in R1994 I remember E20 was mostly about CB-NJ but the whole ep shows how NJ just see CB as a friend, in the end on E21 Oppa-ya is revealed to be the hubby. so..........I hope the same thing will happen this time!

Came here after replaying the preview how many times. Yeah like someone said, DR's talking about BR and SW, that must be it. And aigoo Taek's face at the end. Junghwan's smile in that leather jacket?  Couple more days guys !!! We can get through this!

a fanfic.....where episode 18 left off : PART 1 (let me know if i should make more/not ) 

After Junghwan pays the bill at the restaurant, the gang heads out outside to help Taek with parking, as he has just arrived. Deokson says, "Hey guys, I'm going to the bathroom. Wait a sec." As she passes by the table they sat at, the waiter goes to clean-up, but she picks up the ring that Junghwan left, before she heads to the bathroom. Deokson returns outside as Sunwoo finishes parking for Taek. Deokson notices that she has a new message on her beeper. She tells the rest of the guys to go ahead, as she runs to the nearest telephone booth to listen to the message. In the message, Bora says, " Appa, is fine now that he got some rest at the hospital. The whole situation at the bank has really got him stressed, but he says not to worry." Deokson breathes a sigh of relief as she walks towards the driver's side of Junghwan's car. Junghwan asks her if she got an important call. She tells him about her dad and his health the past couple of days. Junghwan smiles to himself while thinking, "ah, so that is what she was waiting for.. " The whole car ride to the next bar, Junghwan stares at Deokson to see if her face showed any reaction after the proposal. Deokson just stares straight ahead. 

At the next bar, the mood is good and everyone is reminiscing some more about old times. Dong Ryong makes fun of how Deok son  got dumped at the concert on Sunday. Finally, Deokson says, "Alright (kkeu ray) , You wanna know the reason why I can't make any relationship work... I haven't been able to get over someone....(as she pulls out Junghwan's ring) : 

"Junghwan ah, I was going to confess to you before, but I wanted to wait until everyone was here. 

I like you. I said I like you. Ya, do you know how many crazy things I did for you back then. Knowing you went to school even earlier, I would show up two hours earlier to the bus stop, just so I could see you. And when you came to the McDonalds in Apunjang, after a single call, or the times you protected me on the bus, do you even know how many times my heart fluttered? You were everything on my mind.  And do you even know how heart broken I was when, you gave my birthday gift to Jungbong? *laughs to the side* 

I must have been crazy from all of the carbon monoxide, but I was just so happy whenever I saw you. I just wish I could have saw you every day 

Pabo, I really really like you. I love you. "

Dong Ryong from shock chokes on his food, while Sunwoo does the Heimlich maneuver. Taek also tries to help Dongryong. Junghwan and Deok son not noticing anyone else, just stare into each other's eyes with love. As Dong ryong comes back to his senses, he shouts, " YAHHHH!!! I almost had a heart attack, tell me that was a joke Soo yeonie?" Deokson just shakes her head to the side and then stares at Junghwan all the while saying to Dongryong ,"Aniyo, Chincha saranghae" and then kisses Junghwan in front of everyone, across the table. Dongryong faints this time and sunwoo is now performing CPR.Junghwan is in complete shock that he didn't register that his first love just kissed him. 

Taek smiles, and then Junghwan dumbfounded, asks Taek if he knew she planned this all along. Taek says, "yes, I knew. I told Deokson that I was fine, and that you guys should be together already" **cut to scene where Deokson tells Taek that she has only liked Junghwan all these years and that she feels sorry for not accepting his feelings (and Taek taking it like a champ afterwards)  *** PART one end...

Deok Sun drove the car back to Seoul while Taek was sleeping. She turned up the volume and sing along to the song out loud but Taek still slept like a baby. They arrived at Ssangmundong before lunch and walked back to their street. 

Jung Hwan’s car was parked in front of their house when she arrived. The front gate was wide opened. Deok Sun stepped in and saw both of Jung Hwan’s parents standing on the courtyard, looking worried. 

“What happened?” Deok Sun asked. Before both of them could answer, Jung Hwan and Sun Woo walked toward them, carrying her dad. Her mom, Bo Ra and No Eul followed both of them. Her mom was crying. 

“Appa!” Deok Sun ran to him. 

“Yah! Where have you been?” Bora snapped and hit her right away. She didn’t care. 

“What’s wrong with him?” she asked her sister, almost crying. 

“I don’t know, he suddenly fainted,” she answered, looked like in the verge of tears herself.  

Her mom ran outside and opened Jung Hwan’s car door for them. Jung Hwan and Sun Woo carried him inside the car while they all followed them. 

“Deok Sun-ah, we’ll take him to my hospital, okay? Just go to the ER,” Sun Woo told her before he got in the car. Deok Sun nodded. Jung Hwan drove the car away immediately. 

“Let’s just took a taxi,” Bora was ready to go even though she was only wearing pajamas. 

“Unnie, wear a jacket, at least,” Deok Sun frowned. “I’ll borrow Taek’s car.” 

No Eul and Bo Ra ran to their house to change their clothes. Jung Hwan’s parents were still standing outside with her. 

“Call us as soon as you got news, okay?” Jung Hwan’s mom told her. 

“Yes, ahjumma,” Deok Sun nodded before went to Taek’s house. He was sleeping when she opened his door. She patted his shoulder to wake him up. Taek opened his eyes, half asleep. 

“Why?” he asked. 

“Can I borrow your car?” she asked him. He nodded and pointed to the table where he left his car key. 

“Where are you going?” he asked. 

“Hospital,” she answered shortly and took his key. There was no time to explain it to him.  

“Who’s sick?” he sat up, looking worried. 

“I’ll tell you later. Thank you, Taek-ah,” she got out and close his door. She practically ran outside. Bo Ra and No Eul followed her to the car without a word. Deok Sun gave the key to No Eul, she was too tired to drive now. 

No one said anything on the way to the hospital. Bad thoughts filled Deok Sun’s mind. He always looked tired lately. He got home so late at night and then went to work early in the morning. He didn’t have enough rest for weeks, her mom told her the night before. 

She sighed. Her dad should retire already. She and Bo Ra could provide for the family. No Eul would graduate this year anyway. There was no more reason for him to work this hard. 

They arrived in the hospital not long after that and they went to the ER right away. Deok Sun looked around, searching for his dad while Bo Ra asked a nurse where their dad was. 

“Deok Sun-ah!” 

She turned her head and saw Jung Hwan waved at her. She ran to him, suddenly got an urge to hold him so he can assure her everything was going to be alright. They looked at each other for a second before she stopped herself and looked at her dad. He was lying down, looked like he was sleeping, only with an IV drip attached to his wrist. 

“What’s wrong with him?” she asked her mom who was sitting beside him. Bo Ra and No Eul followed her and they all stood near the bed, worried. 

“He’s too tired,” she answered, calmer than all of them. “He just needs some rest.” 

They all sighed in relieve. After her worries went away, fatigue suddenly hit her and she held on to the edge of the bed to steady herself. 

“Are you okay?” Jung Hwan asked her softly. She looked at him and nodded, couldn’t help thinking there was nothing stopping them to be together. She could even tell him she loved him now and she wouldn’t have to hurt anyone. Jung Hwan looked worried, kept staring at her to assure himself that she was okay. 

“Ahjumma,” Sun Woo called her mom. Deok Sun didn’t even realize Sun Woo came and stood beside her. “Ahjussi needs to stay in the hospital for one to two days. Do you want me to fill the registration form?” 

“I’ll do it,” Bo Ra told him right away. Sun Woo looked awkward but nodded. He let her walked first and followed behind her.  

“Just wait outside so you all can sit down,” her mom told them. “It’s too cramped in here anyway.” 

They all walked to the waiting room beside the ER and sat there. Deok Sun leaned to the chair, gratefully. She needed to sleep, or at least drink a cup of coffee. 

“Noona, where did you go last night?” No Eul suddenly asked her. Deok Sun glared at him, warning him so he wouldn’t say another word. No Eul scoffed. “Why? Do you have a boyfriend now?” 

“Yah!” Deok Sun hit his arm and he only laughed. She looked at Jung Hwan who avoided her gaze right away.  

“I went to my friend’s house, okay?” she lied to No Eul while looking at Jung Hwan to see his reaction. He kept a poker face, as usual. She sighed, he better not misunderstand anything anymore. 

“I got it,” No Eul answered, though still looked suspicious. “I’m hungry. Noona, do you want to eat something?” 

“No, I just need coffee,” she answered. 

“I’ll go with you,” Jung Hwan stood up right away. Deok Sun pouted. He just didn’t want to be alone with her. 

“Yah, buy something for mom too,” Deok Sun told No Eul. He nodded before they left.  

She sighed. She wondered how to make No Eul leave them alone so she can talk to him. He would go back to Sacheon today. She didn’t have much time. She had to talk to him today, no matter what. 

 

… 

 

“Hyung, do you want kimbab?” No Eul asked Jung Hwan. He shook his head. He wasn’t hungry, he just came here so he wouldn’t have to be alone with Deok Sun. 

Where did she go last night anyway? Didn’t he drop her near home with the other guys? She was still wearing the same clothes from last night. 

He sighed. He knew he shouldn’t think about her anymore. He gave up already. He couldn’t help thinking about his confession last night and felt a sharp pain in his chest. He pushed that thought away. 

No Eul bought a lot of kimbab for everyone and they walked back to the waiting room. Jung Hwan saw a vending machine and stopped to buy a cup of coffee. 

“Hyung, bought one for noona too,” No Eul told him. 

“This one is for your noona,” he answered and regretted it right away. No Eul raised his eyebrow, surprised.  

“Good, then,” he said shortly, knew better not to ask question. He started to walk again and Jung Hwan followed him. He didn’t say anything after that and Jung Hwan didn’t want him to think further about the coffee. 

“How did you get here after us? Taxi?” Jung Hwan asked him to change the topic. No Eul shook his head. 

“Taek hyung’s car,” he answered. “It’s weird, though. Sun Woo hyung said Taek hyung wasn’t home, that’s why we asked you to drive dad to hospital.” 

Jung Hwan smiled bitterly. She was with Taek after all and right after his confesion too. Just what he had been doing all this time? He should’ve moved on a long time ago. It wasn’t like he gained anything by pining on her for more than six years.    

“Hyung, aren’t you going back to Sacheon today?” No Eul asked him. Jung Hwan nodded. “You should go home and pack up, then. You don’t have to stay.” 

“I got it. I’ll leave first, okay?” Jung Hwan gave the cup to No Eul and walked away without looking back. He didn’t even care that he was being a coward. He couldn’t handle seeing her again. Not today. 

 

… 

 

Deok Sun woke up and saw No Eul was eating kimbab beside her while watching tv. She looked around but Jung Hwan was nowhere to be found.  

“Where’s Jung Hwan?” she asked. 

“Hyung went home,” he answered.  

richard simmons. How long did she sleep? What if Jung Hwan already left? She stood up right away, but remembered her dad and stayed there. 

“He’s going back to Sacheon today, right? He said he needed to pack,” No Eul told her, frowning when he asked again, “Noona, where are you going now? Bo Ra noona hasn’t even come back yet.” 

“Dad still in the ER?” she asked. No Eul nodded. “I’ll be right back, okay? Tell mom I’ll bring dad’s changing clothes.” 

“Bring a sweater for me too, noona! It’s freezing here,” said No Eul. Deok Sun ignored him and walked as fast as she can to the lobby. She saw a payphone and decided to leave a message in his pager. 

“Kim Jung Hwan, I need to talk to you. I’m going home now. Don’t you dare leave before we talk, okay?” 

She hung up the phone and got out of the building. She was going to walk to the edge of the road so she can hail a taxi, but thankfully someone got out of one in the lobby. She got into the empty taxi right away. 

“Where are you going?” the driver asked her. 

“Ssangmundong, ahjussi,” she answered. 

She looked at the sky, the sun almost set already. She checked the clock on the taxi’s tape. It was almost 6. 

All kind of thoughts ran through her mind on the way to Ssangmundong. What if they miss each other again, like they always did for years? She didn’t know when he would go home again. What if he really move on this time? What if the next time she see him, he’ll introduce his girlfriend to their squad?  

She felt tears in the corner of her eyes. She sighed and let them fall. This would be the last time she cried because of misunderstanding between them. She promised to herself. She would tell him what she felt about him, no matter what. If he already left, she would go to Sacheon to tell him. 

 

… 

 

Jung Hwan had his last lunch at home while his mom sat in front of him, perfectly content to watch his son eat. 

“Omma, you’re not eating?” he asked. 

“No, I already had lunch,” she answered, smiling. Jung Hwan nodded and continued his meal. “When you will come home again?” 

“Maybe on the Seollal,” he answered. 

“I got it,” she nodded, smiling. She smiled a lot these days. “You want your dad to drive you to the station?” 

“It’s okay,” Jung Hwan scoffed. “I’ll just take taxi.” 

“Do you want me to iron your uniform?” she asked again. 

“No, I’m not wearing it now. I’ll just change after I arrived in Sacheon,” he finished his meal and got up to wash the dishes. 

“It’s okay, I’ll wash it for you,” his mom took the plate from him and walked to the kitchen. Jung Hwan smiled and followed her. He stood beside her and held her shoulder. 

“What’s wrong, omma? I’ll come home soon,” he said. His mom wouldn’t look at him, only nodding her head. 

“Call me often, okay? You wouldn’t call unless I call you first,” she told him. Jung Hwan’s smile widened. 

“I got it.” 

“You should go now, you’ll miss your train.” 

Jung Hwan took his bag from his room. He checked his pager and he got a message. He picked up the phone to listen to the message. He could recognize that voice in the first word. 

“Kim Jung Hwan, I need to talk to you. I’m going home now. Don’t you dare leave before we talk, okay?” 

Jung Hwan hesitated for a second. What else they need to talk about? Didn’t she make it clear already? He shook his head to convince himself he shouldn’t wait for her. He promised to himself. He got out of his room. His whole family was already waiting by the door when he got out.  

“Aigoo, no need to see me out,” he said. Of course, they followed him to the gate anyway. They all hugged him before he really left. His mom looked like she was about to cry. 

“Omma, why are you being like this?” Jung Hwan gave her a hug again. She patted his back and nodded. 

“Go,” she said. He smiled and waved to them before walked away. He thought about Deok Sun again. Would he regret not talking to her? 

 

… 

 

Deok Sun ran as soon as she got out of the taxi. She saw him walking away and she called him right away.  

“YAH, KIM JUNG HWAN!” 

She didn’t care his whole family was there, watching them. Tears were already running down her face when she ran to him. He just froze there, looking surprised and confused at the same time. 

“You’re leaving? You’re going to ignore me again, you jerk!” she was so mad at him, she hit his head immediately. “You wouldn’t even let me talk! Why bother confessing?” 

“Yah,” Jung Hwan looked at her and his family and then her again. He smiled at them and dragged her to the end of the street so they can’t see them. Thankfully, they thought they were just bickering as usual and went inside. 

He stopped in front of the stair. He wouldn’t look at her, but she kept holding on to his arm. She wouldn’t let him get away again. Her tears wouldn’t stop falling, but she started talking anyway. 

“You think it was a chance when we met on the bus? I woke up really early and waited for you at the bus stop,” she felt she could explode because all her feelings that had been buried for years.  

He looked stunned. His eyes widened, like he couldn’t believe everything she said. He looked at her, didn’t know what to say. 

“I really wanted to go to that concert with you, to the point I begged you to go with me in my sleep. When you finally said yes, I was so happy, I thought I’m going crazy too.  

“And do you know how sad I was when I thought you gave that pink shirt to Jung Bong oppa? I thought you hated it, even though I picked it to match those pink gloves you gave me.” 

She cried so much, she felt like her eyes were already swollen. Jung Hwan finally smiled and wiped her tears. His hands felt warm on her cold skin. Her voice was already hoarse but she kept talking anyway. She didn’t want Jung Hwan to miss anything. 

“I miss you even when I see you every day. I’m the happiest when I’m with you,” she whispered. He was grinning from ear to ear and it made her laughed. “I like you too, you idiot. I love...” 

Jung Hwan stepped closer and held her tight, laughing. She held him back, buried her face on his shoulder and cried some more. He patted her back, laughed again. 

“I love you too,” she whispered to him. He pulled away slightly, wiped her tears again, still grinning. They looked at each other and his grin slowly disappeared when the awareness of how close they were seeped into his mind. He leaned closer again and she closed her eyes when their lips touched. 

The kiss was everything she imagined it would be and his full lips were as kissable as she always thought. His hand held her cheek gently while his other hand ran down her back, held her waist and pulled her even closer. She touched his neck and she could feel him shuddered. 

He tilted his head and kissed her so until she opened her mouth and let him do what he wanted. This beast, really. Dong Ryong said he never really dated anyone but why is he such a good kisser? 

“Wait,” Deok Sun slightly pulled away to catch her breath. Jung Hwan looked at her so intensely and it made her legs felt weak. He leaned closer again but she stopped her. She looked around, afraid someone will see them. It was already dark, but still early in the night. Anyone could’ve passed by and seen them. 

“Why?” he asked, softly. 

“What if someone see us?” she asked. 

“Yah, we’re adult. I’m leaving tonight and I’ve been waiting for six years. Who cares?” Jung Hwan scoffed. She pouted. Why did he have to remind her that he would leave tonight? 

“Do you really have to leave?” she asked. He sighed and nodded. “Can’t you leave tomorrow?” 

“I had to be there tomorrow morning,” he told her. “I already bought the last train ticket too.” 

“Take your car, then. I’ll come with you and drive it back to Seoul,” she grinned. At least they can spent a few more hours together. He smiled, stroked her cheek gently. 

“Okay,” he said. She laughed happily and he hugged her again. They didn’t say anything for a while, just enjoying the moment. 

“I had to tell my family, though. Is it okay?” he asked. She nodded. 

“I had to go to hospital first and told my parents too,” she could see he gulped after she said that. The thought of talking to her dad scared him a bit. 

“But first I need to change my clothes and wash up,” she laughed and finally pulled away from him. She took his hand and he squeezed it gently. They walked to their house, both wearing a huge smile in their faces. 

 

 

Finished part 2 of my fic! It might be a few last fic I wrote and I'm getting emotional.  Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy it as usual

it's normal on Reply.. but let me tell you, the drama is focused on Junghwan and Deoksun, mostly. Junghwan's family and Deoksun's family get the most screentime and exposure, and the set up between JH-DS.. all that coincidences, their chemistry, their interactions with other family.. that just screams of him being the husband. My advice: just focus to the flow of the story.. Stop looking at the color theories and just focus on the story. We dont know Taek's particular feelings. Yes, we know he admits he likes Deoksun, but then we have Junghwan's confession about how he's in love with her for all these years.. we all know he steps back and his hesitations become obstacle for him to saying his feelings to her.. And that whole narration about fate.. The previous Reply husbands also saying that, and they end up being the endgame. all of that is a buildup for JH to finally being Deoksun's husband in the end.. Even Deoksun is really bonding with JH's family the most. Way connected than when she is interacting with Taek's Dad anyway. And remember, Deoksun doesnt know anything about Baduk, while she can talk casually about all things with JH (they even have the same music taste, and now she becomes stewardess and he becomes a pilot, for sure they will have more things to discuss) Just focus to the flow of the story.. and if you need assurance, just backread this pages.. There are lots of in-depth analysis that should convince you that JH is the endgame. You know kdrama rule: male leads always suffer the most to have their happy ending. And this very much applied to this drama

i also though that what DR said in preview is regarding SWxBR relationship. but he look so angry and he know it by phone. i dunno, i though DR expression should be funny like when JH confess when he know about SW relationship

This is just my speculation, maybe Sung appa is forced to retired or he get presure from the company and have no time with family or his salary was cut off. to many scenario that i could think.

About DR scene, my first thought that probably JH called him and told him that JH are posting far away from seoul. i hope not.

Ahhhh...Finally preview! I don't know about you guys but me, I'm not getting disheartened! Don't! Looks like there's still a lot more to tell about the family w/c was always been the heart of the show but also Deok Sun is seems finally making it straight that she just treated Taek as a friend from the start. Finally she's sorting out her feelings between the two because it's all that's needed to do! Looks like of course they'll drag the Deok Sun-Jung Hwan moment and confrontation and such on the last episode. Gah. I seriously can't wait!

It's just a liiiiiil bit worry of DR's real worried voice, seems it's something serious, more serious than just SW-BR dating news. And just fyi, pink phone is in Taek's room anyway, means he received phone call from someone else. Uuuuuuuhm.
