Heart Surgeon - 1st Year Intern.

Her health hasnt been good since young and so she is determine to become a doctor. As difficult as it was, she managed to become an intern. However, 3 months into the internship, her heart problems suffered a relapse and she underwent another major heart operation. Because of that, she was kicked out of the internship.

She wanted to take up the internship again but her mother was against the idea and she only did medical checkups in her hometown, helping her mum in the fields in her free time. She managed to get into Seoul hospital with the "just a try" attitude, and got in via the last place of the intake. Finally, she managed to take the first step into being an intern at Seoul University. [P.S Seoul Uni is one of the most prestigious university in seoul.] She is naive, simple, righteous and have a passion for her work. She only knows how to persevere and persevere, work harder and harder. Slightly on the "not using the brain" side.

Actor 이범수 (Lee Bum Soo) as 안중근 (Ahn Joong Geun)

Cardiac specialist, specializing in illness of the cardiac, respiratory and digestive systems. An extremely talented surgeon, despite being specializing in cardiac diseases, he is an all rounder. Supervisor for the Cardiactric department. He feels that it is a sin for a surgeon to make any forms of mistakes; a perfectionist in terms of being a surgeon. He is very strict towards the year 1 interns and therefore he is always angry with Dal Hee who makes mistakes all the time. He grew up in an ophanage and was adopted, however in the end he was abandoned again. During his intern years, he often compete with Lee Gun Wook and now they happened to work in the same hospital again. As Dr Ahn was an ophan, he dislikes Lee Gun Wook for the fact Lee Gun Wook "abandoned" his child (read Lee Gun Wook's profile). Therefore, Dal Hee who was close to Lee Gun Wook was also disliked by him. However, as time goes by, Dal Hee began grabbing more of his attention........

Actor 김민준 (Kim Min Joon) as 이건욱 (Lee Gun Wook)

A surgeon specialist. Specializing in the disease of the liver, gut. He is able to use both his left hand and right hand. He is a friendly and compassionate surgeon, and with his good looks, alot of girls are mesmerized by him. He grew up in a well-do family and he is the nephew of the well respected Professor Lee in the hospital. He is confident and he has a strong sense of pride. A year ago, he divorced his wife upon discovering the fact that their son wasnt his son afterall. Doesn't get along very well with Dr Ahn. The fact that Dalhee was the first to accidentally discover the secret regarding his son, he became very close to Dalhee.

Actress 오윤아 (Oh Yoon Ah) as 조문경 (Jo Moon Kyung)

Lee Gun Wook's ex wife. A paditrian. Divorced from Lee Gun Wook a year ago. She kept avoiding the fact that her son wasn't Lee Gun Wook's son after all and upon being discovered, she didn't put up much of a fight when Lee Gun Wook wanted a divorce. She is smart, passionate and has a strong sense of pride.

Her character is totally similar to Lee Gun Wook. Things changed when her son got ill and she became dependent on Lee Gun Wook for comfort and Lee Gun Wook in return was not as cold as before. She slowly realized that she was still in love with Lee Gun Wook

Actor 정욱 (Jung Wook) as 장지혁 (Jang Ji Hyuk)

Surgeon - Supervisor of Block 114, leading surgeon

He gets ruffled up very easily and will often blows up, however he doesn't bear any hatred for anyone. He just gets angry and then forget about it.

During his internship, he makes alot of mistakes and he swears to get rid of his faults but still.... Mercilessly pointing out mistakes of his new batch of interns, especially new intern Bong Dalhee

Actor 백승현 (Baek Seung Hyun) as 김현빈 (Kim Hyun Bin)

Heart Surgeon - Supervisor of Block 114, leading surgeon. Serious, petty and slighty tense about everything. Very sarcastic. He is not a straightforward person and is abit annoying. The interns rather suffer a beating than his sarcastic treatments. However, his principles of wanting to be a respectable, good leading surgeon still stands.

Actor 김인권 (Kim In Kwon) as 박재범 (Park Jae Bum)

Surgeon - 1st Year Intern.

He wants to open his own clinic handling obese patients and then living a simple troubled free life. However, during his internship, he realized that he doesn't seem to feel tired after hours of surgery and he begin to know himself better. Deep in his heart, sparks the hope of being a good surgeon.

Actress 최여진 (Choi Yeo Jin) as 조아라 (Jo Ara)

Surgeon - 1st Year Intern. Straight forward, She ignores Dalhee's efforts to get close to her. Cool and arrogant. She does not have passion for her job. She doesn't believe in love and men, she believes that the only person she can trust is herself and money is the other that she can depend on. The rewards of being a doctor is what she believes in and she takes it for granted. Spending 10 years of her life striving to be a doctor, she also thinks she deserve the rewards for what she has been doing.

Actor 송종호 (Song Jong Ho) as 이민우 (Lee Min Woo)

Heart Surgeon - 1st Year Intern. He went into army after university and later on he got into medical school. He is one of those wants to become a doc due to the trend. Being successful is his goal and he is kind and friendly to everyone around him. Especially the girls. He appears to be a flirt but actually he is actually a good elder brother.

Actress 김해숙 (Kim Hae Sook) as 양은자 (Yang Eun Jah)

Dal Hee's mother. She disapproves of Dalhee becoming a surgeon due to Dal Hee's weak heart.

I am still wondering WHY LGW got a divorce? is it because.

I think it's easy to impress ladies if a guy has tenderness and hospitality like LGW do. Meanwhile for DH, Dr. Ahn's the competent doctor but always cold and shouting to her. I think no sooner or later DH will find soft side of Dr. Ahn (from the situations as more working together) and of course she will look at him with better understanding and feelings> admiration > passion > love. :blush:

alot of interesting happened today.

Apparently everyone in the hospital knows about SM not being LGW's son.

And it started spreading around in the hospital.

[YOU girls should check out the toilet scene... it was so funny i wanted to die. shall not spoil it for u all]

LGW's uncle aka the in charged barged into the LGW's office and asked is the rumors true?

LGW said yes, and his uncle started reprimanding him. calling him everything the sun.

I THINK, not too sure, but i THINK his uncle told LGW to remove SM from his name.

[P.s All korean family have like names together.. i dont know how to explain this. it's easier to explain in chinese hahaha

perhaps Jen can help to explain, name under account since she is korean.]

His uncle went out of the room but came running back again asking LGW who is SM's real father.

LGW kept silence and his uncle shouted "u dont even KNOW???????" and started throwing papers at LGW and went out of the room.

DH's first operation as leading surgeon however the patient who was okay at first started having pains

Lab test and i think MRI shows nth abnormal. DH was at lost at what to do so she told LGW the truth.

and yes LGW reprimanded both Jang Ji Hyuk aka Dh's supervisor. asking them how can they place the patient's live in danger.

JMK wanted a confirmation of a patient's diagnosis so she asked LGW for his consultation.

Halfway through Dh came in for consultation, but she was absolutely scolded by LGW to get out of the room.

DH went out while apologizing.

Anyways LGW refuses JMK to help her with the diagnosis , the reason being he didn't want to see her face. and also when he asked her who is SM's father.

She said it's someone who is close to him and often go to his house. and she walked out with him yelling where are u going.

DH's mum finally saw DH in the hospital and realized that she lied to her.

She dragged DH and wanted her to get out of the hospital.

DH told her mum she can't leave.

Her mum asked her

"do u want to get another heart operation done like u did during your internship?

Is that what u want. even if u want that i dont want to see it! So let's go. GO!"

DH : i cant leave....

DH : my heart is not that weak.

Her mum : Do u think i am stupid? if u relapse again then u will have to undergo that operation AGAIN.

DH : i cant leave....

Her mum was still trying to drag her away and finally she shouted again.

DH : i cant leave.... Even if i die, i will still work here. Mother should know how much i want to work as a doctor.

Her mum hit her... and again drag her away

DH shrugged off her mum's hands and said

DH : Even if i die i must work as a doctor. Even if i die i will still want to be a doctor. It doesn't matter

Her mum started hitting her. HARD. DH's sister came along and tried to stop her mum from hitting her sister.

At the point, Dh's mum fainted.

IMPORTANT : while all these are happening. Dr Ahn was in the background, listening in by accident. So now he knows that DH has heart problems

Dh's first patient kept having problems as usual, so Dh was torn between her mum and her first patient.

DH was searching through books in the library when her heart started beating irregularly again causing breathlessness.

Dh's mum insisted on being discharged. so a very tired and stressed out DH went to stop her.

DH told her mum she should have the operation and asked her to go in.

Her mum told her sure. if Dh leave with her, she will get the operation done and if not she will just leave without having the operation.

So she asked Dh to tell her what to do. to answer her.

DH stood there, quiet. so her mum asked DH if her mum's life is of any importance. {both are crying}

DH Still stood here.. so her mum said.. oh i see, my life and death doesnt matter right?

So Dh's mum started walking away with Dh's sister still trying to stop her mum from leaving.

At this point i think DH just snapped, she told her mum...

Fine. u can go. just go. Even if i die i will still want to work here. Even if i die i will still do this.

Dh's mum walked towards her and to the Park Jae Bum aka the guy with the specs, and told him she will get the operation done.

anywayz her mum went into the operation room and thatz that.

Dh kept feeling breathless and so

She went to get an injection. She picked up the medication : Lasix.

[Lasix is used for the the treatment of congestive heart failure and another associated disease. Therefore DH knows that her heart is acting up again]

Anywayz she was trying to inject herself and Dr ahn came along and asked are u taking drugs?. LOLXXXXX

she was like NOOOOO i am not. just not feeling that good.

She told Dr ahn taking NSAID. [sHE LIED. maybe because she doesnt want him to know about her heart problems]

[Nsaid belongs to a group of anti-inflammatory group. In DH's case she is using it as aform of pain killer]

[i think she didnt want him to suspect she has any heart problems.. but never did she know that he already know it.]

Dr ahn injected the shot for her. and Dh asked for his opinions for her first patents having unknown seizures.

Dr ahn asked her why is she asking him this. and she should check her Medical records and find out the reason and give a proper

diagnosis..

The patient of Dh's suffers seizures again and on one can understand why???

She looked through the medical records and dr ahn told her to and recalled previous treatment, glucose drip.

so she tried that and finally found out wHY she is having seizures.

The patient was suffering from porphyria. and thus she was responding to glucose treatments.

DH started crying due to stress and relief..

LGW called JMK and they saw each other at the lobby of the hospital.

JMk said she is busy and again, LGW asked who is the father of SM.

JMK said she cant tell him. and then here comes DR ahn..

JMK told JMk : see i told u i am busy.

and walked away with Dr ahn.

Dh was lying down on a bed to rest and Jo Ara called her to remind her there's a consultation meeting.

Dh was VERY pale.. and when it was her turn to report she fainted, and LGW IMMEDIATELY scooped Dh up into his arms

and rushed her into an empty ward.

He hooked her up with glucose drips [i think he thought that she was too tired or something but she cant take any glucose drips due to her condition]

When he saw that Park Jae Bum aka the specs guy was there, he went off. and Park Jae Bum knowing that DH has conditions, wanted to remove the drip for her.

at that moment Dh woke up and said,

I fainted??

She looked at her arm, "i cant accept saline drips!!"

Park Jae Bum said yes I KNOW, trying to remove it for u now.

Dh asked him why in the first place did he give her the drip.

Park Jae Bum said.. u think it was be who did it for u?

Dh asked, who did it for me???

Park Jae Bum told Dh that it was Dr LGW who did it for her. and i THINK Park Jae Bum told DH that LGW was very anxious or something like that.

She went out of the room, to the corridor, but LGW was no longer around..
