For those who are curious...i actually asked my korean GY fan friend (as in hardcore fan club fan), she told me it's in fact GY highly recommended GE for this role, which it isn't surprising at all cos he already showed his admiration on this new actress and he'd seen her films (im pretty sure he'd seen all cos all her films especially EunGyo was highly critically acclaimed, n don't forget she swept ALL awards that year!!! A simple fact is he likes this young actress a lot no matter its in a romantic way or not, he truly appreciate and treasure her talents. N thats why we all can see he takes good care of her so much even from the beginning in Quebec.

It reminds me the interview when they have done the filming in Canada. (I can't find a english subtitle video).

In this interview, he keeps praising GE.

When i first time seeing this video, i feel he is such a nice guy to keep praise his co-workers even he is one of the hottest movie stars now. After reading your post, what he said is pretty much match what you hear from your friend.

(don't be girl you're the most suitable for Ji Eun Tak, be strong !). So to conclude I think GY really had some power in it.

- Why after 5 years of refusing GY finally accepted KES's offer? I think because he read the script, found out the role of JET fit GE so well and maybe he was "bribed" that he can recommend/choose the leading actress to act with him ? Just a delulu thought though .

Wow, thanks for your analysis. I am not familiar with how Korea Drama is casting and how powerful the writer is and what's KES's preference on main leads.

LDW tries very hard to get his role and KES has been waiting GY for 5 years, so that means she has her own view on casting..

Compare to what you said and someone mention earlier, GE got this role just on one interview...

I'm surprised GY didn't start having the goblin's blue flame during these romantic or kissing scenes.  He's burning and blushing from his ears, face and neck anyway .

Most of the scenes are indoors except for the drunken kiss so it cannot be due to the cold weather, right?

I think GY met his match in KGE.  She can give as much as she gets from him.  Be it teasing, aegyo, energy level, Adlib abilities and acting talent.  That's why he can't take his eyes off of her and he's fascinated.  It's almost like he's looking at a mirror.  With both being Cancer and Goats.

He somehow sees his younger and more ambitious self but at the same time she is also this charming, smart and definitely shining individual who can showcase her talent and beauty at the drop of a hat.  He can't look away.  She makes it too darn hard for him to do so.

Just like what the Quebec jewelry maker said "Destin - a match made in heaven"

Sorry for cutting your post chingu. But it's totally awesome. I never observed this lovebird when just hugging. I just recognize his ear turn RED only when they're kisses. Many poses for kissing, indoor or outdoor, yet still his ears burning like a fire. LOL.

Now, i want trying to observe when GY acting in AMAW. Because they filming when winter too. So maybe to answer denial about weather which can make ears got red. Perhaps.

Yeah, I remember noticing his red ears every now and then when I was watching the drama, but I just assumed it was because of the cold weather. I'm not THAT much of a delulu fan (yet), so the realist in me is still considering the fact that DESPITE them being indoors, it's probably STILL VERY COLD, hence the red ears. Like, y'all notice how they all wear those long, black coats BTS even when they're indoors? Yeah...

OMO! That bath scene with Kim Sun-ah! Omo omo, I'd die if our couple got a scene like that in a future project or something. *___* and I loved the intensity in Gong Yoo's kiss from the first screencaps. He totally did that a couple of times in Goblin with Go-eun, too. SO SEXY.

The K-netz make me sick and I want them to either grow up or just go away. So the first time, I watched it.I was like, what on earth? the scene is so lame. Those actors not even had a legit kiss or spun, the spinning action was even from the camera work. I laughed like crazy. lmao, maybe because old stuff like this clearly not living up to our expectation like kdrama nowadays .

But my question is, why was he so excited telling the details of this drama to her? To me, he might be trying to initiate conversation with her over simple subject or he might also testing whether she has a common interest with him or he wanted to share a part of his childhood memories with her like how some of us remember winter sonata as our favorite childhood drama. GY is seriously cute, he is 38 yrs old but the way he acts around his crush (btw, I have no doubt at all that he's crushing on GE) is like a teenage boy. Haha. Freaking adorable.

 

Lol! Hey now, that scene may be lame to us now, but even Gong Yoo was in awe when he was describing the legendary and iconic moment of that song and dance that ultimately led to the kiss scene. Hahaha. I feel you, though, it's kinda lame. I feel bad for Gong Yoo when Go-eun reacted the way she did at him fanboying while he was telling her about it. I haven't seen the vid yet, but I doubt Gong Yoo's as tech savvy as you think he is considering the fact that he repeatedly stated one of the reasons he doesn't have social media accounts because he's such a n00b at navigating technology (and the internet, I guess). I wonder if he's like how the goblin was when the goblin first got his hands on his first cellphone in almost 1000 years. I was actually giggling when he was taking Go-eun's picture in one of the BTS vids because a part of me wondered if he knew what he was doing. Lol, sorry Gong Yoo! I LOVE that scene! I was so surprised when she attacked him with kisses after jumping on him to try to get her contract. So sweet and would love to see the making video of that part, too! OMG, THAT PART. <3 I just love it because it was like the complete opposite/parallel to an earlier scene where they fought after Eun-tak found out that Shin was indeed a goblin because he protected her from Grims. They fought, she turned to leave and when she turned back, he was already gone. BUT OMG HERE, WHEN SHE TURNED BACK... HE WAS STILL THERE. JUST LOOKING AT HER BACK. I CRY!

Hello! I've definitely been in a funk as well over here! Haha, it was hard to move on from Goblin, but I've been feeling less empty lately and stopped randomly thinking of sad scenes and then welling up with tears, SO HEY, THAT'S AN IMPROVEMENT. Haha. I'm checking out so many dramas, but only one or two are keeping my interest--the rest just makes me wanna go back to watching Goblin, which I'm saving to pull a marathon when I buy a new bigger screen TV. Hee.

Hahaha, so I'm NOT the only one already awaiting the award shows??? Lawl. Oh, I really do hope tvN's even having another award show this year. They HAVE to, right? I mean, c'mon! Goblin's a MONSTER HIT and needs to be awarded for the gem that it is. I'm hoping to see our OTP at the Baeksangs, too. Hopefully they can be like SongSong couple and arrive together on the red carpet and sit next to each other in the audience! Hehe. My dream performances: Gong Yoo and Go-eun sing the full version of "Destiny" at either award shows (probably tvN, if anything... I know this is a far fetched idea, but hey, a fangirl can dream! If Eun-ji and In-guk can do it for their Reply fans, can't our OTP do it for ShinTak fans? Pretty please!), Sam Kim's and Ailee's full, live performance of their hit OSTs from the drama. I just can't wait to see how many awards Goblin takes home!

Not sure if this video has been shared here, but I just saw this piece of gem and I love the parallels in both Kim Shin from Goblin and Seol-hee from Memories of the Sword. Now I wonder if it's the same buckwheat flower field in both projects. Hmm... either way, this is beautiful and of course Ailee's voice for the OST is the cherry on top! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the editing and how they made it look like Shin saw Eun-tak's past life and she's just as epic as he is.

Idk if any of you guys have mentioned this before but this leg crossing body language thingy also mean according to this article:

i dont want to get my hope to high or any of you guys but their feet are pointed toward each other. I know this probably somekind of coincidence or their body just do it naturally under their subconscious mind. C'mon your body can't lie.

I just realized that Arjenia posted this picture this morning. Omg this is like the best thing to start my day. Imagine this video on her instagram feed, and she can like this picture since this the pict from her official fan cafe right?  

@janeetai'm also agree if Arjenia is smh close to her. It could her bf, relatives or someone really close to her. Seeing that Arjenia is in this gotohell with us is a sign that the best thing and the thing the we've been waiting is yet to come.

he said on this interview that he's a picky person when it comes to watching movie. He didn't even watch his own movie. This ahjussi is such a picky person. We can all conclude that he's such perfectionist person, and picky.

Dont forget guys that he said on his guerilla date interview that he'll announce his marriage at his official website first. Let's wait patiently, that someday he'll announce his marriage with Kim Go Eun. Soon~

Sorry to burst the bubble since I'm a shipper too but one of the reasons why his ears could have turned red during the hotel kissing scene could just be that it was hot under those jackets plus he was carrying GE... 

we should have a look at the scene in coffee prince where he carried YEH to see if his ears were red then too

I actually watched his kissing scenes from BiG and CP and he never glowed red. Even his hands are red during the make out scene in the hotel in Dokebi. Was GY shy? Only he and GE would know lol!
