All the pictures of our Oppa SJS from the AmFar had him oozing with sexiness, charm, confidence and over the top handsomeness!!!!  I think I'm having nose bleed from our So Ganzi!  No other man can look this good!!  His future wife will be one super lucky woman!  

By the way, is the lady with short hair in the picture below his business manager Ms Kim? She looks similar the the pics taken at the airport and the motor show.  

@mathiyou mentioned that our oppa has lasik on his eyes, but I've noticed that he wears glasses from time to time?  Is he still slightly short sighted?  Lastly,  I love his dedication to his company, how he wore a 51K pin on his jacket during the motor show.  I would love to gift him 51K handcrafted cuff links but perhaps many fans would have done so before!

Our SJS's eyes are his "trademark" and also the things bother him the most. I couldn't find out which year exactly he had LASIK surgery. However, based on what dear Sarvin shared on 12/03/2012:

 

"SJS was nearsighted but he received Lasik eye surgery a few years ago for better eyesight and he doesn't have to wear for eyesight. So, we have sometimes seen Jisub wearing lensless glasses just for fashion since Lasik surgery but these days, he wears glasses with lens. So, I wonder if his eyesight is falling again. Of course, I don't know whether he just wears glasses for fashion or his eyesight is falling"

 

My friend, there are a number of patients experience a regression after LASIK, some of them found it's okay, some have to wear prescription eyeglasses for specific activities such as driving at night or reading a lot...

About this, I have my own oppinion. I hope all Jisubbers here don't mind if I write it. Ofcourse Jisubbers, you have your own oppinion that may different from me. It really doesn't matter.  I only try to be honest.

I wonder why I feel that media always try to associate YSH with So Ji Sub. I thought it is weird. For example ,in middle an interview with Highcut 2014, media suddenly asked about YSH, when they were talking about SJS's carreer. It looked like a question that fall from the sky.  I feel the media is too imposing to bring up YSH through SJS's big names. For me, personally, they did not similar each other both from physical or path of carreer. So I always think why the media not let YSH grown with his own character without having to associate with SJS. This is very different from SJS and SSH. In fact they are like brothers, wheter the media want to write or not. 

It does not mean that I do not like YSH, no. His acting is pretty good. But without associating with SJS I thought he would be able to develop optimally.

I knew that there is also a star that always take SJS's adv if the contract had ended. If it happened just once maybe it was a coincidence. but if it many times, it seems like he want to intentionally plagiarized SJS's image. I think it won't work. People do not like repetition, do they ? 

For me So Ji Sub may not a perfect actor but he is the one and only....a limited edition ?

And its okay about Doojoon! Him and So Ji Sub are different! Each owns a certain aura and not everyone has to like it  I like Doojoon for his cheerful and boyish charms and Jisub for his manly and dark charms!

I was re-watching Always last week and then I remember how these two interviews were on my translation to-do list. I think these interviews gave you a better insight on So Ji Sub's point of view on how he looks at his career and his perception in love. Interviews are from Baidu Sojisubar and is translated by 移动的荷尔蒙. Enjoy!

Actor So Ji Sub portrays a man "that can purely sacrifice his life for the woman he loves". Probably no one will object this saying. In the TV drama "Sorry, I Love You", he was able to draw tears from numerous female viewers and in this movie "Always", he and Han Hyo Joo is up for the challenge for producing another heart-wrenching love story.

Q: This is the first time for you to be in a love story based movie, what's the reason for starring in it?

A: Although it's only a very simple love story, but it moves me. I thought it was time for me to be in this kind of movies. But at the same time I feel pressured.

Q: What was your first impression when you watched the movie?

A: Rather than my impression, I heard that many male viewers cried during the movie and that made me feel good. Looks like everyone has that sort of sentimental feeling in their hearts.

Q: What score would you give your acting?

A: I would give myself 51. To me, this score is not a very low score. My company name is also 51K. Although there isn't a big difference between 49% and 51%, but it's the breaking point between winning and losing. That is the highest score I can give myself. It would actually be the biggest praise for me if the audience is able to say "although this story is common and clichéd, but I can feel the heartbreak and cried."

Q: What's the hardest part during filming?

A: I didn't know filming a love story would be so hard. TV dramas have the expense of 16 hours with the audience and also has the luxury of patching up flaws. But for movies, everything is compressed within two hours and maintaining my emotions of being in love was very difficult. I'm the type that requires time for this and for me to show love in my acting, I'd have to adjust my feelings and mood two days in advance of filming. After a certain shot in filming a movie, it can take up to three to four hours for the lighting and background to be set up for the next shot. During that time, it's challenging to keep up with the affections.

Q: You've been in a lot of suffering roles. Have you thought of doing lighter roles?

A: I don't know what can be considered as light. I would like to be in a role where I don't have to drain myself out. But I'm the type where I drain myself to act in a role. I guess it has to do with my style, I guess if I were to be a romantic comedy role, the same thing would happen.

Q: Your fans are famous for being loyal. Many of them started following and liking you since "Sorry, I Love You".

A: Comparing to "Always", I feel more pressured with "Sorry, I Love You". I'm worried if these two productions are too similar. But "Always" doesn't have any of those plot lines, I'm relieved.

Q: Are you the type that just solely focus on your relationship if you are in one?

A: Yes. I just focus on one person. First of all, I don't know how to lie. My lies are sought through once I tell them, so I just don't bother with lying (laughs). Even if I treat her wholeheartedly, I feel there isn't enough time at all.

Q: You've been in situational comedy, but when your name is mentioned, it only relates to your sad characters.

A: That's because people remember me by the work that made me succeed. I did a few dark, gloomy ones, so that's what they remember me by. I didn't purposely try to overturn this image that I have and there's no need to explain "I'm not that person". It's not a bad image after all.

Q: Your appearance in Infinite Challenge stirred up a few conversations here and there. The most crazy one around is about you knowing how to laugh.

A: Actually, I laugh all the time. Infinite Challenge was a lot of work. I respect comedians. The ability to make someone laugh and be happy is extraordinary. I realize Yoo Jae Suk is a very good comedian.

In the midst of the interview, So Ji Sub mentioned that his acting career has reached a "dry stage". For him to be in character, he drains himself to give the most moving and sincere acting for the part. But this is very exhausting for actors and this is exactly what So Ji Sub is worried about.

Q: So far, the parts you have played are all handsome, dashing roles. That's why some people questioned and said "So Ji Sub probably can't be in a miserable role with a big stomach."

A: That could well be my limit, so that's why I think it is a key point now. Looking through the past, it's only the So Ji Sub that everyone puts their attention to. I realize I will adapt myself to accommodate the vision of the public, but I ask "who and what am I?" Because of this, I don't feel so good a while back and wanted to let go of the burden on my shoulder. I don't want to trap myself within a frame. I like to be known as "actor So Ji Sub" rather than "Korean star So Ji Sub".

Q: I think you should find the time to take a good rest. Have you found other areas to focus on? You've done that with photography and music before.

A: There isn't a correct answer for this, it's a matter of attitude towards it. I have to feel like I'm content to consider myself as being content. But even this thought of it is painful to me. I don't like to mention the negative energy in me to anyone. I love photography before, but ever since it became a job, I feel that it has become a burden. From now on, I won't mention what I like (laughs). It's a blessing to become a star, but it also comes with the relative amount of pressure. I'm thankful, it's because it's something that I love. If it's become a burden and become painful, then I won't do it anymore.

Q: How about building your interpersonal relationship? Getting involve in a love relationship can help fill up your heart?

A: Being single, you can be in a relationship at any time. Fortunately, I was able to experience the poignant love relationship in this production. In reality, I would love to be in a crazy, whirlwind relationship. Through the movie, I presented what I want to present. As for interpersonal relationship? I'm absolutely a person that prefers to spend time alone.

Q: If that's the case, what will happen if you are in a relationship?

A: Being in a relationship would be different. If I'm with my love one, I will try my very best to treat her in the best way possible. Because of all the limitations*, I would just want to treat her whole-heartedly. In the past, I’m a person that would talk to the wall. This is actually a process... in the beginning, I leave the TV on and then would turn to talk to the wall (laughs). I like times where I don't have to think or analyze, I just let my mind slip away. I feel quite fulfilled that way. (*Note: My understanding of what he meant my limitations is how he can’t walk on the street with his girlfriend due to how recognizable he is. Remember how crazy it was at the airport in China?)

Q: Speaking of love, which of Lee Jang Woo in "No.1 Road" or Cheol Min in "Always" is more similar to you? You've mentioned in other interviews that you like people that dislike the same things as you. So, what in particular is it that you dislike?

A: The part where Lee Jang Woo and Cheol Min only falls for one woman is very similar. I can't be in love with a lot of people at the same time. I really hate lying. I can't quite say specifically what it is that I hate, I'll know when the time comes. We don't have to mention things that either one of us likes. But I think it's very difficult to adjust yourself from disliking a thing to liking it all because that is what the other person likes.

So Ji Sub has diagnosed himself to be in his lowest point in his acting career and has mentioned feeling painful at the set. But on the other hand, he's also ambitious for a good production, showing us the attitude of an excellent actor. Saying that he doesn't want to be acting for his whole life, he's also said maybe he can continue on. To him, acting is no longer a job, but it's another form of love.
