The casting process has almost wrapped up for the drama "Who Are You - School 2015." And soon school will be in session.

"Who Are You - School 2015" is the sixth in the series of KBS school dramas. Each of the dramas has focused on issues that face today's students in Korea. This one focuses on the precariously positive and negative sides of popularity.

This "School" drama is so far set to star David Lee, Kim So Hyun, Nam Joo Hyuk and Yook Seong Jae. The drama is set in Gangnam's upscale Segang High School.

Kim So Hyun, who also appears in the early episodes of "Sensory Couple," starring Park Yoochun and Shin Se Kyung, will play two roles in "School 2015."

She plays Eun Byul, the most popular girl in the school. Eun Byul rules the school and is the girl that every other girl wants to be. But then Eun Byul mysteriously disappears. And a transfer student who looks like her starts pretending to be her.

Kim So Hyun also plays the transfer student who looks like Eun Byul. At her last school she was bullied and had no friends. Suddenly she's a star. Ironically, the girl who was at the bottom of the social ladder in one school becomes the most popular at her new school.

That's a hard thing to give up.

Model-turned-actor Nam Joo Hyuk plays Ham Ian, a handsome high school student and exceptional swimmer. He presents a cold and indifferent front but he's really a nice guy. He's afraid to reveal his true self. Nam was last seen playing Park Dae Bak in the drama "The Idle Mermaid."

Actor and BTOB member Yook Seung Jae plays Gong Tae Gwang, a troubled boy with an explosive temper. Yook last played the teenage brother in the drama "Nine Plus Boys."

David Lee, who played Seo Hwa's younger brother in "Gu Family Book, will play honor student Park Min Joon. His character's nickname is "Study Robot" and he comes Eun Byul's academic rival.

Several stars have seen a boost in their careers after appearing in the "School" series. The series is known for introducing young rising stars. Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin, who starred in "School 2013," became household names after they played two friends who deal with school bullying.

"Who Are You - School 2015" will premiere on April 27.

cr: 출처: twitterIt seems that KSH is filming at a high school in Busan... hmm I think that she's filming for the role of the twin who's transferring to the school. Otherwise, it wouldn't make sense, since the setting in the drama is at a high school in Gangnam.

The production team for upcoming KBS 2TV Mon-Tue drama ‘Who Are You – School 2015,’ has today revealed photos from the drama’s first script reading session featuring Kim So Hyun, Nam Joo Hyuk, BTOB’sYook Sung Jae, and many more.

The session saw the presence of PD Baek Sang Hoon, writers Kim Hyun Jung and Kim Min Jung, Kim So Hyun, Nam Joo Hyuk, Yook Sung Jae, Kim Hee Jung, Lee Cho Hee, David Lee, and many others.

The cast members will able to accurately portray the emotions of 18 year old students, and also left everyone amazed with their vivid performances and great chemistry. Their performance also made the session really lively and bubbly, as they accurately brought out the frustrations and feelings of their same-age roles.

Following the conclusion of the session, PD Baek Sang Hoon expressed, “We will work hard so that viewers will have a fun time watching the drama, and I hope that everyone involved will have a great time filming the drama too.”

‘Who Are You – School 2015′ will premiere on April 27th, following ‘Blood.’

Additional info about the cast: 
David Lee (Gu Family Book) plays the smartest kid in school who rivals Kim So-hyun for first place; Lee Cho-hee (Maids) is a model student who hides an ambitious side, and she’s a bit of a pot-stirrer among her friends. Hello Venus’s Yooyoung (Sly and Single Again) is a mean girl who parties and bullies her classmates, and Park Doo-shik (She’s So Lovable) plays her boyfriend. He’s also a punk, and together they’ll be the school’s gangster couple.

The production team for upcoming KBS 2TV Mon-Tue drama ‘Who Are You – School 2015,’ has today released new photos of lead actress Kim So Hyun.
In the photos, Kim So Hyun is seen in her high school uniform, as she gets bullied by other students. She is seen being doused in flour and eggs, and ends up sprawled on the floor in a unsightly fashion.
A filming staff revealed that Kim So Hyun showed great professionalism through the filming of this particular scene, and couldn’t stop tearing even after the filming had concluded, and demonstrated that she had totally gotten into character.
Meanwhile, ‘Who Are You – School 2015′ which will be led by Nam Joo Hyuk, Kim So Hyun, and BTOB’s Yook Sung Jae, will premiere on April 27th following ‘Blood.’

Photos from Kim So Hyun's first shoot for drama 'Who Are You - School 2015' were unleashed.

Channel KBS 2TV's new drama, 'Who Are You - School 2015' is going to premiere on April 27th, and photos from Kim So Hyun's first shoot were unleashed.

Kim So Hyun is playing in the drama as a high school girl named Lee Eun Bi, and the photos show Kim So Hyun covered in flour and egg. She is also weeping in sorrow, and many people are showing shocked reactions.

Now, many people are showing huge curiosity about why she had to go through so much troubles from her first shoot.

Kim So Hyun's first shoot was held at a high school that is located in Busan on April 5th, and it is said that Kim So Hyun focused on her part so much that it took her a while to recover after the shoot.

A representative of the drama's production team said, "'Who Are You - School 2015' is going to show many different episodes that happen in a high school, and the drama will include many troubles that teenagers go through in reality. We hope that many people would show a lot of supports for the drama."

Meanwhile, 'Who Are You - School 2015' is going to premiere on April 27th at 10 PM as the sequel of 'BLOOD.'

The production team for upcoming KBS 2TV Mon-Tue drama ‘Who Are You – School 2015,’ has today revealed the stories behind the casting process of Kim So Hyun, Nam Joo Hyuk, and BTOB’s Yook Sung Jaefor the leading roles.

It was said that the production team had considered first on whether the particular cast member will fit the drama role, and they had a lot of discussions with many people. They wanted to look for cast members who were highly similar to the drama roles, and their potential to perform. After much thought and discussions, they finally came out with the names of Kim So Hyun, Nam Joo Hyuk, and Yook Sung Jae.

The female lead role of Lee Eun Bi will be played by Kim So Hyun, who is the youngest cast member in the production. Yet, Kim So Hyun is taking on arguably the most important role of the whole drama. As she is playing a role that’s similar to her age, Kim So Hyun will no doubt show off the requisite charms of a high school student to perfection.

Nam Joo Hyuk’s lanky physique, good looks, and calm nature, totally resembled his character of Han Ian. Having been a swimmer in the past, Nam Joo Hyuk will definitely bring to life his role of Han Ian who is also a swimmer in the drama to perfection.

Yook Sung Jae will play the ‘ticking time bomb’ of Sekang High School called Gong Tae Kwang, and one can’t help but be drawn to him at first glance. During his audition, the production team purposely gave him an oddball question, and Yook Sung Jae’s response totally resembled what the team was looking for in the character Gong Tae Kwang.

‘Who Are You – School 2015′ will premiere on April 27th, following ‘Blood.’

KBS recently released the first photos from the highly anticipated youth drama, “Who Are You: School 2015” which depict Kim So Hyun as the victim of bullying. She will portray dual roles in the series, with the photos depicting her character Lee Eun Bi. To escape the students who have repeatedly bullied her, Eun Bi transfers to Segang High School, a prestigious private school. Her twin sister, Lee Eun Byul, also attended the school but mysteriously disappears before Eun Bi arrives. Eun Bi capitalizes on the absence of her sister, who was one of the most popular students at the school and assumes her identity.

In the teaser photos, the actress is covered in flour and eggs, evoking the disturbing imagery of Gu Hye Sun as a bullied student at Shinhwa High School in “Boys Over Flowers.” Gu Hye Sun won over the hearts of viewers as Geum Jan Di, a scrappy poor girl who was initially on the receiving end of brutal bullying from her privileged classmates at the private school. While the scenes were difficult to watch, they contributed to the appeal of Jan Di with K-Drama audiences.

Model-turned-actor Nam Joo Hyuk (Surplus Princess) will portray Han Yi Ahn in the series. The young cast also includes BtoB’s Sungjae, Yooyoung of Hello Venus and Lee David (Gu Family Book).

The scenes teased in the photos from “Who Are You: School 2015” were reportedly filmed at a high school in Busan. The show is the sixth installment in the KBS teen series which aired through the late ‘90s through 2002. The series was revitalized in 2013 with “School 2013.”

“School 2013” was incredibly successful, bolstering the careers of Kim Woo Bin and Lee Jong Suk. Jang Nara and Choi Daniel starred as struggling teachers who wanted to improve the lives of the students at Seung Ri High School. The school, which ironically bore name of the Korean word for victory, was a faltering institution with students whose problems ranged from bullying, suicide and the controversial issue of high-priced private tutors.

‘Who Are You: School 2015’ Revealed The Secret Story Of The Casting

[by You-bin Ha] The casting of the drama attracted lots of people’s attention since many rising stars, Kim Sohyun, Nam Joohyuk and Yuk Sungjae, have been casted to play the roles. The staff of the drama revealed the behind-the-scene story of the casting. 

According to them, the synchronization between characters and actors was the most important point. The staff did several auditions and meetings with actors and talked a lot about the characters. After all this effort, they finally completed Sekang High School’s class. 

First of all, Kim Sohyun was selected to play Lee Eunbi. She is the youngest person among the actors but keeps the balance of the drama. The staff said that they got confidence when they saw her studying and seriously analyzing  the character. In addition, she is almost the same age with her character so they thought that she can express high school student’s feelings in a better way. 

Then they said that Nam Joohyunk was casted since his appearance will make the character stand out and his taciturn personality matched perfectly as well. Nam Joohyuk used to be a swimmer so they thought that he can talk about Han Ian’s story with more realism. 

Sekang High School’s trouble maker Gong Taekwang was given to Yuk Sungjae. The staff stated, ‘We all thought that he was the perfect guy for this role’. Yuk Sungjae has actually the same personality than the character since he reacted for the staff’s spiteful questions as if he was Gong Taekwang. 

The other actors like Kim Heejung for the role of Cha Songju, Lee Chohee for Lee Shijin and Cho Suhyang for Kang Soyang were all casted in the same way. 

The director of ‘Who Are You: School 2015’ said ‘The ‘School’ series are produced to present actors that we should pay attention to the future. I believe that those actors will show their abilities throughout the drama”. 

The drama is about the real life of 18-year-old students who will present their real problems and worries.
