sugarplum892
50 Shades of Grey: All sex removed from censored Vietnamese versionThe censored Vietnamese version of Fifty Shades of Grey has seen all sex scenes removed.Over 20 minutes of material has been cut from the erotic thriller, with the cuts leaving cinemagoers in the country baffled by the film's ending. The scene in which Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) asks Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) to demonstrate how he would punish her for breaking their contract remains, but the subsequent sequence in which Grey beats her with a belt has been removed. As a result, Vietnamese viewers were left none the wiser as to why a sobbing Anastasia leaves Grey at the end of the film.Vietnamese filmgoer Xuan Thao told The Independent: "It's totally ridiculous. This version is rated 16+, but it doesn't need an age restriction; a 5-year-old could watch it. "Even the trailer was sexier. They'd have been better banning it altogether."The erotic thriller has been banned in India, Indonesia, Cambodia and Malaysia. Vietnamese film critic Cat Khue explained that the country's strict cinematography laws forbid material featuring "image, sound, dialog or scripts which are obscene, depraved, incestuous or contrary to national fine customs and traditions".She added: "It has become a familiar thing to us to watch films that have had scenes of sex and violence removed."The film has also been banned in India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Kenya, UAE, Cambodia, Papua New Guinea and the North Caucasus region of Russia.Fifty Shades of Grey was handed an 18 rating in the UK and an R rating in the USA, while the French film board gave it a 12 certificate.Source
Guest deflate
This film was probably one of the worst films I've ever seen (and I sat through all of Spring Breakers). The dialogue was totally cheesy, the sex scenes were awkward and there was no plot. I didn't read the books but the trailers looked promising yet it turned out to be a total disappointment. It's definitely a film for Twilight fans who are older than the typical Twilight fan base though... but I don't think its worth the 10 bucks to go see it in theaters. I got bored about half way in because the film got so repetitive.
Latte_Anyday
And I finally got my :-$ (pirated) :-$ copy of this long awaited movie. I was goin' to avoid watchin' this like the plague at first but gave in eventually anyway. I should've gone with my first instinct 8-|Not only was this movie a huge mess, it was also quite frankly...trash I will give credit to Dakota though, she gave Ana the right amount of wit, spunk and vulnerability that made the character believable. Wish I could say the same for Jamie, who looks mostly blank or confused throughout this movie. As for the sex scenes, it was pretty tame/mild to what I was expecting. It was soft porn at its best /:) After awhile, the sight of Dakota's emaciated body kind of got old & boring. (:| Love the soundtrack though - the only saving grace from this catastrophe.
