Hi anazs, thanks for sharing this. It is the rule that the admission ceremony opens to the public unless you request & wish to enlist quietly. The same thing upon discharge,  if you want your discharge to happen discreetly, there will be nothing special. Celebrities usually hold a brief photo session and press conference ahead of entering the gates of the training camp. :P

*** His bromance with Park Seo Joon is still going strong! During Actor & Chatter, Park Seo Joon opened up about the latest news between his close friendships with Park Hyungsik! He revealed that he was finally able to get in touch with Park Hyungsik now that he recently finished his basic training in the military. He contacted PSJ through their group chat with friends. He said that there were 4,300 messages waiting for him in their chatroom alone. Wow, those were many messages to read on. He said that he had a ceremony for the end of his basic training. As a standard, there’s an army training completion ceremony after (4) weeks of training. After training, you’ll be given a leave or day-off for some days before you begin your military service. After this they are assigned to posts and roles. Sigh............spending two years in the barracks or wherever during MS is taxing for anyone not looking to pursue a career in the military.

I hope he maintains to be healthy! I hope he finishes his duties safely. His fans are awaiting for his return. Return safely!   :P

5 Actors Who Went From Second Leads to Main

Our babies went through a lot!

We have all been there, we are watching a drama and as it progresses the line between who is the main and the second lead blur. Thanks to this all of us have ended plenty, if not all dramas, with a major case of the second lead syndrome. This is when you root for the second lead actor to have a happily ever after with the main actress. We have decided to pick our top actors who went from a pat on the back to a happily ever after. We understand there are A LOT more, but these are the ones people seem to forget about.

Park Hyungsik

Park Hyungsik started his acting career in 2012 as was part of the cast of 'I Remember You.' He was our second lead on 'Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth.' He made it into our hearts slowly but sure, and at the end, we were waiting for him to not be cold porridge. He was able to have a happy ending in his drama 'Strong Woman Do Bongsoon.'

I think the first thing that he did after he got his phone is to open his Kakao apps LOL!

he must have missed them a lot! :bawling:

Seojoon said that they are all talkative in the group chat so that's maybe why Hyungsik had 4300 unread message!

He only got 5 hours to spend with family then he needed to pack his stuff and go for another 3 weeks training at the Army General Administration School.

Hi anazs, thanks for sharing this. Time flies so fast - his 4-week basic training has been over! Aside from the reward vacation, they can be able to see their family after (4) weeks of basic training.  There was a time when the Army has extended basic military training for recruits from five weeks to eight weeks as part of measures to beef up military readiness against North Korea.  As a standard, there’s an army training completion ceremony after (4) weeks of training. After this they are assigned to posts and roles. :P

I'm glad to know they still keep in touch with his buddies and remain close! :D

9 Of The Nicest Rich Guys Who Shatter K-Drama Stereotypes

Where would K-drama be without chaebols? That’s the Korean word for a wealthy businessman, owner of a vast conglomerate empire, aka the job description of 80 percent of K-drama male leads. It makes sense that this trope is so popular: when we enter the world of chaebols, we get to see how the other half lives and to revel in glamour and luxury which we’d never otherwise experience.

But you know what doesn’t make sense? So many K-drama chaebols are arrogant jerks, and so many female leads keep falling for them anyway. It’s 2019, people! Our leading ladies have better things to do than chase cold, aloof guys who don’t treat them right. That’s why we always love to see a chaebol who knows how to be a decent human being. The more these charming fellas turn up, the more the tide turns and the fewer tired tropes we have to endure.

Want to know which rich guys are leading the way? Let’s find out!

Warning: spoilers ahead!

3. Ahn Min Hyuk in “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon

park-hyun-sik-strong-woman-do-bong-soon-

We love a male lead who doesn’t feel threatened by a strong, powerful woman. In Bong Soon’s (Park Bo Young) case, that’s not only emotional strength but also literal, physical strength. She’s the kind of girl who can pick up her man in a princess carry and swoop him out of harm’s way. And as for Min Hyuk (Park Hyung Sik), he doesn’t just not feel threatened – he actually, actively loves it!

park-hyun-sik-strong-woman-do-bong-soon-

As the drama begins, Min Hyuk swans around on a hoverboard, king of his own little world, but when he meets Bong Soon, he more than meets his match. It’s fun to watch this chaebol throw himself wholeheartedly into a relationship where he is the sidekick who needs to be rescued. He’s also fine with being the cutesy, clingy one, throwing out hearts and flowers to his cooler, more reserved girlfriend. How’s that for a refreshing role reversal?

Over-exaggerated humor is one of those things where some people hate it and some people can’t get enough of it. Silly situations and funny banter are commonly seen in many K-dramas, but have you ever seen a drama that had such a wacky sense of humor that it made you double over in laughter? Warning: the camp is strong in these dramas. If you can’t handle over-exaggerated humor, better look elsewhere.

Let’s be real. There are A LOT of cheesy K-dramas out there. Sometimes we watch a particular scene that we’ve seen countless times before that is off-the-charts cheesy, but we still can’t help but love it. There are various tropes or elements that usually result in a drama giving off a cheesy vibe. Some aspects include an accidental hug or kiss, an over-the-top confession, a background song, and super sweet displays of affection in the form of actions or words. And although these cheesy elements are enough to make us cringe, it still doesn’t take away from the fact that the K-drama is an absolute pleasure to watch. Idol Actors Fill the Big Screen in 2019

photo1104477.jpg

The 2019 theaters had exceptionally many films with idols who jumped over to acting in the lead.

They were above expectations and some even showed their true value as the blue-chip performers of Chungmuro. However, not all of them were successful.

One of the most successful idol-actors this year is, without a doubt, Girls' Generation Yoona. She had been in the spotlight as an idol-actress since Girls' Generation was active, and starred in numerous dramas, building on her filmography. However, her first film debut was the 2017 work "Confidential Assignment". She started off slowly with a small role until finally she landed herself a role in "Exit - Movie" as 'actress Im Yoona'. She tackled the role of Eui-joo, an ordinary worker who suddenly finds herself in the middle of a natural disaster. She did so well she was almost as good as actor Jo Jung-suk, the icon of comedy film. She also managed to pull off the unique action style of having to climb up higher using her knowledge in mountain climbing.

photo1104479.jpg

Park Hyung-sik, an idol who made a name for himself as an acting idol, didn't have it easy in his first film either. His first screen challenge was "Juror 8" and it came out in May based on the subject of the country's first trial of public participation. However, the movie stopped at 280,000 views as well. Park Hyung-sik played Kwon Nam-woo, a young businessman who somehow ended up as a juror.

*** Awww........ Choi Woo Shik’s friends reached out to express their support at his historic win at the SAG Awards (Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG), which took place on January 19 (local time), in Los Angeles, California. And one of them was PHS! “Parasite” made history on this night by becoming the first foreign language film to win Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. Choi Woo Shik was at the event. He posted a photo and wrote, “Choi Woo Shik forever.”  - Park Hyung Sik (who is currently in the military) is part of a friend group called the “Wooga crew” and frequently shared photos of their hangouts together before. I admire their kind of friendship together with BTS’s V, Choi Woo Shik, Park Seo Joon, & Peakboy.  They're supportive towards each other. A solid & perfect friendship.  May your friendship grow even stronger. Congratulations to the Parasite team!

New fan here. I am kinda pissed I didn't discover him earlier. LOL. But thank you Netflix!

He is sooooo good looking! Like cute and manly all at the same time. The eyes and his lashes are to die for. So expressive! Top that with great personality and multitalent! Seems down to earth too considering he came from a well-off family.

Romantic Korean Dramas On Netflix To Sweeten Your Valentine’s Week

romantic-korean-dramas-660x315.jpg

Ready your K-Drama marathon essentials and ride the romantic vibe this Valentine’s week!

Netflix laid out a saccharine plan for you to feel warm especially if you are single or your V-Day celebration unfortunately encountered a rain check.

Guaranteed to delight with heart-fluttering moments, these suggested Korean dramas are only a few taps away from Netflix through your mobile devices.

Strong Girl Bong Soon

It is a whimsical love ride with thugs, a psycho, a policeman, a gaming company CEO and a woman with extraordinary strength. The labyrinth is a whirlwind of cuteness, mirth and everything a fan would ask K-drama gods for.

Consistently endearing with amusing surprises along the way, Strong Woman Bong Soon is a delightful romantic comedy. It reaches a heartfelt closure for a love that missed its timing, and celebrates how true love happens when you are patient enough to wait.

What made this drama so endearing is the perfect fusion of the love couple/triangle chemistry, the warranted humor and even the slapstick travesty. Wrapping up nicely, the charming tale of the heroine who blooms to become a woman who acknowledges her strengths and frailties is a must-watch treat perfect for your K-Drama list.
