Chun Woo Hee And Kim Dong Wook Cast Mysterious Gazes In Poster For New Drama “Delightfully Deceitful”

Chun Woo Hee And Kim Dong Wook Cast Mysterious Gazes In Poster For New Drama “Delightfully Deceitful”

im

tvN’s upcoming drama “Delightfully Deceitful” has dropped a new poster!

“Delightfully Deceitful” is a revenge drama about a con artist who lacks empathy and an attorney who is excessively empathetic by nature. In order to battle evil, these two polar opposites team up to form an unlikely alliance. The drama will be helmed by director Lee Soo Hyun, who previously worked with Kim Dong Wook on his 2020 drama “Find Me in Your Memory.”

Kim Dong Wook takes on the role of Han Moo Young, a handsome lawyer who needs to receive psychiatric treatment due to his excessive empathy, which can otherwise make it hard for him to function in daily life.

Chun Woo Hee plays Lee Ro Um, a genius fraudster with no empathy who makes a fortune with her thousand faces and flamboyant speech.

In the newly released poster, Lee Ro Um and Han Moo Young stand against the background of the blue sky, and they cast heavy gazes toward the camera. Lee Ro Um’s cold eyes as well as the revolver in her hand make viewers curious to find out about what kind of revenge she is scheming.

On the other hand, Han Moo Young is captured holding Lee Ro Um’s wrist which is holding the revolver. It is vague whether Moo Young is trying to stop Ro Um from doing something reckless or if he is trying to help her take revenge. On top of this, the text that reads, “I want to desperately believe, but I can’t until the end,” adds to the curiosity as there are no clues to tell who is saying this to whom.

“Delightfully Deceitful” will premiere on May 29 at 8:50 p.m. KST. Stay tuned!

'Beneficial fraud' Chun Woo-hee holding a revolver, Kim Dong-wook holding a wrist

522400_644422_4949.jpg

In the poster released on the 18th, there are images of Chun Woo-hee and Kim Dong-wook who have been transferred to the character. Standing against the background of the blue sky, they are sending heavy gazes in the spleen air.

Chun Woo-hee holds her revolver in her hand as she makes an expression that no one can read her thoughts. The loneliness and hidden anger that will never stop revenge are conveyed intact. Kim Dong-wook's hand holding Cheon Woo-hee makes us speculate whether Han Moo-yeong is trying to stop Yi-rum's reckless move or help him avenge him.

Added to this, the copy phrase 'I want to believe desperately, but I can't believe it until the end' makes me think about how the relationship between the two people between confrontation and cooperation will flow and what results will result.

'Beneficial Fraud', which awaits the beneficial meeting between Chun Woo-hee and Kim Dong-wook, will be broadcast for the first time at 8:50 pm on May 29th.

Chun Woo-hee is Delightfully Deceitful for Kim Dong-wook

by tccolb

delightfully-deceitful-1.jpeg

The promos have kicked off for tvN’s newly (and improved) titled Delightfully Deceitful (previously Beneficial Fraud), with stills from the drama’s first script reading as well as the first poster of our two leads: Chun Woo-hee (Be Melodramatic) and Kim Dong-wook (King of Pigs).

The revenge story is centered around the unlikely partnership between the infamous con artist Lee Ro-woom (Chun Woo-hee) and her over-sympathetic lawyer Han Mu-young (Kim Dong-wook). But with the two coming from different worlds, the poster’s tagline highlights the precarious nature of their relationship: “Desperately wanting to believe, but unable to fully trust.”

Due to her troubled past, Ro-woom has difficulty relating to others. But Mu-young struggles from the opposite extreme. Prone to becoming too invested in the plight of others, he has regular sessions with his psychiatrist to keep his emotional boundaries in check.

In the second lead roles, Go Yo-han – played by Yoon Park (Please Send a Fan Letter) – is Ro-woom’s mellow probation officer, while Park So-jin (Bora! Deborah) takes on the part of Mu-young’s compassionate psychiatrist, Dr. Mo Jae-in.

The supporting cast includes comic bookstore owner and hacker Lee Yeon (Duty After School), as well as the multi-lingual and errand boy extraordinaire Hong Seung-beom (The Heavenly Idol). Although not yet featured, we will also be seeing Lee Tae-ran (SKY Castle) as a big bad in a special guest appearance, facing off with our scammer heroine Ro-woom.

Written by Han Woo-joo with PD Lee Soo-hyun (Shooting Stars, Find Me in Your Memory) at the helm, tvN’s Delightfully Deceitful is currently slated to premiere on May 29 in the Monday-Tuesday slot.

Fraud and freedom in Delightfully Deceitful’s teaser

by solstices

tvN’s upcoming drama Delightfully Deceitful has just released its first teaser, giving us a peek into our heroine’s agenda and the man who helps her achieve it. Armed with a sleek revolver and an ominous syringe, I doubt anything can stand in her way.

Chun Woo-hee (Be Melodramatic) stars as the con artist Lee Ro-woom, whose name literally means “beneficial,” as in the drama’s previous title Beneficial Fraud. Like her name, she’s pragmatic and cynical — due to her painful past, she focuses on profits over people.

On the other hand, her empathetic lawyer Han Mu-young is the complete opposite. Played by Kim Dong-wook (King of Pigs), Mu-young has compassion in spades — so much so that he requires regular therapy sessions in order to regulate his emotional boundaries.

The teaser opens with a dramatic statement — Ro-woom has just been sentenced to 15 years in prison, seemingly for arson. Not if Mu-young can help it, and his skillful defense overturns Ro-woom’s guilty verdict. Walking free with only her pesky probation to keep her on her toes, a glamorously-dressed Ro-woom immediately launches into her grand scam. No tactic is above Ro-woom, and she’s even willing to take advantage of Mu-young’s compassionate nature — but what makes this interesting is that he’s fully aware of her scheming.

Beyond just their contrary personalities, though, they’ll also face a conflict in morals. “Revenge is always just,” Ro-woom declares. She’ll get her vengeance before Mu-young can ever achieve the law reforms he dreams of. However, that’s an appalling notion for Mu-young, who asks in horror if she plans to murder someone in cold blood. Ro-woom’s response? Well, the person in question is still alive. For now.

We don’t see our second leads just yet, but we have Yoon Park (Please Send a Fan Letter) as Ro-woom’s reserved probation officer Go Yo-han — ha, his name literally translates to “silent.” Joining him is Sojin (Bora! Deborah) as Mo Jae-in, Mu-young’s diligent and kind psychiatrist. Filling out the rest of the cast, we also have Lee Yeon (Duty After School) and Hong Seung-beom (The Heavenly Idol).

Directed by Lee Soo-hyun (Shooting Stars, Find Me in Your Memory) with scripts written by Han Woo-joo, Delightfully Deceitful premieres next month on May 29.

Chun Woo Hee Is A Dangerous Femme Fatale In New Drama “Delightfully Deceitful”

Chun Woo Hee Is A Dangerous Femme Fatale In New Drama “Delightfully Deceitful”

Chun Woo Hee will be transforming into a genius con artist with many faces in tvN’s upcoming drama “Delightfully Deceitful”!

“Delightfully Deceitful” is a thrilling revenge drama about a con artist who lacks empathy (played by Chun Woo Hee) and an attorney who is excessively empathetic by nature (Kim Dong Wook). In order to battle evil, these two polar opposites team up to form an unlikely alliance.

A born genius, Chun Woo Hee’s character Lee Ro Um first entered the spotlight for being a child prodigy. Due to her astonishing brainpower, Lee Ro Um received media attention and even earned the nickname “memorization genius girl.” However, within a matter of years, Lee Ro Um became famous for an entirely different reason—and the public now remembers her as a “psychopath” and “evil killer” instead.

While locked up for parricide, Lee Ro Um becomes notorious within prison as well. Although she still looks innocent and pure of heart on the outside, she is vicious and cold on the inside, and the other inmates fear her.

Once Lee Ro Um leaves prison, she embarks on an ambitious quest for revenge, and she uses her brilliant mind to meticulously plan every last detail. In order to exact vengeance on those who have wronged her, Lee Ro Um wears many different faces as she commits fraud in intriguing and “delightfully deceitful” ways.

Chun Woo-hee is tvN’s Delightfully Deceitful con artist

by missvictrix

Chun-Woo-Hee-2.jpeg

tvN’s upcoming drama Delightfully Deceitful (previously Beneficial Fraud) has been dropping stills like hot cakes, getting us familiar with our two leads: Chun Woo-hee (Be Melodramatic) and Kim Dong-wook (King of Pigs).

Chun Woo-hee stars as the con artist Lee Ro-woom — our not-so-perfect heroine who finds herself in the crosshairs of the law. Her skillful defense attorney is Han Mu-young (Kim Dong-wook), but rather than the typical cut-throat money-loving lawyer archetype we see in dramaland so much, he’s incredibly empathetic towards his clients… to the point where he needs therapy to keep his emotional boundaries in check.

Our second lead roles are equally interesting, with Yoon Park (Please Send a Fan Letter) as Ro-woom’s probation officer, and Sojin (Bora! Deborah) as our hero’s kind-hearted psychiatrist.

The characters sound wonderfully complex already, but just because no drama is complete without the thread of revenge running through it, we’re led to believe that our heroine’s schemes and scams are to carry out just that.

Directed by Lee Soo-hyun (Shooting Stars, Find Me in Your Memory) with scripts written by Han Woo-joo, Delightfully Deceitful premieres next month on May 29.

Watch: Chun Woo Hee And Kim Dong Wook Forge An Unlikely Alliance In Suspenseful Teaser For “Delightfully Deceitful”

Watch: Chun Woo Hee And Kim Dong Wook Forge An Unlikely Alliance In Suspenseful Teaser For “Delightfully Deceitful”

tvN has shared an action-packed sneak peek of its upcoming drama “Delightfully Deceitful”!

“Delightfully Deceitful” is a thrilling new revenge drama about a con artist who lacks empathy and an attorney who is excessively empathetic by nature. In order to battle evil, these two polar opposites team up to form an unlikely alliance.

The newly released teaser begins with lawyer Han Moo Young (Kim Dong Wook) telling Lee Ro Um (Chun Woo Hee), “I understand you.” As if unable to believe that Han Moo Young could empathize with her, Lee Ro Um asks skeptically, “You?” Han Moo Young replies with conviction, “That’s right, me.”

Han Moo Young goes on to describe a case in which two burned corpses were discovered alongside a 19-year-old girl, with all the evidence indicating that she had committed arson. After Lee Ro Um—the 19-year-old in question—is sentenced to 15 years in prison, Han Moo Young unexpectedly comes to her rescue.

“What is it you can do?” she asks, and Han Moo Young replies, “As a legal professional, stopping crime. As a lawyer, taking my client’s side. I might be able to do both.”

Lee Ro Um then reveals her ultimate goal of revenge, warning her lawyer, “There’s something I need to do, and that’s what’s most important to me. Whomever I choose to use [to achieve it], that’s not for you to know.”

As it becomes unclear whether Han Moo Young is helping Lee Ro Um in her quest or trying to save her from herself, the con artist tells him, “I’d like it if you got lost now.” However, he is unfazed by her blunt words, responding, “No matter what it is you’re hiding, I’m going to find out what it is.”

The teaser ends with Han Moo Young asking Lee Ro Um, “Did you kill them?” She replies with an innocent expression, “Did I?”

“Delightfully Deceitful” will premiere on May 29 at 8:50 p.m. KST. In the meantime, check out the new teaser below!

Cat and mouse dynamics in tvN’s Delightfully Deceitful

by Jenzy

DD9.jpgThe second teaser for Delightfully Deceitful just dropped, and we get to see more of the polar-opposite dynamics between our embittered conwoman Chun Woo-hee (Be Melodramatic) and her empathetic lawyer Kim Dong-wook (King of Pigs).

The teaser opens with Han Moo-young (Kim Dong-wook) telling his client Lee Ro-woom (Chun Woo-hee) that he understands her situation. She incredulously retorts, “You?” to which he responds, “That’s right, me.”

You see, the two have history, which the teaser is quick to explain. In a case where two bodies were found in a burned building, 19-year-old Ro-woom was the primary suspect and charged with 15 years in prison for arson. Lucky for her, she had the bleeding-hearted Moo-young as her attorney.

In the flashback, she asks him, “What do you even do?” Amidst cuts of the crime scene and the courtroom, Moo-young answers her, “As a representative of the law, I fight crime. As a laywer, I defend my clients. And who knows? I might even be able to both for you.”

Even though he successfully gets her acquitted, it doesn’t take long before she’s right back to her old ways, hitting up the casino and concocting a mysterious revenge plan: “I have something to do, and that’s all I care about. It’s none of your business who I use to do it.” But despite his simp exterior, our lawyer is not about to let her commit crimes on his watch, telling her, “I’m not a pushover. Whatever you’re hiding, I’m going to find out what it is.”

We then see shots of Moo-young making good on his word as he follows Ro-woom around, thwarting her plans and in one instance physically blocking her from injecting a hospital patient with a drug. While he knows she only planned to use him to get out of jail, he can’t help his involuntary desire to keep her out of trouble. Things come to a head at the close of the teaser when he finally asks her point blank: “Did you kill someone?” and she coyly responds, “Did I?”

Will Moo-young manage to turn Ro-woon from her self-destructive path? Or will she finally shake him off when her crimes prove too much for him to swallow? Written by Han Woo-joo and directed by Lee Soo-hyun (Shooting Stars), Delightfully Deceitful will premiere on May 29 on tvN.
