Ji Hyun Woo to reunite with Lee Se Hee in "Beauty and Mr. Romantic"

The Young Lady and Gentleman co-star Ji Hyun Woo and Lee Se Hee will reunite in the KBS weekend, K-drama Beauty and Mr. Romantic.

On May 17, media outlet Star News shared that actress Lee Se Hee will make a special cameo appearance in the upcoming episode of Beauty and Mr. Romantic. According to reports, the actress already finished filming for her cameo role. Lee Se Hee will portray the role of a top actress who has a crush on Ji Hyun Woo's character Go Pil Sung. 

Lee Se Hee decided to make an appearance to support Ji Hyun Woo as well as the writer of the K-drama. They all previously worked together in Young Lady and Gentleman. This will be their reunion after three years. 

The actress is also set to star in the upcoming K-drama Love in the Big City with Nam Yoon Su, Lee Soo Kyung, Jin Ho Eun, Oh Hyun Kyung, and Kwon Hyuk.

Lee Se Hee will also take part in the upcoming series Quiet Sales which will be led by brilliant actresses Kim So Yeon, Kim Sung Ryung, and Kim Sun Young.

 

 

Beauty and Mr. Romantic is led by Ji Hyun Woo, Im Soo Hyang, Go Yoon, Park Sang Won, Lee Il Hwa, Lee Young Eun, and more. 

The ongoing KBS weekend K-drama revolves around a top actress who hits rock bottom overnight and a producer who has feelings for her and helps her to rise once again.

The K-drama is the second project together of director Hong Seok Goo (Girls' Generation 1979) and writer Kim Sa Kyung (Young Lady and Gentleman). The two previously worked together for the series My Only One.

According to reports, Lee Se Hee's special cameo appearance will premiere on May 18 at 7:55 PM KST. The K-drama is exclusively airing on KBS2.

I feel like if this drama had a makjung twist then they would make DR and her mom not blood-related. The test between DR's mom and "JiYoung" is going to come off negetive.

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, Do Ra—now going by the name Ji Young—is surprised to run into Pil Seung late at night. What is this drama trying to fool. JiYoung/Dora's face didn't change at all. It would of been more believable if Dora was played by different adult actress prior the suicide attempt and after played by the current actress.  

 

Is the face different in Grandma's POV?

I still believe in my theory that Dora didn't try to commit suicide on her own. She was pushed into the sea (most likely on accident) by SML. 

 

Also... at some point, the real JiYoung has to come back? Right? 

 

Also... Is it selfish for the ML to not tell Dora's real family that she's alive? Or tell JiYoung that he knows about her true idenity?

Glad that PS knows DoRa is alive, the writers gave us that at least - hopefully he keeps the secret until her memories come back ...hope we get some quality time with them getting to know each other in this new constellation - PS gets a second chance to make up for doubting DR- second chances are so rare in real life

With all the lightness, the suicide aspect is a very dark, serious one, still triggering for me - wonder how they will handle it - in the US or UK,  they would have to have a sensitivity notice on such a story -

 

So much time is wasted with MaRi's crush story, they are ruining this previously delightful creature , mishandling a character with her condition - just to force PS's bio mom's hand, with her family - including dad- acting like cackling hens 

 

Notice a lot of uneven editing, wonder if there has been a more than usual time pressure on production, maybe some unexpected shuffling in the story

Im Soo Hyang is about to feel the butterflies on “Beauty and Mr. Romantic”!

“Beauty and Mr. Romantic” is a KBS romance drama about an actress who hits rock bottom overnight and the producing director (PD) who gets her back on her feet out of love. Im Soo Hyang stars as A-list actress Park Do Ra, who has been worked to the bone for years by her ruthless stage mom—and whose life undergoes an unexpected change when she happens to run into assistant director Go Pil Seung (Ji Hyun Woo) on the set of a drama.

Previously on “Beauty and Mr. Romantic,” Pil Seung discovered that his new staff member Ji Young had the same star tattoo as Do Ra, leading him to test her DNA. When the test results came back and he learned that Ji Young was none other than Do Ra herself, he shed tears of joy and made up his mind that he would never lose Do Ra again.

In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, Pil Seung and Do Ra spend some quality time together. In addition to taking her to a restaurant for a delicious meal, Pil Seung takes Do Ra camping and even serenades her while playing the guitar. The scene is so similar to their past camping date that it appears Pil Seung may be trying to bring Do Ra’s memories back by intentionally reminding her of their shared experiences.

While Pil Seung tearfully struggles to keep his emotions at bay, Do Ra stares back at him in confusion. Although she feels drawn to Pil Seung, she is also caught off guard by his suspicious behavior and displays of affection.

“Beauty and Mr. Romantic” is a romance drama about an actress who hits rock bottom overnight and the producing director (PD) who gets her back on her feet out of love. Im Soo Hyang stars as A-list actress Park Do Ra, who has been worked to the bone for years by her ruthless stage mom—and whose life undergoes an unexpected change when she happens to run into assistant director Go Pil Seung (Ji Hyun Woo) on the set of a drama.

 

The latest behind-the-scenes video kicks off with Im Soo Hyang bursting into laughter as she feels awkward watching Ji Hyun Woo singing and playing the guitar. However, once the cameras start rolling, Im Soo Hyang becomes fully immersed in her character, gazing affectionately at Ji Hyun Woo. She then teases Ji Hyun Woo, asking, “Are you a player? How many girls have you brought to the camping site before me?”

 

In a later scene they film, Go Pil Seung is convincing Park Do Ra to join him in the carpool while Park Do Ra makes a series of excuses to turn him down. However, Go Pil Seung continues to make seemingly logical arguments until Park Do Ra finally concedes to get in his car. Go Pil Seung’s satisfied smile at the end hints at the cute couple dynamic unfolding in the series.

Previously, Ji Young (Im Soo Hyang) surprised with her acting skills after making an appearance in Go Pil Seung’s drama. Furthermore, Ji Young discovered her mother Baek Mi Ja (Cha Hwa Yeon) creating a scene at Pil Seung’s house, but the two were unable to recognize each other, raising anticipation for the next episode.

The newly released stills preview another incident between Ji Young and Mi Ja. Ji Young becomes puzzled when she coincidentally runs into Mi Ja at the broadcasting station, and she looks at Mi Ja with a wary gaze.

Furthermore, the stills capture Mi Ja grabbing Ji Young by her hair. Not only is Ji Young shocked by Mi Ja’s unexpected actions, but rookie actress Do Do, whom Mi Ja is helping grow as an actress, is also shocked by her attitude. In additional stills, Mi Ja is deep in thought as she watches Ji Young showcase her acting skills, making viewers wonder if she discovered Kim Ji Young’s real identity as Park Do Ra.

One wonder if it's selfish for ML to ommit to "JiYoung" about her past prior to the suicide. It's like you are decieving her while thinking you are protecting her.  

 

I also notice that the grandma is treating the ML similar to DR's mom treated her. Forcing him onto dating a chaebol even though he doesn't want to. 

 

Also... DR's mom can't reconize her daughter's face? All she got was a short haircut and a perm
