I know right!! wahahhaah . Since I was so depraved of uri OTP lately and was trying to rationalize if I was really just delulu or not being carried of the feels during the hype of the drama and all, it led me to rewatching their vids from presscon , BTS, SAF to Taiwan. And I'm glad I did so since I was able to watch these from a new perspective and led me to seeing things i previously haven't seen before, like the one I pointed out before, so I'm putting the rest of my post in spoiler since I think it's going to be quite long . Hope u guys take a look at it and I'd love to hear what u guys think . when I watched this part, I noticed that this question seemed out of how JG was letting the convo flow with JE's concert audience. I also observed how he turned serious during this time, contrasting to how he's demeanor was before asking the question. Also, his response of 'xie xie" (thank you) when the audience agreed caused the fans to laugh but he remained serious, (assured perhaps?). Anyways, nobody really knows what that question actually mean except for him (and maybe JE??)

does JG understand a little bit of Mandarin?? 'Cus I just noticed, his translator hasn't even translated when the MC said IU was in Taiwan for a concert, (well, maybe he had a clue when he heard IU?) but he already reacted, saying that's right. But the reason I'm asking if he really understands is because, the translator hasn't even said anything about him giving a support message when he started surveying the cameras and asking about them. He was already planning to, maybe?? He also seemed quite embarrassed at first (lauging emabarrassed first and after thinking, turned to the MC to ask for some Chinese praises)?? Also, what made me giddy was he initially addressed her as IU during the "I heard IU-sshi has a lot of fans.." when he was addressing the message to the media/audience but at the end of his message, when he was looking straight into the camera, addressing his message to her, he called her "Jieun-ah" saying he'll see her soon. And the rest is history when THAT fateful night came *sighs lovingly. :)))

 

Also, I can't find a YT vid, but during the best couple interview, when JG was asked why he drank so much, he instead answered with saying: "Haesoo/Jieun looks so beautiful, that he can't help talking to her a lot". He didn't actually answer why he drank a lot xD. He seemed to out himself instead. From his answer, we can deduce: HE TALKED TO HER A LOT BECAUSE SHE LOOKED BEAUTIFUL WHEN HE WAS DRINKING!!!. LOL , oppa, they were asking why you were DRINKING A LOT, not why you TALKED TO HER A LOT.  (at least, we now know uri OTP talks a lot during their meet-ups thanks to JG himself, we also know they never missed a gathering thanks to HJH, so we can say they must have spent a whole lot of talking, huh <3 ) 

 

Lastly, after rewatching all their vids. It's wonderful how you're actually able to get a glimpse of how their relationship and closeness evolved (though we still don't know how they got so close during the time when the drama was airing. since last ep gathering and SAF night was like JUST BAM!! WE'RE THIS CLOSE NOW!!) 

Looking at JG, yeah I now think there was that fondness already which developed when they were filming, and this you can clearly see in the BTS and presscon vids, but I think it was just that during that time?, he seemed to be his normal playful self But his demeanor during SAF and Taiwan concert/fanmeet? This, you can see it's different from just that fondness & playfulness before, it's more intense (can I say inlove?) I mean, the way he was acting, he seemed calm, at peace and every time he stares at JE you can see that tenderness, and the way his eyes seemed to be clinching more when he stared at her. Admiration, tenderness, you can clearly see it. It's also very notable how he seems to really like watching JE's reaction to what he says (this especially apparent in her Taiwan concert vids)

As for JE, just what I keep on saying, as a longtime Uaena I'm so happy seeing that smile on her face again. From the BTS & presscon vids, that's exactly where you can say "they're JUST close colleagues". You can see she was comfortable around him and laughed to his various antics but you can still see the barrier there. But then, last ep, SAF night and Taiwan concert/fanmeet? It's just BAM!, I tell you. You can really see the "FREEDOM" she meant when she was asked what she felt after cutting her hair. You can see her laughs unrestrained, her smile reaching her eyes and her just acting shy and giddy around JG.

I m curious about how Valentine's day would be adressed by our OTP, since  this event is celebrated a little more diffferent in Korea in comparision to another countries..

@iliveforsosoo Chinggu yah, I was going to simply lurk for a bit but I can't say no to a good discussion about our OTP so, I will offer my two cents about my own observation. Here it goes - While I do agree that JG seems to be quite the playful guy who admits himself to playing around on set to lighten up the mood, the BTS with JE compared to his other BTS from other costars have a different feel to it? Admitted, I only have the SWWTN  BTS to compare with and i did notice that he might have been extra friendly with Kim So Eun as well (but i said that with a bit of a stretch considering his perceived flirty personality) What I've noticed with his BTS with JE is that a.) he  has the tendency to keep his eyes on her b.) he finds ways to touch her - it could be patting her head, wiping her nose, pretend to bite her wrist, there's more but I mentioned these ones because they were not necessary even for the sake of rehearsing ^^ c.) he "jokes" about asking her out, pointing out that she's cute d.) he smiles a lot and is extra giddy when she's around.   It looks to me that JG's usual personality is playful with everyone including the staff but when it's JE, he's only playful with JE? The seeds of admiration it seems has been slowly growing from early on. When I look back at the BTS from their first day of shooting, I observed that JG was his usual self - funny and outgoing but still behaving within his personality but slowly,I've noticed the progression to funny but still professional to looking at JE with sparks flying through his eyes.  Ufff, let me catch my feels at the first 10 seconds of the second BTS. I love love JE's cool composure while JG is being so flirty like there's no tomorrow. That was not even a rehearsal scene. Let me know if he has ever acted that way to a co-star previously but I stand corrected that I've never seen him so hyper and flirty with any of his beautiful co-stars and he's worked with lots of them before. I only started shipping JoonJi after watching the BTS scenes because their interactions post filming and promotions were so distant and almost awkward to watch? as if they didn't really know each other. I was surprised when the drama came out and they were oozing with chemistry, something I've never seen JG exude with his past co-stars except Shin Minah (who i think he had the hots for but she probably shot him down because she couldn't handle his hyper personality?)

Lastly, when our ship's sailing gets rough, there's a piece of crumb that I always always seems to hang on to. I can't explain why but ill try.

I'm always curious about JG's crew coat. It's something that I think he gives out to his staff and dancers that he has worked with for years. He even sports the coat himself:

Granted, there's so many reasons why JE would be sporting the JG crew coat. I'd be happy to get ideas from my fellow Stargazers because this is the one coincidence that keep sticking out to me no matter how many crumbs we get. Any input would be appreciated. Logicaly speaking, It could've been that someone (one of JG's staff perhaps) loaned it to her when it got cold but Hanteo oppa manager does not seem to be the negligent type. He always always have JE's blanket ready for her when she needs it that forgetting something important like a winter coat seems unlikely? On surveying the area, It looks like it's just JG and JE sporting the crew coat and no one else. I'm not insinuating that they've purposely donned on a couple coat but if JG had gifted it for JE to use then I am to think that he considers her as one of his people. It's a token that he has never bestowed to any other co-stars (that we are aware of) But I'll be happy to be proven wrong by other much longer JG fans because this mystery coat has kept me wondering for awhile now.

Well that's it chinggu, I can't believe I also wrote a lengthy rhetoric to your post. I have a tendency to rant when it comes to our OTP. I too am looking forward to what our other fellow Stargazers have to say about this.

while JG have a very hyper and outgoing personality toward everyone including all the cast BUT you just can see with JE he have a soft sport for her.. JG is a very gentleman person like everyone point out but with Jieun around his eyes only for her.. this is the biggest different that i can see compared to his other co star who he is still playful but he's aware to other people too but with Jieun he's only have his eyes on her and totally get lost when she's around... also you can see the changing in how JG look at her since the beginning and now.. he's eyes is really tender and intense when he look at Jieun and the way he talk to her also changing.. i just love when he send the support message for Jieun in Taiwan and he do it like he always do but when he address IU as Jieun his tone is down a notch and you can sense how fond he is toward Jieun at that time...

about why i think JG really like Jieun as his co star is because she can handle him.. Jieun for me understand JG completely and how his way of working and that's make JG comfortable.. i think all the BTS of him and Jieun not once he show annoyance about filming even if it take a lot of takes.. JG genuinely seem happy working with Jieun and even if other people critics Jieun acting he stand by what he think because for me JG found someone that he actually enjoyed working and understand him completely.. like you poited out chingu Jieun can be so calm even when JG so hyper but still engaging with him in a way.. also Jieun is JG support when he at loss and vice versa when JG staying to monitor Jieun even when his part is finish.. this is how partner should work together and they show it perfectly when their chemistry on screen is off chart!!

i think JG actually don't know Jieun except her brand name as IU so he kinda asssume Jieun is like other idol but when he keep working with her and get to know her this is when the fondness is starting... we will never know what actually JG discover about Jieun that make him so fond toward her since the beginning but i just try to shoot in the dark and said because of Jieun maturity and hardworking way that attract him... for me this is why JG is so into Jieun even when they filming... Jiun is like someone that he never meet or work so far that make him so interested about her in general....she so young but mature and can handle all the pressure also Jieun is a natural beauty that keep him drinking just to talk to her more.. LOL

but i think with JG confession about the drinking we can all assume that the gathering is made and because they love to talk to each other so much that's why both of them is always present compare to other cast.. its a perfect disguise... kekekeke

Lovely insight chinggu. JE is indeed full of surprises and JG got more than what his initial assumptions about her called for. Their journey from the start heading to forever (kekeke) is a thing to behold and the latest happy bomb that @allets17 dropped was the icing on the sugary cake that we indulged on during the SAF awards. We always save the best for last eh? As if we don't already have too many proof that JG is enamoured with JE, this one tops them all. Poor guy is completely smitten! The way I describe it is he's caught - hook, line and sinker. And I don't think he would be bold enough with his advances if it's not accepted by his object of affection. From what we know of JG, he's too much of a gentleman for that. Now I'll wait patiently for our next confirmation so I can finally move on with my life! BBJX wish get confirmed. @iliveforsosoo one thing that i noticed from JG during IU's concert in Taiwan, he seemed a little nervous, for a moment he was lost for words, you know the kind of nervousness that u have when u about to be introduced to ur crush's siblings lolz...

to me it seemed odd for highly experienced entertainer like JG got nervous in front of audiences, it could be also it was his first time guesting at his co star event (CRMIIW) but still..and i agreed with u they way he asked the question was seems "strange" as if he was seriously asking for something.

regrading ur video of JG' MLHSR promotion interview in Taiwan, i dont know if anyone noticed in some part the MC was asking about his ideal type is it someone like haeso?bla..bla.. and he answered he doesn't have specific type or something like that but then he said his ideal type will be everyone's who company him attending his FM, and the MC said "so everyone who attends ur tomorrow FM could be ur girlfriend", he nooded and said yes all the fans whose attend tomorrow  (but then we know who came to his fm the next day??!!...for me that was the biggest crumbs i ever heard from JG lolz...) #callmedelulu

even though i am their new fans but i pretty much got the idea regarding their background and personalities thanks to u guys both of their respective long time fans. 

I started to ship them after watchinh bts, and this is my first time to be a shipper.  I usually didn't get easily swayed by the closeness or the firltyness of drama couples, but for JoonU it seemed natural and their personality seemed to balanced and complete each other perfectly thats why i ship them.

@gijoe8 u read my mind chingu..Taiwan is their honeymoon destination indeed lolz..oh i wish i could be as lucky as Taiwan fans got a changed to witness their special moments in person, but then i am already grateful thou seeing their relationship unfolding from a far.  

I also keep wondering how the valentine day will be like for our JoonU, can't wait to get crumbs or cakes (hopefully) thinking about it is even more exciting then thinking about my own valentine day planning with hubby
