I'm really enjoy reading this thread so far from investigation, imagination, delusional and reasonable ,yep.. lurk here again from time to time, and sincerely happy with this shipping thread  because most of ppl here really love JE and JG as Haesoo&Wangso and also as her&him. One thing I learn about is that there are some who are happy, some who are doubt and also some who are scare of scandal though in my opinion, people choose to believe what they want to and it's nothing wrong about that. At first, I thought it will take me a long time to post in this thread again but some post make me wanna state what in my mind too.  

People fall in love and fall out of love everyday ,everywhere and there are many reasons behind that maybe we never known. It's not the bad thing to fall in love, so as fall out or break up. It's just time, internal or external factors and many more that make it happen and I think if they meant to be, they will be together and if they don't, thing will happen the way it will. People have choice and they have to choose their own. As fans, we can't control or choose what their life should be and I think JE&JG will choose what their heart want, they are adult who have strong mind and go though the hardship in the past.

But in some post, ppl just states his/her words(opinion) like fact without sources or evidences (ex. if you mean someone attended JE concert in Seoul, just because one stylist ,some said she's close to Voldy band, who came to her concert and was in hyukoh clip but my point is she also works with many other groups and close with yg artist and there was no evidence that he came. And in this thread, there are many ppl who also JE fan for a long time and we also read many rumors. just wanna say that rumors are just rumors until the truth comes or the news broke out. For the ideal type, there is not thing we can say "totally her ideal type" unless you are JE herself or her close friends. For me, I don't think he's a bad person or someone like that, he create his career and it's good thing but love is mystery when it comes, it comes and when it goes, it goes. Whatever you wanna hold, maybe you can't.  Strong or not is depends not only what outsider think but it depends on two people. There are many couples who seems alright but we never known what they really are.

As JE&JG posted that when So smiles, Soo smiles and when they are smile with each other in real life, ppl in this thread also smile and happy and nothing's wrong about it coz this is a shipper thread and from what I see the truth is that they're happy and there are somethings change in them positively , for me, that's the importance thing that makes me feel  bliss. I still have the same opinion about them as in my previous post and I truly happy with both JE&JG that they seem to learn from each other and actually happy whenever they are together now.  No matter what happen in the future, I hope they can help each other go through it and I believe that they are strong enough to be together as close friends or more.  Believe whatever you want, just wait&see. @starcandy0516 Chingu, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!  Seriously, you weren't kidding when you said you did a lot of research on this. It's a good feeling to see all our theories validated by others who are closer to the action.

All the things that were noted in the comments above really do underscore the assumption that the breakup has already occurred. No offense to Jang Kiha at all. If our IU chose him for her first relationship, I already know he's a good person. If the rest of you did as much research on the couple, then many should be aware too that once Dispatch broke the news, the couple did in fact experience some hardship once they went public.

So let me state the obvious reasons a breakup may have occured because it's really important for everyone to understand that this is not a simple case where anyone can say the relationship fell apart due to a 3rd person. Both IU and Lee Joon Gi are good people who are definitely better than that. I don't think people realize just how difficult it is for celebrities to maintain public relationships. You have to contend with possessive, hardcore fans. There's also the difference between the genres of IU and Kiha and the Faces. IU is technically a main stream KPop idol, while Kiha and the Faces are an indie band. The latter has a good following, but unfortunately IU has the bigger brand. As such, Kiha and the band were always asked IU-related questions, even during interviews that were focused on promoting their music.  The band, as you can probably suspect, were usually not happy about it (this was even stated in an article with 1 or 2 of the band members). While I'm sure Kiha was very confident with the band's successes, it's not uncommon for disparities in success between a couple to generate some resentment between them. And then of course it didn't help that there were few to no opportunities to get together once filming for SHR began. Too much time apart can be hard on a relationship that's still in it's early stages. And yes...their relationship, despite going into its 3 year, is still considered a young relationship.

This might not sound like a lot to you, but don't forget our IU was suffering from insomnia and bulimia throughout 2014, and then of course the Chatshire lolita controversy in 2015. If you add ALL of this, plus the normal challenges you and I experience with our significant others, that's a lot. I suspect that going public was likely the beginning of the end since it introduced all those additional challenges. It didn't help that the drama started too, because there was little to no time for them to address any issues together.

All of this is of course a theory since there's much we don't know, however keep in mind that we've taken facts from articles and comments from IU herself to create plot points. We just filled in the rest based on the things we know. I know many on the thread won't feel comfortable till they actually see breakup news, but don't be surprised if you see dating news first.

Let's be real tho, I know they love their fans very much but seriously this is the first time I've seen two leads who are going all out in doing fanservice even though the drama has already ended. I'm trying to be really really logical here but they just keep giving us reasons to be suspicious. After all of JoonU interaction at SAF, Lee Hwi Jae's being suspicious to them and JoonU attending each other concert, I have to say there are lots of people being suspicious to them. Before that SAF things happened, I saw no knetz being suspicious to them, so it's only international shipper who have feelings that they are an item. 

About the break up rumors, since October 2016, I have heard about it, but not much. But after all JoonU interaction at SAF, Taiwan Concert, IU-JKH don't nominate for Best Couple With Big Age Gap, there are tons of break up rumor now. I read IU's gallery everyday and looking at the atmosphere on IU's gallery, I have to say lots of Uaena believe that they already break up.

FYI, even before IU's relationship with Voldy was released by Dispatch, I have read lots of fanaccount which said they spotted together at concert and restaurant. When they were still in relationship (after it was released by dispatch) I have read at least 4-5 fanaccount about them eating at restaurant or watching concert in a month. But for now, they never been spotted together since last July (they were eating at restaurant on July). That JKH visiting IU's concert is not credible, no one Uaena saw him and I will take that he's not attending her concert. Even if he did, I'll take it as Senior visiting Junior since it's just visiting concert. SO, SINCE JULY THERE'S NO FANACCOUNT WHICH SAID THEY SPOTTED TOGETHER AT RESTAURANT. So, for people who is still doubt that IU and JKH is still in relationship or not, I hope this will give you the answers. In my opinion, after analyzing all JoonU behaviour to each other, how they do the skinship so freely and reading all the community sites postings, I came into conclusion that IU and JKH already break up and JoonU might be an item right now

WHOA. Thanks so much for your opinion on this matter, and for all your hard work translating all those comments!! It's really interesting to read what knetz are saying. 

Comment #18 (from the LJG at IU concert article) really stood out to me:

“They look so good together. Basically, both of them are easy going and has the same talented image. Personally, if IU doesn’t have boyfriend, if they (JoonU) are dating, they will have great synergy effect to each other. After all, their image is also good and it’s also good to see them (if they are really dating.)”

Besides this being a very rational, thoughtful comment, I really agree with the highlighted portion above. Whether or not JoonU are dating, I also think they would have a great synergy effect on each other. From what I've read about JKH, his experience with fans is on a totally different level from IU b/c he has indie success (maybe the fans there are more lowkey, lol - idk! I'm assuming, but if someone knows, please inform me of how JKH handles his fans) while IU's is mainstream. In contrast, LJG experiences what IU does with his own fans (the craziness, the sheer volume of people, etc), and they both handle their fans effortlessly despite the crowds, the shouting, cameras/phones/video recorders being shoved in their faces with every step they take. They handle all this without breaking the smiles on their faces (seriously - HOW??? lol I really respect both of them on this count), even complying with fan requests. LJG and IU both appreciate and love their fans on a similar level, and in an industry where fan loyalty can make or break you, I think it is unbelievably important that their respective partners understand this aspect to their professional lives. JKH probably gets this, especially after dating IU for two years, but I personally believe LJG understands and believes this on a whole other level. (Besides his own similar experiences, I thought the way LJG handled the crowd at IU's concert was great, for example. Then there's just everything that happened when JoonU arrived at the SAF awards, lol.)

This is just one of many reasons I think LJG and IU would work well together if they date. Besides the fact that the two of them are obviously capable of supporting each other - they've shown us quite a few examples already as friends (or whatever it is they may be).

I go back and forth on what their status could be, but I do think this coming year will be quite interesting indeed. If there is anything going on, them working on separate projects will test this bond since they'll both be quite busy with their own things. We probably won't be getting much crumbs, if any for a long time (I won't underestimate LJG's and IU's ninja capabilities, lol)... I suppose we'll see, though, in what way the chips may fall.

i think many people that ship Jieun and JG actually realized that they both have a hardship and strugle to get where they are right now in entertainment biz.. they both fight so hard and they know the price to pay when they on the higher up in this industries.. also JG and Jieun is obviously a smart people and they show it.. Jieun with no matter how bad thing going on with her she always bounce back and JG keep repeatedly show that he earn the A list actor brand. for me they both understand and realize what will happen if they indeed having a relationship...

this saying that no matter how i look at it JG will never made a move toward Jieun if she still in relationship with Voldy.. i can safely said that in BTS yes JG is all about Jieun but he's holding back too.. i think all interaction between them before Jieun cut her hair is really like a close friend but nothing more... its just on SAF award BAM BAM and BAM.... the skinship and stare is like what Knetz said full of heart and all people can see that... this is the award that being held month after they filming and JG already have a new project so for me they indeed keep in contact or even meeting each other to be this close...

Yeah....I'm gonna say that Joongi doesn't have manner hands when he interacts with Jieun...

LJG sort of did it when the two of them posed for fans and the press at the SAF Awards with his fingers being held straight out instead of gripping her shoulder. Half a manner hand? A quarter? lmao But this is because he was conscious of the cameras. Even then his full palm is still flat against her skin, ha.

Unfortunately, I haven't been a fan of his for very long so I don't know if this is "normal" for him in terms of how he treats his leading ladies. (Or if he actually does manner hands usually? I have a feeling the answer is no, lol.) This level of skinship with IU (esp after the Taiwan stuff)... lol. One thing's for sure - they're both very comfortable with each other.

January 2016 script reading - indifferent. awkward. i don't care attitude vibes.
Feb - June - filming (getting to know each other stage,happy times) month of May - JE's birthday on set.
Theory 1 : during these months feelings are starting, cannot fight the feelings anymore? cannot ignore the feelings anymore? but conflicted and both struggling to fight it because of --- Mr. V.
June - JE's eyes gone fluffy one day 
July - still conflicting emotions, what to do ..what to do.. (while Mr. V is still in denial ...meh !) - they did the Cosmo pictorial
August - presscon, still the atmosphere is tense.  (My observation here during their presscon, this time in regards to IU --since I've long been following her too for some years now -- i agree she is way mature (in the way she views life) beyond her years, but she has also this playful, happy kid side of her, she loves to giggle, laugh even on the most corniest of jokes -- and thus she was known for her hilarious "ahjumma laughter" - you would know if you get to watch in youtube of her funny laugh..HAHAHA).  So imagine my surprise seeing her so serious, i would even say super calm/ melancholy stance during the presscon - both scenes before & during presscon, and the mini-interviews after with the group.  I mean the boys were almost rolling with laughter (remember when the boys were teasing Baekhyun during the sit-down interviews - well yes, she seems to be laughing along, but, i just don't know how to say it, she was not the IU who really loves to laugh heartily without reservations - that i've known of - that day of the presscon.  It's like so formal, extreme level of prim & proper - i don't know it just felt different, stiff, uncomfortable. she was holding back - something like that.

Then October - she cut her hair? then there was the IG post of the MLSHR dining out, but it was like there was a vast ocean between JG & JE.
Then November - after the airing of MLSHR I think the group, to celebrate, dine out again, BUT this time JG & JE were like glued to each other as seen in their group photo this time.

Then the December SAF - where we were showered with much PDAs - public display of affection... LOL
NOW during this SAF - the IU that I know is back ! (as she seems weird that August for me) - she is back in full force, the smiling, giggling, laughing IU that I so love the most - that is her during the SAF. that is her during her Taiwan concert...that is her during JG fan-meet, that iis totally her!!!!  I missed that IU so much. I was so happy...i cry LOL

 

So the question is WHAT WAS BREWING during that time from October - November, what occurred in between, THAT MADE THAT INTRIGUING TURN OF EVENTS we witnessed in SAF....tell me ..whaaaaaat ????

I'm going to tell myself that even though Joongi doesn't deploy manner hands with any of leading ladies, there is a lot of space between him and the other actresses. (In your three pictures, there is at least a foot of space between their bodies. Like an awkward prom photo.) Except with him and Jieun...

Half a manner hand at the start of SAF and progressively became 'no manner' hand as the night went on and when he thought they were out of sight of the cameras. Just refer to back touching after couple awards, end of ceremony (videos and screencaps have been posted on thread)

In Taipei it was the lingering hand- slowly down her back then her hip
