of them. And I'm so excited to watch their promotional interview in Japan in October.

@Mcpie he doesn't seem to date much, or at least seems very, very discreet about it.
Meaning, we must expect a long, frustrating road ahead of us shippers, full of speculation, very little in the way of hard evidence. If SSH is very serious about it this time, more than the others, then he will be very protective of SJH. More than her, he's more familiar with the risks of dating for Korean celebrities, especially those who've achieved a certain level fame. Unfortunately for his personal life, SSH is one of those celebrities.

@SexyDolceVita ahhhh. That lovely BTS from Oh Hye Won's camera. I'm sure all of us shippers will be forever grateful to her for capturing those playful but tender moments between them. Of all the BTS that I've seen of SSH and SJH, that's probably the one that convinced me that they actually like each other for real. Most of the time, it was more on SSH's side while SJH was a willing recipient of his attentions and antics. But that was the first time I actually saw her being as touchy with him as he was with her. They were actually very touchy towards each other there. And the way they looked at each other in that BTS, there was just so much going on between them and it was like there wasn't anyone looking at them at all. Either they were playing to the camera or just didn't really care anymore to hide what they felt, especially if, from the looks of it, everyone who's part of DM seem to be aware of what's going on anyway. Not surprising, as this was a BTS of one of the scenes from the finale. By that time, whatever might have been growing between them had clearly progressed.

Going through the photos of SSH over at IG, his earlier ones and those from his recent Tiktok event, he really seems to be more of Kim Hae kyung in real life and not so much of that bad-boy-bohemian-fashion-icon type he sometimes portrays in his photo shoots. He seems so "square" in reality but it's quite endearing.

Hi @fiona628 yes they do. I actually think SJH's facial expression in the script reading photo has an even closer vibe to that black and white photo of SSH's mom.
I miss these two. Every time I watch my favorite scenes of them, I look at them with my shipper lens now and it becomes more obvious to me that their dynamic as KHK and WDH was actually fueled by their real-life dynamic as SSH and SJH. I firmly believe that something beautiful had developed between them by the time the drama ended. The only other KDrama couple I recall shipping this hard was Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun in "Goblin".

Delulu people like us have razor sharp eyes and minds that can see beyond the obvious. Even something as seemingly meaningless as SSH and SJH standing beside each other becomes the subject of our analysis. I just noticed that SJH resembles SSH’s mom in that script reading photo with SSH. They say if a man is close to his mom, then he will naturally gravitate towards someone who unconsciously reminds him of her. He’ll feel comfortable with that person. Maybe that’s why he immediately felt comfortable with SJH and likes her very much.
On the Tiktok event, his APink dance was cute and funny. It somewhat made him seem more human and quite adorable coz he doesn’t seem to dance very well.
The way he looked and acted there reminded me so much of Kim Hae-kyung. I’m sure WDH/SJH was laughing while watching him. -

Been checking out the clips from the Tiktok event. SSH looks so happy and lighthearted. Whatever hurt he may have gone through before DM, he seems to have recovered very well. I really hope we have SJH to thank for, in particular.
Btw, someone over at one of the IGs posted the end part of the rooftop proposal and said that SSH kisses SJH's hair in that scene. I didn't notice it when I watched but I guess coz that part was already shot a bit far. The one who posted said their last lines during the hug sounded like ad libs. If this last part was mostly ad libs, then it looked so natural for them to do that.

I really think DM eventually ended up becoming the dramatization of their real-life relationship, and KHK and WDH the embodiment of their own feelings. I'm usually very pragmatic and objective where drama couples are concerned but what went on in those BTS just can't be denied.

@airgelaal I don't think so either. Maybe that conference room in MBC just happens to display the promotional materials of its dramas and DM just happened to be one of its recent projects.
I personally would prefer to see them working together in another project of a totally different genre. And hopefully it's a movie. I don't really see any other story direction that can be covered by a season 2 of DM (unless it would be a retelling of how DM should have been minus the exes) although I will love Hae-kyong and Do-hee always.

I also rarely (or at least avoid) shipping actors in real life. I remember for example how I loved the chemistry of Lee Sun Gyun and Lee Ji Eun/IU in "My Mister" and a lot of viewers shared the same feeling. I was delighted whenever I saw BTS photos of them at the wrap up party. But it never occurred to me nor did I ever think that I was seeing them as a real-life couple. I was always seeing their characters.
On the other hand, with SSH and SJH , it's totally different. I love them as KHK and WDH and saw the fire and electricity between them in their scenes together. But that dynamic remained evident to me even in their BTS clips and in fact, even more so. It's like they were playing themselves all throughout the drama and their characters were their alter egos.
I agree with @nyzah13 that SSH's declaration in SJH's BTS cam that he really likes her...he's happy and honored to be with her and that he means it...that was a very courageous thing to do, especially given how the Korean entertainment industry reacts to any hint of dating between actors.
Maybe they're just being discreet on how they will take this moving forward.

SJH has nice legs. Not too thin but long and shapely, the kind that looks nice with skirts. Too bad she never really wore stylish clothes as WDH. I would have wanted to see her all dressed up and see KHK’s shock. Hahaha.
Almost 4 weeks since the drama ended and I still miss them. I decided to check out the MV of “Midnight Cinderella” again and I still got the same flutter when I saw the scenes of KHK arriving at the camping site, and when he looked at WDH from across the street before he formally introduced himself to her.
By the way, did you guys see their coordinated polkadot shirts over at heonhye_couple IG? Their clothes and their pose looked so much alike it was uncanny. Are their stylists playing with us?

@huckleberrymoonriver SJH was in Snow Lotus? I watched that drama coz I found the premise interesting, plus I wanted to see Lee Ji Ah in a drama again, having last seen her in "Story of The First King's Four Gods". Wow. I've got to check out "Snow Lotus" again.
"Kim Soo Ro" looks interesting and she looks so beautiful in sageuk attire. I think I'll watch that one. I wish I could see her and SSH in a sageuk.

I hope this Aunt will have her own baby as well..Wow. I think it's good and advantageous for Asian actors to learn English because it can widen their audience and give them more opportunities. I'm Asian and I do believe that actors like SSH and SJH (and other Asian actors) should be more widely known and the gift of their acting skills shared to non-Asians too. More fans for them is always a good thing.

I've started watching ep 1 of SSH's "The Player". Looks to be a lot of fun. Not sure yet about "Black" and his other past works. I've seen clips of "Black" and I don't feel any sort of tension between him and Go Ara, though I liked her well enough in the drama "Haechi".
As for SJH, does she have any past project that's not so sad? I think most of her works were straight drama/melodramas. I'm not really into that.

I was just thinking again of the kind of projects that SSH and SJH can possibly work on together in the future, apart from an action/drama film. I remembered the film "Me Before You" starring Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin, and I thought maybe they can do something like it. But it would be very sad and heartbreaking, though, so I'm not sure how the viewers will take it. But I'm sure they can nail the angst.
Oh, and among the things I wish we saw in the drama, I would have wanted a scene of them actually dancing after they became a couple. I would have loved to see Hae-kyung's fantasy come true.

@moomoo I think SSH was just teasing SJH again. She did tease him before that, saying he was just being nice to her with the fan because the BTS camera was on. So maybe he pretended not to be nice in front of the BTS camera this time, which resulted in a cute pout/ duck face from her.

my theory is that the more quiet they are, the more likely it is that they like each other for real. I think if we see them featuring each other on their social media accounts, it can only mean that they're not worried about dating rumors because they're only really friends.
I think SSH would be more careful about going public this time, after what happened with his last relationship. His declaration on SJH's BTS camera might be the last that we'll hear of it until they're either about to get married or they've broken up.
As for SJH, she seems like an extremely private person offcam. Between her and SSH, she seems more unused to dealing with the public eye. If he really likes her, I think he would probably be quite protective of her and wouldn't want to subject her to the scrutiny of the media if ever they were dating.

I sure hope so. "Coffee With Me" is a nice song too. SSH seems more of a ballad, pop-jazz kind of guy. Having watched videos of him as himself, I realize that KHK is really very much like his real self.
In the meantime, I'm checking out his other series "The Player". Looks to be a lot of fun to watch. Gives me a similar vibe as Kim Nam Gil's "The Fiery Priest". SSH suits the role of a con artist. I've read comments from some DM fans who actually wish to have a season 2 of this series with SJH playing a role of a prosecutor. She'd be so bada** and cool in that role. And I can only imagine the sexual tension between them.

@Call Me By My Real Name I want to see all the photos from this photo shoot. I'm sure there are a lot. And maybe a couple of BTS photos from it and from the interview as well. If there's anything I've learned about SSH and SJH, their BTS interactions are more romantic than their onscreen ones.
